Program MENUSYST modification

Hi,
We have added a new entry in the menu help. We have modified the program MENUSYST and added entry ZHLP ( custom help ) in the menubar.
Whenever we click this added menu system gives error saying that "transaction ZHLP doesn't exist" in ECC6.0 . It works fine in 4.6C.
In ECC60 program checks table TTREE and returns this message.
Please help.
Thanks in advance,
Abdul Raheem S

HI Abdul,
Don't modify the program.
Insted go to SE43 or SE43n and add the new menu you want to add to the SYSY menu.
Revert back if you have further query.
Reward points if useful.

Under general procedure, first try to study the need of that field in the business, may be the requirement can be changed if its not absolutly necessary.
You can also try to realize them the fact that this report is updating database so the changes how they reflect are not sure.
    Otherwise, customize it.

  • Payment program (RFFOAU_T)

    Hi,
Can any one please let me know the functionality of payment program and use of this program.
    Thanks in advance.

    Short text
Payment Medium for Australia - Bank Transfers/Debit Memo BECS
    Description
The program issues data medium exchange in BECS, the disk format used by Australian banks.
As well as the payment media, the accompanying payment advice notes, data medium accompanying sheets and payment summaries can also be printed in one program run.
    Requirements
    Payment Program Configuration
The parameters that control the way in which the payment medium programs function are configured in Customizing. For more information on configuring the payment program, refer to the Implementation Guide.
    Configure payment program
    1. Here you need to make specifications for the paying company code. To do this, select the relevant paying company code by choosing Paying Company Codes ->.
If payment advices are to be printed, define a SAPscript payment advice form for use with all company code payment methods. You will find the form F110_IN_AVIS as an example in the standard system.
You need to create and enter text modules in which the texts for the header, footer, signature and sender are stored. These modules can be included in the forms when they are used. To do this, choose Sender Details, from where you can also branch into text maintenance by selecting the modules. The names of the text can be defined by the user, for example F_0001_HEADER for the letter header in company code 0001.
    Proceed
    2. Here you need to allocate the name of the payment medium program RFFOAU_T to the payment method to avoid incorrect payment media being issued with another program by mistake.
To do this, first choose Payment methods in country, then select the country of your paying company code and the payment method you require, and then maintain the data necessary for printing the form.
    Proceed
    3. Here you need to make company code specifications for the payment method. To do this, choose Payment Methods In Company Code, then select the paying company code and the payment method. In this menu maintain the following data by choosing Form data or Payment Advice Control:
The SAPscript form for accompanying sheets (F110_AU_BECS in the standard system) as the next form (for DME).
    The issuer data.
    Sorting the correspondence.
    Sorting the line items.
    Proceed
Note: You should fill out the issuer specifications as follows:
    Line 1 Issuer's name (26 characters long)
    Line 4 Issuer's city
    4. You need to make further specifications for creating the payment medium in Customizing of the house banks. Select the relevant paying company code by choosing House Banks. In the maintenance of the house banks select your house bank and then maintain the required data via the button Data Medium Exchange. For more details refer to the online documentation for the relevant fields.
    Proceed
    Notes:
    a) Common BSB numbers, which give a bank a unique identification, must be maintained for Australian banks. This three-character abbreviation is defined in the publication 'BSB Numbers in Australia', and is entered in the SAP system as part of the DME data maintenance in the field Altern. bank ID.
    b) You need to maintain the lead days. The processing date (batch due date) is calculated from the posting date plus the lead days.
    c) The company number (user identification number) is also transferred from the house bank's DME data.
Setting up and changing the SAPscript forms (layout sets)
The following describes the layout of the SAPscript forms in brief. If the forms available in the standard system are sufficient for your requirements, you can skip this part of the documentation.
You can find further information on forms and the SAPscript editor in the guides on styles and form maintenance and word-processing in the SAPscript editor: Select the menu path Help -> SAP Library.
    1. When setting up SAPscript forms (layout sets), symbols are included in the text; these are then replaced by actual values when the payment medium programs are run. The fields which can be used for this are defined in the Repository and contained in the following structures:
REGUH Settlement data from the payment program
REGUP Edited invoice items from the payment program
REGUD Formatted data for printing the forms
SPELL Amounts and digits in words.
    FSABE Data on accounting clerk.
    2. If you want the document long text for an accounting invoice document to be printed on the payment advice form, you must make the following enhancement in element "Long text for invoice document" (specially designed for this purpose):
    /: DEFINE &TXT& := '&REGUP-BUKRS()&&REGUP-BELNR(RF0)&&REGUP-GJAHR&'
/: INCLUDE &TXT& OBJECT BELEG ID xyz
The text ID that you must enter for this text (xyz) is defined in the configuration menu and can be read from there. In the standard system, text ID 0003 is predefined for the payment advice information.
    Proceed
    3. Layout of the payment advice form (F110_IN_AVIS in the standard system)
    Pages
FIRST First page per payment advice
NEXT Subsequent pages if page overflow
EDI List of payment advice notes sent per EDI
LAST Form summary section per house bank

