Problems deleting application

Hi All,
we are working with OSGD 5.1 and Solaris SPARC.
We created an application called "Cambio de contraseña", and since it seems that the "ñ" carachter is not recognized by OSGD, we are having problems now when launching applications.
We can't delete nor cut nor move the application and the error tarantella shows when we tried by CLI is:
# tarantella object list_contents --name "o=applications/ou=MyOU"
Contents of .../_ens/o=applications/ou=MyOU:
cn=Cambio de contrase?a
# tarantella object list_attributes --name "o=applications/ou=MyOU/cn=Cambio de contrase?a"
Object .../_ens/o=applications/ou=MyOU/cn=Cambio de contrase?a doesn't exist.
And when trying through the sgdadmin an exception is thrown:

  • Problems with camera roll and deleting applications

    Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me. On my iPhone 3G (with Orange) I am having a couple of issues which I have not been able to resolve.
Firstly, I have no problem taking pictures and them then appearing on my camera roll, but whenever my phone is turned off, these pictures then disappear. This has happened before and after updating my phone with the latest version.
Also, I am unable to delete applications. I have tried pressing and holding an app icon, waiting for it to shake and the "x" to appear and nothing happens. If I then release the icon, it just opens the app. This happens both with the built-in apps and ones I have downloaded.
    Any ideas?

  • HFM: Delete Application

    Hi all,
    Product: HFM version 11.1.1.3.0
    Database: Oracle 10GR2
HFM is 64 bit application (Classic)
    Purpose of action:
To get more disk space by deleting some application on UAT environment?
    How I delete the application?
Delete the application from Shared Services
    Problem:
Delete the application doesn't re-claim the the space that I need
    Any suggestion?
Do I need to delete the database table for that particular application manually? and also delete any reference for that particular application within HFM_PROPERTIES and HSX_DATASOURCES?
If so, is it safe? is there any built in function from epm?
    Thanks a lot

Any time you remove data from a database, you have to tell the RDBMS to give back the space that was previously allocated. For SQL Server you need to "shrink" the database to reclaim disk space. There is a similar feature for Oracle.
A common area for tablespace consumption is the HFM_ErrorLog table, and the Task Audit and Data Audit tables. Look closely at those tables and ask yourself if you still really need everything contained in those tables. Perhaps they can be archived and truncated.

  • Deleting Application & Log Question

We had a consultant come and do training on location. I now have 3 training applications that I need to delete. They where created by three different people and when I log in as the admin to delete them, I am receiving the following message:
" An error occurred while processing this page. Check the log for details. "
    * Which log is it referring too? I cannot find a log in planning that has details to this.
    * Could I be having issues because the admin account is not the creator of this application?
    * One of the applications does not have an essbase cube, what do I do with it?
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
    Lace

    Hi,
The error logging in planning has never been the best, especially if you are using Tomcat.
If you run planning server in the foreground from the start menu and not as a server you get receive a lot more information (that is if you are on windows)
If you check the datasource details for the applications created you should be able to see the user account they were created with.
You also find out find out the sql repository tables which user is the application owner (HSP_USERS or HSP_OBJECT usually with id 50001)
Are you saying one of the planning applications does not have a cube or an essbase application, it is alright if it does not have any cubes a create might not have been run. If there is no essbase application you can always create one with the correct name so when you run the delete application it runs through without any problems.
    Hope this helps

  • Problem Loading Application to Card

I just purchased a Samsung S3CC9P9 smart card and I have problem loading applications onto the card.
    Here is the problem:
On first usage, after successful mutual authentication, the card allows me to load the first application I try loading but after this it refuses to load any other application and responding with the error message 0x6424. I purchased 5 cards and 2 of them are already in this state.

If I try the same process with my JCOP 31 card I purchased earlier everything works fine.

  • Deleting application results in ORA-03113 error

I'm having trouble deleting applications from my workspace. Every time I attempt to delete an application, I get an ORA-03113 error.
It doesn't seem to matter whether or not I choose to include the Application Definition or Supporting Objects when deleting.
If I cancel and keep trying to delete the application, the db crashes. When this happens the .trc file shows multiple memory errors and the alert log shows multiple core dumps.
    db version = *10.2.0.1*
    apex version = *3.2*
If anyone has experience with similar issues, any suggestions would appreciated. This problem has been a real pain.

