Problems displaying regions in desired Template positions

Hi,
I am developing a page that requires a similar layout to: [http://www.amanda-nixon.com/APEX/APEX_page_layout.gif|http://www.amanda-nixon.com/APEX/APEX_page_layout.gif]
The theme/template that I am using has the following Region display points: [http://www.amanda-nixon.com/APEX/page_template_layout.gif|http://www.amanda-nixon.com/APEX/page_template_layout.gif]
I assumed that APEX has 9 columns to display in, but you also have the choice of Page Template Body (1), Page Template Body (2), and Page Template Body (3).
Therefore, its like having 3 separate tables on top of each other, each with 9 columns. Therefore my layout should be achievable setting the regions as the following:
Region 1:
Display Point: Page Template Body (1)
Column: 1
Region 2:
Display Point: Page Template Body (1)
Column: 2
Region 3:
Display Point: Page Template Body (1)
Column: 2
Region 4:
Display Point: Page Template Body (2)
Column: 1
Region 5:
Display Point: Page Template Body (2)
Column: 1
The problem is, regions 4 and 5 are displaying to the right of 2 and 3, sort of in a 3rd column, instead of displaying below.
What is weird is that the tewo regions display mostly off the page, and there is no scroller at the bottom of the browser to let me scroll to the right to see regiosn 4 & 5.
I'm not sure if this is a bug somewhere, or something I am doing wrong? (I have achieved a similar result in another application using the same version and template that worked fine).
I'm using Application Express Version 3.1.0.00.32.

In one of my presentations I say you should use FF for development but test your apps in IE ;)
I changed this part of the page template body:

Problem translating region template (fr = de)

The template has form of

As long as I don't translate the template, it renders OK.
However, if I translate the region to German
(seed,
export to XLIFF,
add a <!DOCTYPE xliff PUBLIC "-//XLIFF//DTD XLIFF//EN" "http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/xliff/documents/xliff.dtd"> line in the generated file, otherwise it does not load into the translator
take away < Previous entry from the file, otherwise it does not load into the translator,
open with the OLT XLIFF translator,
save the translated version,
take away the line added in the beginning, otherwise it hangs while uploading,
upload and publish),
the template part of the region disappears when I try to run the application in German (in French it's OK).
The template allows to show report two columns per row, along with meaningful labels, so I would like to use it.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong/what goes wrong?

Thinking that myabe it was bpt/ ept that was causing problems, I have simply copied source part of the template into the target part and replaced french words by german ones.
I have imported the manually edited file into APEX, and have seen some improvement in german version: labels/values appeared, but the formatting was wrong:

Then, I changed the User interface Template option of the region from "No template" to "Borderless region" variation (with no title), and it almost worked. Kind of:

Problem adding recordset to a Template page

I've been having problems adding sql recordset to a Template page, when i set the record the editable region of the template is no longer editable and it begins to be editable everything else, one more thing that happens with the record is that is partially inserted into the body of the php page, i have tried to reinstall wampserver, dreamweaver, delete the folder with the user settings and the registry of dreamweaver but nothing seems to work, the only thing that i haven't tried is delete the folder with the main settings, but i don't think that it is the problem

Your library is damaged and my not be able to be totally recovered, i.e. recover albums, slideshows, etc. along with the photos.
If the original files for your photos are inside the library package (even if iPhoto can't display them) the following should create a new library with all of your photos.
Start over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
2. Open the library package like this.
Click to view full size
3. Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
4. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.

This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects. Check it out carefully to see if all of your photos are represented in it.
Your current library will still be available for further fix attempts.

Problems trying to develop a template using Fluid Grid Design

Having serious problems trying to get a template to work using Fluid Grid Design with Dreamweaver CS6
I have develop my template with editable regions etc, however when I load it to make an html5 page and preview it on any browser it comes completely blank
If I do this on an HTML5 document without Fluid Grid it comes out fine.
I heard this issue is happening to other people as well
Need to resolve this issue as soon as possible

Before you create a template, you need to a) properly define a local site folder in DW. And b) test your prototype (Fluid Grid page) to ensure the code is valid and it works in all target browsers/devices.
When you're completely happy with your prototype page, SaveAs a DW Template and close it.
DW will create a Templates folder in your local site folder for you.
1. File > New > Page from Template > select your newly created template from the 3rd panel. Hit Create.
2. This is a child page spawned from a Template.dwt.
SaveAs index.html.
Preview in browsers. It should work just fine.
Repeat Steps 1-2 for remaining site pages.

