Problems Using DB Object

I have created an Oracle DB object, I can use the object, open and close it but the I try and use ora_parse or ora_exec I get the following error message.
Warning: Connection already closed for cursor index 111742996
It's odd because I don't get an error when I close the object.
Heres the code I'm calling and the object.
<?php
require_once('includes/oraDBObject.php');
if ($oDb = new OraDBObject('scott','tiger','oracle'))
{     echo "Object created <br />";} else {     echo "Object creation failed <br />";}
#echo $oDb->sConnStr;
if ($oDb->Open()){     echo "Opened <br />"; } else { echo "Failed during Open operation <br />"; }
echo $oDb->sConnStr;
if ($oDb->Query('select * from emp')) {echo "Query OK";} else {echo "Query Fail";}
if ($oDb->Close()){     echo "Closed <br />";} else {     echo "Failed during Close operation <br />";}
?>
<?php
class OraDBObject {
          var $sUser = '';
          var $sPassword = '';
          var $sTNS = '';
          var $sConnStr = '';
     var $oConn = '';
function OraDBObject($sUser, $sPassword, $sTNS)
$this->sTNS = $sTNS;
$this->sUser = $sUser;
$this->sPassword = $sPassword;
$this->sConnStr = "$sUser@$sTNS";
function Open($bErrorCheck = true)
     $oLogon = ora_logon($this->sConnStr, $this->sPassword);
     $this->oConn = ora_open($oLogon) or die('Could not connect.'.ora_error());
     return $this->oConn;
function Close()
return(ora_close($this->oConn));
function Query($oQuery, $bErrorCheck = true)
     ora_parse ($this->oConn, $oQuery, 0);
               if(!ora_exec($this->oConn))
$QueryOk = false;
} else {
     $QueryOk = true;
          return $QueryOk;
?>

Hello,
Here is what I just did:
1. I downloaded the zip file includes the JDK 1.5.0_06, unzipped it into c:\sqldeveloper folder. And modified c:\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.conf, it looks like:
SetJavaHome C:\sqldeveloper\jdk
IncludeConfFile ../../ide/bin/ide.conf
AddVMOption -Dapple.laf.useScreenMenuBar=true
AddVMOption -Dcom.apple.mrj.application.apple.menu.about.name="SQL_Developer"
AddVMOption -Dcom.apple.mrj.application.growbox.intrudes=false
AddVMOption -Dcom.apple.macos.smallTabs=true
AddVMOption -Doracle.ide.util.AddinPolicyUtils.OVERRIDE_FLAG=true
AddVMOption -Dsun.java2d.ddoffscreen=false
AddVMOption -Dwindows.shell.font.languages=
AddVMOption -XX:MaxPermSize=128M
IncludeConfFile sqldeveloper-nondebug.conf
2. Here is what I got in Help > About > versions Box:
CVS Version     Internal to Oracle SQL Developer (client-only)
Java(TM) Platform     1.5.0_06
Oracle IDE     1.5.4.59.40
Versioning Support     1.5.4.59.40
Could you please let me know if there is anything wrong here? I still cannot see my objects in the tree structure.
Thank you so much for your help!!!

    Hi,
    You cannot instantiate an application module using the new operator. You have to use the Configuration class. I quote this from the JDeveloper help.
    <quote>
    Use the method oracle.jbo.client.Configuration.createRootApplicationModule().
    Pass this method the package-qualified name of your application module and the name of the configuration you want to use. For example, to instantiate OnlineOrders.OnlineOrdersModule in local mode, you would use: ApplicationModule myAM = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule("OnlineOrders.OnlineOrdersModule", "OnlineOrdersModuleLocal");
    </quote>
    Hope that helps.

  • Problems using creating Objects after Updating to 3.0.1

    Hi folks,
    the update from 2.0.1 or so to 3.0.1 in the 10g XE had brought up more new aspects and changes than expected...
    The - hopefully- last problem I encounter now is that I cannot create objects anymore in the SQL Workshop.
    If I try to create a new table in the end the error message reads
    ORA-01031: Insufficent privileges
    The same for a test sequence... I didn't change anything to my existent schema users, they are assigend the "ressource" role, so it should work fine. If I connect to the DB via an development tool like sqlplus the table is created - as expected.
    In the apex user administration I found no section for setting additional privileges...
    Can anyone help me to establish the privileges to my old users/schemes so that the SQL Workshop is working again? Even with a new administrator account in a new workspace on an old schema the workshop can't create a table.
    Thanks alot.
    Ragnus

    thanks, I solved by myself.
    Here comes what it had been:
    After upgrading all apps had been in workspaces named to the corresponding old schema user.
    I wanted to consolidate the apps into one big workspace so they can share some components like authorization schema and so on.
    I additionally assigned the schemes to the new workspace so there had been 2 workspace assignements for each schema. This had been a temporary consolidation situation until all apps had been exported from the old workspaces into the new one.
    But development during this double assigned state seems to be not possible in the SQL Workshop.
    After deleting an old workspace I can now create objects again in the now single workspace assigned schema.

