  • Problem accessing Sql server Procedure from Crystal with JDBC driver

    I have some Crystal reports using SQL Server procedures, most of them are working very well; however, I have 2 that have problems accessing sql server procedures. These reports are working using OLE DB connection without problem, but when I try to relocate the connection to JDBC Crystal generates an error like that the procedure not return records.
    The procedure is working with other products including OLE DB connections from crystal.
    What can I do?
    Thanks in Advance,
    JaimeC

    I am using:
    Crystal report 11 - 11.0.0.1282 and Crystal 2008 = 12.0.0.683
    SQL Server 2005 -  Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express     9.00.4035.00
    Windows XP
    I have discovered that the procedures create and work  temporary tables. In other cases when is working ok, the procedures have not working temporary tables.

  • What is the problem with this Stored Procedure

    Hi ,
    What is the problem with this Stored Procedure ?Why is it giving errors ??
    CREATE or replace  PROCEDURE getEmpName
    *(EMP_FIRST OUT VARCHAR2(255))*
    BEGIN
    SELECT ename INTO EMP_FIRST
    FROM Emp
    WHERE EMPNO = 7369;
    END ;
    */*

    You don't specify precision in procedure arguments.
    (EMP_FIRST OUT VARCHAR2(255))should be
    (EMP_FIRST OUT VARCHAR2)Since you asked what's wrong with it, I could add that it needs formatting and the inconsistent use of upper and lower case is not helping readability.

        END PROCESS_ROW;The problem is at this line:
    SELECT PLAN_ID INTO l_plan_id FROM INTEGRATION.MAPPING WHERE account = l_account;
    The error(s) I'm getting is:
    PLS-00371: at most one declaration for 'L_PLAN_ID' is permitted
    PL/SQL: ORA-00904: : invalid identifier
    The INTEGRATION.MAPPING table is currently empty, I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with it?

    Should be more or less self-explanatory:
    In your first question, the code sample shows that you've declared L_PLAN_ID twice and the error message states:
    "PLS-00371: at most one declaration for 'L_PLAN_ID' is permitted"
    So, although datatype or length for your variables may differ, you still cannot use the same name for a variable more than once in a PL/SQL block.

  • Problem calling PL/SQL procedures from Function Activity Issue

    Hi,
    I am working with Oracle Workflow and I have found some problems adding a function activity in the process diagram. This function only updates some registers on the data base, or at least it should do that.
    I have been looking through the items in this forum and I have found similar things but not the right one. Of course I am a learner in all this and maybe the answer in there.
    I will try to show you my problem:
    When the procedure is supposed to be called, it doesnt´t do that and instead I found the following error:
    Wf_Engine_Util.Function_Call(usuario.WF_FIN_TG.FINTG1, FLUJO1, 092S0087, 588782, RUN) ORA-01403: no data found
    I have tested all the queries from TOAD and SAL Server, and all of them return some results.
    I have tried to take out all the queries from the procedure as the following to try to avoid or change the error but it continues as "ORA-01403: no data found":
    PROCEDURE FINTG1(
    p_itemtype IN VARCHAR2,
    p_itemkey IN VARCHAR2,
    p_actid IN NUMBER,
    p_funcmode IN VARCHAR2,
    p_resultado IN OUT VARCHAR2
    ) IS
    flujo VARCHAR2(;
    p_resultado :=1;
    END FINTG1;
    It seems as the workflow engine try to search something before executing my procedure.
    Has anybody any idea about how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot.

