  • I am really not idea,java:comp not bound?!

    Hi everyone:
    I do this all the day but don't successful till now. :(
    I want to send a mail using Tomcat4.I setted the Mail Session JNDI in Tomcat console.Jndi is: mail/session , host: localhost
    But When I run the Servlet,Tomcat says:"java:comp not bound to this context"
    The method is according to the tomcat document.
    servlet code is:"Context initCtx = new InitialContext();
    Context envCtx = (Context) initCtx.lookup("java:comp/env");
    Session session = (Session)envCtx.lookup("mail/session");"
    Even I change the code to"Context initCtx = new InitialContext();
    Session session = (Session)initCtx.lookup("mail/session");"
    I also add the resource ref to web.xml and it is:
         <resource-ref>
                   <res-ref-name>mail/session</res-ref-name>
                   <res-type>javax.mail.Session</res-type>
                   <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    Tomcat says :"mail not bound to this context"
    Why?Someone help me?

    I forget to say: I had already set the value :
    <Resource auth="Container" name="mail/session" scope="Shareable" type="javax.mail.Session"/>
    <ResourceParams name="mail/session">
    <parameter>

  • WiFI problem: Driver is not bound succesfully...any comments how to solve?

    After a system check my Wifi stopped suddenly working. I have
    - noticed that the WiFI-network object is not anymore visible in the Network Connections
    - run WLAN diagnostics with Deveice Manager ==> Tells hw OK
    - I have updated and reloaded the driver from Intel site and it went thru OK
    - after rebooting I still get the msg "driver is not bound succesfully"
    - radio is ON, many networks are available
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!
    Hannu

    I managed to solve the problem:
    - download the latest wifi driver from Intel's support pages
    - go to device manager and uninstall the wifi-card driver
    - reboot system: XP notices that you have a new unconnected device and fixed that
    Worked for me!  Have a great day.

  • Javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name java:comp is not bound in this Con

    Hi
    I have developed a search servlet and deployed it in tomcat 4.0.3 and connected to mysql database through jdbc by specifying jndi.
    I have coded JNDI lokkup name as "java:comp/env/jdbc/KgoogleDB"
    I have added a context in server.xml file of tomcat for DBCP connection pooling .I have tested this in windows and it is running well in it.
    But when i hosted this in linux i got error like this

  • Problem in WEB-UI field (Not Bound)

    Hi Experts,
       I am new to CRM Technical, I have added new standard field (Date Of Birth) thourgh component work bench 'BSP_WD_CMPWB'  in 'Z_IC_AGENT' business role. after execution this business roles i could able to see this DOB field but its showing with 'NOT BOUND'
    1.   Can any one suggest me why that newly added field showing like that? Do i need to add any other setting or coding ?
    2.   How to add new Z field in this business role. Please tell me the right procedure.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh,
    please open you component in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
    Go to the contextnode where you added your attribute.
    Open the GET_ Method of your attribute and set here an external breakpoint.
    Now go back to the webclient UI, restart it and try again.
    You will stop at your breakpoint and you will be able to debug your issue.
    Kind regards

    Could be that your EJB is connected to a wrong datasource called only "jdbc"?
    Strangely you say that while reading data all works fine (so the datasource definition is ok) but only when writing data there is a NamingException.
    The stacktrace seems to report an error while getting datasource reference inside com.soluzionasf.arqw10.gc.cmp.OracleSequenceSessionLocal.getNextSequenceNumber method, the problems seems to be a bad name resource name ("jdbc" instead of java:jdbc/OracleDS or java:comp/env/jdbc/OracleDS if you use resource reference in your web.xml file). If you created this class as a CMP perhaps you misstype the right datasource name, otherwise if you code this method by yourseft you misstype the naming reference.

    we have started the implementation, and therefore we need some help related to the implementation.
    We r using EJB2.0 with JBuilder9, JBoss3.2 as the application server and tomcate as the web server.
    problem:
    I want to create manual database connection using DataSource,
    I am using mysql and database name is mydb.
    I have done all the reqiured configration of mysql with Joss and it is working.
    After getting the initial context, when i try to lookup the datasource, exception is thrown "mydb is not bound"
    Initial context is correct because i have tried entity beans asd it works well.
    code is
    Hashtable contextValues = new Hashtable();
    contextValues.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "jnp://loopback:1099");
    contextValues.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,

