Prolem with the hgrow constraint on a Column in a GridPane

Hello,
I am displaying the following controls in a GridPane.
1. In row 1, a Label, a TextField, and a Button
2. In row 2, A Label
3. In row 3, a TextArea
4. In row 4, a Label
The complete program is at the end.
Question #1:
When I set the hgrow to ALWAYS for the first column through the statusBar Label control, the first column does not grow. Is it a bug or am I missing something in the JavaDoc to explain this behavior? When I set the hgrow constraint to ALWSY on nameLbl, it works.
Question #2:
Why is the nameLbl not getting enough width to display it completely?
Thanks
Kishori

    ya that's true row is referenced by another table.....but i want the row to referred by another table ,I don't know how to fix it
    Actually this is not a C# issue. It is a T-SQl issue.

    The above link should be posted.
    Per my understanding, first you should
    delete the record from the Foreign Table and then after you have to delete the record from the Primary Key table
    Hope it helps you.

  • Displaying Document Name With The Summary in a Single Column Using Document Library View.

    Hi All,
    I have a question that relates to SharePoint Document Library Views. I want to view the Documents name with the summary in a single column. Below image shows an example of it. I need this within a SharePoint Document Library. Also I want the height of the
    row to be increased more than the default height. I cannot figure it out how to do that? Could you someone help me to do this. I have inserted the Document Library as an App Part to the page.
    So could you someone help me to solve this matter?
    Thanks and regards,

    HI Chiranthaka,
    You can create DataView webpart using SPD and then modify the display template according to your need.

  • Update other items with the same value when when column contains Y

    CREATE TABLE TEST

         "AMOUNT" NUMBER(17,2),
         "ERRORRED" VARCHAR2(16 BYTE),
         "PO" VARCHAR2(12 BYTE),
         "LINE" VARCHAR2(10 BYTE),
         "SEQ" VARCHAR2(14 BYTE),
         "INVOICE" VARCHAR2(16 BYTE)
    Insert into TEST (PO,QUATINTY,AMOUNT,ERRORRED,LINE,SEQ,INVOICE) values ('123',5,50,'Y','1','1','inv1');
    Insert into TEST (PO,QUATINTY,AMOUNT,ERRORRED,LINE,SEQ,INVOICE) values ('123',5,50,null,'1','2','inv1');
    Insert into TEST (PO,QUATINTY,AMOUNT,ERRORRED,LINE,SEQ,INVOICE) values ('125',5,50,null,'1','1','inv2');
    Insert into TEST (PO,QUATINTY,AMOUNT,ERRORRED,LINE,SEQ,INVOICE) values ('125',4,50,null,'1','2','inv2');If you notice by the table above what im trying to acomplish is update the errorred column with 'Y' if any of the po and invoice are the same and have a 'Y' on the errored column.
    in other words, i should end up with 'Y' in the errorred column for INV1.
    Can someone point me in the right direction i cant for the life of me figuered this one out.

    Hi,
    Here's one way:
    UPDATE     test
    SET     errorred     = 'Y'
    WHERE     NVL (errorred, 'N') != 'Y'
    AND     (po, invoice)          IN (
                              SELECT  po, invoice
                         FROM      test
                         WHERE      errorred  = 'Y'
    ;This assumes that po and invoice are not NULL. If either column can be NULL, then the solution might be a little messier, depending on the results you want, but only a little. Post some sample data (with NULLs) that shows what kinds of situations you need to handle, and the results from that sample data.

  • How to add a check constraint to a column to accept values in the following format: "L214"?

    All I could come up with is this:
    check (column_name like '____');
    But That doesn't enforce the first character to be a letter and the other three to be numbers.

    Hi,
    "PS: Why the f***you have so many subforums here?"
    Because it is much easier to seperate and let experts answer to specific details of SQL Server. SQL Server is not a small product as many people think ;-)
    Here is the solution:
    CREATe table SampleA (A INT, B VARCHAR(MAX) CHECK (B LIKE '[A-Z][0-9][0-9][0-9]'))
    INSERT INTO SampleA VALUES (1,'0000')
    Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 2
    The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "CK__SampleA__B__38B96646". The conflict occurred in database "master", table "dbo.SampleA", column 'B'.
    The statement has been terminated.
    INSERT INTO SampleA VALUES (1,'L000')
    --(1 row(s) affected)
    INSERT INTO SampleA VALUES (1,'L0001')
    Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 2
    The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "CK__SampleA__B__38B96646". The conflict occurred in database "master", table "dbo.SampleA", column 'B'.
    The statement has been terminated.