    WF_ENGINE_UTIL.Function_Call is the lowest level procedure executed by the engine before it executes the procedure associated with the function activity. I am not sure if this procedure would throw ORA 1403 since this does not have a query or a collection.
    Please note that ORA 1403 could occur from a SQL query or a collection.
    Looking at your code, p_resultado :=1;
    The function activity should return a resultout that the workflow engine understands. The valid results from the function activities as per the workflow guide are,
    wf_engine.eng_completed - 'COMPLETE'; -- Normal completion
    wf_engine.eng_active - 'ACTIVE'; -- Activity running
    wf_engine.eng_waiting - 'WAITING'; -- Activity waiting to run
    wf_engine.eng_notified - 'NOTIFIED'; -- Notification open
    wf_engine.eng_suspended - 'SUSPEND'; -- Activity suspended
    wf_engine.eng_deferred - 'DEFERRED'; -- Activity deferred
    wf_engine.eng_error - 'ERROR'; -- Completed with error
    You would normally use COMPLETE or ERRORED within your activity. Please change your code to use a valid resultout and try again.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Problem in Service Pricing Procedure

    Dear Experts,
    I am facing on interesting problem In service prices in Purchase Order -
    I have One vendor for material supply. So Material Pricing procedure has been assigned to him through Schema group vendor. and as a price determination process pricing process comes in PO.
    But in my current scean - i am creating Service Purchase Order for the Same vendor. Material Pricing procedure is there in conditions tab. I am entering service order price at services tab. it is picking correct price in Service conditions.
    But again it is picking the same service price in Material Conditions in material pricing procedure. issue is not only that it is doubling (multiplying number of times).
    Also please suggest me how to treat the pricing procedure for the vendors who supplies materials as well services.
    Thanks in Advance !

    Hi
    The PO line item can be either material or service.
    If it is service line item with item category D then you should enter the price at service number level which will pass on to the Conditions tab page.
    I do not think you will have doubling of price in this case.
    You will not able to enter the PBXX price in this material condition tab page.
    Regards

  • Problems with date in procedure on Oracle 11g

    Hi gurus,
    I have some problems with the date format on Oracle 11g.
    Let me explain the situation:
    When I am starting a request like
    select to_number(to_char(to_date('01.04.2009','dd.mm.yyyy'), 'yyyy'))
    from sys.dual
    I got as result 2009 as number.
    When I do the same in a procedure of a package like this
    my_year := to_number(to_char(to_date('01.04.2009','dd.mm.yyyy'), 'yyyy'));
    the variable my_year contains the value 9 instead of 2009.
    Can someone explain me what's going wrong?
    I have just tested with changing the environment variable nls_date_format for the session and for the complete database with no success.
    Regards,
    Björn

    Thank you all for your replies so far:
    @Alex: You are right, using your short script in sqlplus gives me also 2009 as result
    So, I am now posting the essential excerpts of the procedure because the whole one is to large:
    function insert_szrl (my_fremd_name varchar, my_elementadresse varchar,
    my_zeitstempel varchar, my_wert float,
    my_status varchar, my_zyklus varchar,
    my_offset integer,
    my_quelle varchar, my_nzm_daten integer) return integer is
    begin
    my_date := to_date (substr (my_zeitstempel, 1, 10), 'dd.mm.yyyy') + my_tageswechsel +1/24;
    if my_zyklus = 'mm' then
    my_zeitstempeldate := add_months(to_date(last_day(to_date(my_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')), 'dd.mm.yyyy'),-1) +1 + (my_tageswechsel+1/24);
    my_days := to_date(last_day(to_date(my_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')), 'dd.mm.yyyy') - add_months(to_date(last_day(to_date(my_date, 'dd.mm.yyyy')), 'dd.mm.yyyy'),-1);
    my_year := to_number(to_char(to_date(my_date,'dd.mm.yyyy'), 'yyyy'));
    ptime.umschalttage_tuned (my_year, my_ws, my_sw);
    end if;
    While debugging the complete procedure I see since the start only a date which looks like '01.04.2009 07:00:00'

  • Problem in mapping -Guided procedures

    Hi All,
          I have a interactive form parameter called Price of type decimal in Guided procedure, and i have a BAPI parameter StdPrice of type decimal. when i tried to group these two parameters the "Group" button gets disabled. When i  tried by checking Ignore types i was able to group the parameters but once i save the action and look back its ungrouped again.
    Is there any difference between the BAPI decimal parameter and Adobe interactive form decimal parameter?
    Note : EP Version 7.0 and SP13, Adobe Live Cycle Designer 7.1
    With Regards,
    Gopal.