  • "Name jdbc is not bound in this Context" when conncetiong from different pa

    Hi,
    I'm just a beginner at this so I'll have to explain everything in details as i have no idea what could be wrong.
    I have a working connection to mydatabase using the following method in a CommonMethods.java file in WEB-INF; this file belongs to the "package mrkt.app;" package.
        public Connection getDataBaseConnection() {
            Connection conn = null ;
            try {
                Context ctx = new InitialContext();
                DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/jdbc/myproject");
                conn = ds.getConnection();
            } catch (Exception ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
            return conn ;
        }     I needed to create a new class in package "package mrkt.app.cat.shop;", in this new java file i need access to the database so i just copied and pasted the above code in the new java file, compiled it, put it in the "WEB-INF/classes/mrkt/app/cat/shop" folder, restarted tomcat to reload classes. The class is loaded successfully, but i always get the following error when calling the method(getShopsCount) using the connection function (getDatabaseConnection)

    I have the same problem!
    I created a couple of virtualhost on the same webapp like described here
    http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2003/06/25/tomcat_tips.html
    the application works without problems if I point my browser to
    http://ip_address/webapp
    but, if I open http://www.myvirtualhost.com/ I get a
    javax.servlet.ServletException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context
    I even defined the same datasource I use for the ip based browsing in the virtualhost datasources (through admin, without restarting tomcat) but I get the same exception... any suggestion?

  • JBOSS jndi Datasource: jdbc not bound

    Im adding an jndi Datasource to JBOSS 4.0.2.
    1. i copied jdbc driver to JBOSS_HOME/server/default/lib.

    </datasources>I look this up using java:jndi-name. Works perfect.
    For compatibility with other containers, i want to move my jndi-datasource to java:comp/env/jdbc/jndi-name
    So i change my ds-description:

    Some lines above jboss prints:
    [WrapperDataSourceService] Bound connection factory for resource adapter for ConnectionManager 'jboss.jca:name=comp/env/jdbc/jndi-name,service=DataSourceBinding to JNDI name 'java:comp/env/jdbc/jndi-name
    Please can somebody explain what the problem is about binding a datasource somewhere else than directly to "java:"

    In web.xml making the following entry:
    <web-app>
    <description>MySQL Test App</description>
    <resource-ref>
    <description>DB Connection</description>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/test</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    </web-app>
    Next, add a file jboss-web.xml under WEB-INF/ folder of the web-application. This file should contain entry as:
    <jboss-web>
    <resource-ref>
    <description>DB Connection</description>
    <res-ref-name>jdbc/test</res-ref-name>
    <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
    <jndi-name>java:/jdbc/test</jndi-name>
    <res-auth>Container</res-auth>
    </resource-ref>
    </jboss-web>
    Next, in JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy folder make a xx-ds.xml file or else, a similiar file can be found in that same folder with the name hsqldb-ds.xml. Make following entries in that xml file:
    <datasources>
    <local-tx-datasource>
    <jndi-name>/jdbc/test</jndi-name>
    <type-mapping>MySQL</type-mapping>
    <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/shopping_cart</connection-url>
    <driver-class>com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</driver-class>
    <user-name>root</user-name>
    <password>root123</password>
    <min-pool-size>1</min-pool-size>
    <max-pool-size>5</max-pool-size>
    </local-tx-datasource>
    This should bind the jndi name.
    In our client application, we need to look up as:
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("java:/jdbc/test");
    Connection conn = ds.getConnection();
    This works perfectly.

  • Context Node not bound

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where in i have to pass data from  view1 of Component 1  to View 2 of Component2.
    As i understand , this is possible only through the component controllers.
    while achieving this,I am facing a problem in the initial step itself.
    My View 1 has a context node BTADMINH and i have created a similar node in the comp.controller and have binded them using this code
      iv_controller_type = CL_BSP_WD_CONTROLLER=>CO_TYPE_COMPONENT
                 iv_target_node_name = 'BTADMINH'
                 iv_node_2_bind = BTADMINH )
    I have created 2 input fields in my view using these attributes.When i test the view i get the value BTADMINH not bound in both the input fields.
    Please guide me through to resolve the problem.
    Best Regards
    Uma Thirugnanam

