Provisioning license type to ABAP target systems

Hello there,
I've checked the configuration guide and it seems like there is no official support for the provisioning of license type to users in ABAP target systems. However, the BAPI BAPI_USER_CREATE1 which I believe is the one called by the java connector does support it, so is there a way to make this work?

I want to provision the OIM System Date(date format : "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS") to a target System(DB Type:Oracle).
The Column type in The target System is Date Type.
I use the process adapter and assign the System Date to the Process Data - Date Type Column - in the target System.
it doesn't work.

- That's simple. You have already created this date type variable in your process form. Now pass it in whichever format it is. In your code for creation in oracle, do a date conversion as required using custom code. This would work if you have written your code and you are not using DBApp Tables connector. Do it as follows:
     SimpleDateFormat input = new SimpleDateFormat("OIM_DATE_FORMAT");
     SimpleDateFormat output = new SimpleDateFormat("ORACLE_DB_DATE_FORMAT");
     Date date = input.parse("Pass form date over here");
     return output.format(date); // Pass this value to Oracle
- If its DBApp Table connector then connector must take care of this by itself.

OEM System Builder License Type VS PID Check

I have a question regarding the type of license that are the OEM System Builder one. At work, I have several boxes of Windows 7 Professional OEM System Builder licenses. Basically, it is made of a plastic DVD box wrapped in a thin carton, sealed with a small
red sticker when it's new so that you don't get to take out the plastic box from the carton. Inside the box, there's a manual and the installation DVD of Windows. On the box, there's a OEM CoA sticker that can be pealed off to stick it on a computer's chassis.
In my understanding, these licenses should be OEM CoA licenses. Is that right?
To check a license type, I use this
online PIDchecker.
After checking all my OEM System Builder CoA licenses from this website, I found out that only one was
CoA, the other one being either Retail or
VL:MAK.
I precise that I work in China Mainland and it's rather hard to get genuine products as most of suppliers provide counterfeit licenses, even when ordering PC with genuine Windows OEM license from official brand retailers like Lenovo China. When I catch them
and ask to rectify the situation, they often do so by giving me a OEM System Builder box/license. Even though I know I'm not supposed to be allowed to use these types of license as an end user, I have no choice and it's better than nothing. However, when I
started to work for my current company, several OEM System Builder licenses had already been purchased and I got suspicious of the authenticity of the products, that's why I checked the PID.
So my question is: do the Retail and VL:MAK license types found from OEM System Builder licenses mean that these products are counterfeit?

I'll use MGADiag tool, which I already used before, but I also would liked to check the license before installing them. Is there any official MS tool similar to PID checker, that can check the license just by manually entering it?

When I read about the licensing policy about OEM System Builder on MS official website, I remember that only OEM system builder are allowed to use this kind of kit. That would be either big brands such as Lenovo, Dell, HP or small PC retailers that have an
OEM agreement with MS to install OEM licenses on DIY PC.
OEM System Builder licenses are available to smaller companies or hobbyists/individuals (e.g. design/build-your-own).
"Tier 1" OEM's e.g. Lenovo, HP, Dell, etc, don't use OEM-SB, they use "OEM", and have special tools provided to them by MSFT for implanting product keys within firmware/BIOS.
Tier 1 OEM's sell lots and lots of products with MSFT licenses "attached".

I am getting this coming up in the error log when I attempt to import an unmanaged solution.
After searching on google Type 29 refers to a workflow.
I go into the source system and query the database by the GUID and discover that it is actually a Business Process Flow called 'Phone to Case Process'.
I do not have this process in my target system as I deleted it.
Looks like this is one of the out of the box ones. I don't think we we have changed this one much.
What does this mean and what should I be looking for??
Anyway how do I remove this offending process from the unmanaged solution xml file and attempt to re-import it?
It doesn't look like I can generate the solution again without the offending workflow/process..

