Producer Folio Organizer

I can not publish my project, I installed the trial indesign cs 5.5, but the softwareFolio Producer assemblase Organizer for the pages and
publish the project to be loaded on ipad not find it installed.
Folio from the builder did not understand how to export my project iol.
But it can only be used online payment Folio Producer and Organizer?
Before you use Digital Content Bundler.

By the way, here is monday nightmare: I just shared 51 folios with my customer, using Folio Producer.
Every Adobe Engineer should have done this once in his life to be convinced how the Organizer in 'user-unfriendly'...

  • How to produce folio files with 5.5?

    After combing through these forums to understand the differences between 5.5 with and without DPS, I was under the impression that I could produce a folio file using 5.5, but without having to invest in DPS by saving the folio to an acrobat.com account. I went ahead and upgraded, but now when attempting to produce a folio file, it asks me to log in to DPS. Am I missing something, or is Adobe really that ******?
    I'm at a non-profit university, and we want to be able to produce interactive presentations for the ipad, but cannot afford DPS prices for something that will be uploaded to only one device.

  • Folio producer, folio builder

    Having problems with my tools, they've stop working, so going to reinstall everying again, cant remember do we still have to install the folio producer and folio builder in order, and if so which one should be installed first, thanks!

    sorted now, wasted nearly 2 hours, messing about unistalling Indesign, re-install from disk, them update to the latest version, install the extensions a couple of times. So yet more time lost to fixing DPS, how much did I pay for this licence again??
    Hmmm, I could really go on grumbling about this, may be I'l start tweeting about all of the problems, or may be I'll be a good boy
    and not rock the boat too much, (eh Zeke!!)

  • Error when updating in folio producer

    When I try to update my folio in Folio Producer I got the following message;
    "An error has occurred while updating the folio on the distribution server.
    Failed to get folio catalog."
    What could be the issue?

    This sounds like unexpected behavior related to your specific account or folio.  If you are willing to contact me off of the forum, I will arrange for further investigation of this problem.  Please provide the following information when you contact me:
    1. The user name of the account you are attempting to publish from.
    2. The folio name you are trying to update.  A screen shot of the row in the Folio Organizer may be the simplest way to show us which one.

  • Help installing Folio Producer

    I need some help installing the Folio Producer/Folio Builder.
    When trying to open up the Folio Builder extention in InDesign CS5 it's telling me an update is required, "click here to download folio producer"....which I have done. I read up to see if anyone else is having the same issue and there were a few fixes suggested but none of them worked for me.
    I tried:
    1. making sure everything was updated
    2. uninstalling and reinstalling
    3. Uninstalling and making sure Folio was installed before Builder
    None of these solved the issue. Does anybody have any other ideas on what I can do to get this working correctly?
    Any help/suggestions would be great.

    I had that issue with indesign cs5.5, i have reinstalling indesign and i resolve it.

  • Folio has disappeared from Viewer

    I'm producing a mag using the latest production tools (previously I was using Drop 10)
    Basically, my folio hasn't updated (although it's updated fine through InDesign's Folio Builder) - the updates have not transferred to the Adobe Viewer app even though I'm logged in correctly in Safari / Indesign / Adobe Viewer...
    I thought it may have been a problem with the viewer, so I deleted the app and re-installed it - hoping that would cure any hiccups.
    Except the folio has disappeared now... (even though I can see the bloody thing perfectly well in the Folio Organizer through Safari...)
    Any tips?

    If you used the newest tools, they are not compatible with the viewer version on iTunes. Unfortunately Apple drags their feet when it comes to approving the viewers.

  • Folio Builder Question

    If I install the Folio Producer tools for CS5 can I still preview folios on my iPad without having purchased the Digital Publishing Suite?

    As far as I can tell the reason you purchase the Digital publishing suite is to be able to produce commercial publications. I'm not sure if there is a plan for non commercial or internal publications.
    The way I understand it is that you produce in InDesign and providing you have the directory structures and file names and other stuff sorted you can buiild your folio on adobe.com provided you can login though I just noticed tonight when I tried it that on the free service you can only have 1 folio.
    You can share with people, again you are limited with the free service and they have the content viewer on their device and can  download and view.
    I may be wrong and I am having some issues getting this whole process to wok (see my other post) where it was working before when I was producing folio files with the previous version and side loading them through iTunes

  • In my .ipa viewer builder i can see free folio but not retail folio

    here's my prob: i am testing my viewer app for a multifolio subscription app. I can see the free issue but not the retail issue. I checked probably all the possible probs: in app purchase and retail folio have same ID, i logged out from iTunes and created a test account for the purchase. But after i tested and downloaded the free issue and loaded in the folio organizer the retail folio, nothing else appears in my .ipa...
    Any help would be soooooo appreciated

    ok, solved (but i'll leave the thread on, so it might be useful to anyone else): the problem was about IDs. Bundle ID was different from folio ID (i mean com.company.publication). They HAVE to be exactly the same

    Each time (more than 20 times attempts have been.)
    After receiving up to 5 mega

    Each sign will fail.

