Propagation problem - remote queue

Hi all!
NT4.0, O8i 8.1.7
Propagation between local queues works fine, but for remote queue the message stay in the queue with 'Ready state'
The test message:

    I have a problem when propagation messages between queues. When the message is propagated, it stays on the source queue with READY state.
    I have created two queues on 11g with a propagation rule that any message from queue A are sent to queue B. My problem is that the message from the source queue stays in the source queue even after propagation, which isn't what I was expecting. The problem doesn't occur if the queues are on a different database. This problem only happens if the queues are on the same database.

    When I enqueue a message to the source on USERA with this:

    The message is propagated to the destination queue, no problem, but the message state on the source queue is kept as ready. I would have expected it to be marked as processed and disappear from the queue table.

  • Standard-Entreprise Propagation error remote DB

    Hello,
    I use a Oracle9i Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
    I create remotely queue tables and queues, propagation via DBLink. That's ok
    But the propagation fails with this error :
    ORA-02068: following severe error from REMTE
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kolaHashFind:hash table], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

    we have found it.
    We transfert message wich payload is type sys.xmltype
    The problem was : one instance was with character set we8iso... and the other ms1252.

    we are trying to connect OSB to a MQ remote queue but we have some troubles ...
    We installed WebSphere MQ 7.0.1.3:

    We don’t get any message from OSB MQ proxy.
    Do you have any hints ? Did you connect successfully OSB and MQ using MQ transport provided by OSB ?

  • How to handle failure when sending messages to remote queues from OAS10.1.3

    Here is my problem. IN my project, I have a MDB which is looking for message in a queue and once a message arrived, it supposed to send the message to remote queues.
    Assume that there are 3 remote queues, and my mdb is trying to send the message to all the 3 remote queues,
    1) My problem is, If one of the remote queue is not reachable or down, then the MDB should be able to resend it several times until it reaches the failed remote queue.
    2) At the same time, I dont want to resend the messages(duplicate) to the queues which are successful ones.
    Please suggest me some solution for this in JMS.
    My MDB deployed at 10.1.3 and assume that remote queue can be in either another 10.1.3 or WAS 6.0(Optional).

    Not very sure what is your question, depending on if you want to resend the message if one of three queues is down.
    If the message has to arrive to a certain destination while mdb received it, you may try to reconnnect and resend the message in a couple of times. Perhaps you need a couter or timeout to limit the number of time to retry or the period to retry.
    Is that what you are asking.
    2) At the same time, I dont want to resend the messages(duplicate) to the queues which are successful ones.
    While sending message to a queue, those implementation is within the exception try/catch block, so any resend failure (JMSException) will fall into the catch block I guess. And we can probably use that exception to determine if the message is able to send to remote queue, if not, keep resending util it is over the limit of retries. For example:

  • JMS adapter fails to open IBM WebSphere MQ Manager V6 Remote Queue

    Hello,
    We are trying to connect to a Remote Queue with the SAP PI 7.0 SP9 JMS adapter to IBM WebSphere MQ V6 on Linux SLES9 x86_64.
    We did deployed the JMS-adapter with the V6 native libaries on SAP PI.
    In the Communication Channel we use the Adapter Type = JMS, Sender, Transport Protocol = WebSphereMQ(non-JMS).
    The MQ Queue Manager is on the same server as SAP PI so we use localhost, Server Port, Queue Manager Name, Channel Name and JMS Queue Name
    The <sid>adm user is a member of the mqm group.
    When I check the RWB I see this fault message:
    Error during channel initialization; exception trace: javax.jms.JMSException: <b>MQJMS2008: failed to open MQ Queue</b> at ...
    and also
    com.ibm.mq.MQException: <b>MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2045</b>
    When we lookup the reason 2045 we get this explaination on MQ:
    MQRC_OPTION_NOT_VALID_FOR_TYPE
    We also have a type = Receiver Communication Channel on the same MQ Queue Manager that one is working fine.

  • Remote queue in XI server for IBM MQSeries

    Dear All,
    my scenario is IBM MQSeries -> message via sender JMS adapter -> XI -> receiver RFC adapter -> R/3.
    now for IBM MQSeries to send a message to XI via a transmission queue in MQSeries - it needs a remote queue name and  queue  manager name in XI server.
    So now where can i find these information regarding remote queue name and  queue  manager name in XI server. I currently do not know whether in XI server, currently is there any remote queue or not? So how to find this information. If we do not have remote queue manager in XI currently, then how to install a remote queue name and  queue  manager in XI server.
    It is slightly urgent. So i request you all to please reply quickly.

    i am using the correct IP and 1414 port of MQSeries server. I have used a MQQueueManager defined in MQSeries. i have deployed JMS adapter properly in XI server.
    So can anybody suggest what could be the possible reason of this error and how to rectify it. It is slightly urgent.
    One more question - should the queue manager in MQSeries server be a local or remote queue manager..........i was not able to create a remote queue manager in MQSeries 5.2.1 as by default it is creating a local queue manager.......