How to display current postion and previous position in the same row?

I need to produce a promotions/transfer report that gives the employee's current position as well as his/her previous position in the same row.
for example:

Jane Smith Executive PA ZYX ltd Harmony personal assistant ABC ltd Yahoo
I am using the per_all_people_f, per_all_assignments_f, per_periods_of_service, hr.all_organization_units, per_all_positions tables
Somehow i cannot manage to display the previous position. I can only get so far to display the current postions

Problems updating files attached to template

Ok, I am having a problem and have now pulled out all my hair
out trying to figure this one out therefore here I am!
I am having trouble updating my website files (which are all
attached to a template). The "show log" window tells me that 7
files were examined but zero were updated. The thing is that this
trouble only started this afternoon. Everything was working fine
yesterday and this morning. What it is that I am missing here?
Help?

Here are five ways to make changes not propagate from
Template to child -
1. Rename the Templates folder
2. Move the Templates folder to some other folder level in
the site other
than root level
3. Move a template out of the Templates folder.
4. Make changes to an editable region of the template (which
will not
propagate)
5. Corrupt the site cache so that the link between template
and child page
is broken
The latter problem can be repaired by using SITE | Advanced

Cache, and the four others can be fixed by just not doing
them. Have you
done any of those?

We have been having issues with links on our email templates. Some of the links point to the following URL:

Sometimes we get “Unknown internal error” on the web page.

Hi Wesley,
This is rather late, but we've seen the same thing frequently (and I believe can replicate it). It's caused when you a creating a new email by copying the content of an existing one with a name space in it.
Upon copying, the link gets scrambled. The approach we use is to copy the email in to a new template, then strip out all of the URL links and add them back in.

Problem displaying CLOB in text file

I have a problem displaying the content from the database in notepad. When I click on a link on my jsf screen, I retrieve the data and display it in notepad.
I have my text content stored in the database with CLOB datatype. When I look in the database the data looks in the following format:

Now when I display this content onto the notepad, all the spaces and new line characters are lost, and the entire display looks awkward. This is how it looks:

All the new line characters are lost and it just puts some junk character in place of a new line.
When I copy the same text onto textpad, everything is alright and it displays exactly the way it is present in the database. I am also open to display the content in html, but in HTML it doesn't even display me the junk character in place of new line. It is just one single string without any line separators.
I am using the following code to put the content into the text.

The data is imported from a third party application to my database. It doesn't display any newline characters when I view the data.
But when I do a regular expression search on text pad, I could see that my clob contains \n as the new line character. Is there a way to replace \n with \n\r while writing the data.

A Problem with Region Format Settings

Hi!
I have a peculiar problem with Region Format settings on my iPod touch (Settings > General > International > Region Format). It appears that iPod touch can support more region formats than it is stated on that list. Once I registered my iPod, I selected my location, Lithuania, and it automatically set (I think because of this action, and not another, like my PC settings) Region Format to Lithuanian. Although it is nonexistent on the menu list! Good news!
However, the problem is that while I explored my iPod I accidentally checked another region, and there is no "cancel" option. So my region switched to another. And now I am not able to switch it back to Lithuanian again because there is no such selection (reset or restore didn't help).
Has anybody any suggestions how could I return to my preferred region format (Lithuanian)? Thanks!

thats interesting. I think the ipod took those settings from your computer/mac.
anyway, shouldn't there be something near you that has the same region format settings? maybe you can just use something that's exactly the same.
and btw: some of the regions have arrows next to them which brings you to subregions of that region. maybe you should check that out?
otherwise ... well ... I think only a restore would bring back the original settings.

Problem displaying 'Total' text in ALV grid

My ALV works and displays correct output. However, I am struggling to display the text 'Total' on position in the last row of the grid. The total is for the salary. My code is below..

When I have an Editable Region in a template and want to
remove it, and from all child-pages, what to do[mx 2004] ? The
below code if is in logout.php how is get included in a file ?