  • Problem using Oracle Object Types and Arrays.

    I'm currently trying to work with oracle object types in java and I'm running into some issues when trying to add an item to an array.
    The basic idea is that I have a header object and a detail object (both only containing an ID and a description). Inside of my java code I'm trying to add a new detail line to the header that has been retrieved from the database.
    Here's what I'm working with.
    --Oracle Objects:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE dtl_obj AS OBJECT
        detail_id INTEGER,
        header_id INTEGER,
        detail_desc VARCHAR2(300)
    CREATE TYPE dtl_tab AS TABLE OF dtl_obj;
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE hdr_obj AS OBJECT
        header_id INTEGER,
        src VARCHAR(30),
        details dtl_tab
    CREATE TYPE hdr_tab AS TABLE OF hdr_obj;

              t.connect(); //Connects to the database
              //The oracle connection will be accessible through t.conn
              // Create the oracle call
              String query = "{? = call get_header(?)}";
              OracleCallableStatement cs = (OracleCallableStatement) t.conn.prepareCall(query);
              cs.registerOutParameter(1, OracleTypes.ARRAY, "HDR_TAB"); //Register the out parameter and associate it with our oracle type
              int[] hdrs = { 240 }; //we just want one for testing.
              ArrayDescriptor descriptor = ArrayDescriptor.createDescriptor(
                        "ARRAY_T", t.conn);
              oracle.sql.ARRAY oHdrs = new ARRAY(descriptor, t.conn, hdrs);

    Oracle® Database Object-Relational Developer's Guide
    Also note that object relational database design is often less performant and scalable than relational. It is not very often used in production environments.
    However, the object orientated programming feature that is provided with Oracle object feature set are used and can make development and interfaces a lot easier.
    So in a nutshell. Say no to ref and nested table columns. Say yes to most of the other object features. IMO of course...

  • Performance problem using OBJECT tag

    I have a performance problem using the java plugin and was wondering if anyone else was has seen the same thing. I have a rather complex applet that interacts with java script in a web page using the LiveConnect API. The applet both calls javascript in the page and is called by java script.
    Im using IE6 with the java plugin that ships with the 1.4.2_06 JVM. I have noticed that if I deploy the applet using the OBJECT tags, the application seems the trash everytime I call a java method on the applet from javascript. When I deplot the same applet using the APPLET tag the perfomance is much better. I would like to use the OBJECT tag because it applet bahaves better and I have more control over the caching.
    This problem seems to be on the boundaries of IE6, JScript, the JVM and my Applet (and I suppose any could be the real culprit). My application is IE5+ specific so I can not test the applet in isolation from the surround HTML/JavaScript (for example in another browser).
    Does anyone have any idea?
    thanks in advance.

  • MICR printing problem using the Crystal ReportDocument object in C# app

    We developed a small C# windows program 6 months ago that reads a bank draft record and uses a Crystal Report form to print the draft (using ReportDocument() object and the PrintToPrinter() method).  This has been working fine for 6 months. (using .Net 2.0 Framework and Crystal Reports .Net plugin included with VS 2005 on client machine - CRRedist2005_X64.msi)
    Now the requirements have changed to put a MICR line at the bottom ot the draft check and print.  We have updated a similar Crystal draft report form and printed from Crystal Viewer - this works fine.  But when we update the Crystal report form used in the C# application, with the same MICR commands, using the same MICR printer, and the same user trying the print, it does not work.  The MICR commands are printed on the draft just like regular text, instead of being interpreted by the printer as MICR commands.  Must be something within the Crystal Reports .Net redistributable that is causing it to work incorrectly because it works correctly from the same users PC using Report Viewer.
    Note:  The MICR field on the Crystal Report contains the following chars:
           &%STHPASSWORD$&%SMD' MICR '$&%STQ$
    When we print, the above chars just print out like text
    Can anybody help with any suggestions ?
    Are they any hotfixes that address this issue of PCL commands not recognized on printer?

