Process Management for multiple scenario, years, periods, phases, entities?

Hello,
Inside System 11 HFM, we recreated an application where we have an history of 10 years, 12 periods, for about 10 scenarios and 500 entities.
For all the Entities, scenarios, Year, periods and phases, process flow is at "not started"
We would like to start, promote, publish all these in a faster way to make them available
How can we do this ?

Hi,
Enabling Process Management:
Before you can use Process Management, the administrator must enable process management
using the SupportSubmissionPhase attribute for the Scenario dimension in the metadata file.
When this attribute is enabled, Process Management is available for the specified scenarios.

Hello,
not out of the box, since in workflows and custom activities you can only access the reqestor and target object direcly.
But you can develop your own custom activity that fits you need, or do it with powershell custom activity.
I did a very similar thing, to be able to change users group membership from the user UI, so I have also edit objects other then requestor and target in a workflow.
Since both (manager and member) are reference attributes you maybe find this article helpful:

How to install Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier

i need to install BPEL process manager, so i download the following file from otn
1.soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1
2.soa_windows_x86_bpel_101310
here i read the document named b28980.pdf from bpel\doc\pc.1012 to install BPEL PM
so i start to complete the pre-installation task
1.installed Oracle database 10g
2.Run the Integration Repository Creation Assistant on the Database
3.Install Oracle Application Server 10g Release3 (10.1.3.1.0) and select either the J2EE Server installation type or the J2EE and Web Server installation type. selected J2EE and Web Server installation type
and installed according to the Oracle application server installation guide.
installed OracleAS in the path : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1
4.Install the current release of Oracle BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier
here they mention to select the J2EE and Web Server installation type because that type is selected in Oracle AS installed in Oracle Application Server
so i start to install the BPEL PM by selecting the setup.exe-->and shows the location source and destination
default destination is : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 selected next on the screen
the next screen is select installation type here there are two types named
1.BPEL process Manager for Developer (371MB)
2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB)
i selected 2.BPEL process manager for Oracle AS Middle tier (107MB) and click next
pop up window opens with title dependencies
error:
BPEL Process manager for oracle AS Middle tier will run on top of a supported Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 J2EE server and Web Server Or J2EE server instance. this location does not contain this instance. Please select new Oracle home that contains a supported instance.
so i changed the destination path to : D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN then also i got the same error.
please any one mention the path for J2EE and Web Server instance for installing the BPEL PM for Oracle AS Middle Tier.

If you choose the developer version you will be fine.
If you have installed J2EE and Web Server installation into D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 then this is the location you install your BPEL PM into, not D:\product\10.1.3.1\OraBPEL_1 or D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\BIN.
D:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1 is what we call the ORACLE_HOME, generally we create a new home for each install, but in this case there is a dependency on 10.1.3.1 OC4J container. So it needs to be installed into 10.1.3.1 oracle home.
The bin directory is just the executables for that home, its not the actual. home.

Report for internal order - year/period comparison

I want to create a report for internal orders with year/period (from/to) comparison.
For the present year/period i'm using CCA variables 1YRPERF (Fiscal Year/Period From) and 1YRPERT (Fiscal Year/Period To), created from field FISCPER, table RWCOOM.
Now i want to creat a column fot the n-1 period (example: if selected current period as 009.2013 to 008.2014 the n-1 period will be 009.2012 to 008.2013), any suggestion what can I do about this?

This is for higher education institution that have to report by fiscal year (01-12 months) and by academic year (09.year1 to 08.year2). I have two maps to do this but the challenge is to have a unique map that by dates could retreive both information.
I need a to have a column giving the total for example the Per/Yr 009.2012 to 008.2013 and other column with the Per/Yr -1.
I've tried your first option but doesen't work at all because don't work with a period like 009.2013 to 008.2014. Then i made some adjustments: first column was setted to Yr (variable: 6-GJAHV to 6-GJAHB) and Per (variables: 1NPERIV to 1NPERIB). The second column was setted with Yr (variable: 6-GJAH2 to 6-GJAH2) and Per (variables: 1NPERIV to 1NPERIB). Seems to work with a few tests!
Also i tried to creat new variables "1YRPERF" / "1YRPERT" to n-1, but had some problems with formula.
1YRPERF have a formula: '#S012-999' and 1YRPERT formula is: '#S012'.
To 1YRPERF-1 i've defined the formula '1YRPERF' -1, and for the Per to the formula '1YRPERT' -1, but seems to consider minus 1 period that the entry period. I've tried with -12 but didn't work too.

Process Management for Standard Target Version

I am newbie to hyperion, I am entering values at parent level by taking version type as "Standard Target", Is this possible to create Process Management for "Standard Target" versions? if yes how? Plz help me.

I take it you are talking about planning, process management is for "Bottom Up Versions"
From the docs
"Target versions use top-down budgeting. *Manage Process Tasks are not allowed*, and children of target members must be blank (for example, #MISSING) to enable data input at the top level."