TOTAL     630 Sum total of fixed items
CARRYFWD  635 Carryforward at page bottom for page overflow
    FOOTER Letter footer
    SUMMARY Form summary section
    4. Layout of the data medium accompanying sheet (F110_AU_BECS in the standard system)
    Pages
    DME Accompanying sheet
LAST Form summary section for each house bank
    Windows and elements
    DOMESTIC  535 Accompanying sheet
Check that the SAPscript forms (layout sets) which you use have the layout described and, in addition, check that the forms are active (both in the original language as well as in all languages into which the forms were translated).
    Proceed
    Periodic processing
Before the payment medium programs can be started, the payment program run must have been successfully completed. Check the status of the payment run, or schedule the payment medium programs by specifying one or more variants.
    Proceed
Note: If you want to use th 'Payment document update' option, the payment documents must be updated between the time of the payment program run and the time of the payment medium program run.
    Output
    Forms and lists
Printout files are created per company code and house bank. These can either be printed via the print manager or immediately. Depending on the parameter you select, you can print out one or more of the following:
Accompanying sheet for the payment medium
Payment advice notes (if the information cannot be sent via EDI)
    Payment summary
    Error log
The number of output files is specified in the flow trace; this makes finding and allocating them within the print manager easier.
    Proceed
Note: If the program was started online, then you reach the print manager from the list by selecting one of the output files displayed.
    Payment Advice Notes
In addition to being able to print payment advice notes, you can also send these via EDI, fax or email.
    1. To send a business partner a payment advice note via EDI, you need to select the indicator Payment advice note per EDI and maintain the partner agreement on screen "Payment Transactions Accounting" in the master record.
    Proceed
Using an external converter, the IDoc created by the program can be converted into the EDI format you require (REMADV for example) and then sent.
    2. To send a business partner a payment advice note by fax or email, you must use the process interface 00002040 (Business Transaction Events) to define the selection of the message type (printout, fax or email). Before you can do this, however, you must have carried out the necessary technical (Basis) settings for faxing or sending emails.
Process interface 00002050 can also be used to change or configure the print parameters and the parameters for optical archiving for payment advice notes.
    DME
Data medium exchange in this case involves the creation of a file which corresponds to the rules of the credit institution in question for automatic payment transactions and which contains all the necessary payment information.
The information relevant for the payment medium (file format, creation data, payment amount in local currency, payment documents involved etc.) are stored in the system and can be called up via the DME manager.
Other functions of the DME manager are:
Downloading the file into your local (PC) file system
Displaying and printing the file contents
Generating a payment summary for the data medium
    Proceed
You will find further information about the structure of the data medium in the technical description.
    Output in the file system
If required, the file can be written into the file system. The file created can be copied onto a PC via the DME manager. When doing this, you should search for files by download since the data medium is not managed within the SAP System but has already been stored in the file system by means of the payment medium program.
    Proceed
If the file name is not to be specified by parameter, then it is generated by the program. It then consists of the disk format, date and time of creation as well as a consecutive number so that the file name in the file system is unique.
If the file name is specified by the user, then a consecutive number is likewise added for each program run. From an organizational point of view, however, you should make sure that already existing files are not overwritten.
Note: If you cannot find the file via the DME manager, then this can be due to the following reason: the directory which was written to when the payment medium program  was started (for example, in background processing), cannot be read online. Therefore you should choose a directory which can be written to and read by different machines.
Due to the above-mentioned problems and the affect this has an data security, it is advisable not to write data to the file system. It may be advisable to use this method in cases where the data medium file is 'picked up' from the file system by an external program to be passed on to the bank.
    Output in the TemSe
If required, the file created can be stored within the SAP System (stored in the TemSe and not in the file system), thus protecting it from unauthorized external access. You can download the file into the user's file system via DME management.
The name of the file to be created during the download can be determined when running the payment medium program; the contents of the file name parameter are stored in the management data and defaulted when running the download.
    Proceed
    User exit
You can modify the dataset for data medium exchange by using the user exit interface defined. You can, however, only change the fields of the DTAMAU0 structure.
    Creating a user exit
The print program calls up the EXIT_RFFOEXIT_210 function module. Please take the input and output parameters for the user exit from the function module interface.
    Proceed
Create an include file with the name ZXFORU32 to program the modifications required.
    Proceed
The file is included in the EXIT_RFFOEXIT_210 function module. Use the Enhancements transaction for activating or deactivating your user exits by activating or deactivating the RFFOX210 project affected.
    Proceed
    Error messages and error log
    Termination of processing
You can find out the reason why processing was terminated (for example, production run not yet carried out, form does not exist or is not active) by looking at the error message or the related long text.
    Internal SAPscript error
Check the layout of the forms. It must fulfil the above-mentioned conditions. You cannot, for example, create a bank transfer with the check print program, since bank transfers and checks have a completely different layout structure.
    Error log
If errors which do not terminate the payment medium program occur when creating the output, the system lists them in the error log. If such a log is created, you must look it over because only you can decide whether the payment medium or payment advices are useless due to the errors the system finds, and decide whether they must be recreated after the errors have been rectified.
During background processing, the system outputs the error log twice, in the flow trace for the job and in a printout file. The flow trace contains information on how to rectify the errors (from the error message long texts).
You can display the long text online by choosing the error log from the list of generated output files and then the error message in question.

