Make sure that you have upgraded to the 9.2.0.2 patchset and, as part of the migration to 9202, that you have run the catpatch.sql script.

  • Internal error when generating a process flow.

    Hello,
    I got a message asking to contact Oracle Support.
    Using OWB 9.2.0.4.0 we are unable to generate a process flow.
    The process flows validates without any errors or warnings but gets problems when we deploying then process flow.
    This is the message we received::
    oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG
    oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeProgress.notifyInternalError(WHRuntimeProgress.java:180)      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeGeneration.run(WHRuntimeGeneration.java:98) \nCMPException message and stack trace:\njava.lang.Exception: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generate(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:123)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generateProcessPackage(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:451)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generate(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:97)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.DeploymentGenerator.generate(DeploymentGenerator.java:75)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.UnitControllerImpl.defineUnit(UnitControllerImpl.java:130)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.UnitControllerImpl.<init>(UnitControllerImpl.java:78)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentControllerImpl.defineControllerList(DeploymentControllerImpl.java:249)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentControllerImpl.<init>(DeploymentControllerImpl.java:50)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentSpecificationImpl.createController(DeploymentSpecificationImpl.java:395)      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeGeneration.run(WHRuntimeGeneration.java:86)

    this is just a shot in the dark, and a pure guess/try approach but try to recreate the process flow and see if you still get the same error. I do recall having something similar happening to me and what I ended up doing was dropping the process flow and recreate it. That was an easy option as the PF was very simple.

  • Internal error in R-tree processing: [Recursive fetch error]

    Hello,
    I seem to be getting an error when using any type of SDO function (SDO_RELATE, SDO_FILTER, SDO_ NN, ... ) on my spatially indexed data. The error I'm getting is this:
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-29903: error in executing ODCIIndexFetch() routine
    ORA-13236: internal error in R-tree processing: []
    ORA-13236: internal error in R-tree processing: [Recursive fetch error]
    The interesting part of this is that I only get this error if I insert more than 31 entries into the table. All the relevant code is posted below, what I do is create the table, then create the metadata from the sqlplus interface. After that I run a java program that does Clear() then Insert() then Create_Indices(). All these run just fine (at least run without telling me about any errors). But as soon as that is all done and I do an SDO query on the data, for example:
    SELECT location stop_range_poly_area
    FROM stops
    WHERE SDO_FILTER
    location,
    SDO_GEOMETRY
    2003, null, null,
    SDO_ELEM_INFO_ARRAY(1,1003,1),
    SDO_ORDINATE_ARRAY(300,300, 600,300, 600,600, 300,600, 300,300)
    ) = 'TRUE';
    I get the above mentioned error. But if I change my data so that it doesn't have more than 31 entries (doesn't matter which 31 entries, just so long as it doesn't exceed that number) that query (and all of my other SDO test queries on the stops table) seems to work just fine.
    Thanks for looking at this,
    Brad

    Hi,
    Thanks for trying but changing those items for the specific failing queries didn't seem to help. Though you do seem to be right about the internal/external polygon problem, so I changed it all my other queries to see if they would fail (that way things would at least be consistent), but it doesn't seem to make a difference. All my old failing quries still fail and my working ones still work. I also changed the co-ordinates as you specified and still have no changes (unless of course the results changed, but right now I'm just looking for queries that compile and run, the results don't matter yet).
    Maybe this will help, I'll give you guys both sets of data, one that works and one that doesn't and maybe you can see a problem in the data that I'm just missing or too ignorant to see. The data is simply comma seperated values that I parse into the required fields in the order (id, description, x, y).
    So far, the only reason I've been able to find that the non-working data doesn't work is because there are more than 31 rows. I started taking records out of the stops table in a binary search sort of pattern. If I take out stops 100-115 (resulting 29 records) all the queries work, if I take out stops 100-107 (resulting in 36 records) it doesn't work. If I take out 109-115 (resulting in 35 records) it doesn't work. If I take out 1-11 (resulting in 32 records) it doesn't work. If I take out 1-12 (resulting in 31 records) it does work. Here's a table
    Take out Stops ---- records left -- Works?
    s1-s11 ------------ 32 ------------ No
    s1-s12 ------------ 31 ------------ Yes
    s100-s115 --------- 29 ------------ Yes
    s100-s107 --------- 36 ------------ No
    s109-s115 --------- 35 ------------ No
    Thanks again for checking this out,
    Brad

  • Oracle Error when creating indexes

    Help!! I'm getting an error on a spatial create. I read the documents here on this error and I've tried every suggestion.
    1. Plenty of free space in the tablespace indx
    2. Plenty of free space in the temp tablespace
    Does anyone have any ideas??
    Thanx in Advance..

    Hi Frank,
    When you specified "sdo_indx_dim" instead of "sdo_indx_dims",
    the parser is ignoring the parameter. Since the default
    is 2, it still works fine.
    Regarding sdo_rtr_override:
    Glad that the workaround helped. This is a non-documented parameter
    for R-tree that gives a workaround for any possible bugs that
    are introduced as part of new features in new releases. Given
    the nature of spatial, there could be some data-specific bugs. In 9.2,
    there are some new clustering improvements (internal) and guessing
    from the error stack the new one is running out of some stack space
    internally due to data outliers (does not occur in all datasets though).
    The sdo_rtr_override=0 defaults the behavior of the current operation
    (create-index or query) to prior releases (like 9.1). This parameter
    allows the users to work uninterrupted while things improve in new
    releases. The behavior of this parameter should not be used to compare
    performance etc. in different versions though and should be used only
    as a workaround. (It is not documented due to these implications
    and only recommended when needed by spatial).
    Spatial will definitely try to improve on the error messages.
    Please file a bug with some sample data or send Oracle
    the data at the earliest so that this can be fixed properly.
    - Ravi.

