Procedure of install of two different programs that co-exist

Hello
procedures.
I am looking for any documentation resource that would give a hint in the build and structure of My SQL and PHP on a Mac OS 10.4.11
I am at a kindergarden level of learning My SQL and PHP and would like to learn at the Terminal level.
I have successfully installed My SQL from Sun and that install as it portray`s itself
in the Terminal as ; mysql-5.1.31-osx10.4-powerpc
I do know that phpMyAdmin does exist. I would like to stick with learning via the Terminal for now.
I could install PHP and then maybe end up with a mess ?.
Do you know of any Documentation resource on the internet that could spell out the procedures for the install of both MySQL and PHP on the Mac OS 10.4.11 and the mixing of these two Programs together so that they both work together and a person could continue on working with the Terminal in the creation of MySQL database and tables and continue on working with a plain text editor and work with PHP and XHTML and just carry on with the learning of My SQL and PHP.
I would just like to get thru the procedures of the install of MySQL and PHP on the Mac OS 10.4.11
after applying the spatula of command line or any Tech know how, to these two different programs and mix them together so a person could proceed with using them together.
What are the many and various PHP MySQL combinations.
thank you.

I read that twice and I still have no idea what you're talking about. Spatula what?

    Hi,
There is a loadClass method in Class. You can use this with reflection.
You can also write a customised ClassLoader

I have two (paid) copies of lightroom 5 from your photography promotion installed (on two different machines). I would like to deactivate one copy on one desktop so I can install a copy on my laptop. How do I go about this?

While the standalone version of LR has no deactivation, the Photography Program which is LR + PS-CC bundled and licensed through the Cloud will have a 2-activation limit per Adobe ID, and you cannot decouple the LR from the PS-CC in the Photographers Bundle.
You can license the cloud on up to two computers per AdobeID by signing into the cloud.  When you try to sign in on a third computer you have the option to deactivate the other two copies, which you can do, and then never sign into the cloud on the one computer you don’t want activated and you’ll be fine.

  • HT1364 I used these instructions to move my i-tunes library to the external hard drive that two different home pc's access. My playlists do not show on both Is it possible to have one i-pod synch amid two different computers that use the same library?

I have a sole i-pod and two pc's, used the instructions for "iTunes for Windows: Moving your iTunes Media folder" in the hope that I could synch my one i-pod between two different computers that are sharing the same library. Is it possible to have two seperate computers that only share an external hard drive (one wireless, one not) ? When I am looking at a shared library should it appear the same on both machines (ie: playlists/ purchased list etc)?

If it is moved correctly, playlists will display on both computers and it should be possible.
    Close iTunes.
    Hold <SHIFT> and launch iTunes.
When prompted to create a new or open an existing iTunes library point iTunes to the iTunesLibrary.itl file on the external drive.
The entire library should now show up with all playlists and playcounts.
    Do this on both computers.
Keep in mind that only one computer can access iTunes at a time, otherwise errors will occur when each computer attempts to write to or update the iTunesLibrary.itl file.
Syncing may work seemlessly with both computers, but honestly syncing is designed to work with one and only one computer.

  • Pro*C installed under ORACLE_HOME different from that of the RDBMS???

    I have Oracle 10g r2 installed on a RHAS4 server.
I installed Oracle developer suite 10.1 on this server. In the installation procedures, there are specific instructions to not install it under the ORACLE_HOME for an existing database installation.
Oracle was already installed under /usr/lib/oracle (don't ask me why, I didn't do it).
I installed oracle developer suite under /oracle/dev. If I set ORACLE_HOME to /usr/lib/oracle, proc responds with:
Symbol `kpccapCTarr' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
PCC-F-NOERRFILE, unable to open error message file, facility PR2
If I set ORACLE_HOME to /oracle/dev, it works correctly.
This appears to require me to switch my oracle home setting each time I switch between using Pro*C and sqlplus. This in very inconvenient. I have worked on many, many systems in the past which had one ORACLE_HOME for both the RDBMS and the development tools.
Is this a new constraint introduced by Oracle? Where does this restriction come from?
Is there something I don't understand and have I installed the developer suite incorrectly?

