I have just had this same exception. The first project within the workspace worked fine, the second workspace had the exception. I've used this wizard several times before with success. I'm using 10.1.3.0.4 (SU5)
The "Model" project which worked has the following technology scopes:
    Ant
    Database
    EJB
    Java
    TopLink
    UML
The "User Interface" project which did not work has the following technology scopes:
    Java
    JSF
    JSP and Servlets
    1. Any ideas on what I can do to work around this problem?
    2. How can I help you debug this issue?

  • PDF Portfolio SDK setup - Navigator project wizard in Flex Builder 4.6 does not show

    Hello, Experts
    I am trying to build PDF Custom Navigator using Adobe PDF Portfolio SDK; however, for some reason, when performing step 3 of installation, Navigator project wizard in Flex Builder  (  4.6 ) would not show;
The plugins have been extracted to:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse\plugins
The NavigatorSupport folder has been extracted to:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse and ( just in case ) to
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\
any advice would be greatly appreciated
    Best Regards,
    -Alex

as per Joel's recommendation, used 4.5 instead - that worked just fine

  • Importing IProcurement project in JDeveloper

    Hi,
I am using Oracle APPS 11i.
    My JDEV_HOME_USER = C:\JDev\Jdeveloper9i\jdevbin\jdev\bin
I followed all the steps as mentioned in http://oracle.anilpassi.com/running-oa-framework-page-from-jdeveloper-audio-video-demo.html.
I copied the $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/icx folder from server to JDEV_HOME_USER\myclasses\oracle\apps
Also copied each folder in $ICX_TOP/mds into JDEV_HOME_USER\myprojects\oracle\apps\icx.
In JDeveloper, I created a connection and then a new OA workspace and a new OA project called icx. But I am not able to see the components/packages of icx folder or the other pages in my
new project. I tried opening/importing the icx folder into prjct, but it doesnt get the package hierarchy as mentioned in the videos. Just all the files are imported without the package hierarchy.
Could you please let me know what I am missing?
    -Naru

    Hi,
This might be a possibility. Please check..
Right click on projects in JDeveloper
Go to "Project Content" --> (check radio button)"Use Project Settings" --> (tab) "Include"
    1) Select "Include Content from Subfolders" option
    2) Check your corresponding folders are included or "All" option is present in the tab.
    3) Remove your folders if they are present in Excluded tab.
By setting this, you are governing the content, to be displayed in your current project.
    Regards,
    achapla.

Is this new develop page ?
you check these points for this issue.
    1. Check JDEV_USER_HOME
    2. Design a Test PG and test it first.
    3. Your OAF patch level: is 12.0.4 ? Are you running with r12?

  • Blog post : "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)"

    hi
Using steps 1 to 13 from the blog post "Bug in Create/Edit View Criteria Wizard (JDeveloper 11g)" by Andrejus Baranovskis, I have been able to reproduce the issue he describes.
    see http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2008/12/bug-in-createedit-view-criteria-wizard.html
I the blog post comments he writes "... there was no time for me to fill bug in Metalink ...".
Maybe someone from Oracle can pick it up from this forum post and file it as a bug if it is one (and if possible post the bug number here).
    many thanks
    Jan Vervecken

The mechanism is to create a reproduceable test case, create a Service Request in metalink.oracle.com, post the test case, and convince the analyst to file it as a bug.
It may be not efficient at some time, but this the way it is handled.

  • XMl parser version problem for running struts project in jdeveloper 10.1.3

    Dear All.
I am trying to run a struts (v 1.2.9) based project in Jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0.The struts version in Jdeveloper is 1.1.
when i am trying to run the index.jsp i get an error:
    org.xml.sax.SAXNotRecognizedException: http://apache.org/xml/features/validation/dynamic
I think the XML parser version is a problem.Jdeveloper has OracleXMLParser v2 and i think the XML Parser apis used in building the project is different.I have placedcustiom xml parser apis and the xerces.jar in the jdevbin/jdev/lib folder and included these jar in the bootclasspath as follows:
    AddVMOption -Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/xml-apis.jar
    AddVMOption -Xbootclasspath/p:../lib/xerces-2.6.2.jar
But even then the Exception persists. Is the syntax for Xbootclasspath wrong or i need to place these custom api's in some other location of jdev.
I am not being able to figure out the XMl parser problem.
    Any help wud be great.
Is it that i cant run the project in jdeveloper.Just to mention the application is deployed in OC4J on the server and runs fine..But its only that i kant run it locally through jdeveloper

