Problem with "The Movies" game DVD

Ok, here is my problem.
I bought the game "The Movies", at first it was working fine, but one evening, I tried to upload a movie and it just didn't do it. I tried 3 or 4 times, but I could never upload my movie.
So I stop trying and the day after when I tried to play, I put my DVD in my computer, when I tryed to play, it says put the DVD in the computer, but the DVD was already in, so I took it out, cleaned it and put it back, but then the DVD never appeared on the desktop.
I tried many other DVD/CD and everything works just fine.
Then I delete everything from the game (maybe I shouldn't have) and tried again, but nothing.
Later I learn that a Flip4Mac update was causing some problem with the game and I did something when installing a mod, I had the french version, but the .txt in the mod was in english, so I add, the english (en-UK) in a file.
Now, I rebought the game + the expansion (The Movies + The Movies Stunts & Effects, the english version this time) and the same thing is going on, the "The Movies" DVD won't appear on the desktop, but when I put "Stunts & Effects" in it works fine.
What can I do?

How much free drive is on your Mac? Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop, then click: Get Info. In the Get Info window, click the discovery triangle so it's facing down. You will see; Capacity and Available Make sure you have 10% available disk space, 15% is better.
Boot from your restore disk and make sure the boot disk is free of errors. Restart your Mac while holding down the C key, pressing the power button and inserting your restore disk all at the same time. An Installer window will open, but do not proceed with any installations. Instead, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Disk Utility. In the Disk Utility window click First Aid, and then click Verify. If Disk Utility reports errors, click Repair. When Disk Utility is finished, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Disk. Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x and click Restart.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

Problem with the mov file of Nikon D5200

Hello everyone :
I just got some mov files form my friends' Nikon D5200.
At first I was glad that it was MOV file and I don't have to convert them,
but then I found out that when play those video in Final Cut Pro X, the image is choppy and broken.
I snapshot two picture for example:
I then play those video on different software, Like Adobe Premiere, Quicktime Player, Mplayer X....etc. And it was fine.
and I also try to convert those video into another format with FCPX or Compressor, but it still looks choopy.
So, is there anybody can help me with this? Or should I call out to apple company for help?
Here's other details of those videos and my computer :
imac 27" late 2012
Nvidia GTX 680MX
OSX 10.8.3
Those Vidoes are 1080P 59.94P MOV files

My fianl Cut Pro Version is the latest 10.0.8.
I was using custom setting, and the setting is base on video itself. (1080P, 54.94 Frame Rate)
And now, here comes a new discover:
When I let FCPX determine the project setting base on the first clip, it didn't change anything, and still remain the FPS to 29.97i, like the picture below:
But the truth is, those media are shot in Frame Rate 59.94, and Premiere will change the frame rate to 54.94 automatically, like the picture below:
But in the premiere, although the graphic is fine, but the speed of playback is very lag.
So i was wondering if it is the file's problem or not. But the QT can play it well, so I just don't know what is wrong....
PS : I was wondering, what is the "first clip" mean? first clip which drags on the timeline? (Like Premiere), or first clips which import to the relative event?

What version of FCP are you using? Did you let FCP determine the project settings based on the first clip, or did you have custom settings?

ITunes file too big...problems with the move

So, like many people I purchased an external hard drive for my iTunes folder because it is taking up too much space off my hard drive. I followed the importation directions. It imported the song names, but not the artist and album. When I used the "get cd names/track info" function to connect to the cddb database, it gave an error message stating to redo importing the music off the cd's with itunes. That is how I got it into my iTunes folder in the first place (before I moved the folder to the external drive). Is there any way I can easily recover the album and artist info? I am hesitant to import any more cd's before I resolve this. Second question: I only bought an 80 GB portable external hard drive. I heard western digital's arent so great, but it was cheap. I think I am going to need one at least twice the size of this one, and portable at that (I have a laptop). Will I have this album/artist problem if I buy a bigger hd and push my iTunes folder to the new drive I will probably have to buy? The idea of entering in the song info for 800 songs doesen't sound too appealing to me....

