  • How to use multi prompts using java script in FF3.0*

    Hey i used the java script given in link :- http://sranka.wordpress.com/2008/11/09/how-to-replace-multi-go-button-prompt-by-one/#comment-96
    to hide multi-go-button in prompts and it works for IE 7 and firefox 2.0* with 10.3.4.1.
    Now since 10.1.3.4.1 is certified with firefox 3.0* ,when i use this same script in firefox 3.0* for my prompts it doesn’t work .
    Any idea why ? Please help me with this,as i want to use this hide go button feature in firefox 3.0* too.
    Are these scripts browser to browser incompatible ? If yes from where can i get the script for firefox 3.0* ?
    Awaiting for the inputs.
    Thanks,

    Vikas:
    In the 'Button Attributes' field of the button enter 'id='thisButton'.
    Modify the button template to include the substitution string #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES# . This should be put in the anchor tag in the template defintion.
    Modify your Javascript to reference the above id as
    html_GetElement ('thisButton').disabled = true;
    ....Varad

    Quadruple-posting your issue won't get it resolved quicker. Please stop that. If you feel your thread needs to be on top, bump it by adding a "Any input?" post to it or something. Ome would assume that forums are around long enough for this trick to be known.

  • In pdf file need java script to clear cache before launch of web link

    using adobe acrobat XI - have pdf file with link to external web site.
    When creating the link in the link properties selected action Run a JavaScript  the following java script was added to ensure will open in new window. app.launchURL("http://google.com", true)
    this works most of the time except with some users - if those users clear their browser cache first then it works
    Is there anything that could be added to the java script to ensure the browser cache is cleared or not used before the launch action? or any other suggestion to ensure the link will always open in new window?
    Thanks,
    Jackie

    thanks for your prompt reply.
    Was hoping maybe there would be someway to clear the cache for the users
    without them having to do anything.
    Appreciate your help.

  • Java script problem when trying to sign in to Ovi ...

    Hi Folks
    I am running XP SP3, with IE7.  I have had problems due to installing ie8 then removing it and going back to IE7.  I have had to reset all sorts of bits.  Anyway. I still can't sign in to the music store, or register my PC for comes with music.  I installed a debugger to see what was going on.  This is my current stage of the problem.....
    When I sign in, I only get a white panel.  The debugger highlights this section of the java script: __doPostBack('ctl00$C$btnEContinue','')
    Can someone tell me why this fails, and how I can fix it?
    many thanks.

    I also have the same problem. I've tried all fixes listed in other forums and nothing works. Running windows Vista 32 bit. Any working solutions yet? Tried every solution listed for the cmd prompt. Turned off antivirus and spyware. Rebooting about 100 times. Nothing works.

  • How create indesign using Java Script

    I am new in indesign and want to create indesign application using JavaScript.
    When i use AppleScript to create Indesign Application i use this statement
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS5.5"
    set myDocument to make document with properties
    end tell
    Indesign Application create sucessfully.
    How create Indesign Application using JavaScript ?
    or what is equivelent statement of ( tell application "Adobe InDesign CS5.5" ) in Java Script.
    There are some java scripting example given on forum or in sdk.These all example start with app.
    when I debug these java script using ExtendScript ToolKit 3.6 It give error on app (undefined app).I think this app ia application object.
    How create  indesign application object  app in javascript ?
    While this script run sucessfully when i put these script in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS5.5\Scripts
    and to run these script use Scripts panel (choose Window > Utilities > Scripts), then double-click the script name in the Scripts panel in indesign application.But In this case first i start indesign application and then choose Window > Utilities > Scripts then double-click the script name in the Scripts panel.
    I want to create Indesign Application (instance) using JavaScript.When I run or (debug) my JavaScript in any javaScript tool like ExtendScript ToolKit 3.6 then Indesign application should start, like in Apple Script.
    Thanks

    Thanks Vamitul for reply
    For example when i run SelectObjects.jsx An InDesign CS5.5 JavaScript in ESTK  then message prompt "Target Adove Indesign CS5.5 is not running. Do you want to lanch." Then on click yes Indesign application start.
    I want to Know how indesign object "app" is created to start Indesign application on click yes.
    http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/indesign/cs55-docs/In DesignScripting/InDesign-ScriptingTutorial.pdf
    Like in VB to create indesign object we use CreateObject("InDesign.Application"). In javascript how create object say "app" of InDesign Application.
    For example if  i write
    var myDocument = app.documents.add();
    var myTextFrame = myDocument.pages.item(0).textFrames.add();
    myTextFrame.geometricBounds = ["6p", "6p", "24p", "24p"];
    myTextFrame.contents = "Hello World!";
    in a simple text file and save it with .js extention and to open this double click on this  it give error undefined "app".
    Source :Microsoft JScript runtime error
    So how define "app" or create indesign object ?
    Thanks