    Mark, Kamal,
The situation I have created (mixed versions) is because I am supposed to be developing using the Oracle 10gr2 Express Edition database. There is no developer suite available for 10gr2, so I must use 10gr1. Normally, I go to great lengths to avoid this sort of situation, but I don't have much control over it here.
I think this would be a fairly common work environment (running 10g r2 express or enterprise) with a 10g r1 development suite. That I am having this many problems with setting it up is very frustrating. I've never spent more that a couple of hours on an install and configuration on a development environment, but haven't set one up since 9.2.
What are "all the environment variables"? I am used to setting ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME. I am aware of LD_LIBRARY_PATH and it's use, but I don't normally change it unless required. By setting ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID, the precompiler works okay, so I'll leave it like that. Are there other env. vars. that have to be set?
Pro*C links with shared libraries by default. I'm not even sure that this can be changed to static. When I install the built pro*c executables, do I have to install the shared libraries from under the development ORACLE_HOME as well?

The code you post is javascript, NOT java ! ... but either way, maybe the scripts have variables in conflict, so if you pack each piece of code in diferent functions and then you call the functions it may work.

  • Can database and application services install on two different OS?

    Hi All,
Our customer want to install Oracle E-Business Suite 12 on two separate nodes, but both of nodes are running different OS. One node is Red Hat Linux which will be the database server, and the other node is Microsoft Windows 2003 which will be the application server. My questions are whether there will be a problem to communicate between the database server and application or whether there will be a problem to do the configuration for them to work. Please help me on these questions.
    Thank you
    Lin

I agree with Fadi...As long as it's supported, you shouldn't have problems. Or at least, if you do have problems, Oracle will be able to help you. :-) Oracle does provide support for "split-tier" configurations, but you should confirm that the one you propose is a supported combination.
I recommend checking the certification matrix on Metalink, and if that seems ambiguous, log an SR with Oracle Support for clarification.

What I need to know is I have a Palm IIIe & a Palm Zire 31 both of which use a different version of Palm Destop can a install both versions of Palm Desktop on a single computer and then be able to hotsync both devices. Or will both of them hotsync with the same version of Palm Desktop.

    View Solution.

    Hello obsolete.
I haven't tried your specific combination of devices before, but I think it should work.  I would install Palm Desktop 4.1.4 and then sync the Palm IIIe first.  Once you know that the Palm IIIe is syncing normally, I would then install Palm Desktop 4.1.4e on top of 4.1.4, upgrading it.  Then sync the Palm IIIe to make sure it is still working.  If it is, then attempt to sync your Zire 31.
Since you will be syncing two devices to the same computer, I recommend that each device have it's own unique HotSync ID to prevent things from going bad on you.

  • I just purchased an IMac with lion and I tryed to install an old math program that is for winmac running systems. When I try to boot the cd it comes up with a notepad window with a bunch of weird symbols and codes but the program will not start up.

I just purchase my first IMac with lion and I was trying to install a math program I bought 6 years ago. When I went to boot it off the disk while following the program instructions a window popped up with a note pad format with symbols and codes but the program would not download or open. How do I get this program to work? It is a mac compatible program by the way.

Your Mac probably does not know with which application to open the file and is opening a file with a text editor that really needs to be opened by the application itself.  Try starting the application first, then use the File > open command to open the file.
As varjak paw comments, there isn't a "winmac" so that's not telling us anything.
Note that it is possible that software purchased 6 years ago may no longer run on your computer.  Once we know what it is we can help more.

Hi, I'm a student and had to install a program on my macbook (never used mac before, was given it by the school).  This program, Titanium, downloaded and installed just fine.  When I turn it on it wants me to update it, so I click install and the computer asks for my System Password.  Thinking that this is my login fr the computer I type in my password and it says it's invalid. SO I type it again, invalid.  I try another password that I have thinking that it's for Titanium itself, as their website requires a password as well.. Invalid.  Can someone help me here???  I need this program for school and I have a big assignment due Saturday and i can't even install something on my own dang computer....

    scottjason918,
contact your school’s IT support department. Since your school requires that that program  be installed on your Mac, they’re the ones who are responsible for its well-being on your Mac.

  • Using values of two different applications that are from the same class

    Hi,
    See the following little program
What I can't figure out is
    i) How to change the values if I add a button
ii) How to print just app.x1 etc. The way I have it now, it will just print x1, y1 etc, from both app and app1, but I want to be able to distinguish between the two of them so I can use the values.....ie for example add app.x1 and app1.x2 (only using that as an example of what I want to use them for)