Just modify both solution and customizations xml by searching for the guid and removing the root component

Users are created but Roles are not Provisioned in the Target System

Hi,
It would be great if somebody would provided solution to my problem. The problem is when I try to create the Users in Identity Managment UI then the Users are created in the Target systems but the Roles are not provisioned to the Users.
In the provisioning job SetABAPRole&ProfileForUser,
It is says In the Error putNextEntry failed storing
Exception from Modify operation:com.sap.idm.ic.ToPassException: User does not exist

Please note the When we create the User, the user is created however the Roles is not provisioned to the user.

- check \usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS<instance number>\ j2ee folder exists or not
- check your default profile using RZ10 and search for paramater j2ee/*

And this is the strange point: my source system is not a BI and my dataclasses .SQL files are not empty.
Me too i would expect that the files should be empty but instead they are full of object definitions.
For example i have APPL0.SQL that contains a list of all tables of ECC system, for example

Scenario: Manually Purchase Order is created, automatically Sales Order should be created in the Target System through PI,
 I have used Message Mapping which is working fine for single Customer and Vendor,
 For Multiple Customers and Vendors i am using one ZTABLE, Only Message Mapping is not sufficient to my requirement.
 Now i am using both Message Mapping and ABAP Mapping at a time in Interface Mapping. I created the class and done the development., whene i run the scenario i am getting the error as below,

System copy for ABAP+JAVA system using SAPINST method

Dear support,
We have recently upgraded to ECC 6.0 system and we have been still doing system copy by using backup and restore method. I know its wrong.
which involves below steps , this old methos works fine for ABAP engine and evreything looks ok.But java engine will not work.
So we need to use SAPINST method as described in note 785848 and system copy guide available on OSS. But i am really not able to understand sequence
for tasks to be carried out in this SAPINST method.
Can anybody list few sequence along with step by step procedure as i mentioned below for old system copy procedure.
Is it really difficult to make that for SAPINST as everybody says refer to standard guide and note ?
Anybody if possible can make the same way as i did below , i think it would rather be small as far as my understanding after reading those docs.
Simple old system copy procedure works for ABAP is as:
Run the following command on source system.
a. Login as <sid>adm
b. svrmgrl
c. connect internal
d. alter database backup controlfile to trace;
e. exit;
f. Above command will generate a .trc file in /oracle/P01/saptrance/usertrace directory.
g. Copy the text from CREATE CONTROLFILE until the ( and paste it in to any new .sql or controlfile.sql file.
h. Copy the controlfile.sql to target system.
i. Edit the file and replace the entire source SID to target SID.
j. Edit the reuse database command with the set database command
Copy the aft generated during the backup file from the source system to target system. (/oracle/<SID>/sapbackup)
a. Change all the source <SID> to target <SID>.
b. Only don't change the backup volume name it must be target system <SID>.
c. Copy the above aft file name line from the source back<SID>.log to target<SID>.log file.
5. Shutdown the target server instance.
6. From this onwards all the command on the target system only.
a. Login as <SID>adm
b. run the SAPDBA
c. select J (Restore/Recovery)
d. select B (Full restore and recovery)
e. select A (Select backup of type)
f. Select the offline backup which you want to restore.
g. It will take some time to restore.
h. Once the database is restored login as <SID>adm and run the

As per the guide you need to do source system Technical Preparations, in that running the export preparation is also one. You need to run this first before you start the export, if and only if export will successful if preparation is successful.
Yes you need to create the export directory to take the export copy of source system, it may be any where in your server. It should be having 6 to 8 GB free space.No need to create the export directory in target system, after export is completed in the source system you copy the export directory to the target system.
Target system
Yes you need to take the back up file system and delete all the contents of the directory.
Yes it can be considered as fresh system installation but copy of source system.
Yes the process follows after you giving the export directory path .
Next screen you will get the database drop and recreate screen chouse the drop and recreate method

Payment file duplication in target system. Wherein since the Print Job was scheduled twice by user, the duplication of payment had taken place.The payment medium program u201CRFFOAVIS_FPAYMu201D is use to control the generation of duplicate payment file at automatic payment run program(F110).User needs an warning message if print job is schedule twice on same date and same identification number.Has Any one implemented such a scenario.