    The app that is working is a C++ vendor app, however the Crystal piece is seperate piece that uses the Crystal Report Viewer to pull up the draft report. The print button is then hit within Crystal Report Viewer and the draft prints correctly.
    - so the above app is using the Report Designer Component (craxdrt.dll) and as such it is not using the .NET assemblies...
    For the app that is not working, we are not using Crystal Report Viewer, but are using the ReportDocument object, from the Crystal .Net Redistributable (referenced above), embeded into our C# app. The app executes a PrintToPrint command against the identical Crystal report, however, running it this way, the MICR command that is embeded into the report is not recognized by the MICR printer. The output seems to jumble the MICR command that I posted earlier in the thread and does not keep the command in a readable format for the MICR printer.
    - the above is not using the Report Designer Component (craxdrt.dll). It is using the .NET assemblies and thus the .NET framework.
    Have you been able to get .NET to recognize / see the fonts in that label I mentioned on  6/27/08?

  • How to use Logger object in Lookout 5.0

    I am now trying to log data using Logger object. I use Switch1 for activating LogContinuously mode and Switch2  for breaking logging process. If I turn off Switch1, the logging process stops, its ok. My problem is if Switch1 is still on and I turn off Switch2, the logging process is still running. I seems different from what I have read from Help file. Anyone has the solution for it?Please give me an advice! Thanks a lot. Its better if someone post an example about using Logger object here for reference.
    Regards,

    I think the behaviour you described is correct. If you turn on switch2, the logging process will stop, even when switch1 is on. If you turn off switch2, the process will be running.
    Here is an example of logger object.
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/3816
    you can change the "log break" button into a switch, which can better show you how it works.

  • I can't seem to get individual elements when comparing 2 arrays using Compare-Object

    My backup software keeps track of servers with issues using a 30 day rolling log, which it emails to me once a week in CSV format. What I want to do is create a master list of servers, then compare that master list against the new weekly lists to identify
    servers that are not in the master list, and vice versa. That way I know what servers are new problem and which ones are pre-existing and which ones dropped off the master list. At the bottom is the entire code for the project. I know it's a bit much
    but I want to provide all the information, hopefully making it easier for you to help me :)
    Right now the part I am working on is in the Compare-NewAgainstMaster function, beginning on line 93. After putting one more (fake) server in the master file, the output I get looks like this
    Total entries (arrMasterServers): 245
    Total entries (arrNewServers): 244
    Comparing new against master
    There are 1 differences.
    InputObject SideIndicator
    @{Agent= Virtual Server in vCenterServer; Backupse... <=
    What I am trying to get is just the name of the server, which should be $arrDifferent[0] or possibly $arrDifferent.Client. Once I have the name(s) of the servers that are different, then I can do stuff with that. So either I am not accessing the array
    right, building the array right, or using Compare-Object correctly.
    Thank you!

    Compare-NewAgainstMaster

    do not do this:
    $arrDifferent = @(Compare-Object $arrMasterServers $arrNewServers)
    Try this:
    $arrDifferent = Compare-Object $arrMasterServers $arrNewServers -PassThru
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    This is what made the difference. I guess you don't have to declare arrDifferent as an array, it is automatically created as an array when Compare-Object runs and fills it with the results of the compare operation. I'll look at that "pass thru" option
    in a little more detail. Thank you very much!
    Yes - this is the way PowerShell works.  You do not need to write so much code once you understand what PS can and is doing.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Using Date objects in SQL statements

    Hi, I am wondering if it is possible to use Date objects while trying to retrieve entries from an access database with fields set as "Date/Time" fields, as opposed to "Text"? If so, do I need to reformat it before inserting it into the SQL statement, or can I just leave it as a Date object, and call up the variable name?
    For example - "SELECT * FROM database WHERE startDate = ' " + dateObject + ' ". And do i need quotes round this value?
    Thanks in advance.

    I had some problems by just fetching a date and pushing it back to a MS SQL Database.
    I used the following reformating step to fix it:
    if (o instanceof Timestamp)
    String time = o.toString().substring(8,10)+"."+o.toString().substring(5,7)+"."+o.toString().substring(0,4)+" "+o.toString().substring(11,19);
    ht.put(columnName, time);
    o is the object i receve from the select statement and ht is a Hashtable where i put my data.
    To write the data back i now can use:
    UPDATE table SET columnname = 'valueOfColumn'
    This means i use the value i created above in Quotes to write it back.
    Format of Timestamp.toString() is something like yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.xx
    Format used by MS SQL (and i think by Access to) 'dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm:ss'

  • Problem using Binary wrappers in a Replicated cache

    I'd like to store my keys and values as Binary objects in a replicated cache so I can monitor their size using a BINARY unit-calculator. However, when I attempt to put a key and value as com.tangosol.util.Binary, I get the enclosed IOException.
    I have a very simple sample to reproduce the exception, but I don't see a way to attach it here.