I am also facing the same issue on my laptop. I searched for forum but no luck.
appreciate if anybody can throw some light on this.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.2.3 hangs when opening project from JDeveloper 11.1.1.6

Hello! I have a problem here which I can't solve. I also asked this question here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14365031/jdeveloper-11-1-2-3-hangs-when-opening-project-from-jdeveloper-11-1-1-6/14369211#14369211 . The whole story in short. I have a JavaEE client-server project in JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, where it works like a charm. Recently I had to upgrade JDeveloper version to the latest 11.1.2.3. The first problem was that the standard procedure of migrating project from the older version of JDeveloper to the newer one did not help: IDE was hanging forever all the time with no apparent (for me) reason, log file was silent about that. Then I tried another way: I just created the same project from the beginning and put there all necessary source files, libraries, set project properties etc. Still nothing, but now found the way to obtain a kind of error at least. I ran C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\bin\jdev.exe from the command line and got the following (e.g. when I started running debug):
    Jan 16, 2013 8:52:09 PM oracle.ideimpl.runner.StarterFactoryDescriptionImpl logError
SEVERE: Incorrect hash-structure value in starter-factory definition
    Jan 16, 2013 8:52:10 PM oracle.ideimpl.runner.StarterFactoryDescriptionImpl logError
SEVERE: Incorrect hash-structure value in starter-factory definition
But I don't know what could be the next step... Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance for your attention!

    Hi,
not sure if you have a support contract or work for Oracle. In both cases the best option is to file a bug (service request)

  • Eclipse open project wizard - OUAF SDK 4.1 install

After installing it for the 4th time, I give up. Please help me. (I start over with a saved image in case you wonder.)
I follow the install guide word for word:
    http://www.box.net/shared/z86acgmb57oi9lo8f312
When I finally get Eclipse to come up to open the project Wizard, I get this error message:
"The chosen operation is not currently available."
    http://www.box.net/shared/l09aar6q00nc52znq56p
Can someone please tell me what I am missing here?
I downloaded the correct version of Hibernate, renamed it, put in in the right folder, got all the other files from one location to the other. Does it have to be that complicated?
Sorry I am so frustrated but for the last week I did not get very far.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
Today I tried 2 more times with the exact same result. I believe there is something missing on the install guide as some of the screen prints are clearly not matching.
If someone has been able to successfully install this, I like to know how please.
I have made some notes just to be sure I follow along the install guide:

    Thank you for your reply.
I did not remove the JDK, I just added another version.
I am using the Eclipse version that is mentioned in the install guide that I should use.
    http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/release/galileo/sr2
If you suggest to try your version I will. May I ask what other steps you might have taken that I not in the install guide?

  • I am not able to create ESB project in Jdeveloper 11g

I tried to create ESB project in Jdeveloper 11g and not finding.
3.3.1 How to Create an ESB Project
After you have created an application, create the ESB project that will contain the ESB services using Oracle JDeveloper ESB Designer.
    To create an ESB project:
In the Applications Navigator, right-click the application to which you want to add a project and then choose New Project.
    The New Gallery opens.
Select ESB Project under General Projects, and then click OK.

Here is what i see in Jdeveloper help.
Comment: Questions on ESB configuration with demo, or specific steps to recreate ESB components of the demo, are described in the SOA Quick Start or Tutorial. ESB info in this guide is more of an overview of the process. Note that ESB is installed with SOA suite and that ESB does not need separate configurations and uses connections defined for the SOA demo