ABAP routine for DTP fiscal year/period filter

Hi All,
Delta loads are which not possible for when the transformation source is an InfoSet. To limit the data in these loads, currently a filter is set in the DTPs on fiscal year/period so only load the current month and 2 prior months are loaded. This filter has to be updated each month for each of the DTPs manually. To eliminate this monthly task a dynamic filter (routine) needs should be used rather than a static filter. Can anybody help me in providing the logic

Accessing Enterprise Manager for multiple db's on same machine

I've installed Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition (basic installation with starter database) on my laptop. I've created two databases and the link to
access Database Control (Enterprise Manager) for each is as follows

[https://192.168.2.2:1158/em]
I cannot access either of them. I've tried [https://localhostname:####/em,] still no access.
The system variable(s) ORACLE_HOME is not currently defined. I've tried to define it as follows, ORACLE_HOME=C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1.
In Windows XP services OracleDBConsoleMyDB1 and OracleDBConsoleMyDB2 each service is
set to Automatic . . . but neither shows current status.
The databases are up and running, I can connect and query from each.
How can I get the web interface to Enterprise Manager to work?

Ok, I found the two directories;
C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1\oc4j\j2ee\OC4J_DBConsole_192.168.2.2_alpdev
C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1\oc4j\j2ee\OC4J_DBConsole_192.168.2.3_cnpdev
I also found these two as well;
C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1\192.168.2.2_alpdev
C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1\192.168.2.3_cnpdev
My machine name is xxxxxx1700, so I had to make the following changes to get
any meaningful output.
Renamed directories (folders) under C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1
to xxxxxx1700_alpdev and xxxxx1700_cnpdev, OC4J_DBConsole_xxxxx1700_alpdev did not work,
neither did OC4J_DBConsole_xxxxx1700_alpdev.
Under C:\app\product\11.1.0\db_1\oc4j\j2ee, created two new directories OC4J_DBConsole_xxxxx1700_alpdev
and OC4J_DBConsole_xxxxxx1700_cnpdev and copied contents into these two folders from
OC4J_DBConsole_192.168.2.2_alpdev and OC4J_DBConsole_192.168.2.3_cnpdev.
I then SET ORACLE_SID's;
C:\> set ORACLE_SID=alpdev
C:\>emctl start dbconsole

Hi Sri,
This is not batch split. It is SAP standard way of showing batches that determined at the time of delivery. Your item item 10 will have a quantity of 0 and item 90001 will have actual quantity. You need not have to pick item 10, instead you would be picking item 90001. if you have multiple batches for same item it will show them as 90001, 90002 etc.
When you invoice these items it will show as item 10, 20 etc.
if you have multiple batches for item 10, 90001 will appear as 10, 90002 as 11, 90003 as 12 and so on.

Starting up Enterprise Manager for multiple DBs are the same time

I have a machine with 3 Databases configured, named A, B, and C when I execute "emctl start dbconsole" it only starts for database A which is on port 5500, how do I get emctl to start a listener for all 3 databases that are configured and running?, looking at the emoms.properties, A is on port 5500 and works, B is on port 5501 and C is on port 5502. I do no t care about A as it is an old DB, but B and C are currently in use, however while I can connect to them, I can not get the enterprise manager to start for them. This is all very poorly documented.

Trouble Shooting
Go to DB2HOME/network/admin/tnsname.ora
Check sid
suppose sid set abc
Go to DB2HOME/bin
set ORACLE_HOME=<DB2HOME>
set ORACLE_SID=abc
emctl start listener if it throw error (then check any
anti virus software is running on your box if running then stop , issue again lsnrctl start )
emctl start dbconsole
Follow same steps for DB3
Let us know if it work for you

I smashed the Bold now using my old 8700g. How do I connect to desktop manager given I dont seem to be able to load 2 versions of software. Also guessing which software was right ie 4.1 ?

Desktop Manager are not specific for any BlackBerry device. They can be used for all the devices available. Current version 4.7 is the newly released one. You shlud be able to use your desktop manager with 8700g.

ATG Session Management for multiple instance

Hello,
I have a topology for ATG applicaiton on my local as one web server with two instances of ATG running. I am storing the cart details in a cookie however, the issue I am facing is that when I restart the browser [close and open again] sometimes I see the items in my cart and at times my cart is empty [Depending on what instance the request was served from]. The req I am working towards is to have items every time I do the routine mentioned above.
Also, When I changed the architecture to one web server and one instance, my cart populates just fine.
This is for anonymous user; no I am not persisting anonymous user profile/order details. Cart Info is stored in a secure cookie.

Infact it want my application in such a way that when i logged in to my application using seperate set of user id and password from two new
instance of IE 6.0 browser (Not through CTRL+N), logging out my
application from one IE browser by clicking Log Out button should not logged me out from othe instance.
When i printed session value when logged from two new instance, i found that both are taking same value at client site where as in my office set-up they both take different values (which is wht i wanted). Set-up and everything are same at both the end. So why such different behaviour at both end. Iplanrt versions are same at both place.
As mentioned by you i have not incorporated session.setMaxInactiveInterval(-1); in my code. Infact the sesson time out is default to webserver (ie 30 mins).

Hi Benoit,
If you are referring to the enable process management option in scenario attributes, disabling this will allow users to be able to change data to previous periods. This will be similar to removing the protection from old excel files.
Is there any specific reason of doing something like that?
