Problems with Binding and DNS records
I haver an issue where a DNS A record is only created when binding machines to the top of the forest. If I bind a machine to any other domain within the forest an (A) record is not created. IN other words xyz.com works but if I put the machine in region.xyz.com an (A) record is never created. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The data is filled when the list source or target iterator is executed during bindingContainer.refreshControl() call.
The method that performs list population is 'JUCtrlListBinding.setupListItems'.

Hello,
in our company we use Internet Explorer 8... (i know...) We also have a proxy and 4 DNS servers. Last weekend we suddenly had an issue where internet pages could not be loaded. When we did some testing with Wireshark we saw that it took a long time to query
www.google.com or www.microsoft.com. The query went from the first DNS server to the second and so on. This behaviour was shown on Windows 2008 R2 servers with Citrix and also the workstations and laptops with Windows 7.
When we deleted the DNS servers from the network settings and set the proxy ip-adres in the browser the problem was solved. So the problem had to be in DNS.
After that we deleted the list of Root Hints and the problem seemed to be solved. However, when we look in wireshark we still see that external addresses are queried againts our local DNS servers. In internet explorer we have a policy active where the proxy
is set. We have two proxies and the problem exists with both of them.
So the question is, why does IE8 still query all four DNS servers even when we have a proxy? Why is there a lot of delay there?

Generally, if you configure IE with an explicit proxy:
1.User types an address
2.The address is checked for string matches against the IE proxy exceptions list
a. If matching a bypassed entry, DNS is used to resolve the name, and the client connects directly to the target IP address on port 80 (assumed), then sends a request like:
GET /something.htm HTTP/1.1
Host: fulldomainame.example.com
b. If non matching, continue
3.The client connects to its configured proxy and sends a request of the form:
GET http://fulldomainname.example.com/something.htm HTTP/1.1
(this use of the FQDN in the URL is one way you can tell that a client thinks it's talking to a proxy instead of a real web server)
4.The proxy resolves the name, connects to the target site, etc, etc

So I'm changing my iptables default policy from ALLOW to DROP, and are tightening up the rules too.
However, I'm having troubles with allowing DNS-queries, while keeping things as locked down as possible.

192.168.1.1 is my router, and when I'm disabling the firewall, everything is working perfectly. This is with 192.168.1.1 as nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf.
I tried changing my rules to your rules, but I still can't get it to work.
The following is the output while I'm connecting to www.xkcd.com using elinks:

It seems to me that DNS is working properly, and that iptables is blocking port 80, right?

Problem with sqlldr and commit
Hi,
i have a problem with sqlldr and commit.
I have a simple table with one colum [ col_id number(6) not null ]. The column "col_id" is primary key in the table. I have one file with 100.000 records ( number from 0 to 99.999 ).
I want load the file in the table with sqlldr ( sql*loader ) but i want commit only if all records are loaded. If one record is discarded i want discarded all record of file.
The proble is that in coventional path the commit is on 64 row but if i want the same records of file isn't possible and in direct path sqlldr disable primary key :(
There are a solutions?

Problem with ADS and LDAP
I have installed Win2000 + sp1 and ADS on a computer. This computer is PDC.
After connection via LDAP I cann't get any object ( users or goups etc. ).
I try connect to ADS by java ( JNDI ).
When I use another clients of LDAP ( eg. Maxware Directory Explorer) I have
the same problem - no objects.
Can anybody help me?

I am having a strange problem with Tomcat and axis. I have a webservice that uses axis2 for wsdl2java class generation. When I compile my project in maven a Test is performed. During the test a glassfish server is established and the project is deployed -everything work great with the expected results. However when I try to deploy the webservice on tomcat it has some problems.
At first I tried to call axis code in a POST method that takes a MultiPart message. The code is as below:

It was strange to me since this simple approach of handling a Multipart method worked for me earlier. Then I decided skip the handling of multipart method and just call the axis code. But the results also caused an error. I then tried to call the axis code in a simple @GET method (to cross out any issues regarding the multipart) and the result where the same. Problem with Roles and Triggers
I'm having a strange problem with Roles and Triggers in Oracle. It's a little difficult to describe, so bear with me...
I'm trying to create a trigger that inserts records into a table belonging to a different user/owner. Of course, the owner of this trigger needs rights to insert records into this other table. I find that if I add these rights directly to the owner of the trigger, everything works okay and the trigger compiles successfully.
However, if I first create a Role and grant the "insert" rights to it, and then assign this role to the owner of the trigger, the trigger does not compile successfully.
To illustrate this, here's an example script. I'm using Oracle 10g Release 2...

If the insert rights exist only on TestRole, and TestRole is assigned to TestUser, I can do the INSERT statement you suggest with no problems if I just execute it from SQLPlus (logged in as TestUser).
The question is, why does the same INSERT fail when it's inside the trigger? -
Problem with writing and reading using serialization
I am having a problem with writing and reading an object that has another object in it. The purpose of the class is to write a order that has multiple items in it. And there will be several orders. This is for an IB project, where one of the requirements is to utilize a hierarchical composite data structure. That is, it is "one that contains more than one element and at least one of the elements is a composite data structure. Problem with Drag and drop in panel dashboard

I am having problem with drag and drop in panel dashboard.
I will explain what i am doing.
I am using Oracle three column template in First region i am having a table that showing all customer.
I drag one record from my table and drop it on customer info (CIF) page on second region it is working fine.
my CIF page has a dashboard with 6 panel box. i am showing 6 different jsff in 6 panel box.
I put drop target in each jsff

when i put drop target my panel boxes moves only when i drag it to another panel box header not entire part of panel box.

