Provision OIM user to ADAM using own ProcessDefinationForm,lookups etc
Hi Friends,
I am getting problem while provision OIM user to ADAM using the AD Connector 9.1.0.1. For provision I am using my own process definition form, adapter etc (see below).
The details are
• Created a new IT resource i.e. “ADAM IT” of type AD Server.
• Created a new Resource i.e. “ADAM User”
• Created a Form i.e. “UD_ADAMUSER” similar to “UD_ADUSER”
• Created a new “AD. PARAMETERADAM” similar to “AD.PARAMETER”
• Created a lookup definition AtMap.MYADAM (similar to AtMap.ADAM) containing mapping between above form field and ADAM server attribute. This lookup is used in created IT resource as AtMap ADUser value.
• Created an adapter i.e. adpADAMCREATEUSER. This adapter has exactly same step as it is in adapter “adpADCSCREATEUSER”. I have used “AD.PARAMETERADAM” instead of “AD.PARAMETER”. Below are the three tasks I have created for this adapter It is similar to task “adpADCSCREATEUSER”.
o ADAM Get Lookup Values
o ADAM Get Attribute Map
o ADAM Create User
• Created a process definition of type provisioning i.e. “ADAM User” just like “AD User”
o In this process definition I have used created “ADAM User” as object
o “UD_ADAMUSER” as “Table Name” and
o Create a task called “Create User” and used the created adapter and mapped the adapter variables.
When I perform the provisioning operation with the above settings, then provision is not succeeded and when I checked log I found below details….

Any thought on why the provisioning operation failed, am I missing something? One more thing where I can find the java doc for the AD Connector 9.1.0.1?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The AD connector is built to provision one object and doesn't really do complex OU structures very well so if you need to create multiple objects your best bet is probably a custom connector using JNDI.

Error while trying to provision OIM user to Active Directory using SSL

I am able to see the users through LDAP browser using SSL but am getting the following error while trying to provision OIM users to AD using SSL.
I am using Microsoft Active Directory connector type 9.11.
Response: Connection Error encountered

I did some testing using "Diagnostic Dashboard" and the following are the results.
Test Name: Target System SSL Trust Verification: Passed
Test Name: Test Basic Connectivity: Failed
Exceptions:
ITResource information values are not correct. Enter the correct values.
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
javax.naming.CommunicationException: simple bind failed:
unable to find valid certification path to requested target.Test Name: Test Provisioning:Failed
Note: Without SLL all the above tests got Passed.
Can anybody help me out from this issue.

Problems while provisioning OIM user to AD

My OIM version is 9.1.0.1 & AD version is 9.1.1.4
I want to provision OIM user to AD,so before provisioning i ran AD Group Lookup Recon &
AD Organization Lookup Recon .
When i tried to provision AD User to OIM user ,status=provisioning where System Validation was
completed & create user was rejected & there was no response description.

Hi,
I configure provisioning process of user details from OIM 9.1.0.1 to OpenLDAP 2.2.29 on windows server 2003.
Now I am trying to de-provision the users in OpenLDAP 2.2.29.
Can anybody please suggest me the process for this de-provisioning.

SriI agree with Sandy, managerName attribute will only take DN value of manager user.
The two things that you have check is,
1. If you are passing manager DN, and not just any string.
2. Manager DN should exist in the current AD directory on which you are trying to create the user. -

Error while Provisioning a user to Exchange:Configuration OIM 9.1 & JBOSS
Hi,
I am facing the below error while provisioning a user to Exchange. The Resource gets provisioned. But inside the resource, two tasks (Create User & Set Mailbox) are rejected. When i retry these tasks, the Resource status is set to Revoked in the Resource Profile of OIM. The AD Provisioning is working fine. There are 2 AD IT Resources here. Database is Oracle 10g.

Problem Creating OIM User During Provisioning
I have customized a .jar file which will allow me to create a user with the user login based on the first and last name of the user (this item is not stored on the user form until provisioning is initiated). My process definitions are ordered:
1) Create Custom User Login (Store in UDF).
2) Provision User to Database
3) Create OIM user.
The process works via direct provisioning. However, during a request based provision, I receive the following errors:

I am trying to provision a user from OIM to MSAD through direct provisioning. After performing the steps for provisioning, i get the status of create user as rejected and the task is asssigned to xelsysadm for approval though it is direct povisioning.

OIM 11g - automatically provision a user with AD
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie with OIM and to begin, I would like to provision a user with my AD directly after we create him on OIM. So I created an Access Policy for the resource AD User with the correct Ad Server and the correct Organization and I affect it for All Users. When I create a new user and I give some additional informations like the address, phone number, email for example, this user is well provisioned on my AD but the only informations which are provisioned are his login, his first name, his last name and none of the others.
I don't understand why. Do I have to set up an adaptater for this ? I've also checked Auto Save and Auto Pre-populate in the Process Definition but I don't know if it's the right thing to do.
If you can help me with this. (I know this is a really "newbie" question but it'll help me a lot to understand OIM basics functionalities)

ThibaultI don't think that Oracle has used any kind of Java Code for this. You can simply create Logical task to achieve the same.
Anyways AD Connector comes with two jar files and you can get thsoe JARs from Connector Pack itself or from Database.
Go through Design Console guide for details.
And also for your use case follow steps:

Search UD_ADUSER
Create New Version
Save
Go to Prepopulate Tab
Click Add
Select your attribute
Adapter as ADCS Populate First Name, Rule as Default, Order as integer value say 7

Is there anyway we can allow a user in OIM to provide its own security questions at the time of self registration? If so how we can achieve that?

In OIM first time while setting QA it brings the question from Lookup but after that it reads from the PCQ table only.
So as you want that User should be able to set his own Questions then no need of any Lookup *(APMK)*. You can build your custom JSP to enter Questions as well as Answers and send these data to PCQ table. It should be in Encrypted Format.
Next time when User Logs in it wil fetch the questions from PCQ table and validate the answers from that. So no need of Question Lookup.
Question Lookup we use because we want to show same questions to everyone and it is configurable and we can change the questions as per client requirement.
In your case your user are entering there own questions. -

Hi All,
I want to remove oim users' particular oim group membership, Is there any problem, if I use the following script to delete user group information from USg table?
delete from usg where usr_key in (select usr_key from usr where usr_login in ('xxx','yyy')) and ugp_key=31
Note: In our case, No policies,membershiprules are assigned to this oim group (we defined gruops only) and env is oim 9.1.
Can any one confirm this. Or if there is nay problem, please let us know.

.Give the Name of Rule
.Select General as Type
.Click on Add Rule and then slelect the user profile data and give the value on which you want auto membership.
You can define your rule there.For example
Organization Name= IT
