Problem with wsdeploy classpath

We are facing a problem with wsdeploy of jwsdp1.4.
Problem is the option "-classpath <path>" of wsdeploy is not taking more than one jar file, so while executing it is unable to find the classes which are used in service endpoint interface. If I include those classes in war file it is going thro without any problem.
The wsdeploy target is as below.
<target name="wsdeploy" depends="makewar">
<exec executable="${JAXRPC_HOME}\bin\wsdeploy.bat">
<arg line="-classpath c:\mvc_facsrchwslib/MVC_FACSRCHWS.jar;C:\j2sdkee1.4\lib\j2ee.jar;"/>
<arg line="-o c:\mvc_facsrchwslib\MVC_FACSRCHWS.war " />
<arg line="-tmpdir c:\mvc_facsrchws\assemble" />
<arg line="-verbose"/>
<arg line="c:\mvc_facsrchwslib\${portable-war}"/>
</exec>
</target>
The classes referred by Service endpoint interface are in MVC_FACSRCHWS.jar, but wsdeploy is niether identifing this jar file nor build classpath property and the output is misleading as if I have passed to war files
The output is as below.

    PATH is not CLASSPATH - they are different.
    The Windows path is a set of pointers that Windows uses to locate programs that you execute, like javac.exe and java.exe. This setting is explained here:

    Scroll down to: 5. Update the PATH variable
    (you should have already done this as part of the Java installation)
    The CLASSPATH is another set of pointers that is used by Java to find the files that you create and want compiled and/or run. This setting is explained here:
    Setting the Classpath:

  • Problems with packages, classpath and BouncyCastle Library

    Hi everybody!
    Shortly, after adding BC's crypto library to my MOBILE (J2ME) project, when I build it returns a NoClassDefFoundError about java.math.BigInteger class.
    Its package is the same of J2SE but is included in this library. Now, this should not be a problem, 'cause java.math.BigInteger is not included in J2ME, and library's release is (I'm sure) for J2ME...I think it's a problem of classpath but I can't find a way to go on with my project!
    Please, if anybody knows where I'm wrong let me know!!!
    ...and sorry for my bad english...;-)

    I think the update is buggy. Many people (inc. me) are having problems with it. Am not able to play any songs/videos .. terrible !

  • Problem with wsdeploy

    Following the instruction in Chapter 12: Building Web Services With JAX-RPC, I wrote a service similar to helloservice. But I got the following error while trying to deploy the service. Can anyone tell me if it is the problem of the configration file (e.g. config-interface.xml, jaxrtp-ri.xml) or the problem of my source code?
    Thanks in advance for you time and your help.

  • JDK 1.4.2_10; problem with applet/classpath/OBJECT tag

    I'm supporting an applet that needs to run in JDK 1.4.2_10 in order to work. (I don't own the code, so I can't fix the issue)
    I'd like to force that particular applet to run under JDK 1.4.2_10, but allow other applets to run on the current default JVM.
    I'm trying to do this by using the JDK's htmlconverter.exe utility to force the use of JDK 1.4.2_10. That part is working as expected, but I'm experiencing a side effect.
    The problem is that, when I use the OBJECT tag instead of the APPLET tag, the browser attempts to download the class with this URL
    http://hostname.here.com/app.testing/app.testbed/classes/appls%2fDOLARS%2fuser%2fApplet%2fclass.class
    instead of this URL
    http://hostname.here.com/app.testing/app.testbed/classes/appls/DOLARS/user/Applet.class
    The second URL works; the first does not. When I use the APPLET tag, it generates the second URL and downloads the class successfully.
    I'd like to a) use the OBJECT tag. b) get it to use the correct URL to download the Applet.class file. What do I need to do to make this happen?
    Thanks,
    Tom Valesky

  • Problem with my classpath

    Hi,
    I have a jdk, and a jre on my machine, in folders,
    jdk1.5.0_02
    jre1.5.0_02
    and I put all my dependent jars here: jdk1.5.0_02\jre\lib\ext
    and my JAVA_HOME=jdk1.5.0_02, and my PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin.
    Now my problem is when I try to run my application from the command prompt.
    if I just do "java Test" I get an:
    java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
    at java.awt.EventQueue.invokeAndWait(Unknown Sour
    at javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(Unkn
    and the reason it seems is that it doesn't find my jars.
    However, if I do:
    "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02\bin\java Test"
    then everything works out fine.
    this normally isn't a problem, since I work from within an IDE, however, I have been tryin to create an ant buildfile, and i cant get the java task to work correctly.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    also, my CLASSPATH=.
    Thanks!