    Hi John,
    Currently the Replicated cache service uses Binary only for internal value representation and does not allow storing arbitrary Binary objects in replicated caches. You should have no problems using partitioned (Distributed) cache service with this approach.

  • How to use Generic Object Services(GOS) for each table control record.

    Dear Expert,
                       I am using generic object services for document attachment but i am facing a problem while attaching document to a table control row. my requirement is to attach separate document for each and every row of table control but  i am unable to attach document row wise of the table control.for each row GOS should display corresponding attached document not all the attached document.
    Thanks in Advanced

    You haven't explained what object and object key you're using, nor have you provided any indication of how you implemented the GOS attachment functionality.  You need to provide more information to resolve an issue like this.

  • Problems using java.xml.xpath - How to get values from DTMNodeList?

    Sorry for the waffle in the subject title, but I was unsure what to call it. I hope this thread is in the correct forum.
    I'm having problems using xpath to parse some data from an XML file. I am able to create an expression which obtains the elements I wish to retreive, but I'm unsure on how to go about getting their values. So far I have..
    public int getTerms(int PMID)
              String uri = "http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/eutils/efetch.fcgi?db=pubmed&id="
                           + PMID + "&retmode=xml";
              // Create an XPath object with the XPathFactory class
              XPathFactory factory = XPathFactory.newInstance();
              XPath xPath = factory.newXPath();
              // Define an InputSource for the XML article
              InputSource inputSource = new InputSource(uri);
              // Create the expression
              String expression = "/PubmedArticleSet/PubmedArticle/MedlineCitation/MeshHeadingList/MeshHeading/DescriptorName";
              // Use this expression to obtain a NodeSet of all the MeSH Headings for the article
              try
                   DTMNodeList nodes = (DTMNodeList) xPath.evaluate(expression,
                         inputSource, XPathConstants.NODESET);
                   int length = nodes.getLength();
                   String[] terms = new String[length];
                   // Test mesh terms are being stored.
                    *for (int i=0; i<length; i++)*
    *                    System.out.println(i + ": " + nodes.item(i).getNodeValue());*
                                                    return nodes.getLength();
              catch (XPathExpressionException e2)
              { System.out.println("Article with PMID " + PMID + " has no associated MeSH terms");}
              // return a default
              return 0;
         } The part in bold is the problematic code. I wish to retreive the values of each of the nodes I have taken into my DTMNodeList using a for loop to iterate through each node, and use the getNodeValue() method from the Node class which should return a string. However, the values I retreive are NULL. In the test document I use, the elements do have values.
    Here is a snippet of the XML file I am reading in:

    Answered my own question....
    The element value is actually the child of the node I am current at, so instead of doing:
    i + ": " + nodes.item(i).getNodeValue()); I should have really done:
    i + ": " + nodes.item(i).getChildNode().getNodeValue());

  • [Urgent] using javafx object in java project

    Suppose I here created a very simple java project and the main file is like below,
    public class test {
        public static void main(String[] args){
                System.out.println("Hello World!");
    }and in this particular java project, I need to use another javafx object which is defined as (the javafx and java file are in the same package),
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.shape.Rectangle;
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;
    import javafx.scene.shape.Circle;
    var stage: Stage = Stage {
        title: "Declaring Is Easy!"
        scene: Scene {
            width: 300
            height: 250
            content: [
                Circle {
                    centerX: 150  centerY: 120 radius: 80
                    fill: Color.MAROON
                    stroke: Color.INDIANRED
                    strokeWidth: 10.0
                }, //Circle
                Rectangle {
                    x: 25, y: 80 width: 250, height: 80
                    arcWidth: 20 arcHeight: 20
                    fill: Color.web("#6699ff")
                    stroke: Color.web("#003399")
              strokeWidth: 5.0
                } //Rectangle
            ] //Content
        } //Scene
    } //StageSo how could I achieve this?
    Regards.

    Thanks for your reply.
    But would you please elaborate on this sentence: create the fx class using Class.forName("....").newInstance()?
    Indeed I implemented an interface which was extended by the javafx class, and in the main java file I need to write following codes to use this object,
    Context context = FXLocal.getContext();
            FXClassType instance = context.findClass("packageName.JavaFXClass");
            ObjectValue obj = (ObjectValue)instance.newInstance();
            JavaInterface ji = (JavaInterface)obj.asObject();The problem that I encountered right now is, the exception was thrown at context.findClass("javatest.MyChart");, since it's not able for the compiler to find the JavaFXClass.class.
    I checked the folder build\classes\packageName and noticed that both my main JavaClass and JavaInterface have been compiled with .class file, while the JavaFXClass was not, which means the file JavaFXClass.class doesn't exist.
    What's the solution?
