Problme in creating BW report based on R/3 report

I am working on BW report which is copy of R/3 report,
My problme is the result is not matching with R/3 report.
I have take same condition and same objects,
I am using
Material
gross value
gross weight.etc....
I have to match Gross value which is not matching with R/3 reports,
Please help me on this

Please check whether the data in the data target is matching with R/3 or not?
If the data in Data target itself is wrong? then that is extraction problem.
If the data is correct in the data target and not correct in the report then we can correct the query.
Please confirm this.

Usage of this add-in is: Let the user choose from a list of predefined datasets, and create a totally empty report with this dataset attached to is. So the user can create a report based on this dataset.
I have a dataset in memory, and want to create a new report in cr2008.
The new report is a blank report (with no connection information).

Creat a report in bi publisher based on dashboards

Do you know if is possible creat a report in BIP with the same information and format that is in the dashboards?

I would think you can in most cases - but there is no automated tool.
Steps I would take is
1) create a new report with the parameters shown in the dashboard.
2) Add a query with the logical SQL from each answer report.
3) Add where conditions based on parameters
4) create a BI Publisher report in the word template based on this data.

How to create a report based on the portal30.wwsbr_all_items?

Hi,
I created items in a folder in a content area. I would like to create a portal report and display the items of the folder of the content area.
I logged in the database as portala30 and issued the following statement:
SELECT ID,NAME FROM WWSBR_ALL_ITEMS WHERE CAID = 331
AND FOLDER_ID = 49959;
(I found out the caid for content area and folder_id for folders
from the portal30.wwsbr_all_content_areas, and portal30.wwsbr_all_folders.)
I have a row returned from my query in sqlplus (which is correct).
Then I go into portal as portal30-> application(based on portal30 schema) -> create a report,
use the same sql statement that I used above, and I got the following error message at run time:
Error: ORA-01445: cannot select ROWID from a join view without a key-preserved table (WWV-11230)
Failed to parse as PORTAL30_PUBLIC - SELECT ID,NAME FROM PORTAL30.WWSBR_ALL_ITEMS order by rowid (WWV-08300)
Note: I did run the sbrapi.sql to grant access to the content area api to portal30_public.
What else I am missing?

The things i've seen is that you must remove the ';' character because you don't need it with the report component.

We don't have enterprise portal but I like to create the web based version of the existing Bex reports and which option is the best to distribute this web based report using information broadcasting?
Can I use report designer for this?

In BI 7.0 the Queries which u devoleped can be broad casted by using two ways .
1. Enterprise portal
2.Web Application Designer(WAD)
So you can choose any of the option, For the Option 1 you should have seperate server for the EP or else For option 2 you have to make some setting in the BI system to enable the Web reports..

How to create a chart based on an existing report by passing variables?

Hi,
I have created a report (REP01). I've put a link on a column (table_name), on clicking it takes to another interactive report (REP02) that use table_name as filter.
Now, I want to create a flash chart (Chart02) on this page of second report which refresh automatically based on the selection. I am running APEX 4.0.2 so flash chart is not an issue.
My question is, how can I pass the parameters (table-name etc.) to the chart(chart02) so that it will refresh according to the criteria of the first report (REP01).
Help is appreciated.

In the first one I used the link functionality and pass parameter as IR_...
But I can't see how to set them up for chart or pass them to chart.
If you explain it how, it'd be helpful.

How to create a BAPI based on R/3 report?

I have a requirement to create a BAPI based on an R/3 report. the selection screen elements shold be the parameters that we pass to the BAPI and output of the report will be the output for the BAPI.
I have issue creating the bapi structure for select-options parameters of the report. suppose order type is defined as SELECT-OPTIONS: s_auart FOR vbak-auart. How this need to be converted into a BAPI structure? Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi,
U can declare AU_LOW and AU_HIGH as two import paramters in BAPI.
and then u can add it to ranges in the source code by these import values.
So that u can pass the range of values.

How to create a report based on the selection of a node of a tree

I am new to Oracle Apex and I was trying to build a tree and also an interactive report based on the empno column of the emp table.
I have created a tree based on emp table. Now I want to display records of the employee selected in the tree.
Here is the tree query:

I tried to follow the thread Re: tree question but could not understand much from it.

The approach for reloading the page and displaying the report is quite simple.
<li>You start by creating a new page item which would be used to store the selected node ID , eg. P100_SELECTED_NODE (you can make it atext item and change it hidden once everything works as expected)
<li>Modify the tree query and change the link column in the tree definition SQL query to a link to the same
for example if your page is 100 , you would make the tree node link to the same page but set the P100SELECTED_NODE with selected node's id_

Then I created a page item ListOfTables, Display as select list and pointing to tables_LOV.
I run the page, and i can select the table i want from the drop down list.
How to create a report based on the selected item? (ex: select * from selected_table)

I think that simulates what you're trying to accomplish. I've set up the simplest method I could think of.
The report is based on an apex collection. If you are not familiar with that, you should study the documentation: APEX_COLLECTION
To recreate my example you should:
1) create an (interactive) report on your collection
SELECT *
   FROM APEX_collections
WHERE collection_name = 'MY_COLLECTION'
2) create a page_item select list for the tables you want to display (in my case this is called "P38_TABLES" )
3) create a dynamic action that triggers on change of your select list page_item. The dynamic action must be a PL/SQL procedure perfoming the following code:

Can not create Webi report on a Universe based on Bex Query

Hi,
We are using BO XI 3.1 (FP 3.4) with SAP integration Kit (same Patch Level) with SAP Authentication. We have a Universe based on a bex query and its connection is set to use SSO.
We have say two SAP users U1 & U2. Now "U1" is able to create webi reports but when we Logged in as "U2" and try to create Webi reports or try to refresh reports created by U1 it through an error ...
The database error text is: (CS) "Error on NumResultCols" . (WIS 10901).....
As per the "Authorization" section in BusinessObjects XI Integration for SAP Solution Installation Guide we have provided this users with all the mention autherizations.
Any words over this will be highly appreciated.

It is highly probable that this is due to missing authorizations on the SAP BW side (not talking about the authroizations which are directly related to the BO/BW integration). I would recommend to ask your SAP Basis team to do a security trace while you are accessing the reports with the user, who gets the error. THey should look for failing authorization checks.

How to create collection (query) based on report results?

Unfortunately, there is no straight-forward answer here. ConfigMgr console queries use WQL and only have visibility to a subset of the complete information in the database. Most things you are probably interested in creating queries from are probably visible,
but that's not guaranteed. Additionally, they are named slightly differently also so it really just takes some trial and error and personal investigation to see what is there and what isn't. The place to start is to open the root\sms\site_<sitecode>namespace
on the system hosting the SMS provider. The public reference for most of the classes is at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh948405.aspx . These all directly map to data in the database but as mentioned, not all views in the DB have a corresponding WMI class.

Creating a Report based on different schema objects

Hi,
I have a situation in creating Reports for my database performance.
Let me explain my requirment.
There are 2 schemas in my database called X, Y
X owns all the performance related data. But Y has read access on X objects.
Now in APEX I have a developer DEV1 is mapped to database schema Y through WS1.
I cannot map DEV1 to database schema X for security reasons.
When I am trying to create a report as DEV1, it is allowing me to create based on the objects owned by schema Y.
However it is not allowing me to create a report based on objects owned by X though Y has SELECT privileges on X's objects.
Can any one help in this?