    What causes, and how to solve?

    I am working with Primavera software (project manager application), populating data with project data is done using the tools provided. We have done it million times well, in use we're using WE8ISO8859P1, we are using WE8ISO8859P15 in western europe where I am. I personally have done this against WE8ISO8859P15 many times, and no problem so far till today.
    I had this kind of problem before with WE8ISO8859P1 or other non euro supported character set, and solved by reimporting to new database with correct WE8ISO8859P15.

  • Folio sign-in problems

    As suggested in another thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5122457#5122457) I'm posting my specific case here.
    I was not able to sign into DPS via the folio builder within InDesign. It just failed silently. After speaking to our network admins, I managed to get my PC enabled to bypass our corporate firewall temporarily, then disabled my proxy settings with Internet Explorer, and was then able to login without any issue.  After I was blocked through the firewall, I can no longer log in (as expected).
    I'm on Windows, and our internal proxy authenticates via Active Directory.
    It is not a workable solution to have any users that want to produce folios having full direct access through the firewall, so the two options I see to make this work are:
    1. Get folio producer working through an authenticating proxy
    2. Allow through our firewall all of the possible Adobe servers (sort of defeats the purpose of a firewall, especially considering the number of servers that would be required)
    I'll be happily corrected if there is anoter solution out there..

  • Folio price not displaying

    Hey guys,
    Testing a new magazine app wired with Entitlement and iTunes Subscription.
    Unfortunately, in the app library, the price for the published retail folio does not appear in the button below the folio thumbnail. A download button displays instead. Anyone know why?
    Couple of points worth noting, before the questions come:
    iTunes Connect
    • In-app purchase (IAP) has been created in iTunes Connect
    • IAP "Cleared for Sale" option is set to "Yes"
    • IAP subscription family and individual subscription IAPs have been created
    • App and IAP have not been submitted to Apple for review
    • IAP status reads "Ready to Submit"
    • iTunes Connect > Tax & Banking info is up to date (though "Contact Info" option still says "Set Up" ... wondering if this is the problem?)
    • Subscription IAPs have been successfully tested in dev app using new iTunes Connect Test User (which means Shared Secret works)
    Folio Producer
    • Folio published as Retail
    • Folio uses same Product ID as iTunes Connect IAP
    iPad > Settings
    • Have tested while being logged into Settings > Store with and without Apple ID 
    Any theories? Any chance the price will not show until Apple has approved the initial app and IAP?

  • How to delete folio from pre-release?

    Hello, on some accounts we still have folios from pre-release, created with Content Bundler. How we can delete this folios?

    Hi Martin,
    I faced the same situation at one point and if I recall correctly, we uploaded the folio to the Folio Producer and then we built a new version of the app (with the latest Viewer Builder) and that new app pointed to the folio on Folio Producer.
    Oh and as far as I know, the old folios are still there, but the new app points to Folio Producer folio (and not the pre release).

    3)Intercompnay Invoice - sent from Producing company to Selling Company,Sales

    4)Invoice from Selling company to Final customer.
    I need to create Proforma Invoice belonging to Producer Sales Organization with referance to Delivery.
    The problem is when I create the Proforma Invoice Sales organization and Pricing procedure is the one of Selling company.We need to have in Proforma Invoice Sales organization and Pricing procedure of Producing company.

    Example for our Intercompany flow case is :
    1)Order is created for 1000 (sales org) of selling company
    2)Delievry is created using the above order in sales org 1000 of selling company
    3)Intercompany Invoice is created in sales org 2000 of producing company
    4)I need to create proforma invoice in sales org 2000 with Pricing procedure of 2000
    The Main problem is that Sales org in Proforma invoice is determined as 1000 of Selling company.Since Sales area is one of the parameters used  to determine  Pricing procedure I need to have Sales org 2000 in Proforma invoice.
    Could You please propose me solution to determine correct Sales org 2000 in Proforma invoice.