    The problem turned out to be in the php code.
    Here's how I changed it
    <?php
    require_once ('C:/webtools/zendframework/zf/library/Zend/Amf/Server.php');
    $server = new Zend_Amf_Server();
    // the following methods provide the lazy loading of services and value objects
    $server->addDirectory( realpath(dirname(__FILE__) . "/../services/") );
    $server->addDirectory( realpath(dirname(__FILE__) . "/../vos/") );
    echo($server->handle());

    Earlier I wasn't taking into account the change of directories for service and value object files.

  • Problem of java stored procedure

    hi,
    now I use the oracle9i JDeveloper9.0.3.1 to develop java stored procedure and then publish it to oracle9i database.

    import java.util.Properties;
    public class SQLServerEventDistribute
    public static void sqlServerSaveData(String hostName,String databaseName,String user,String password,String tableName,int x1,int y1,int x2,int y2,String ip)

    System.out.println(connectSQLServerEx.getMessage());
    catch(SQLException connectSQLServerEx)
    System.out.println(connectSQLServerEx.getMessage()+connectSQLServerEx.getErrorCode());
    the main class is as follows:
    public class Test
    public static void main(String[] args)
    SQLServerEventDistribute.sqlServerSaveData("gsm","gsmd","sa","sa","IPBinding",11,45,24,21,"23.1.248.12");
    and the PL/SQL procedure is as follows:

    BEGIN
    SQLSERVERSAVEDATA('gsm','gsmd','sa','sa','IPBinding',11,45,24,21,'23.1.248.22');
    END;
    How can I deal with it?
    can you tell me?
    thanks

    Hi JavaQQ,
    This is just a guess, but I think you need to load the
    Micro$oft SQLServer JDBC driver into the Oracle
    database (using the "loadjava" utility).
    In any case, there are several ways -- apart from JDBC
    -- for accessing a different database from within an
    Oracle database. Have you tried searching the Oracle
    Web sites for suitable products?
    Hope this helps.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.abramia ,thank you very much.
    but I have load the Microsoft SQLServer JDBC driver into the Oracle database .
    When I debugged the PL/SQL procedure,the exception was thrown at line connection=DriverManager.getConnection(url,property);
    What's the problem with it?

  • Problem with java source procedure

    Hello everyone, I've set up a simple example that is supposed to create an fdf file on the server. I tested my program and it works fine.
    Now I'm trying to do the same thing except that I would like to have my java code in the database. Here's what I've done:
    # on database in opus schema
    create or replace and compile java source named testpdf as
    import java.io.*;
    import com.adobe.fdf.*;
    import com.adobe.fdf.exceptions.*;
    public class TestPDF
         public static void Test()
    try
         FDFDoc outputFDF = new FDFDoc();
         outputFDF.SetValue("status", "En traitement!");
         outputFDF.SetValue("Date", "01-01-2006");
         outputFDF.SetValue("Name", "Alexandre Folgueras");
         outputFDF.SetValue("Address", "12 Saratoga Ave");
         outputFDF.SetValue("City", "Saratoga");
         outputFDF.SetValue("State", "CA");
    outputFDF.SetFile("/tmp/java_pdf/GenerateFDF.pdf");
    outputFDF.Save("/tmp/java_pdf/alex.fdf");
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    create or replace procedure pdf_doc
    AS LANGUAGE JAVA
    NAME 'TestPDF.Test()';
    commit;
    Everything seems to be OK by when I run it, my file does not get created even though I don't get any errors.
    Anybody knows why?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
    I'm also creating a class with static functions and putting it as a Java source in Oracle but I have problems with imports. In my case, I use MQSeries JAR files and when I put my code in Oracle, I have warnings "Java created with compilation errors". It's just about the lines where I create/use MQSeries objects, because when I comment them, I have no more errors.
    I see you also use specific imports with PDF, so I would like to know where you put the JAR files so that the Java source can be compiled correctly.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Db Adapter: problems by calling a procedure with type as parameter