What I want to do is open a blank file and then add other images to it,
adjusting the position and size of these images , this was easy in 4 but I
can't seem to do it in 9. Any help would be greatly welcomed.
I will buy a bit more RAM and see if things speed up a bit

Anyone else having problem with the latest JAVA update?

I'm not sure if it comes from Apple this or flip4mac. But anyway it said the other day, we think you should have this update it will make things work better. So I thought, what the heck, I might as well. Only, since I've installed the update I've have nothing but problems with the online games at yahoo. Keep getting stale pages, wont load that sort of thing. It's very frustrating, certainly since you have to type the screwed up letters on the screen everytime, and they are barely legible to the human eye most times.

Since updating Firefox I have problems with playing Zynga games

since updating Firefox I have problems with the Zynga games I am playing. The functions often stop working so I have to reboot the game. Also there are often a lot of items missing on my screen so I can't play at all

I have this problem, as well, since the upgrade to 4.0.1. After the upgrade, I found several 'Recovered Files' in my Trash. On taking a look, they all had to do with the Crowdstar app. Happy Aquarium, I believe, but there are several folders of them. Some of them could have to do with Zynga's FarmVille.
However, after repeated problems, I installed Chrome 10. to see if the Facebook apps. would work. They did, without problems. That tells me the folders in Trash shouldn't have anything to do with whether they operate or not but it has something to do with something Firefox has done, or not done, with this upgrade. Frankly, I'm baffled and more than a little annoyed. :/
However, thinking back to the upgrade, it happened suddenly while I was on the phone with AppleCare on another matter. It was they who suggested I needed to upgrade my browser and I did it immediately, on-the-spot. It wasn't what you would call a 'clean install' because I was on the phone but also online with AppleCare. The process went so fast, I remember there were things about the installation that didn't quite seem right and I do remember that the earlier version of Firefox was not removed prior to the upgrade. Is there any chance something could be out-of whack because of this? If so, I need to know how to save my passwords, bookmarks, profile, and any other critical info that would need to be transferred.

I'd take it into my local APple store and have them look at it. There may be something wrong inside your device.

I suspect you are attempting to burn an HD DVD, which will not play on a DVD player...
But if you provide more details such as the settings you are applying in Compressor, then we would be able to provide you more accurate information.
How are you adding the files to Compressor?
In FCP, what are your footage properties (command-9) and sequence settings (command-0)

I ave some problems with the right management for files in the movie folder

There are saome files with toe records of everyone in the right. I can't delete or copy this files without my Admin password. The folder movies where displayed without the triangel in the list option. I have copied all files an folders to an external drive. The Folder Movies have i delete ove my root account. Then I have all files copied zo the new folder who was created automatical when i locked in. Now the problem with the list view ist solved but the rights of the files are not solved. I can change the rights vor the everyone manually for each file. But for more than 1000 files this is not usable.

I am having a problem with the audio on a movie that I downloaded. It is scratchy and difficult to listen to. How can I fix this?

Depending upon what country that you are in (films can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the film from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes (or delete it from your iOS device and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app on it)

BTW I tried using doferent setings in compressor from CBR and VBR I even pushed up the setings to 8 or 9 BR and still no luck !

Let's focus attention on just the Sony. (What model and what resolution are you shooting?)
For now, I'll assume you're shooting 1080i.
Take a representaive clip into a new sequence. Add a title.
In your sequence, make sure field dominance is set to Upper.
Set render settings to Pro Res 422.
After rendering, export QT self contained.
Import into Compressor (I'm now referring to v3.5).
Select the 90 minute Best quality DVD preset.
Open frame controls and turn on (click the gear icon). Set Resize filter to Best.
Submit burn and check quality on TV.

Does anyone have problems with iTunes movie rentals freezing in the middle of the movie, requiring a force quit, which causes your rental to disappear? This has happened multiple times to me recently. Last time Apple didn't refund my money after reporting the problem. I have been using iTunes for many years but am about to give up.

Correction: I was refunded for the previous movie freeze.
