Ok, first off I am having a problem on my startup drive on occasional restart I am getting the blicking system folder. Do another restart and it is fine. My system runs good with no errors while running, just on restarts. I have done all of the common things to do in this situation which all work ok except for the Disk Verifying. I am getting the following error with that.
First Aid Failed:
Incorrect Size for fileactivity_006.png (It should be 4096 instead of 17406)
Illegal Name
Invalid catalog record type
The volume HD needs to be repaired
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS Volume Checked
Volume needs repair
Well, repair does not work, get the same error and also getting an error try to do an archieve and install. I am trying to revert because since going to 10.4.8 I am having my other issue where Illustrator CS2 is not starting up. There were posts on here about issues going to 10.4.8 and Illustrator, but these were with the new MacBook Pro's and their Illustrator actually starts up and there is a work around. I have not found anything about this issue and Adobe is not ackowledgin this problem. When I start Illustrator up I get a box that flashes cannot see what it says then the splash screen comes up and a box appears above it that says. Could not complete the operation requested. Then is brings up the bug report. I have tried many things to combat this one to no avail. Have trashed prefs, turned off all non-sys fonts, checked color profiles, removed legal html docs as Adobe suggested, and tried to reinstall, nothing works. For sure somthig with 10.4.8. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I amazes me that Apple would let this happen to a program that has supported them for so long. Just typical I guess

You have an unrepairable disk error. This means that certain files, some of which either OS X or Illustrator need to work properly, have been damaged. This is the root of all your problems.
You could purchase Disk Warrior and attempt to repair your file system that way, but whatever files are currently damaged will remain damaged. The only thing you can do to completely resolve your problems is to format (erase) your startup disk, then reinstall OS X and all of your applications.
Obviously, doing this will require that you make a good backup of all of your data first. I recommend you use an external drive and make said backup immediately, then boot to your OS X install disk and format away. I also recommend that you select your entire drive in Disk Utility (not the indented "volume") and use the "Zero All Data" option. This will map out any bad blocks that exist on your drive, thereby reducing the likelihood of further disk errors in the immediate future.

    This is a scam. Do not phone these people, at best they will charge you for unnecessary 'cleaning' and at worst they will gain access to your Mac and steal your data.     Taken at face value, you're having trouble with a Windows operating system file there.

    First thing to try is the latest version of Lightroom (currently 5.6). If it don't crash, then problem solved - upgrade.
    If Lr5 won't run on your machine, then Lr4 instead.
    If both Lr5 and Lr4 crash on your machine, then at least you know it's a not a Lightroom version problem but something wonked in your system.
    If you can't figure out how to resolve the crash on the system you have, then it's time for a new system (or try another converter/editor app).
    PS - A few things to try:
    * After re-installing new version, if that doesn't fix it, then get rid of all Lightroom-related data files (rename them so they can be restored), in case problem is in Lr data file.
    * Remove all non-essential hardware in case problem is hardware/driver.
    * Startup up machine with minimal software services.
    * If still no go, consider updating driver software, including mainboard drivers and/or bios firmware if need be.
    * Of course run all the system hardware and software diagnostics you can - problem could be failing disk or ram..
    * Check system event logs for any clues.
    If you don't know how to do some of these things - ask.
    Do not say "you've tried everything" unless you want a lecture - there is most definitely something you haven't tried. It's like when you can't find your car keys - you haven't looked everywhere -  there is somewhere you haven't looked!
    PS - Has Lightroom EVER worked on your machine? what's changed since then..

    But I am assuming that when I make the installer, the 32-bit Run Time Engine is appened with the installer, as show below

    The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
    I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
    Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.
    Still getting the same error.

    Does this happen with any particular file or all files?
    Since the crash report above mentions accessibility.api, so are you working on any related function like adding tags etc. when Acrobat crashes?
    Disable all the 3rd party services working in the background and check.

    Even if you don't have any third-party plug-ins or add-ons, try opening iTunes in safe mode as per the instructions in the following document:
    iTunes: Troubleshooting issues with third-party iTunes plug-ins
    If iTunes opens in safe mode, quit iTunes and then try launching it again normally. Does it launch without the error messages this time?