  • How to change the values of Map Region Column "REGION_NAME"

    Hi guys,
    To correspond with the values in my "CITY" column, I have to change the values of Region_name column in the map..
    region_name column contains the name of the territories in English
    but City column in my table contains the names of the territories in Arabic.
    To enable the link of the map, the values of both column ( CITY in my table, REGION_NAME in the map region ) should be identical.
    How can I change the values of REGION_NAME COLUMN ???
    This is the first time for me I deal with maps, and I hope my question is clear..
    Regards,
    Fateh

    Solved by using the following code
    var particulars = this.parent.COURSENAME.resolveNode("#items");
    this will bring the dropdown list into the variable particulars
    then
    for (var i = 1; i < particulars.nodes.length; i++)
    p = particulars.nodes.item(i);
    here p.value will have the dropdown line by line;
    add your valdiations etc

  • How to fix "Modifying a column with the 'Identity' pattern is not supported"

    When doing Code First Migrations my mobile service always errors in the seed method with: 'Modifying a column with the 'Identity' pattern is not supported. Column: 'CreatedAt'. Table: 'CodeFirstDatabaseSchema.Methodology' for the CreatedAt column. All my
    models inherit from EntityData.
    // Sample model
    using System;
    using System.Collections.Generic;
    using System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations;
    using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Mobile.Service;
    namespace sbp_ctService.Models
    public class Methodology : EntityData
    public Methodology()
    this.Scenarioes = new List<Scenario>();
    public string Id { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [StringLength(50)]
    public string EntryMethod { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [StringLength(50)]
    public string TestDirection { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [StringLength(50)]
    public string PassCriteria { get; set; }
    [Required]
    [StringLength(50)]
    public string Dependency { get; set; }
    public bool ExtraInfo { get; set; }
    public virtual ICollection<Scenario> Scenarioes { get; set; }
    And in my Configuration.cs file during an update here's my seed method:
    protected override void Seed(sbp_ctService.Models.sbp_ctContext context)
    // This method will be called after migrating to the latest version.
    context.Methodologies.AddOrUpdate(
    m => m.Id,
    new Methodology { Id = "Methodology1", EntryMethod = "P/F", PassCriteria = "P/F", Dependency = "None", ExtraInfo = false, TestDirection = "Round" },
    new Methodology { Id = "Methodology2", EntryMethod = "P/F", PassCriteria = "Best", Dependency = "None", ExtraInfo = false, TestDirection = "Round" },
    new Methodology { Id = "Methodology3", EntryMethod = "P/F", PassCriteria = "Best", Dependency = "None", ExtraInfo = false, TestDirection = "In/Out" },
    new Methodology { Id = "Methodology4", EntryMethod = "P/F", PassCriteria = "Best", Dependency = "None", ExtraInfo = false, TestDirection = "Out" }
    For some reason on an update the CreatedAt field is created and given a value of null. So of course on an insert/update it will error because CreatedAt is an Identity field.
    I've tried to configure the modelBuilder in my context to tell it that CreatedAt is an identity field, but that still doesn't work.
    modelBuilder.Entity<Methodology>()
    .Property(m => m.CreatedAt)
    .HasDatabaseGeneratedOption(DatabaseGeneratedOption.Identity);
    So far the only way to fix this is by commenting out my Seed data, but it's not a fix. I've seen other solutions where you can force it to not serialize certain fields, but I don't know if those solutions apply.

    So I think this occurs because you might have created the database (Code-first) with POCOs that didn't have the CreatedAt field in them. I think that's what I did and the easiest way to fix it for me was to delete my database and re-create it with my POCOs
    inheriting from Entity Data from the very beginning. We were still in development so it worked out for us but I know some people might not be able to do that. Here's what my table looks like after it was created correctly:
    USE [database_name]
    GO
    /****** Object: Table [sbp_ct].[Methodologies] Script Date: 2/24/2015 9:48:45 PM ******/
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    GO
    CREATE TABLE [schema_name].[Methodologies] (
    [Id] NVARCHAR (128) NOT NULL,
    [EntryMethod] NVARCHAR (50) NOT NULL,
    [TestDirection] NVARCHAR (50) NOT NULL,
    [PassCriteria] NVARCHAR (50) NOT NULL,
    [Dependency] NVARCHAR (50) NOT NULL,
    [ExtraInfo] BIT NOT NULL,
    [Version] ROWVERSION NOT NULL,
    [CreatedAt] DATETIMEOFFSET (7) NULL,

    [Name] NVARCHAR (MAX) NULL
    GO
    CREATE CLUSTERED INDEX [IX_CreatedAt]
    ON [schema_name].[Methodologies]([CreatedAt] ASC);
    GO
    ALTER TABLE [schema_name].[Methodologies]
    ADD CONSTRAINT [PK_schema_name.Methodologies] PRIMARY KEY NONCLUSTERED ([Id] ASC);

  • EA2: Code is generated for only one column with Domain check constraint.

