Problems wit the bpel engine

Hi!
I have two problems concerning the bpel engine
1. After I'va successfully installed esb, I can see the bpel engine in the components section in the esb administrator console, but it is not installed.
When I try to install it manually, I get the following error:
Main Message:(FAILURE) The Component com.sun.bpelse-1.0-2 could not be installed. Instance Messages: Instance : domain1@stgn0023 Message:(FAILURE) Installation of Engine com.sun.bpelse-1.0-2 failed. The bootstrap init() method threw a java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError exception. The exception message is: com/sun/jbi/configuration/ConfigPersistence (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0) The bootstrap cleanUp() method threw a javax.jbi.JBIException exception. The exception message is: caught exception while creating Installatoin Configuration MBean, failed to init bpelse component
What's wrong here? What do I have to do?
2. This concerns the examples for the bpel engine: How do I build the service assembly as suggested in the description for running the sample?

What version of the JVM are you using? You need JDK 1.5 to run the BPEL engine; it sounds like you are using JDK/JRE 1.4

Solution Manager systems RAM requirements - problems with the Java Engine

Hello,
I am about to install SAP Solution Manager 7 on a WIndows 2003 Server x64 but I need to know what the RAM requirements are? I have been having problems with the Java Engine starting and it seems to time out, I have heard that this is a very RAM hungry process and it might be why?

Go to Applications
Go to Utilities folder
Launch Activity Monitor app
go to its Memory tab on top
tell us what you see at the very bottom?

I bet your page/swap amount will be huge.
If there is not enough RAM, OS X temporarily stores RAM data on the harddrive and tries to retrieve it back into RAM when needed, unfortunately that is so slow that GB throws an error as it cannot play it all in real time.

Problem with the BPEL configuration in IPM

I am using ECM 11.1.1.3.
i have created an application in IPM for invoices and done BPEL configuration.
Here IPM input agent pick the text file exported by the OFR.( contains xml(supporting content) and tiff file).
some of the BPEL fiels are mapped with the IPM application and some of the fields are mapped with supporting
content(i.e line items)
but here when we test it only one line item will be taken in Bpel payload even if there are 4 line items supporting content.
can anybody plz help?.....

I fear that is a bug in the report which is currently being investigated. For now, can you simply create the logical ports and RFC destination manually.
For this follow the steps outlined in the deployment guide
-> 3.2.4 Retrieve URL for Logical Port
-> 3.2.5 Create a Logical Port
in Chapter 3.2.5. execute these steps on the SCL and not (like mentioned in the documentation) on the SAP system. After doing that the missing steps of report /IWCNT/DEMO_REP_LP_CONFIG should be executed.
(you might also have to create an HTTP RFC destination that points to the SCL itself)
I will let you know as soon as we have a fix for /IWCNT/DEMO_REP_LP_CONFIG itself.

I have problem with the BPEL server caching the jar file of Instance

Is there any way to undeploy and redeploy a process where you have changes to the underlying DA, without the BEPL server being restarted. This always works in my Local BPEL server in my Laptop. But when deploying in the hosted BPEL enviroment it becomes a big problem in getting it restarted when ever I MAKE changes.
Is there any other way to disable the Cache of the instance and make it use the newer version uploaded. One more thing if the connection to a database is severed, then the DA will not work until the server is restarted. All the instances using the said connection is failing with either "Invalid Datatype" or "Socket Read exception". Can someone help!!

Problems wit the portal in ias release 2

My NEW ias release2 installation seems to be working fine but I can't make my portal work. I can log into Login Server, but when I click on my portal link I get a WWC-00000 error. My httpd.conf file has my machine name in lower case, so there shouldn't be any problem there.
The strange thing is:
SQL> select count(*) from WWSEC_ENABLER_CONFIG_INFO$;
COUNT(*)
0
Can this have anything to do with it? How can I solve this???????

I am assuming that you have installed 9iAS v2 (from information give by you). To solve this problem, you need to
run opca ( you can find it in $ORACLE_HOME/portal/plsql/admin directory). Run the opca in SSOPARTNERCONFIG
mode. You might need to run it in MIDTIER mode also if the problem doesn't go away.
To see the examples to run opca in different modes, execute opca without any parameters.