    Keith,
There are quite a few hits on Metalink for this error. You may want to go there and see if you can find a patch (of which there seems to be several) or some other method of troubleshooting this problem.
Here is what Doc ID: 1020463.6 has to say in the introduction:
The ORA-3113 error is a general error reported by Oracle client tools,
which signifies that they cannot communicate with the oracle shadow
process. As it is such a general error more information must be collected
to help determine what has happened.
Than note's title is "Diagnosing ORA-3113 Errors".
    Good luck,
    Don.

  • Deleting application locks shared services account on Oracle Server

Whenever I need to delete an account from within Essbase, ( right click on application delete->application ) the final result is that the HSS account that shared services uses to connect to our oracle server gets locked.
Unlocking it and stop/starting everything resolves the problem, but I would like to stop this from happening.
All other aspects of logging into shared services, etc. admintration, provisioning, all work OK. Just the delete application.
    On Redhat Linux, Essbase 11.1.1.3

The bottom line is that we don't certify running Forms using the features of a terminal server to serve up any part of those Forms. That doesn't mean it does not work, but its not certified or supported.

    Yes,
in 6.1 it is possible to delete an application via console.
Just right click on the deployment and use the delete option to delete the app

  • Deleting applications on ios4 causing freezing?

    Hi all
I do not know if anyone has experienced this. However I have the iphone 3gs 16 gig white handset. I am running ios4. I have noticed that when I try and delete applications from the multitask doc at the bottom where the red delete indicator is showing. it wont let me delete all applications from the multitask section. It simply freezes my phone. I have to hold the on and off button and home button and let it go when I get the apple logo, to resolve this issue. I have also noticed that sometimes when i try and play a youtube video within safari, i cannot seem to exit the video or sometimes if i am viewing a website, it does not switch from veritcal to horizontal mode. I have done a restore and the problem is stil there at times. Mainly the multitasking problem not so much the safari problem. Can anyone recommend anything to me to help solve this problem?
    thanks in advance

I have an E73 and no issues with the light sensor...I think.  Concerning the supplied memory card, have you tried reformatting it?  I recently had a problem with one of my purchased 8 GB cards slowing down.  I use the cards for file storage only: pictures, music, podcasts, etc.  Saving or deleting files on the card took a very long time, and the application appeared to lock up for roughly 20 (?) seconds with no progress bar.  Examining the card with a program like Windows' chkdsk revealed several errors on that chkdsk ultimately couldn't fix.  So I backed up all the data, reformatted the card, copied the data back, and it's been working perfectly since.  Just like hard drives and other storage, memory cards can fail, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're beyond saving.
On the other hand, I'm sure you've seen threads here about faulty phones.  If the phone itself can fail, then the memory card can, too.  You never know.   Hope that helps.

  • Having network profiles is causing so many problems with applications

Perhaps someone could explain this to me, because i must be doing something wrong.
We have 10.4.6 client machines, and a 10.4.6 server. They login and their profiles are on the server and accessed via AFP, ok all is well there.
But ever since Tiger (Panther never had this problem) having network profiles causes so many problems with applications. Here are just some examples:
    1. MS Office 2004 programs will sometimes say all the system fonts are corrupted when they are not. The only way to fix this is to log the user out and delete the Microsoft preferences folder from their network profile from the server. Doing it from the client doesn't work unless you get them to logon in safe boot.
    2. Office 2004 will also randomly not save documents or autorecovery files, claiming that "too many files are open" or that the disk is full, when their profiles have 100s of megabytes left.
    3. Safari will randomly stop working. When you load up Safari it will load up websites all distorted, and then eventually give up and force quit. The only way to fix this is...again deleting the Safari preferences from the server whilst the client is logged off.
    4. Adobe Photoshop files will randomly corrupt, causing "End of file" errors when files are opened.
Now i've narrowed it down to the basic fact that the clients are using network profiles via AFP. I've experimented them logging onto the server and using local profiles and the programs all work perfectly. My setup is exactly the same as it was on Panther, and panther had none of these problems.
Surely i am not the only one who is experiencing this?