    I created a Domain with a Value List (Y or N - Yes or No) and used that domain for two columns in the same table. But for only one column (the last one) the check appears in the generated DDL.
    After I enabled the "Use Domain Constraints" both checks appear in the DDL, but one as an inline check constraint and one as an "Alter table add contraint.."
    Once I changed the naming Template for the check constraint, both constraints are generated as an Alter table clause. The inline check constraint is only generated when the name of the constraint (according to the template) is too long. It would be nice if I could choose if I want an inline or a separate check constraint definition.

  • How to restrict the generated constraint name with Model Driven Development

    Hello
    I have a database that has tables INSTRUMENT and EXCHANGE. There has to be a foreign key field called primaryExchange inside INSTRUMENT table that points to the ID of EXCHANGE table. In my fml file, my tables are called Instrument and Exchange. When I create this relation between the two tables in the model and deploy it to LCDS, it tries to create a FK constraint by the name of "FK_Instrument_primaryExchange_TO_Exchage" which fails with ORA-00972 -  Identifier is too long. Obviously the generated FK name is more than 30 chars and hence the oracle erorr. The only way to resolve this is to reduce the name of the table/field in the fml file while keeping the database table/field name intact. So the FK might be called FK_Instr_primExch_TO_Exch and which will work but the problem is that in the fml model file, I am loosing the meaningful names of the tables and thus the data services that are generated have truncated names. For this particular example, the truncated name might still be okay but in a large database, it is causing much grief. I would really prefer decent descriptive names for table like MarketOrder instead of MO. Pls advise how I can customize the generated constraint name while keeping the tables names still informative.
    Now I edit my DB tables to have a field called ID which is unique to that table but while deploying I get hibernate and fiber exceptions :-
    2011-03-10 16:30:44,042 INFO  [STDOUT] (http-0.0.0.0-8180-1) [UlltraWebServer]Exception trying to build hibernate's session factory: org.hibernate.MappingException: Repeated column in mapping for entity: UlltraWebServer.package4.Client column: ID (should be mapped with insert="false" update="false")

    org.hibernate.MappingException: Repeated column in mapping for entity: UlltraWebServer.package4.Client column: ID (should be mapped with insert="false" update="false")
    2011-03-10 16:30:44,229 INFO  [STDOUT] (http-0.0.0.0-8180-1) [UlltraWebServer]Exception trying to build hibernate's session factory: org.hibernate.MappingException: Repeated column in mapping for entity: UlltraWebServer.package4.Client column: ID (should be mapped with insert="false" update="false")
    The above suggests that it does not like the same name for the fields in multiple tables, they all have to be unique like Holiday.holidayID, Client.clientID etc which causes the above constraint length violation issue..
    thanks

    You should be able to achieve what you want with an explicit criteria filter on your entity.
    In the Modeler Design view, select your entity and add a filter. You'll see that there is a an "Order By" field in the Properties view.
    Enter the value you want there and then save and redeploy your model. When you don't enter anything in the "Criteria" field, you create a getAll fill.
    Here's an example of an entity created with this type of filter; it is sorted by price in ascending order:
    <entity name="Product" persistent="true">
      <annotation name="ServerProperties" ServerType="LCDS"/>
      <annotation name="DMS" Table="PRODUCT"/>
      <annotation name="RDS" introspectedColumns="PRODUCTID,DESCRIPTION,PRICE,PRODUCTNAME"/>
      <annotation name="VisualModeler" width="115" height="110" x="364" y="203"/>
      <id name="productid" type="integer">
      <annotation name="DMS" ColumnName="PRODUCTID"/>
      </id>
      <property name="description" type="string" length="255">
      <annotation name="DMS" ColumnName="DESCRIPTION"/>
      </property>
      <property name="price" type="float">
      <annotation name="DMS" ColumnName="PRICE"/>
      </property>
      <property name="productname" type="string" length="255">
      <annotation name="DMS" ColumnName="PRODUCTNAME"/>
      </property>
      <filter name="MyFill" order="price ASC"/>
      </entity>

  • SQL error msg - The DELETE statement conflicted with the SAME TABLE REFERENCE constraint

    Executed as user: ****. The DELETE statement
    conflicted with the SAME TABLE REFERENCE constraint "FK_PARENT_TASK_REF".
    The conflict occurred in database "****", table "****", column
    'PARENT_TASK_ID'. [SQLSTATE 23000] (Error 547) The statement has been
    terminated. [SQLSTATE 01000] (Error 3621). The step failed.
    Does this error msg indicate the whole script failed to execute or was it just a single step/task that failed ?
    What does error msg mean ?
    Anyway to prevent this error msg and ensure script runs successfully