Learning the internals of BPEL engine

I want to understand how the bpel engine handles a request. More specifically, from the time it gets a request to the time it instantiate the correct bpel process, what are the steps involved. Where can I find some documentation on this. I looked at the BPEL dev guide (10.1.3.1) and admin guide...but this info does not seems to be there...any pointers

I have read a lot trying to found a way to integrate non Weblogic applications to the BPEL engine I have read that There is a fuego.papi but I guess this is just for aqualogic Process engine and besides I have not found it!!! I have read we can enable PAPI webservices entering through the BPEL engine console at localhost:8686 but I donpt have that console active I use localhost:7001 and i had the control over all servers there however I don´t have that screens that one find at internet for activating PAPI webservices... If somebody knows a solution for my problem I would appreciate guys!!!

Delay of Message in the Adapter Engine when put into queue

Hi XI/PI Experts,
We are having problems in the Adapter Engine wherein messages are staying longer in the AE queue as usual. Sometimes, it stays longer in Delivering status also. Is there any way we can monitor and try to push the message out of AE to avoid delays? I know we can do this in the ABAP side (Integration Engine)...but how can we do this in the Adapter Engine?
See below sample logs in AE RWB:
2008-07-17 13:28:13 Success Using connection SOAP*****. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
2008-07-17 13:28:13 Success Message successfully put into the queue.
2008-07-17 13:34:12 Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
2008-07-17 13:34:12 Success The message status set to DLNG.
As you can see there is a gap of 4 minutes.

Thanks for your answers but the messages are not set into EOIO but just EO. So the messages are not ending up in Holding Status.
I also believe that issue is not occurring because of too many messages in error in AE nor because of the receiving system is down. Issue is happening when message is about to be sent to the SOAP communication channel in AE. As you can see in the sample log I provided above, in RWB AE, after the message was put into queue, it took several minutes to be delivered to corresponding comm channel. My questions are:
1. Is there a way we can monitor the queue in AE like the way we monitor the queue in IE? (e.g. smq1 and smq2 transactions) .
2. If there is a way, how are we going to intervene manually on the queues in AE? (we can intervene with smq1 and smq2 in IE)
3. For messages with Delivering Status in AE, sometimes it is taking hours to move to "Successful/Delivered" Status. Is there a way we can intervene with that? I believe we can resend messages with "System Error" Status and Staus "To be Delivered" but for status "Delivering"...it is not possible (from what I know -- I hope there is a way).

Cannot start the j2ee engine

hello.
we are facing a problem with the J2EE engine of WAS.
we stopped the server for some reasons and when trying to restart it, the server shows an error after loading the service manager ,in the server and the server is not getting connected.i am pasting the errors below:
"Loading: ServiceManager ...
ID000539: Classload error; Can't load service telnet because referenced service shell not found"
and
"ID000544: Error starting service security. JCO.classInitialize(): Could not load
middleware layer 'com.sap.mw.jco.rfc.MiddlewareRFC'
default_cpc_mode"
Also in the management console of the j2ee engine we are unable to find the database instance in the tree. we checked the view and nothing is hidden.

AFAIK this error occurs when server/services/shell directory is missing. I think you have moved it somewhere or renamed it.

For what does the BPEL engine need a domain ?
Where (in which file) is specified to which domain the BPEL Manager
connects to?
Is it a difference if the domains are defined in table
orabpel.domain
or just
domain
? With which user/password/service does to BPEL Manager connect to
Oracle DB to search for its domain?
Background: My domain "default" exists in table but BEPL Manager could not connect here

We currently have 3 domains for BPEL. We use them because they a) serve different purposes, b) we tweak the domain level threads.
I believe bpel manager will, by default, connect to the which ever domain starts with the letter closest to A.
I also think the user account is orabpel, which connects to the bpel schema.

Since the Enterprise Manager GUI can be horribly slow i'm trying to figure out what direct URLs to use on login.
I have URLs for the different soa infra pages, such as instances, faults and rejected messages etc, but i cannot figure out the URLs to "BPEL Engine" tabs.
I can get to the BPEL Engine dashboard directly on login with

Any idea to get a similar link that gets me direct to the Recovery tab?

Click the properties attribute , then goes to a tableview, you will see all properties you set in design time. you will be able to change as well.
