Processing data base failed: Cannot connect to data source

Hi,
I have deployed my SSAS project to an Analysis services database on a SQL 2014 server instance using the "Development" build configration in Visual Studio. In order to avoid users accessing the development instance of the cube, I've created
an additional "Release" build configuration and deployed my project to a different database on the same server. I've also created a production copy of the data source and changed the data source configuration of the production cube to point to this
one.
I've provided the same domain service account on the "Impersonation information" tab of the data source for both the development as well as the production instance of the cube. This account has also been granted identical permissions for both data
sources. While everything works fine with the development database, processing the production database fails with an error message saying that it cannot connect to its respective data source.
I'm using VS Ultimate 2013.4, SSDT 12.0.50318.0. Any hints pointing me in the right direction are appreciated.

According to your description, your production cube can't connect to data source when processing. Right?
In this scenario, if both cube data sources are pointing to same source databases, both connection should work proerly. Since you created a copy of data source for your production cube, please make sure your type the right server name and test connection
in your project. If you can connect successfully, I suggest you only keep this data source for your production project. If the issue still persists, I suggest you import the development database into a new project and save this one as your production database.
If you still have any question, plesse provide some more information and share some screenshots.

Progress Reporter - Failed to connect to data source

Installed Progress Reporter and successfully call up the configuration page (http://WLS_server_name:7001/pr/admin/configuration) fill out the Database URL with the URL I use in SQL Developer (jdbc:oracle:thin:@db_Server_Name:1521:primavera) Public Group ID: 1 username: pubuser and password: pubuser. I put nothing in the Application Server section. When I click on save I get the message "Failed to connect to data source, please verify your settings and try again." I know the URL is correct as it connects using SLQ Developer. I have also created a datasource and pool using the same parameters just to validate the connection URL in different products.
Now I do get errors when starting up WebLogic

I am running on Windows 2008-r2 using WebLogic (64bit) and Java 1.6.0_27 (64bit); Progress Reporter installed in its own domain on a standalone (not managed) weblogic server
I've checked the configuration steps in the documentation (especially for the setDomainEnv.cmd and the PRE_CLASSPATH settings)
Any suggestions appreciated.
Are any of the errors (1 through 4) causing the issue of being unable to connect to the data source?

I have tried both privuser and pubuser. Both username/password combinations work when using sql-developer but not through the database section on the P6 Progress Reporter configuration web page.
I don't login as admin. When I enter the URL http://WLS_server_name:7001/pr/admin it comes up with the configuration screen that has the database and application server configuration sections.
The file primavera-configuration.properties is not created. If I create a blank file that removes the "java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\prhome\primavera-configuration.properties ..." message but it doesn't get any content.

DPM console not connecting . Error- Cannot connect to Data Protection Manager. This version of DPM is not supported with Central Console Client (ID : 33345) DPM console not connecting

I am having problem connecting the DPM console to ther server. It gives me following error -
"Cannot connect to Data Protection Manager. This version of DPM is not supported with Central Console Client (ID : 33345)"
The server is DPM R2 and the same console is working on one other computer.
Any idea how to solve the problem?

Please make sure you have both versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable installed..
Also make sure you have .netframework 2 installed. If you look at the dpm logs it should say what is missing.

Iphone 3GS "cannot connect to data network"

Ever since I updated to the new operating system, my phone (3GS) hasn't worked properly. Sometimes with 3 or even 4 bars of 3G I cannot make phone calls or send text messages or use the browser. I feel like I've tried everything; I have: restored it, restarted it, reset network settings. I receive the "cannot connect to data network" very often, extremely frustrating. If no change after restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, there may be a problem with the SIM card. Contact your carrier which should be Rogers with a 3GS, and request a new SIM card.

There is an example in the \TestStand\Examples\Database directory. Basically there are two ways to connect to your database.
1. You can use the TestStand database step types. There are steps for opening/closing a database connection, opening/closing an SQL statement, and a step for performing a data operation.
2. The other way is to use the TestStand database logging capability to write your results to the database. This is the way I would recommend. With database logging, you use the step results container to record all your results as the sequence runs. (This is done automatically by TestStand). When the sequence is complete, the process model calls a "Log to Database" sequence that will write the results to the database. You must define your datab
ase schema using Configure->Database Options. There are some default (or example) schema definitions already defined. Refer to chapter 18 of your TestStand manual.
Another way to log the data as the sequence is running is shown in the \TestStand\Examples\OnTheFlyReports. This has the advantage of recording data as it is obtained, but it is not as efficient in terms of using a database connection. I don't recommend using this method.
Please post again if you have any more questions. If you are using stored procedures with your database, I can probably give you some tips.

Trying to erase and reset my iPhone 5 (since I have activated an iPhone 6) and cannot get past the 'verification failed, cannot connect to iCloud'. I've been receiving the same message for 5 days.

To start with troubleshooting this issue where you are getting the error "Verification failed, cannot connect to iCloud," I'd like you to please go into your iPhone settings, and reset the network settings. After that, please try to erase your iPhone.
Reset iPhone settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose an option:
Reset Network Settings: When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile are removed. (To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profile, select the profile, then tap Remove. This also removes other settings or accounts provided by the profile.) Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and “Ask to Join Networks” settings remain turned on.