    HI,
    Go thru this docu.
    <b>Changing The Screen During Runtime</b>
The attributes are assigned to the screen field when the screen is designed in full screen editor.  Such kind of assignment is static, which means that these attributes are fixed. But many times the need to change the attributes of the screen arises. And this has to be done during runtime.
    Need To Change Screen
There can be a requirement in the transaction that, certain fields on the screen
    Appear only in certain conditions.
Are in Change/display mode according to user inputs
Become mandatory subject to specific inputs.
Changes its format depending upon certain conditions.
    Modifying the screen
At the runtime, attributes for each screen field is stored in system defined internal table, with header line, called as SCREEN TABLE. It contains name of field and its attributes. This tab le can be modified during the runtime i.e. through module pool program. Screen table has following fields:
    Field Name           Length          Description
NAME               30               Name of screen field
    GROUP1          3               Field belongs to field group1
    GROUP2          3               Group 2
    GROUP3          3               Group 3
    GROUP4          3                  Group 4
    ACTIVE          1               Hide/Show
REQUIRED          1               Field input is mandatory
    INPUT          1               Enable/Disable
OUTPUT          1               Field for display only
    INTENSIFIED     1               Field is highlighted.
    INVISIBLE          1               Field is suppressed.
LENGTH          1               Field output length is reduced
DISPLAY 3D          1               Field is displayed with 3-D Frame
VALUE_HELP     1                             Field is displayed with Value help
E.g., SCREEN-ACTIVE     = 0   has the same effect as the following statements.
            SCREEN- INPUT       = 0.
            SCREEN-OUTPUT    = 0.
            SCREEN-INVISIBLE = 1.
The fields SCREEN-NAME and SCREEN-GROUP 1 through SCREEN-GROUP4 tell you which field and / or field group has the attributes.
You can assign up to 4 groups to a field.
You need to program screen modifications in module, which is processed during the event PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
`SCREEN’ is an internal table and, in order to change the field values, LOOP statement has to be used so that the header-line can be populated with the new values, changing the earlier values, the SCREEN table consisted for the specific screen. Finally the changed record in the header-line is NOT APPENDED, but is MODIFIED to the SCREEN table. That is, we first use `LOOP AT SCREEN’ and then assign the values. And finally PRIOR TO ENDLOPP give `MODIFY SCREEN’.
    PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE MODIFY_SCREEN OUTPUT.
    MODULE MODIFY_SCREEN.
      LOOP AT SCREEN.
        IF SCREEN-NAME = ‘SFLIGHT-CARRID’.
          SCREEN-INPUT = 1.
          MODIFY SCREEN.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    Thanks