Do you have the "Inherit Permissions" option via POSIX access enabled for the home directory share point? If so, disable it, as home directories need standard POSIX permissions.
I've seen some problems with third-party applications - namely Adobe CS2 - when using network homes mounted via AFP. Others have reported problems with Office 2004. There are other oddities, even observable in the Finder, mostly due to changes that enabled metadata (Spotlight) for AFP. However, never have I seen Apple applications like Safari not work correctly with network homes; thus, there might be another problem here.
I'd check the filesystems for all volumes on the server using Disk Utility and repair any damage found.
You may want to consider using Portable Homes for better compatibility with Office 2004 (unfortunately).

  • NAL launches deleted application objects

Some weeks ago we implemented an ZfD-update from 3.2 to 4.0 on our servers

cases there were no problems with applications but on one workstation nal

update and produces an error message. This only happens with one user; when
he confirms the message he can work without further problems. I have
deleted his profile, searched the entire registry and file system for any
"residue" of this application, without success.

  • Problem deleting the C:\System Recovery Files folder

My computer, a HP-Pavillion desktop, model RK575AA-ABA a1740n running Windows Vista Home Premium, was getting more and more sluggish. One morning, when booting, I pressed F11 and clicked on "Backup and Recovery". The process took a while and resulted in a MINWINPC folder on my backup drive containing my C: drive in compressed form. The rest of the process was to take the computer back to its previous capabilities: formatting, installating the factory image of the system and installating my programs. Once this was completed, I decompressed the MINWINPC and it deposited all of the files from my previous C: drive into a "System Recovery Files" folder on my C: drive. From that folder, I copied and pasted the users data.
The C:\System Recovery Files folder is still on my C: drive, it has served its purpose and is not needed any longer. I tried to delete it. I took administrator priviledges and right-clicked the folder and selected the "Delete" command. Surprise! Access was denied and I cancelled the command. I tried a lot of tricks gathered by a search on the Web (take ownership from the virtual menu properties and Security panel, use TakeOwnership and Unlocker) to no avail though I had very little problem deleting users data and all the files resulting from the installation of applications. Deleting the AppData folder required more patience but there was no way to delete sub-folders of Program Files containing  Window programs (Internet Explorer, Microsoft Security Client, Windows Calendar, ...). An attempt to use Unlocker even resulted in a BSOD indicating a last ditch effort by Windows to save its integrity.
    What can I do?

Lisa, that's terrible advice. First of all, why would you delete the recovery partition? It's only accessed when you need to perform a recovery. Secondly, how does doing this solve the OP's question? Answer: It doesn't.

  • FYI : Problems deleting trash?

If anyone has had problems deleting their trash like I have and has done an exhaustive search, used terminal and whatever else to repair permissions, then try this if the file/folder you are deleting is from an external hard drive. I have a 500 GB external hard drive formated for Mac and a small partition for windows(*****). I had a folder that I was done with on the windows partition and chose to delete it, but it wouldn't delete. Tried everything, and noticed that when I ejected the windows volume the trash emptied. So I used disk utility and erased the volume from there and the trash emptied. What the... I tried repairing permissions on every volume of the system (which was the error that would come up when I attempted to empty the trash) but that didn't work (used the terminal code as well to no avail). Didn't know if there was a more accurate way to fix the problem and I moved everything else off of the windows volume so not a big deal this time. What happens if my main volume is affected though... Anyone have any insight.

Sorry, but that didn't help me at all. Tried all the techniques described in the document you suggested to me.
I thought the "sudo rm -ri ~/.Trash" would give me the solution...
Any clue ? The file and the directory that is in my trash is something that has to do with the mail application.
    Thanks for your answer

  • Delete applications on ipod touch

How can I delete applications from the ipod touch? Thanks

By the way if you remove the app through your iPod you will also have to delete it in iTunes by going to the Applications tab, selecting the app in question and pressing delete to completely delete it or else every-time you sync the app will be reinstalled.
If you have a problem with a specific app, I usually just uninstall it through my iPod then just sync it with iTunes. It will reinstall the app and that has always fixed any problems for me.