  • How to import existing eclipse Project to JDeveloper

    Hi,
previously I used to use Eclipse IDE. I have started to use Oracle JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 now. How can I import my existing Eclipse projects to JDeveloper? Please Note, I already have tried following options -
"Importing Existing Files into a New JDeveloper Project" from here - Working with Applications and Projects.
But, When I import the source files from existing Eclipse Projects to JDeveloper, I am not able to crease similar directory structure in the JDeveloper(in Application Navigator). As a result, I can not use my existing ANT build script to build my project[Though JDeveloper build my project, but I want to use manual ANT build.]
Moreover I don't want to change my existing directory structure as I am working on and existing project and I need to synchronize to my repository(Apache SVN).
Can any one help me in this - How can I import existing Eclipse Project to JDeveloper? Without any significant change in directory structure.
    Best Regards
    Chandramoulee

Well there are two options - if you have a WAR file with the code in it, then you can use the file->import WAR.
Or you can use the new->Project from source code.
Note that you'll probably need to do some library settings and some directory setting after that.
Have a look at this demo for basic steps:

  • Project Server 2010 - Import Project Wizard - Local Resource Import Error

Using Project Server 2010 SP2 with admin rights when I encountered the following error:
    Steps:
Upon importing a local mpp file with Import Projects Wizard
Mapped Resources.  Some were mapped to enterprise resources and others were left as local.
Following completion of import process (mapped task fields, and save), the resources that were marked as "keep as local" were imported to the server as enterprise resources.
I have never encountered this issue with previous versions of project server and am wondering if anyone else has run into the same issue and if there is a patch?  The error is consistently repeatable and I will check utilizing the account
of someone without admin rights to see if it happens there as well.
It appears that in proceeding to validation step, the import field is automatically defaulted to Yes when proceeding to step 2.  If the user doesn't manually flag this back to No, then the resource is imported to project server.

    Hi Luis,
I just ran a quick test and I couldn't reproduce your issue with PS2010 SP2. My local resources have been kept as local resources after the import process whereas the resources with a similar name than enterprise resources have been mapped with enterprise
    resources.
Not sure which CU I have but I'd suggest you to upgrade to the
    latest CU.
    Hope this helps,

  • Migrating projects from JDeveloper 10.1.2 to JDeveloper 11g

    Hi,
We are currently still making use of JDeveloper 10.1.2.2 to develop/maintain JSP/Struts/ADF 10.1.2 applications. Will it be possible to migrate these projects directly from JDeveloper 10.1.2 to 11g with the final production version when it is released?
Would I be correct in assuming that the development/maintenance of JSP/Struts 1 based applications will still be possible in JDeveloper 11g so that we can first migrate the projects from 10.1.2 and then focus on changing the view technology over a longer timeframe?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Graeme.

    Hi,
The first two questions were a bit average - obviously still finding my way around. The answer to the 2nd question appears to be yes. However, I have not found anything official for the first question.
I have managed to migrate one of our basic struts projects from JDeveloper 10.1.2.2 to 10.1.3.4. However, following a similar procedure to migrate to 11g I get the following failure when trying to run the application in the embedded and internal servers.
oracle.security.jazn.JAZNRuntimeException: JBO-26001: XML File not found for the Container /null/DataBindings.cpx

    etc...
The DataBindings.cpx file is available in the WEB-INF/classes directory.
Would anyone be able to tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thank you.
    Graeme.

  • In ejb3.0 project, wizard for new EJB Session Bean 3.0 doesn't come up

When I try to create a EJB 3.0 SessionBean, I get the following error:
The selected wizard could not be started.
    Reason:
Plug-in com.sap.ide.j2ee.ui.ejb was unable to load class com.sap.ide.j2ee.ui.ejb.wizard.SessionBeanWizard
    Details:
    com/sap/j2ee/ui/ejb/wizard/SessionBeanWizard (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
Note: As seen in the thread below, I have just re-installed the appserver and dev studio: EJB 3.0 project wizard does not come up

    Hi Makarand,
The message "Unsupported major.minor version 49.0" implies that you are running with JDK version < 1.5. Please check in your workspace\.metadata\.log file - there should be some entries like:
    java.version=1.5.0_07
    java.vendor=SAP AG
BTW, have you started the NWDS from the Start Menu -> Programs -> SAP NetWeaver -> SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio? If you are using C:\SAP\DevStudio\eclipse\SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.exe directly it could be that it finds some older JRE installed on your machine.
    Hope that helps!
    -Vladimir