    Hi mdavidh,
    This error occurs because the record  'PARENT_TASK_ID' was referenced by 'FK_PARENT_TASK_REF'.
    Please refer below codes:
    CREATE TABLE MyTable (
    ID INT, primary key(ID), -- primary key
    ID_Parent INT foreign key(ID_Parent) references MyTable(ID), -- foreign key reference the same table
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(0,0);
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(1,0);
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(2,0);
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(3,1);
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(4,3);
    insert into MyTable(ID,ID_Parent)
    values(5,4);
    CREATE TRIGGER MyTrigger
    on MyTable
    instead of delete
    as
    set nocount on
    update MyTable set ID_Parent = null where ID_Parent in (select ID from deleted)
    delete from MyTable where ID in (select ID from deleted)
    Now we could delete records.
    delete from MyTable where ID_Parent=0
    Thanks,
    Candy Zhou

  • Is there a way to add a column after a filled DataTable from SQL with the same rows?

    My problem is that not to add rows like filled by SQLDataAdapter at the same row in DataGridView. How to make that? I showed below the details with my code also a screen shot, which shows the rows differences from the origin one.
    I don't want to add an expression as column behave in my sql script to get what I need with query result. I don't want to obtain that way.
    using (SqlConnection c = new SqlConnection(ConnStrMSSQL))
    c.Open();
    // 2
    // Create new DataAdapter
    using (SqlDataAdapter a = new SqlDataAdapter("SELECT SIPNO, SERINO, TARIH FROM SNOHAREKETLER WHERE Cast(TARIH as DATE) BETWEEN '2015/03/20' AND '2015/03/20' AND (TEZNO = 'T23' OR TEZNO = 'T31') AND CIKTI is null", c))
    // 3
    // Use DataAdapter to fill DataTable
    DataTable t = new DataTable();
    a.Fill(t);
    t.Columns.Add("MyColumn", typeof(string));
    DataRow workRow;
    int iGetCount = t.Rows.Count;
    for (int i = 0; i <= iGetCount - 1; i++)
    workRow = t.NewRow();
    workRow["MyColumn"] = i;
    t.Rows.Add(workRow);
    dataGridView1.DataSource = t;

    The extra column isn't applied to only certain rows.  The columns of a table identify what data each row will contain.  Hence adding a column to the table automatically adds them to the rows.  What you're seeing is that all the initial rows
    aren't being assigned a value so they retain their default value of null.  Later you enumerate the rows of the existing table and call AddRow which adds new rows.  This isn't adding columns, but rows.
    To generate values for the existing rows you should ideally simply pass the data back from the database.  DT computed columns can be difficult to set up as it is limited to what it can do.  If you want to use a computed column on the Datatable
    itself then define the column as a computed column and every row will calculate its own value.
    DataTable data = GetData();
    //Add elapsed time column
    var col = new DataColumn("ElapsedTime", typeof(TimeSpan), "expr");
    data.Columns.Add(col);
    dataGridView1.DataSource = data;
    The issue you will run into however is that calculating a diff on DateTime doesn't work in a computed column as the expression doesn't support the necessary functions.  You can google for how people solved this if you are interested in alternatives.
    Most people just tend to add the column and then hook into the various change events to update the value as needed.

  • Why do I get a class conflict between the Prepare SQL.vi and the Get Column Name.vi with the SQL Toolkit compatibility vis from the Database Connectivity Toolkit?

    I have done extensive programming with the SQL Toolkit with LabVIEW versions through 6.1. My customer now wants to upgrade to Windows 7, so I am trying to upgrade to LabVIEW 2009 (my latest purchased version) using the Database Connectivity Toolkit, and the SQL Toolkit Compatibility vis. Everything seemed to be going okay with the higher level SQL operations, but I ran into trouble with the Get Column Name.vi.
    The pictures below show the problem. The original SQL Toolkit connected the Prepare SQL.vi with the Get Column Name.vi with a cluster of two references, one for connection, and one for sql. The new compatibility vis have a class conflict in the wire because the Prepare SQL.vi contains a cluster with connection, and command references, but the Get Column Name.vi expects a cluster with connection and recordset references.
    How do I resolve this conflict?
    Thank You.
    Dan

    I've never worked with the old version of the toolkit, so I don't know how it did things, but looking inside the SQL prep VI, it only generates a command, and the the column name VI wants a recordset. I'm not super familiar with all the internals of ADO, but my understanding is that is standard - you only have the columns after you execute the command and get the recordset back. What you can apparently do here is insert the Execute Prepared SQL VI in the middle and that will return what you need.
    I'm not sure why it worked before. Maybe the execute was hidden inside the prep VI or maybe you can get the column names out of the command object before execution. In general, I would recommend considering switching to the newer VIs.