  • Documents in library went from English to Java Script

    The documents in my libraries was all in English,
    This changed from English into Java Script, Java Script Run Errors, and left some documents in English.
    I'd like my library/document file back in alphabetized English only

    Hello anitaworkman,
    I understand that your files have changed to java script.
    Open up command prompt and run the following command SFC /scannow.
    This will scan the system files and correct any errors that it can.
    Here is a link to command prompt.
    When you go to open command prompt, right click and run as administrator.
    If it has not been to long since the problem started, you can run a system restore.
    This will take the system back to when everything was working correctly without affecting your personal files.
    Here is a link on how to do a restore.
    Let me know how everything goes.

  • How to build JAVA script in CMD

    How to build JAVA script in CMD command prompt?
    I think it's build.all but it's not working plz help

    To build a Java class file (ie compile it) you need to call the Java compiler javac. There is software around to make this easier:
    - ANT a make like tool but with XML files usually called build.xml
    - Maven a more convention driven approach for much complexer systems
    - IDEs like JDeveloper, Netbeans, Eclipse, you name it.

  • Read, Modify and Apply Report XML using Java Script

    Hi Guys,
    Is there any way that we can Pragmatically Read, Modify and Apply Report XML using Java Script or some other way.
    Thanks
    Kaushik
    Edited by: Kaushik K on Jun 20, 2012 8:36 PM

    Requirement ::
    Users should be able to add Column to the Report Dynamically at Runtime.
    (There are around 1000+ Users, Answers Approach is not acceptable)
    So we are planning to provide a Multi Select / Shuttle Box Option for Users to add Columns dynamically. (Only for Table View)
    What we planned to DO ::
    Create a Presentation Variable Prompt, Which reads the Metadata Table (Presentation Table.Column Name, populated using the Metadata Dictionary)
    And Create a report with One Column and the Column Fx like @{var_dynamic_columns}{'"Time"."Year","Time"."Month"'}
    With this, OBIEE is rewriting the Logical SQL Currently as "Select "Time"."Year","Time"."Month" from "A - Sample Sales" "
    But getting an error
    The number of columns returned in retrieving column metadata was invalid (expected: 1; received: 2)
    So we want to see, if we can rewrite the Advanced XML of the Report to have dynamic columns based on the Values from the Presentation Variable.
    Please help me if this is a viable solution or any other better solution.

  • Access System Resources using Java Applet via Java Script

    Hello
    I can access my Applet public methods (and this methods access system resources) via Java Script if I do the following: System.setSecurityManager(null);However, I'm making this post because I don't like this solution.
    Supposedly, setting the SM to null is like making the Applet (which is signed and was accepted by the user via a prompt from the browser) behave like a normal Java program that has no restrictions. (http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/environment/security.html, second paragraph)
    However, this feels like a workaround of something that is supposed to be there (the SM).
    Also, if I make the methods invocation from inside the applet (using swing buttons and textboxes for example) I can use the standard SM without no problems.
    From my readings, the problem regarding Java Script invocation, comes from the fact that the Java Script is not a secure (not signed) source (because you can invoke public methods the way you wish from it i guess) on the contrary to the applet methods invoked by the buttons.
    Possible solutions I found in the web range from using the public static Object doPrivileged(PrivilegedAction action) method or imaginative things like creating new threads on the public method that call the private methods that access the system resources (supposedly because the new thread runs under the safe environment of the applet)
    I almost got a glimpse of hope with this post http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5325271&tstart=0
    However, none of these solutions worked, the only results were with the setResourceManager(null)So, any one can contribute with a solution for this? Should I keep trying to find a solution other then the one I already have?
    Regards
    Cad

    1. yes
    2. yes
    Note for 2. the converter will run the applet with SUN jre for sure if the user has IE.
    IE will use the ActiveX technology to run the applet (as with Macromedia Flash).
    For Netscape I am not sure, but I would think Netsape will use the plug in provided by
    SUN.
    Note for SUN jre 1.3. If this applet is to be used within a company that uses a proxy with
    ntlm authentication the 1.3 applet cannot connect (to the Internet) through this proxy since
    ntlm athentication is supported since j2re1.4.2_03. There is one version before that but
    that one will pop up a window asking for the user's domain account and password wich
    is both lame and crappy.
    As for the IE settings, IE has a default setting that askes users the "do you trust"
    queston for AciveX controls within the Internet securety zone (tools -> internet options
    -> security).
    Sincy anybody can make ActiveX controls (allso sign them) a user that has a problem
    to find the "no" button will sooner or later install a malicuous ActiveX control (spy ware
    or a virus).
    If this user's desktop is within your company's network it will cause serious harm.
    This is why most company's disable this by changing the default internet expolorer
    settings. Since I assume you are writhing this applet to be used by a company I allso
    assumed that company has someone to maintain the desktops. In that case I
    assume that person would want to control the security within the SUN jre instead of
    letting the user deside what to trust and what not.