  • Count the number of message in remote queue.

    Does any method in MQSeries or JMS, can count the number of message in remote queue.
    I try to use QueueBrowser to browser, but got exception when browse the remote queue.

    You cannot read from, browse or query a remote MQ Queue, only write to it. Try www.mqseries.net or ibm website for any ways around this...

  • Can an MDB listens to remote queue

    In my application , i have created a queue and MDB for that queue.
    this MDB should also listen to the queue in another system that is remote queue.how is this possible.
    because the queue will be in remote system. and MDB will be in my system. the queue to which this MDB should listen will be in specified in deplyment descriptors. then how it will identify that the queue is local or remote.
    Please clarify me as we have a release near.

    I have used MDB in WebLogic Server. You can add the Destination Queue, Connection factory, etc information in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml.
    I am not sure what is to be used in Oracle Server.

    I have checked the JNDI tree and i see the local JNDI (Local Queue, Local Conneciton Factory) with no red signs.
    In additional i am checking with Jdeveloper if i can browse the Queue, but i don't see the remote queue.
    So maybe i am missing something in the configuration.
    My configurations are:
    1.
    JMS Module:
    Foreign server (Initial Context Factory, JNDI connection Url, credentials, confirm credentials, JNDI properties (java.naming.security.principal=username))
    Destinations: (Local JNDI queue name, Remote JNDI queue name)
    Connection Factories: (Local JNDI factory name, Remote JNDI factory name, user, password, confirm password).
    2.
    Then restarted the JMS Module.
    3.
    Then connecting with Jdeveloper to the host of the managed server and browsing all available JMS destionations.
    I see the folder of the JMS module, but under it there is no Queue.
    So is there anything else that should be configured in order to connect to remote QUEUE.

    How do you configure MDBs to listen on a remote queue in OAS 10g 10.1.3?
    I've tried using the SonicMQ example in the container services guide as a template, but I haven't been able to get it to work.

    Ok I understand now. When you said remote I thought you meant a destination outside the service bus, and not an MQ remote queue. Unfortunately I have little advice to give. The documentation states:
    When you create an MQ service, select the transport protocol as mq and specify the Endpoint URI in the Transport Configuration >page. Specify the Endpoint URI in mq://local-queue-name?conn=mq-connection-resource-ref format where
    local-queue-name is the name of the local queue configured on the MQ server
    mq-connection-resource-ref points to the location of the MQ connection resource I don't know if it's possible to use a remote queue directly, my knowledge of MQ is limited. Hopefully someone else can help. Or you could contact support and ask if remote queues are supported.

  • Oracle 8i, propagation problem with Advanced Active Queues

    In our application we use Advanced Active Queuing to exchange data between servers.
    The job responsable for the propagation of the messages to another server suddenly stops without obvious reason ?!
    We already tried to modify the processes parameter in the initialisation file, but without success.

    what u mean u tried to change init.ora param unsuccessfully.
    u change aq_tm_processes, job_queue_processes params, and bounce the database, there u go

  • Urgent--Message Propagation problem.

    I am trying out the following stuff:-
    1)Creating a QueueTable.
    2)Setting its property to setMultipleCustomer(true)
    3)Create a Queue using AQ API.
    then calling the followin methods.
    4) queue.startEnqueue();
    5) queue.schedulePropagation(null, null, null, null, null);
    NOTE:- I already have a destination queue to which message should propagate in the same database. Thats why i have given all null parameters in schedule propagation.
    In client code I am using JMS API to connect to the Queues to put message.
    But when Iam trying to Create the queue I get Resource Not Found Exception.
    But when I use in the above case setMultipleConsume(false) the code doesnt give any exception, though message propagation is not done. But my intension is to use the message propagation thru schedulePropagation method. In order to use the message propagation feature I have to setMultipleCunsumer(true). and there by ending up in this problem.
    Question 1)Can anyone let me know what are the steps to do a message propagation thru Queues(Not Topic). Step by step.
    Question 2) Can anyone tell me how to and what to put in the dblink in case if I want by queue to propagate to a queue on a remote db server.
    NOTE :- Im using ORACLE AQ APIs to create Queues. and using JMS Client to connect to the queue.

    Sessions require session cookies.
    If the user has cookies off then the session won't be retained by the server automatically.
    The solution to this is to use URL rewriting.
    There is a method: HTTPResponse.encodeURL( String url )
    It automatically adds the JSESSIONID used to track the session onto the url if the browser is not accepting cookies.
    You need to do this on every link in the website so that session is maintained.

    i am trying to propagate message from a queue in 8i database to a queue in 9i database.The problem is that i can see the message being enqueued in 8i database but the 9i queue is always empty.Is there any problem with propagation.How can i check if there are some errors during propagation?

    I've done it with 8.1.7.4 and 9.2.0.6 in both directions
    with event scheduling (in ora8i i realized it by myself because it is a 9i feature)
    and it is working now for half a year in production at customers site!
    so, what have you tried in detail?