In App Purchase Error, ( Transaction Failed Cannot connect to iTunes Store)

O.k. on my iPhone when I'm in an app I tried to purchase something and it won't let me by saying, Transaction Failed, Cannot Connect to iTunes Store.. But I'm able to use the same app on my iPod touch and I can purchase what I needed.... So can somebody help me figure out what the reason is behind it? Both the iPhone and the Ipod has the same account information and both uses the same computer to connect to iTunes.... So why does one work and the other doesn't? Also its an iPhone 3Gs...

Although you may be using the same iTunes Account, things can get a little strange if you have different AppleID's for each device. On your device, check settings ==> Store. The AppleID for that device is listed there. It can be confusing because syncing to the same iTunes account is not the same as managing App and purchases through the iTunes Store Account.
On your iTunes window the uppe right corner shows which AppleStore ID is logged in. If it turns out they are different, simply log out of the store on iTunes, and log in with the other account. Download the updates. Log out and then back in to the other account.
As an alternative, download the updates on the device they were purchased. Sync to iTunes, and the updated download be transferred back to iTunes and available to the other devices syncing with iTunes.
Or....... if your iPhone is Airplane Mode, turn that Airplane mode off and ignore everything from above.

Just make sure if it wifi is connected. if this doesn't work reboot your iPhone. If it's still doesn't work contact the game service center or something. lastly, make sure u have your credit card sign in. hope this help.

BO data services: Profiler cannot connect. error is - No JVM

I just installed BODS on solaris. I had configured the job servers and repositories and my designer can connect to the job server.
However, my designer cannot connect to the profiler. I'm having an error message of 'no JVM is available to process profiling request. I already configured the profiler repository on oracle using the repository manager and associate the profiler repository to a job server.
Please help.

Try installing the "Web Tier components" on the client (Designer) machine.
(You will have to re-run the Installation, selecting the same components as before, plus the Web Tier Components. There is no need to set up repositories again, though).
This should work, as it installs java components.
(You might want to post any Data Services in the Enterprise Information Management forum - as that is the correct forum for Data Services - I only noticed you question by accident!)

Data Model damaged, Cannot connect to Access 2013 from within Excel 2013

Recently I am not able to use PowerPivot for Excel 2013 and I cannot connect to my Access 2013 database tables from within Excel 2013. Whenever I try to click on a slicer in my Excel worksheet, it gives me the following error: "Excel was unable to load
a necessary component. This component might have been damaged or deleted. Reinstall the client software or data source driver software for your database."
I am using Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 on Windows 7, 64-bit version. I have tried reinstalling Microsoft SQL Compact Edition 2005 and reinstalling Office 2013. I have run out of ideas and am a loss what to do next ?
Can anyone help point in the right direction for a possible solution to this problem ???

can't connect the data package because safari keeps saying that I've not subcribed to data plan whereas, I've subcribed to the data plan!! any suggestions as to what the problem could be because my service provider just replaced the device but still facing the same problem!!

Have you tried contacting your carrier to see if they've provisioned your line correctly, including the data plan?

I have found that someone or something restored my mssql database to an earlier date and lost a lot of data as a result
I have no back up for the lost data.
is there a way to roll back database server so I can recover the lost data?

If backup was restored with REPLACE option or Overwrite option(in GUI) you as such cannot rollback the restore process.
Do you have any backup which is taken after you made changes to your data, or any backup which would include the data you want. If you have you can restore from that backup otherwise there is no solution.
Is this database mirrored/Logshipped/ replicated anywhere ?

Toshiba 4015 , Linksys wpc11 , Extreme Base Station cannot connect! Help

I have one IP address coming into a wired router(linksys bsr41), The router has two good ports. I go directly from one port to a homemade pc and to the airport extreme base station with the second. I have a mac mini wired to the port on the base station. I use imac g5 wirelessly with no problems.
I am trying to set up a Toshiba 4015 CDS to use wirelessly on my deck and I am having a lot of trouble. The Toshiba is upgraded to win 2000 and has 160 meg Ram. I am attempting to connect to the base station with a link sys wpc 11 wireless - b card. I have tried to change numerous setting on the base station but with no luck. I have power to the card but no link. I have used the linksys utility and it can't see the aebs and have tried a 3rd party utility recommended by linksys(freescape????) but it cannot see the base station either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I connect cable to the lan port , I cannot connect with dhcp or with dhcp disabled.
I tried both... restarting aebs and imac wireless and could not connect. When I disable dhcp I am forced to enter manual settings and I am not sure I have correct Ip address since it is behind my router. My internet provider said my base station would have to be behind the router because of a cloned ip address. I am not quite sure what that means. Thanks again for the help.....I have a xmas party to go to but will try further recommendations when I get home.

Based on my research, it is generally caused by the AppData variable is missing from 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders'. SQL Server uses the keys under %AppData%\Microsoft\Protect to protect user data.
If the AppData variable is missing or the 'Protect' is missing, the setup will fail to find the keys, and then fail to protect data.
To resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
Click 'Start' > 'Run'
Type 'Regedit'
Go to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders'
Verify 'AppData' is existing. If it is not there, please create a Expandable String Value with name 'AppData', and value '%USERPROFILE%\Application Data'
After that, please re-run the SQL Server steup to complete the installation. And also verify you are running SQL Server setup with an account has administrative privileges.