  • FF 14.0.1: Bookmark with java-script function to build and open URL. Works unless clicked when already in a new blank tab, then does nothing. Why?

    On 14.0.1 I have a bookmark which calls a java script function to prompt for input, build and call a dynamic URL. This has worked fine until last update of FF. It works fine if I right click and select Open in a New Tab, or new window. It works fine if I am in any other website and click it. It only does not work, if I open a new blank tab or window, and then click it from inside that new tab. Then it does nothing. Same happens whether the "New tab Page" is displayed or not. Same happens in safe mode.
    Bookmark properties:
    javascript:void(str=prompt(%22Document%20Number:%22,%22%22));if(str){location.href=%22https://somecompany.com/oip/faces/secure/km/DocumentDisplay.jspx?id=%22+escape(str).split(%22%20%22).join(%22+%22);}

    I searched for a recent thread on this but couldn't find it.
    This may be the result of a security restriction on some "about" pages such as about:home and about:newtab.
    Did you blank the new tab page using the little button or did you actually change the new tab page to about:blank? In case you need steps for testing:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter the desired value:
    ''(i) Page thumbnails (default)''
    browser.newtab.url = about:newtab
    ''(ii) Blank tab''
    browser.newtab.url = about:blank
    ''(iii) Built-in Firefox home page''
    browser.newtab.url = about:home
    ''(iv) Any other page''
    browser.newtab.url = full URL to the page

  • My JavaScript already Enabled but my bank site shows me java script disabled and am not able to transfer my fund online

    I have alrady enabled java script but my bank website prompt me that java script disabled so for thesame am not able to pay or transfer my funds online.

    Java and JavaScript are not the same thing. To ensure the JavaScript is enabled, go to the Options dialog and select the Content panel and make sure that "Enable JavaScript" is selected. There are add-ons that can block JavaScript, if you have an add-on such as NoScript, make sure that it has not blocked your bank site.
    If you are still having problems, try running Firefox in [[safe mode|Firefox safe mode]], this will disable add-ons and can be used to see if an ad-on is causing the problem. If it works in safe mode, follow the procedure in the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article to identify which one is doing this.

  • Java Script: I am in need of it for research items

    I am always needing to download updated versions of java script, it seems.  It also seems that this is a backdoor way to infect a computer with a virus.  I conduct a lot of research on my computer and articles run on java.  I recently upgraded my mac's operating system and java script also needs to be upgraded (so I am prompted to update it).  But, I recently read that hackers will prompt you into thinking you need to update a java script so that it can infect your computer.  How do I trust a java script update prompt?  I updated to OS X Yosemite, is it true that Java Script has been disabled by this operating software system?  If so, is it best to visit oracle to update java?  Should I delete all previous versions of java first and then visit oracle and then update?  Please advise on how to proceed.  Many thanks in advance.

    That's different. You have software on your Mac that requires Java to function. This is completely independent of your web browser, so has nothing to do with that. There's various software like that. Some being Adobe's apps, X-Rite's ColorPort app, ROES software for ordering photo prints from your digital files, and others.
    All it's telling you is an app you want to run is missing the Java runtime software it needs on your Mac. There are a couple of ways to do this.
    1) Download and install Java 6 SE for Mac. Version 6 was the last version Apple produced before turning over all future Java development to Oracle. This will typically fix the error.
    2) You can also install Java 8 from Oracle. If you do go this route, pay very close attention to the installer. It wants to install adware along with Java. Make sure to turn the check box off to prevent that. This alone won't fix the issue since the apps are looking for version 6 of Java. Once Java 8 is installed, open the System Preferences and click on the Java icon. Click on the Security tab of the dialogue that appears and turn off the top check box. This will prevent Java from working in your web browsers, which will stop any such exploits via the web from running.
    Now that you've disabled Java 8 for the web, time to get Java 8 working for apps looking for version 6. Open the Terminal app in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder and enter the two lines below in Terminal, pressing return after each one. To make sure you don't type something wrong, copy/paste the lines from here one at at time into the Terminal window. If you've never used the sudo command before, it will give you a generic warning about using the command. Then enter your admin password to allow the command to complete.
    sudo mkdir -p /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk
    sudo mkdir -p /System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle
    There's no need to follow all of these steps for number 2 if you have no need for Java 8. I need it for ROES software, but I also need version 6 for ColorPort. By following these longer steps, I only need to install version 8. The Terminal lines trick ColorPort into using version 8 as 6. That way, I don't have to install both 6 and 8.