  • Error in creating a process using runtime class - please help

    Hi,
    I am experimenting with the following piece of code. I tried to run it in one windows machine and it works fine. But i tried to run it in a different windows machine i get error in creating a process. The error is attached below the code. I don't understand why i couldn't create a process with the 'exec' command in the second machine. Can anyone please help?
    CODE:

         p= r.exec("dir");
         BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
         System.out.println(br.readLine());
    catch(Exception e){e.printStackTrace();}

    thanks,
    Divya

    As much as I understand from the readings in the forums, Runtime.exec can only run commands that are in files, not native commands.
    Hmm how do I explain that again?
    Here:
    Assuming a command is an executable program
    Under the Windows operating system, many new programmers stumble upon Runtime.exec() when trying to use it for nonexecutable commands like dir and copy. Subsequently, they run into Runtime.exec()'s third pitfall. Listing 4.4 demonstrates exactly that:
    Listing 4.4 BadExecWinDir.java
    import java.util.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class BadExecWinDir
    public static void main(String args[])
    try
    Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process proc = rt.exec("dir");
    InputStream stdin = proc.getInputStream();
    InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(stdin);
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(isr);
    String line = null;
    System.out.println("<OUTPUT>");
    while ( (line = br.readLine()) != null)
    System.out.println(line);
    System.out.println("</OUTPUT>");
    int exitVal = proc.waitFor();
    System.out.println("Process exitValue: " + exitVal);
    } catch (Throwable t)
    t.printStackTrace();
    A run of BadExecWinDir produces:
    E:\classes\com\javaworld\jpitfalls\article2>java BadExecWinDir
    java.io.IOException: CreateProcess: dir error=2
    at java.lang.Win32Process.create(Native Method)
    at java.lang.Win32Process.<init>(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Runtime.execInternal(Native Method)
    at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Unknown Source)
    at BadExecWinDir.main(BadExecWinDir.java:12)
    As stated earlier, the error value of 2 means "file not found," which, in this case, means that the executable named dir.exe could not be found. That's because the directory command is part of the Windows command interpreter and not a separate executable. To run the Windows command interpreter, execute either command.com or cmd.exe, depending on the Windows operating system you use. Listing 4.5 runs a copy of the Windows command interpreter and then executes the user-supplied command (e.g., dir).

  • Error when creating index with parallel option on very large table

    I am getting a
    "7:15:52 AM ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kxfqupp_bad_cvl], [7940], [6], [0], [], [], [], []"
    error when creating an index with parallel option. Which is strange because this has not been a problem until now. We just hit 60 million rows in a 45 column table, and I wonder if we've hit a bug.
    Version 10.2.0.4
    O/S Linux
    As a test I removed the parallel option and several of the indexes were created with no problem, but many still threw the same error... Strange. Do I need a patch update of some kind?

    This is most certainly a bug.
    From metalink it looks like bug 4695511 - fixed in 10.2.0.4.1

    Hi Sathya
    The following line in your log tells you what is wrong:
    ORA-01654: unable to extend index SAPSR3DB.SYS_C004057 by 128 in tablespace PSAPSR3DB
    This is a configuration that you or the dba people need to do. The first thing I would check is if autoextend is on/off on your tablespace PSAPSR3DB. If it's 'off' you either need to put it to 'on' or manually extend the size of your tablespace depending on how much harddrvive space you have to play with. Here is a more detailed solution on how to do it:
    Oracle Error : ORA-01654: unable to extend index string.string by string in tablespace string
    Cause: Failed to allocate an extent of the required number of blocks for an index segment in the tablespace indicated.
    Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE statement to add one or more files to the tablespace indicated.

    Hi
    Please do the following steps.
    When you are using the Internal ITS,you need not run the report W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES.(only SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT )
    ALso pls check the foll:
    -->activate the services through SICF tcode.
    > Go to SICF transaction and activate the whole tree under the node Deafult host>sap>bc>gui>sap>its.
    >Also maintain the settings in SE80>utilities>settings>internet transactuon server-->test service/Publish.
    Table TWPURLSVR should have entries for the / SRM server line as well as gui and web server.
    Could you please review again the following steps ?
    Did you check that ICM was working correctly (TA SMICM) ?
    1-Activate the necessary ICF services
    With transaction SICF and locate the
    services by path
    /sap/public/bc/its/mimes
    /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
    2- Publish the IAC Services
    With Transaction SE80 locate from
    the menu Utilities -> Settings ->
    Internet Transaction Server (Tab) ->
    Publish (Tab) and set “On Selected
    Site” = INTERNAL.
    3- Locate the Internet Services SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
    Publish these services with the Context
    Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
    4- Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/
    sap/its/webgui/! and login to the
    webgui.
    Hope this will help.
    Please reward suitable points.