  • Call module  pool program from report

    Hi,
Iam calling module pool program from a report, while passing values to module pool program, one of the field doesn't have parameter id, how to pass value to it. and also please let me know how to call module pool program.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance
    jog

    Hi Jog,
Module pool program can be run in background. Most of the BDC's are written on module pool programs and they run in the background.
Also regarrding copying the standard program, if you require to make the changes for every user then instead of copying the program make modification in standard program as copied program are much harder to maintain during support pack implementation or upgrade that modification to standard program.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Permanently disabling Modification Assistant

    Hi everybody.
Is there a way I can permanently disable the Modification Assistant for every custom development object I ever modify ?
The Modification Assistant is extremely annoying and the project has other means of dealing with change management.
The main issue Im facing is that everytime I use Find & Replace in a program, the Modification Assistant is switched on automatically for every include that is modified using Find & Replace. This also means that the next time I want to use Find & Replace, the includes with Modification Assistant switched on can not be modified until I switch it off, as they are locked.
Is there a way I can completely disable this annoying tool for custom development ? Or at least make sure it never gets switched on once I switch it off for an include.
    Thanks for any hints,
    Stano

I should have researched the problem a bit more.
It turned out the includes were a copy of SAP standard and had the source system in TADIR still 'SAP', so a quick mass change of source system was all that was necessary.

  • Modification best practice

    Hello all,
is it good practice to add enhancement point into SAP standard program via modification and then implement this point, if I need to add code where no enhancement point (impl / expl) is defined? Or would it be better to add the whole code via modification, like it was done in prev. releases?
    Thanks,
    Elko

Have you considered an implicit enhancement?  What is the codepoint that you're referring to?

  • Modification during upgrade

    Hello Friendz,
I modified an SAP standard program using modification assistant. If during upgrade still there are chances that this program will be overwritten then what exactly the function of modification assistant. And is there any way, how can we save our modification to be overwritten?
    Regards,
    Shabbar

    >>If I have modified anything without modification assistant, e.g. structure, would we still able to preserve modification during upgrade?
NO. Your changes will be overwritten by SAP
If you use Modification Assistant, you will have the option to retain/reset the changes using SPAU.
Otherwise, you will have to manually track your changes.

  • Macbook Pro Program space

    Hello Everyone one,
Since 3 days ago i keep getting this error when im on my macbook.
I have got no idea what is going on. normally i don't have got any problems. I almost have none programs open at one time. just illustrator or safari / chrome.
And several minutes later this screen pop ups, telling me to force stop programs and pausing everything which is open at that time. It says on your system is no program space available. i have got 40 GB of 120 GB. my RAM is 8 GB 1600 Mhz.
    Could anyone help me out?
    Greetings,
    Lars Luiten

