Produce report of graphics in folder

Hi,
i am new to bridge (i only use it to rename file). I have to create a report of all graphics in a folder. I would like to print this report (or at least be able to create a pdf of it) with:
Preview of the file
Name
Color mode
DPI
Kind
Is there a way to do this with Bridge (or another apps)?
Thanks

Not all info can be shown but you can create a PDF from files using the
output module. However when having the latest CS4 with the updated Output
Module you can add info in the pages using header and footer.
Just check out the workspace output to explore the options to customize your
settings and create a PDF file.
Using the option to show filename and extensions you have both name and kind
of file, you can select the size of the page and the number of previews per
page and increase or decrease this effects the size of the preview.
When having this files for a folder it would be more obvious to have only
one dpi and color mode but that is just my own opinion
Anyway using Bridge filter to sort by ppi and color mode could easily group
them and with this you can add the info in the header or footer per file
I would like to print this report (or at least be able to create a pdf of it)
with:
Preview of the file
Name
Color mode
DPI
Kind

  • How do I make RoboHelp report missing graphics?

[RoboHelp 9]  Before building my CHM, I need to find out if any linked graphics are missing from the project's \graphics sub-folder. Is there any way I can make RoboHelp report missing graphics? The Broken Links report doesn't care if graphics are missing, only if hyperlinks are missing their targets. The Image Report just lists all the images referenced by the topics, but doesn't test if they are actually present in the required location.  And if I build the help, the OutputLog.txt does not report that an image was missing.  Any ideas how to detect missing images, before my CHM goes public?

While I agree, I feel that app developers are intentionally trying to mislead people. To play it fair, they should include the fact that it's a joke at the top of the app description.
This particular app, Phone Tracker GPS, does not at all mention it's a joke until the last sentence of the rather long description:
It's without a doubt the best joke you can play on them with your device! For entertainment purposes only and does not provide true device locator functionality.
I mean, why not just make it in fine print? All very desceptive in my opinion.

  • Query Builder List of Report Names & their corresponding Folder Names

    HI there,
I have in excess of 6000 reports deployed in my Crystal system.
I need to pull 2 sets of data:
    1. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names
    2. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names where:
           a) The destination for the schedule is set to Email
           b) The 'to" field contains any email addresses with the value @fcl.internal in them
Grateful for any assistance you can provide.
    Many thanks....Corinne

This is a challenge that will require multiple queries or an application using the the SDK.
To get the folder where a report is located, you'll need to query CI_INFOOBJECTS where SI_ID = the PARENT_ID value in the report.  To get the entire path, you'll have to "walk" up the PARENT_ID values until the value is 0, which is the root folder.
I'm not sure whether you can get to the SchedulingInfo properties in the report to filter based on your second requirement - I'm working on an application to pull this information in my "copious" spare time, but I haven't had the opportunity to get into that part of the application yet.
For some samples of code using the .NET SDK to do various thing, see my website at [www.dellstinnett.com/sample_code.html].  Code for walking the folder path is in the BOECommonInfo assembly.

  • Administrator can not move reports from users' favourites folder

    Hi,
I am using BO XIR2. With the Administrator account, I am not able to move the reports from favourites folders of users.
I tried giving all the rights to administrator for the favourites folder, but still the move option is disabled for reports.
I can move the folders inside favourites, but not individual reports inside that folder.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks and Regards

As for as i know, we can not move reports of users favorites folder. To control that remove the favorites options for users. So that they can save reports in folders only.
    Thanks,

  • Moving a report to a shared folder after scheduling .

    Hi,
I have a requirement that i need to move the report to a shared folder after it had scheduled. Can you please help me.
    Thanks.

Well, you'd have to delete the Movies folder before you could replace it, and deleting the Movies folder would also delete its contents, thereby making the replacement impossible. It's not really surprising that the Finder was confused.
Simple solution: rename the parent folder.

  • Crystal Reports with Graphical Linking on Multiple Data source

    Hello
I have a report which uses graphical linking on 6 tables/views which acts as the data source.
4 are on HANA and 2 on a legacy system.
Record selection filters are applied to filter data.
Report's performance is incredibly slow on running for higher date ranges even for less than a month bringing back < 10000 records.
Please suggest any tips to improve this.
    already tried below :
    Checked no printer option
Removed Page N of M control
Changed Order links to pick small tables first
Crystal Reports 2013 connecting via ODBC to HANA and legacy
    -Jayakrishnan

    Hi Jayakrishnan,
When you join tables from multiple datasources, CR processes the joins and any record selection criteria locally. This is what slows down the report.
The only way to speed up performance is to have all the data atleast come from the same database or even better, creating a view that has all the required tables and joins.