  • Problem with JSSE classpath

    Hi all,
    I am using Redhat Linux 7.1 with Jdk1.3.1_02 & installed jsse1.0.2. I want to generate a temporary certificate using keytool. I am using the following command
    keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA
    I get the following error
    keytool error: java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: RSA KeyPairGenerator not available
    I have set the classpath also & I see the files in the classpath.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    ..Raj

    You sure the JSSE is installed correctly? Like, the jar files placed in the jre/lib/ext dir and the proper provider update made to the security file?

  • Problem with setting classpath

    Hi,
    I am trying to set up jclasspath using following statement
    set path=%classpath%;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_09\bin;C:\Sun\AppServer\lib\j2ee.jar;
    But i am getting the following error :
    StatusUpdate.java:9: package javax.servlet does not exist
    import javax.servlet.*;
    ^
    StatusUpdate.java:10: package javax.servlet.http does not exist
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    ^
    What am i doin wrong?
    Thanks
    Vivek

    well for one the statement you showed is setting path, not classpath
    PATH : the order in which the operating system searches for programs to run (windows property)
    CLASSPATH : the default locations it looks for java classes when you run javac or java
    the java/bin directory should not need to be in the classpath.
    Instead you should have the current directory in the classpath when you are compiling from command line.
    set path=%classpath%;.;C:\Sun\AppServer\lib\j2ee.jar;
    How are you compiling - via the command line?
    try: java -classpath .;C:\Sun\AppServer\lib\j2ee.jar StatusUpdate.java

  • Problems with running programs

    Hi,
    I have written a program and have no problem to compile it. But when I try to run it by typing:
    java filename ,
    I get an error message saying: "Exception in Thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Filename.."
    Whats my problem??
    Thanks

    Hi there,
    I believe it's a problem with your CLASSPATH settings.
    You can either set ur CLASSPATH in ur Autoexec.bat file by typing the following:
    SET CLASSPATH=.;%CLASSPATH%
    where,
    1. "." refers to the current directory your compiled class files are found (i.e. the default directory that your class file will be generated when you compile ur .java file)
    2. %CLASSPATH% appends whatever you have already set in ur CLASSPATH settings before, to the current one you be setting, i.e. "." - the current directory.
    However, to save urself from all these hassle, you may want to try executing the following command:
    java -cp . filename
    replace "filename" with the filename of ur .class file.
    It should work.
    Cheers
    PTC

  • Slight problem with the environment

    I have written code that works fine when i run it tthrough JCreator.
    But as soon as i run it via command prompt from windows plattform . it gives exception in main thread and gives the following message
    C:\java>java RandomDice.java
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: RandomDice/java
    The code is ok and works fine .
    Can someone explain what causes this problem and how to handle it

    Read question number 4
    "http://access1.sun.com/FAQSets/newtojavat
    echfaq.
    html]here
    Do you mean
    [url=http://access1.sun.com/FAQSets/newtojavatechfaq.h
    tml]here?[url=http://access1.sun.com/FAQSets/newtojavate
    chfaq.html]here[/url]
    There doesn't appear to be any problem with the
    classpath in this case.
    Oh! I overlooked this RandomDice.javaAnyways it would do the op a world of good if he reads the entire FAQ.

  • Runtime.exec() problem with Linux

    Hi All,
    I have a java program which I am using to launch java programs on all platforms.
    I am using the Runtime.exec() method to start the process in a separate JVM.
    But, I had a problem with the -classpath switch if the directories contained spaces. So I modified the java command which I am passing to the exec() method to something like:
    java -classpath \"./my dir with spaces\" com.harshal.MainThis I had to do because of the problem in windows. But, if I use double quotes in Linux (for the classpath switch in my exec() method), it won't work.
    Can anyone correct me so that I can use the Runtime.exec() method on all platforms to launch the java application even if the classpath directories contains spaces.
    Thank you very much.