Oracle employee's are, I believe, directed to post on internal Oracle forums.

About a week ago replicat abened with "Error in mapping" error. I found in discard file some record looking like:

So I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record at 2012-06-01 15:44
I guess I need to mention that extract failed in 5 minuts before it with: VAM function VAMRead returned unexpected result: error 600 - VAM Client Report <[CFileInfo::Read] Timeout expired after 10 retries with 1000 ms delay, waiting to read transaction log or backup files. To increase the number of retries, use SETENV (GGS_CacheRetryCount = n) in Extract parameter file. I don't know if it has ther same source as data corruption, could you tell me if it is?
Well, I created new extract, starting 2012-06-01 15:30 to check if there was something with extract at the time, but got the same error.
If I run extract beging at 15:52 it starts and works.
But well, I got another one today. Data didn't look that bad, but yet one column came with null value:( And I'm using it as a key column, so I got Mapping problem with compressed key update record again:(
I'm replicating from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle 11g.
I'm actually using NOCOMPRESSUPDATES in Extract.
CDC is enabled for all tables replicated. The only thing is that it is enabled not by ADD TRANDATA command, but by SQL Server sys.sp_cdc_enable_table, does it matter?
Could you please advise why does it happen?Well, the problem begins somewhere in extract or before extract, may be in transaction log, I don't know:(

Problem with binding in rich:tabPanel
I have the problem with binding in rich component. In the first request the tabPanel work fine, but in the second request the component is not displayed. When i remove binding="#{organizationController.tabPanel}" everything works well. Anybody can help me? thanks.

Thanks a lot, both of your replies are immensely instructive. Maybe a little background on what I'm trying to do. In the table, I have header rows with dependent line rows. When a check box is ticked in the header, I want the corresponding check boxes in the dependent lines to be checked automatically (in slave fashion and ideally without using JavaScript). My idea was to update the bound components (for the lines) from within the Bean (in response to change on the header). However, given there's only a single component for each column in the table, this of course doesn't make sense.
I'm trying to get to the typical MVC workflow of a) user updates a View component, b) Controller detects the change and updates the Model, c) The Model fires a property change event, which the View detects and updates appropriately. What's the way to achieve this in JSF (by design)?

A problem with 1CL_OLIS002 and 1CL_OMAT001 extractors - delta extraction

I have a problem with 1CL_OLIS002 and 1CL_OMAT001 extractors - delta extraction.
Interrelated extractors: 2LIS_11_VAITM and ZMATBATCH_Attr work well.
For 1CL's extractors I see current data in RSA3 but I don't see LUWs in RSA7.
Extractors send 0 records to BW.
There is no entry in "BIREQU* " job logs like this:
"Call customer enhancement BW_BTE_CALL_BW204010_E (BTE) with xxx records".
which I find in job logs when all worked well.
We had some problems with R3. I had to restart job "LIS-BW-VB-APPLICATION_13*".
May be it has influence on these extractors?
Any suggestions about how to resolve the problem?

Problem with JFrame and busy/wait Cursor
Hi -- I'm trying to set a JFrame's cursor to be the busy cursor,
for the duration of some operation (usually just a few seconds).
I can get it to work in some situations, but not others.
Timing does seem to be an issue.
There are thousands of posts on the BugParade, but
in general Sun indicates this is not a bug. I just need
a work-around.
I've written a test program below to demonstrate the problem.
I have the problem on Solaris, running with both J2SE 1.3 and 1.4.
I have not tested on Windows yet.
When you run the following code, three JFrames will be opened,
each with the same 5 buttons. The first "F1" listens to its own
buttons, and works fine. The other two (F2 and F3) listen
to each other's buttons.
The "BUSY" button simply sets the cursor on its listener
to the busy cursor. The "DONE" button sets it to the
default cursor. These work fine.
The "SLEEP" button sets the cursor, sleeps for 3 seconds,
and sets it back. This does not work.
The "INVOKE LATER" button does the same thing,
except is uses invokeLater to sleep and set the
cursor back. This also does not work.
The "DELAY" button sleeps for 3 seconds (giving you
time to move the mouse into the other (listerner's)
window, and then it behaves just like the "SLEEP"
button. This works.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I still believe you would need a thread for the time consuming task, and that invokeLater is something you only need to use in a thread different from the event thread. -
Problem with installing and running some applications or drivers
When installing and installing some items, towards the end of the installation I get this message:

The end result is that some things do not seem to work properly, such as my HP printer. Would anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?Thank you for your response. Sometimes, the download hangs and is unable to complete. The main problem I've encountered so far with an application is when I use the printer to scan an image via Preview, it's blank: there's nothing there.