    Hi,
    We using a db adapter in a bpel process.
    In that dapter we call a procedure with types as in and out parameter
    package.procedure(p_in IN in_t, p_rsult OUT result_t).
    When we calling the procedure, we don't call the procedure directly.
    We call that procedure in a schema who have the execute rigths for the package and the types.
    When we run the process we get the error message
    unable to convert the xsd element p_in whose user defined type is in_t
    cause: java.sql.SQLException: ora-01436 connect by loop in user data
    I am not shore if I draw the right conclusions.
    Is it rigth that bpel have a problem by using types as parameter when using two schematas? Isn't it a bug.
    For every help I was thankful.
    Thanks in advanced.
    Michael

    Hi,
    thanks for the hint. I have implemented a wrapper package and it's working well.
    Only one crux. The parameter of the called procedure are data types and not simple types.
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE pesa_db_return_t AS OBJECT
    (SUCCESS_MSG varchar2(255)
    ,FAULT_SQLCODE varchar2(255)
    ,FAULT_SQLMSG varchar2(255)
    Wrapper package...
    IS
    PROCEDURE prc_writeReOinDB (p_AuftragRechnungOnline IN pesa_data.pesa_tivu_reo_t
    ,p_result OUT pesa_data.pesa_db_return_t)
    IS
    BEGIN
    pkg_pesa_reo.prc_writeReOinDB (p_AuftragRechnungOnline => p_AuftragRechnungOnline
    ,p_result => p_result
    END prc_writeReOinDB;
    END pkg_pesa_wrapper;
    So I have to declare the parameter with the schema user in front of.
    Now, we have deployed thes sources on a second enviroment and get following error:
    <2008-04-22 15:01:25,749> <ERROR> <eweber.collaxa.cube.engine.dispatch> <BaseScheduledWorker::process> Failed to handle dispatch message ... exception ORABPEL-05002

    Cannot find class for type "org.apache.xerces.dom.ElementNSImpl". Please check that the class is located in the classpath.
    You have a hint for me what I have to do?

  • Problem with SQL,udfs & procedures

    I have couple of problems with my database. Please suggest solution.
    We are basically a web product With a Quite large Database
    1. I am using functions both User Defined and Built in Functions in
    SQL Statement. I want to optimize the query how do i do it.
    why the usage of function in sql statements suppresses,the
    usage of indexes internally. How to forceable make use of
    the index even though function is used.
    2. Whenver The Client makes a request to the Database server with a
    Sql Query What are the steps we can take at the
    client side to enhance the performance of the Query.
    (i.e the Data Request ). How to optimize the usage of CPU at
    client site?
    3. what is the increase in the performance ration by having
    separate table spaces for user data,system data and indexes.
    4. Why the procedures are getting invalided
    after some time. The procedure is
    not getting executed at the front end.
    Once the procedure is getting invalidated.
    However even though the status of the
    procedure is invalid the same is getting
    executed at the back end.
    Can anybody help me
    Request for reply ASAP.
    Regards
    Koshal
    null

    1. In Oracle 8i, one can create function-based indexes, where instead of indexing a column, one can index upper() of that column.
    2. Optimizing client performance is trickier. One can tune the queries being
    submitted by the client, but if getting the first row back -- which is how response time is generally perceived -- set the OPTIMIZER_MODE parameter in init.ora to FIRST_ROWS.
    3. There is minimal benefit to having data, index, rollback, and temp tablespaces all separated unless all the datafiles for each tablespace reside on different disks (data on disk 1, index on disk 2, etc). It's recommended regardless, but unless the files are on separate volumes, there won't be a great performance benefit.
    4. A procedure is invalidated whenever DDL is issued against any object that that procedure depends upon. For example, if you add a column to a table, any procedures which reference that table will be invalidated. Any procedures which reference views which reference that table will be invalidated, because the view will be invalidated. It's best to run a compile script which looks for and attempts to recompile any invalid objects on a daily basis.