There is excessive swapping of data between physical memory (that is, the memory chips on the logic board) and virtual memory (one or more files on the startup volume.) That activity is relatively slow and causes the whole system to be less responsive. It can happen for two reasons:
A long-running process with a memory leak (a kind of bug)
Not enough memory for your usage pattern
Please note that if the cause is a memory leak, installing more memory will not help. That's likely if you already have more than 4 GB of memory. Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
These instructions are for OS X 10.9 and later. Some details may be slightly different for earlier versions of OS X.
When you notice the swap activity, open the Activity Monitor application and select All Processes from the View menu, if it's not already selected. Select the Memory tab. Click the heading of the Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
    from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The processes named "Safari Web Content" render web pages for Safari. They use a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider them prime suspects.
Another process often implicated in memory leaks is "inkjet4" or "inkjet8," which is a component of the HP printing software. If it's present, force-quit the process in Activity Monitor to solve the problem temporarily. Empty the print queues in the Printers & Scanners preference pane (which has a slightly different name in each recent version of OS X.) If you don't use an HP printer, reset the printing system. Otherwise, if the problem is recurrent, update the software (which may not help) or contact HP support.
"Wired" memory should be a small part of the total. That memory is not swapped, but it makes less physical memory available which may then result in swapping. If you have a lot of wired memory, that's usually an indication of a memory leak in a third-party program that modifies the operating system at a low level. Ask for guidance in that case.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

As for links to locally defined database tables, that will depend on what the keys defined in SE11 are e.g. there will be a primary key plus relationships to other tables (for example "WERKS LIKE YSDA_EXP_PRTLOG-YY_PLANT" indicates YY_PLANT relates to T001W).

  • How do i allocate more memory to my iphoto application? i am unable to add more photos to my library  i keep getting a pop up saying not enough memory in my application

how do i allocate more memory from my hd to my iphoto application? i have over 80 gb on my hard drive, but only 1.7 gb allocated to my iphoto application & i am unable to add more photos to my library.  i keep getting a popup that says not enough application memory.

Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
These instructions are for OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks.") The procedure may be slightly different for earlier versions of OS X.
Empty the print queues in the Printers & Scanners preference pane (which has a slightly different name in each recent version of OS X.) If you don't use an HP printer, remove the software.

  • Low system memory issue - caused by Mail?

While I was at work, my wife was using our iMac at home, and she said that a weird error dialog appeared this afternoon that asked her to quit applications, following which the system became unresponsive.
When I came home I found that a lot of running applications were in a hung state (unresponsive and required a Force Quit) so I rebooted the iMac.
I looked in the Console and saw that at 15:39:37 today two errors started repeating at an enormous rate - something like 5000 times per second for the next 5 seconds:
      12/02/2015 15:39:36.373 Mail[226]: *** Assertion failure in -[MCSocket readBytes:maxLength:error:], /SourceCache/Mail/Mail-2070.6/MailCore/Networking/MCSocket.m:469
12/02/2015 15:39:36.381 Mail[226]: exception parsing IMAP response: trying to read/write concurrently
...then at 15:39:42 the rate suddenly decreases to only about 10 errors per second. This continued for a further 15 minutes, until at 15:55:22:
      12/02/2015 15:55:22.000 kernel[0]: low swap: suspending pid 226 (Mail)
      12/02/2015 15:55:22.590 loginwindow[797]: -[ProcessPanel(lowMem) initAsLoMemPanel] | Lo-Memory panel initializing
...then lots of errors like this:
      12/02/2015 15:55:23.000 kernel[0]: memorystatus_thread: idle exiting pid 999 [com.apple.MailSe]
      12/02/2015 15:55:24.000 kernel[0]: memorystatus_thread: idle exiting pid 1000 [com.apple.InputM]
      12/02/2015 15:55:25.000 kernel[0]: memorystatus_thread: idle exiting pid 269 [com.apple.intern]
So it looks to me like the Mail app went haywire, the Mac ran low on memory, so OS X made some kind of "Lo-Memory panel" appear to handle it.
A quick search in Google Images revealed that there is such a thing as an OS X low memory error - the exact text of which is "Your system has run out of application memory. To avoid problems with your computer, quit any applications you are not using". It displays a list of running apps so you can quit them. The error looks something like this:
        http://i.imgur.com/HDplIwv.jpg
When I showed this picture to my wife she said that is exactly what she saw.
I will report this to Apple on their feedback page. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know. Obviously something that can bring down the entire system like this is not good.