  • Produce report NOT based on a single sql statement

I want to produce a tabular report based on a series of sql statments. Specifically, a report of managers that wil include counts of employees that are in other tables using differing criterias.
    Name Count Count
    using using
    criteria 1 criteria 2
    Manager1 35 242
I would expect to write an anonymous pl/sql block with a driving cursor determining the managers to report on. Within that cursor, I would execute a number of other queries to derive the count for each of the two columns.
I have tried creating a report region based on a sql statement, but that requires a single sql statement. I also tried creating a report region based on plsql, but it required an into statement of defined items. This option looks like it can provide multiple rows, but since it selected 'INTO' named fields, it only creates a report with the last row of data.
I must be missing something. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!

If you want a wizard to create the form and report for you then yes you need to have a table. One thing that you can do is define a view that contains the data you need and define an Instead Of trigger on that view so the automatic fetch and dml will work but you can have the data stored into the different objects. basically the view and the trigger work as a router/dispatcher for the data.
    *edit*
I should also add that you can write a pl/sql package which does the fetch and the dml operations with the form items as input. This is the solution I would typically use for any form that was not a simple CRUD form for a table. One thing to note is for the fetch I prefer to use out parameters for the form items so it requires the developer to map the item to the param in the app so it will show up when you are searching through the app. I highly discourage hiding item references inside of packaged code.
    Good Luck!

  • Producing report sections based on data with previous sections

I'm designing a event tracking report where you provide the event number to the report through a parameter, which then gets the corresponding event data.
This then has to use the previous event number that was retrieved by said event number to get the next lot of event data and so on until it reaches a event that has a previous event number of 'NA' meaning no more events.
So my question is how can i achieve this within crystal reports?
I was using a parameter that could hold the multiple event numbers that resulted from a tracking search with in visual basic, and that worked fine, but i now realize that with another report that i have to produce with multiple starting events that all have to be tracked in the one report.
For this i was just going to use a sub report within the details section but because i don't know how many sub reports would have to be produced i can't allow for enough parameters to pass the list of events in the way i was previously doing it, thus i have to let the report do the tracking for me.
Google hasn't returned anything that would provide a solution to this problem, so any help would be gladly recieved

I have decided to use a dataset for this where i populate it with all the events with all their traces and give each set of traced events a number, then in crystal load this dataset and group by the trace number and sort my the event number to get them in order.
This should give me the required output, but I'm having trouble implementing the dataset with crystal reports, i have maked a strongly typed dataset and populated it with columns, then get all the data for the traces and add that to a dataset using the strongly typed dataset as a template.
Then create the report as an object and assign the report source as the dataset and pass it to the crystal report viewer
Unfortunately this does not have any resulting data produced on the crystal report
      Dim objRpt = New Trace_Report
            objRpt.SetDataSource(Plant_Report_Data)
            With Trace_Report__Form
                .CrystalReportViewer1.ParameterFieldInfo = paramFields
                .CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = objRpt
                .WindowState = FormWindowState.Maximized
                .ShowDialog()
            End With
    Any ideas?

Thank you so much for your help. I used event driven pulishing and needed to install SRW package on my infra database and it is working good now.
One thing I am struggling with sending pdf reports to another server. I could create a pdf at runtime, but needed to send to another server for storage. I could set up the desname parameter to store the pdf in the same report server by using the following code
    PORTAL.srw.add_parameter(myPlist, 'DESNAME', 'c:\Report\abcd');
but to store in a different server I don't know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated

  • Problem running reports with graphics in 11i

    Hi,
I have developed some custom reports (using
Reports 6i) with graphics charts embedded within them. I would like to display the output from within Oracle Applications 11i.
There seem to be two approaches:
    1. Invoke the report from Oracle Self-Service using OracleOasis.runReport
    2. Register the report as a concurrent request (with HTML/PDF output) and run it using the concurrent manager
Approach 1 requires the reports server cgi which I start using adrepctl.sh. Approach 2 requires the concurrent manager which I start using adcmctl.sh.
The problems start to occur depending on how and from where I start these scripts. The exact problem occurs in both cases.
    If these scripts are started:
    1. From a regular telnet window from a windows NT box
The reports error out with a REP-3000 internal toolkit error
    2. From an Exceed xterm session and I keep the Exceed session alive (I tried both TrueColors and PseudoColors settings)
The reports work but there are problems with the output - pie colors do not appear (everything is white, for e.g.), etc.
    3. From the Sun Solaris console
    The reports work fine.
The problem is that method 3 is not very convenient since every time I bring down the concurrent manager or reports cgi server, I need to walk to a different building (where the Sun boxes are) to start it.
Method 2 above isn't particularly great either (even assuming I can get it to work) since I need to have an exceed session running all the time.
Can some one offer suggestions to solve the problem I'm having? Even clues on why method 2 above is not working as expected would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    - NR

Problem solved! As long as the xhost + is set on the host machine and some one is logged in, it appears that one can simply set the DISPLAY environment variable to point to the host (even from a simple telnet window) and start the reports server or concurrent manager. Looks like you also have to have REPORTS60_NO_DUMMY_PRINTER set to "YES".

  • Issue migrating reports with Graphical features.

    Hi guys,
I am working on migrating reports from 10g to 11g and I have an issue with the reports which contains a Graph. They are giving the following error when I run them against the 11g report server(they are running fine against the 10g server with out any issues)
    The report terminated with error:
    REP-56048: Engine rwEng-1 crashed., job Id: 24.
I have searched on Google, for a solution to fix them, the closest I found was Installing Oracle Graphics 6i engine in a separate Oracle Home, but this was said for 9i and 10g, you can find that in the below oracle document:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/reports/graph-faq-with-style-094084.html#q101
Does anyone know, if I can Install Oracle Graphics 6i engine in a separate Oracle Home for 11g too?, to make them work at least, if not modifying the existing ones?
    Thanks,
    Sona.

    Hi Sona,
unfortunately installing Graphics 6i in a separate OH for 11g wont work. This option was only possible until Reports 10g as a temporary option while migrating to the new BI beans graphing functionality included in 10gR2 and 11g.

    Migrating Oracle Graphics 6i charts
How do I migrate my charts from Oracle Graphics to the new graph format in Oracle9i Reports or Oracle Reports 10g?
Oracle9i Reports Release 1 onwards, Oracle Graphics has been desupported. Oracle9i Reports and Oracle Reports 10g use BI Beans to generate graphs. Because of the underlying technology, there is no direct migration path from Oracle Graphics to the BI Bean graphing functionality. As such, the user will need to rewrite all of their graphs using the new Graph Wizard within the Reports Builder.
    Top of Page
Can I still run my existing Oracle Reports Developer 6i reports containing Oracle Graphics charts in Oracle Reports?
As noted in the Oracle Reports Statement of Direction, Oracle Graphics is no longer shipped with Oracle Reports. However, as part of the migration path, you can still run Oracle Graphics charts in Oracle Reports if you install the Oracle Graphics 6i engine in a separate Oracle Home. You should only maintain Oracle Graphics 6i as a temporary measure while you redesign your charts using the new Graph Wizard. For further details on how to configure Oracle to use Oracle Graphics 6i, please see the Graphics Migration section in the Oracle9i Application Server Migration from Oracle9iAS Release 1 (1.0.2.2.x) to Release 2 (9.0.2) manual.
    Top of Page
Can I modify or add Oracle Graphics 6i charts to my reports with Oracle9i Reports or Oracle Reports 10g?
No. You must have a separate installation of Oracle Graphics 6i Builder in order to modify your existing Oracle Graphics 6i charts since Oracle Graphics is not shipped with Oracle Reports. We strongly recommend that you migrate your charts to the new standard in Oracle Reports.
    Thanks, RZ

  • Automatically produce Reports output via Portal

    Hi.
I'm new to Oracle Portal, so please excuse if I ask a stupid question.
We have some Oracle Report Builder reports, which we'd like to automate (automatically produce the output for the users). Is there some way of defining it in Portal so that it automatically via URL's or something runs these reports to produce the output automatically ?
If not, then I suppose we'll probably be using CRON to automate them....
    Thank you.
    Marcel

    Hi,
All the components have something have called the batch mode which submits this job
to the job queue. This option also stores the results in the database for a period
of time which you can change. You can see if this helps.