    Hi Yevgen,
    Definitely. Sorry if i had not mentioned that. The BOL entity exists for the context nodes in both View controller and Component Controller.The nodes were basically created out of the BOL Entity named  'BTADMINH' itself.
    does your context node contain some value in runtime?
    The Two attributes that i have selected as modal attributes in the view are basically input fields. So i need to enter them once the view gets loaded.
    Best Regards

  • Java:comp/env bound and unbound at the same time

    I have a ServiceLocator class which has a method that looks up and caches EJB remote home objects. I am occasionally getting a NameNotFoundException from this method telling me that env is not bound when I try doing a lookup using a JNDI name such as "java:comp/env/ejb/MyEjb". What is so odd is that this lookup is working for other JNDI names under java:comp/env, as well as in other cases when using the same JNDI name which causes the exception. It appears that env is bound in some cases but not in others.
    This only occurs when I restart my JBoss server after a client has opened an HttpSession. If I also restart the client then the error doesn't occur. The client is a VB application which calls my JBoss web application's Servlets. I'm using JBoss 4.0.1.
    Can anyone give me a suggestion as to where I should look for the problem? Thanks in advance.
    --James

    A little more information:
    The ServiceLocator is a Singleton object which runs as part of the server, and has its InitalContext bound the first time it's used (this happens in the ServiceLocator Singleton's constructor). The weirdness I'm experiencing is that it completes several lookups successfully before bombing on a lookup which uses the same JNDI name of a lookup that previously worked -- it literally works on one call and then fails on the next. The difference between the times it works and the time it doesn't is that the successful ServiceLocator method invocations originate within Servlets or EJBs and the unsuccessful invokation is made from within a JMX component. Still it's the same ServiceLocator Singleton, with the same internal InitialContext, so it would follow that the InitialContext would never lose a binding, regardless of the type of component that calls the method which does a lookup.
    To further illustrate here's the scenario I'm dealing with:
    1. The server is started.
    2. The client is started.
    3. All is well -- the client calls the servlets, which either (a) call the ServiceLocator to get EJBs or (b) invoke JMX services (MBean methods) which call the ServiceLocator to get EJBs.
    4. The server is restarted.
    5. The client makes a call to a servlet.
    6. The servlet makes a call to the ServiceLocator method to get an EJB, and within that EJB the ServiceLocator is again called to get another EJB:
    a. Lookup of java:comp/env/ejb/EJBOne is successful
    b. Lookup of java:comp/env/ejb/EJBTwo is successful
    7. The client calls a method on a JMX service (MBean) which internally uses the ServiceLocator to get an EJB. In this case the lookup fails:
    c. Lookup of java:comp/env/ejb/EJBThree fails with the following exception stack trace:
    javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: env not bound
    at org.jnp.server.NamingServer.getBinding(NamingServer.java:491)

    at com.mycom.util.ServiceLocator.getRemoteHome(ServiceLocator.java:119)
    etc...
    7. The client receives the error and calls another servlet to refresh itself. This servlet looks up the same EJB which the JMX service was trying to lookup, and this time the ServiceLocator has no trouble finding it:
    b. Lookup of java:comp/env/ejb/EJBThree is successful
    In the ServiceLocator's lookup method I have added debug code to show the HashCode of the InitialContext being used, and in fact it is the same InitialContext being used each time.
    What I think is happening is that normally in my application when the JMX components invoke ServiceLocator methods these methods are never doing lookups and are always getting objects previously cached by lookups made by previous ServiceLocator method calls made the Servlets or EJBs. In other words the above scenario is the only time a JMX component is invoking a ServiceLocator method in which the requested object isn't already cached and the lookup actually needs to happen. The "java:comp/env" name is somehow not available within the context of JMX, and hence the lookup fails.
    So it appears that within the context of normal (non-JMX) components the JNDI name "java:comp/env" is bound to the InitialContext, but within the context of a JMX component the InitialContext temporarily loses this binding. Is this the really case? If so can someone point me to a reference in which this behavior explained?

  • Ejb3 bean not bound

    Hi I am new to EJB . Now in our project we are using ejb3 and persistance. So tried
    a simple program which I found out from net. But when I am trying to run I am getting
    bean not bound. And in JBoss console it is showing error like
    ObjectName: jboss.jca:service=DataSourceBinding,name=DefaultDS State: NOTYETINSTALLED
    These are all my files.