    I was reading about the command line args on java's
    tutorial and I found a shocking news. Mac OS doesn't
    support command line args, That's news to me. Could you please elaborate ?
    More important is: I got it working. I figured out I had forgotten to try something before, or, to be more correct, I made an error when trying malcommc's envp suggestion: I used "classpath" as key, not "CLASSPATH", as it should have been.
    Ran a new test, got it working.
    Sample:
    Given a rootdir. Subdirectory "cp test" with a classfile (named "test") without package declaration. Running another class in another directory, using:
    String[] cmd = new String[]{
        "java", "test"
    String[] envp = new String[]{
        "CLASSPATH=rootdir:rootdir/cp test" // <-- without quotes.
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd, envp);It's been my wrong all the time. I didn't check hard enough. It simply had to work somehow (that's the kind of things that's easy to say afterwards :-)).

  • Problem with Class and Classpath

    Hello ME Windows Users, now before you place a wry smile on your face, I have a problem with path and classpath. Stop it, I can see you smiling!
    By visiting the the last 10 pages of the forum and reading Sun installation notes, some tooldocs and by given some answers by some nice people, I have become an expert in turning off my computer, about 10 times/hr. I still am trying to make my first cup of java.
    With the ME computer,
    I'm unable to right click on the desktop and go to properties, advanced,
    I'm unable to go go start, run, sysedit,
    I'm unable to change the ms-dos window of autoexec.bat, it just shuts down.
    Now before you tell me, I should of bought a different computer, the only place I can find to modify the path and classpath is in the environment which is in system configuration under tools. Here I have placed numerous configurations, like
    C:\java>set path=%path%;c:\j2sdk1.4.2\bin
    C:\java>set classpath=%classpath%;.;
    ;java_dir\bin where ;java_bin is c:\j2sdk1.4.2
    .; java_dir\bin; %path% where ;java_bin is c:\j2sdk1.4.2 and the list goes on.
    But, I know you are still smiling, the % signs comes up in a dialog box, saying too many, and will not convert the text to the environment to be saved when I close down for the tenth time in the last hour.
    Can someone help me before I make a real cup of coffee and accidentally drop it on the ME box.
    Have a laugh on me Mik.

    C:\java>set path=%path%;c:\j2sdk1.4.2\binGood
    But it is no good because it has to many % and a dialog box appears, saying you have too many parameters.
    Are you saying I have to shutdown again to answer your ?
    From the HELP menu-
    To confirm startup commands line by line
    Click Start, and then click Shut down.
    Click Restart, click OK, and then press and hold the CTRL key until the Windows Startup Menu appears.
    Enter the number for Step-by-step confirmation, and then press ENTER.
    For each command you want to run, press Y.
    If the command runs successfully, you are prompted with the next command.
    If the command does not run successfully, you receive an error message.
    To skip a command, press N.

  • Problem with classpath for XP

    i've made a java applet with three classes, two of which are classes to construct variables needed for the main interface to work. but the interface class cannot recognise that the other two classes exist. it gives out the cannot resolve system error. i know that there is no problem with the program syntax (or which directory they are in) because it compiles on other computers and i can compile the individual classes on my sustem. i have made numerous one class programs before so the compiler definitely works in some situations. i'm thinking then that the problem must be with my jdk in some way. i've tried re-installing my jdk and installing a different jdk but stil no joy. someone mentioned to me it could be something to do with how the classpath is set up but this is something i'm a bit unsure about, i know though that XP is slightly different to the other windows o/s. any advice would be much appreciated.

    My Windows is not English so I'm not sure whether it's exactly the same:
    Start>Configuration>System>Environment variables
    If there is a variable with the name "CLASSPATH" (system variables) look if . is in your classpath. If not, add to the classpath ";." . And if there is no CLASSPATH variable, add it (and add the value . to it).
    I hope it helps.
