Determine of Tax Code for Country/Product Category - Table handling

Dear Experts,
in SRM 7.0, CS, i am facing the following requirement regarding tax codes:
We have users from different countries using SRM. These different countries have different tax codes that are to be used for legal reasons.
My question is, how i can achieve a system behaviour, by which in the shopping cart, the correct tax codes gets selected automatically, based on the country of the user, who is creating the shopping cart.
Question 1:
Is it correct to assume, that this requirement can be achieved by maintaining the "Determine of Tax Code for Country/Product Category" - Table?
Q2:
What is the purpose of the 1st column of the above mentioned table, "Domestic/International Indicator"? Can it be left blank?
Q3:
Is it possible to fill in the values for the field "Country" BUT to leave the field "Category ID" empty???The reason for asking it, that otherwise several hundreds entries would have to be maintaind manaully...
Q4:
From where in the shopping cart or ppoma settings is the system fetching the Country code, in order to be able to use it in the table? Is there any specific attribute maintenance that has to be taken care of, so the above mentioned table can be used (e.g. delivery address, including the country information)?

Here are my responses to your questions:
Question 1:

Answer - If you have a requirement where different countries have different tax codes, then you do need this confiugration. Otherwise Configuraiton in Enter Tax Code are sufficient.
Q2:

Answer - Sometimes you have different codes for International and Domestic purchases for a product Category. IN those situations you can select Domestic/International field to differentiate btw tax codes. Otherwise this field can be left blank

Answer - No, if you enter country, then Category Id field is mandatory. You may enter * in case you dont have multiple backend systems. otherwise you will ve to ve individual entries for each category and backend system.

Answer - It is picked up from the address of the user where is will receive goods. and Domestic/International will be decided based on Vendor address with reference to thta address.

Product Planning Table

In the Product Planning Table (/SAPAPO/PPT1), Product View: Periodic we see the caption Make-to-Stock Production which is the Requirement strategy.How can we hide the caption (requirement strategy) in the PPT1.

In user setting in product planning table, go through Product 2 -> Forecast then you will find the row description section.
Delete the number marked in "Desc.plg strat.".

Af:table requires the managed bean to be in session scope?

I have let to figure out why af:table requires the managed bean to be in session scope if the af:table has the rows attribute set to anything else but zero.
I'm assuming that in order for the table to hold on and "page" through the range of records that it is a requirement...
Any details on how the under-pinnings really works, would be appreciated.

If you create a table model that you reference from an EL on the table's row variable then this should work with request scope as well. However, I think the problem you would run into is
- performance because the values are getting fetched with every page load
- state, because you would have to persist any change immediately to ensure the next query brings up the change values

Co-Product Palnning issue

Just one help required on one issue
My client requirement is regarding co-product planning
I will explain the scenario
Suppose we hav etwo products A & B which are finished materials.
A Has component X in its BOM
B has component Y in its BOM.
X is also semi finished material and Y is the co-product.
Client requires that when MRP run is carried on B and Y is not in stock , system should generate planned order for X so that Y will also be formed as co-product as if planned order for Y is formed, it is of no use as it is co-product.
I request you to suggest some options to meet the client requirements

For co product u can not create any order. if u want co product is to be planned then u should bring it out from co product. and maintain MRP type PD then if y is not in ur stock it will be planned. But as a co product u cant have any planned order/production order for this

Which CS 6 Production Premium system requirements are "hard" requirements?

Which of the published CS 6 Production Premium system requirements are "hard" requirements--in other words, those for which installation will not proceed if they're not met?
I'm particularly interested in the hard drive speed, and I'm wondering if it will install on a 5400 RPM drive, because I'd like to run it on a laptop.
I realize that a laptop is not a recommended architecture for this, but it's not for professional use; I'll just be doing some home movies and occasional PhotoShop stuff.

You should be able to install & run CS6 programs, but for video editing you REALLY need a second 7200rpm hard drive for all your project and video and temporary video work files
Trying to edit with only one, 5400rpm drive, will be an exercise in frustration

You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions

You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything

Inputs or tables required for customizing purchase register

      I have encountered a problem regarding Purchase Register.
The requirement of the Client is that, he wants to have the Tax Details populated in the Purchase Register with reference to Tax Code in the Invoice Screen.
This should happen, once the Client enters the Details related to Invoice Document in the Selection Screen.
I searched for Table and Field related to Tax code.
I found the Field for Tax Code and it is MWSKZ.
But, the Table is a Structure.
So, please guide me how to find the link so as to fetch the Tax Details with respect to Tax Code in the Invoice Screen?

Restricting user to maintain entries in production through table maintenanc

Dear All,
I have created one table maintenance generator.
I am sending entries of table to quality and production server through transport request.
But user can directly maintain the entries in quality and production server also.
I want to restrict user that he will not be allowed to maintain the entries directly in quality and production server and entries always go through transport request from development to quality and production server.
Any idea how to restrict user to maintain entries in quality and production server.
Any pointers will be helpful and appreciated.

Hi tarun,
for your requirement you have to create events(create new entry) in table maintanace generator for creating new entry.
create 05 event and give suroutine name as new_entry.
form new_entry.
message 'authorizatioh restricted for creating new entry' type 'E'.
or
create authorization objects then give authorization for perticular user for maintaining data in the table
by creating authorization objects.
endform.

Cartision product for table

Hi All,
Can we introduce cartision product in ODI interface?
For example
select empno,ename from emp,(select level nos from dual connect by level<=4)
where empno=7839;
It will show the four rows for empno=7839.
We did this thing through procedure which is populating staging table, then used interface for integration between staging area and target tables.
But there must be some solution in ODI so that we can genrate cartitsion product may be we are not aware about this.

Hi,
If your requirement it to produce a Cartesian product then grag and drop your 2 source table ( for example EMP and DEPT) table into your interface. ODI will automatically detect PK-FK relationship between those 2 table.
You will see the following join condition
EMP.DEPTNO=DEPT.DEPTNO
Goto the properties tab and check "Cross Join"
It will remove the above join condition and while loading the C$ table it will use some thing similar to following
select
     <column_name>
from     DEPT , EMP
where     (1=1)
which will produce a Cartesian product .