JDBC-RFC no errors at XI BOX still records were not update at Target system

am doing jdbc to rfc scenario
tested rfc at target R/3 and its working fine,but records were not being updated in jdbc-rfc scenario.
i can see the audit log as success but no record is inserted at the target system
think problem is at FM.

Email to be sent on delivery acknwledgement from target system

Hi all,
We are running on SRM 5.0 (Standalone scenario).We are sending the local PO to the vendor system thorugh XI(SRM>XI>Vendor system).
My reqt is when the PO is sent to the vendor system,a response/message is sent to XI that the PO has been delivered to the Vendor(target) system.At this event(When the message of delivery is recieved in XI),I need to send an email to the Shopping cart requester/creator in SRM stating that "PO has been sent to the vendor".
Can anyone please suggest how this can be done?Is there any std provision in XI for sending an email at the time of successful delivery of the doc/data to the target system?
I am not clear as to what will be the link between XI and SRM system?Can we write a routine in XI to read the XMLmessage to get the PO no and thereafter the SC details??If so,how (As we will be having only the XML message in XI which will contain the PO no)??
Any inputs/help will be appreciated and rewarded!

Password Synchronization from OIM to target systems

Hi All,
Is there any OOTB functionality in OIM9.1.0.1 for password synchronization.
I have a user with multiple IT resources provisioned into his account. Now whenever user changes his password in OIM, I want that to be updated on particular target system which user selects. For ex. If a user has 5 IT resources configured and whenever he changes his password that has to be updated on only 3 IT resources and not all.
As per my understanding each IT resource configured will have some process task for updating the password on target system(Password Update in case of iPlanet resource) which will be triggered if an entry for this is present in USR_TRIGGERS. If I use this kind of approach it will update on all IT resources.
How can I make this dynamic so that the changes are done only to a list of specific IT resources selected by user.

There is no OOTB functionality for the end user to decide which resources get their password changed and when. The OOTB functionality lets you use the Lookup.USR_PROCESS_TRIGGER to define which USR table fields have triggers configured for modification. Then you can create the task associated with the field in any provisioning process definition to insert that task when the field changes.
If you want the user to be able to pick and choose which fields get propagated to which targets, it becomes custom coding.
Off hand, to be able to decide which passwords get propagated to which targets, i might suggest some way for the end user to set the targets before hand because when a user changes their password, it's only the password that is being changed. You are going to need a field somewhere that says "yes this resource will propagate the password". You have 2 locations i can think of to do this, on the USR form as a UDF, or a field no the user's resource profile. Next you need a way to fill in these values. If it's on the USR form, you could put these on the user's self modification page to be able to check and uncheck these per resource. Or you can create a self requestable resource, or organization type requestable that has the list of targets, and the user can choose which ones they want to propagate the password to. You cannot have a dynamic list of targets though of the resource form. It has to be a set defined list. You could however create a child table with a list of all available objects and have them just add them in. Once the selection is done, you will either have these checked, or the provisioning side will update the values.
Now, when the password is changed, and you have your "Change User Password" task running, your adapter will have an input that maps to the UDF field to check if it should pass the new password to the Password Field on the form to trigger the Password Updated task, or return the existing password.
Or you create a custom page that lets you do whatever you want :)

User license type

we are on GRAC 10.1 SP6. Created custom field for user license type for both request form and role attribute, both appear. Also followed the SAP note 1736817 for mapping. Maintained mapping for connector group, assign group field mapping. custom field is mapped to system field name LIC_TYPE, table name IS_UCLASS. The field is available for edit on the request, but when submitted, the value does not populate on the target system. Also would like to have drop-down using ACTIVE field in table TUTYPA. If anyone has successfully done either of these, please respond.

User License for Netweaver as Java system

Hello Experts,
May i know how do i assign user license data to a user id created in UME? Like in ABAP Stack, we can assign the license type profressional using SU01, under tab license data. How do we perform the same thing in JAVA only system?
If the above is possible, how do we extract the ids with license like what we can do in ABAP by using tcode USMM, and export to LAW file ?

Portal doesnt give your to validate User licnese (like SLAW tool inABAP).
