Provisioning Resource to User with childtables

Hi,
I have four child tables for a user resource. They are basically different type of groups for the user. While provisioning resource to the user could we have a logic to show childtable1 and child table2 if user selects an option 'a'; Show childtable3 and childtable4 when user selects option 'b' while doing Provision Resource from OIM?
Please let me know how to achieve this.
Thanks,
Ravi

Added to the previous requirement is there any way where I can configure order of display of childforms?
I mean how can I have childform3 to display first, childform1 second and childform2 in the third place while provisioning resource to the user?
Thanks,
Ravi

  • OIM 11g - automatically provision a user with AD

    Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie with OIM and to begin, I would like to provision a user with my AD directly after we create him on OIM. So I created an Access Policy for the resource AD User with the correct Ad Server and the correct Organization and I affect it for All Users. When I create a new user and I give some additional informations like the address, phone number, email for example, this user is well provisioned on my AD but the only informations which are provisioned are his login, his first name, his last name and none of the others.
I don't understand why. Do I have to set up an adaptater for this ? I've also checked Auto Save and Auto Pre-populate in the Process Definition but I don't know if it's the right thing to do.
If you can help me with this. (I know this is a really "newbie" question but it'll help me a lot to understand OIM basics functionalities)
    Thanks a lot !
    Thibault

I don't think that Oracle has used any kind of Java Code for this. You can simply create Logical task to achieve the same.
Anyways AD Connector comes with two jar files and you can get thsoe JARs from Connector Pack itself or from Database.
Go through Design Console guide for details.
And also for your use case follow steps:
    Go to Form Design
    Search UD_ADUSER
    Create New Version
    Save
    Go to Prepopulate Tab
    Click Add
    Select your attribute
Adapter as ADCS Populate First Name, Rule as Default, Order as integer value say 7
    Save
Do mapping of variable with User Definition > Field Name

  • Provisioning a user with a resource automatically doesn't work!!

Hi Experts – IHAC trying to configure OIM to provisioning a user with a resource automatically (via OID connector).
As reviewed, the membership rules (rules designer) and access policies already configured with correct param. So I would say everything should work fine.
But when they create a new user with proper attribute. The resource didn’t perform an automate process as expected.
In the log file show only 2 lines of error message.
    <Apr 25, 2013 2:49:46 PM ICT> <Warning> <oracle.iam.callbacks.common> <IAM-2030146> <[CALLBACKMSG] Are applicable policies present for this async eventhandler ? : false>
    <Apr 25, 2013 2:49:47 PM ICT> <Warning> <oracle.iam.callbacks.common> <IAM-2030146> <[CALLBACKMSG] Are applicable policies present for this async eventhandler ? : false>
However, manual add resource works well.
    Environment Info:
    - OIM 11gR1 (BP6)
    - OID Connector 9.1
    - AIX 7.1
Is this consider as bug on AIX platform ? Or any inputs would appreciated.

Just check if the rule satisfy, user is getting the role.

  • Error while provisioning resource object to any user

I get below error while trying to provision or reconcile any user to AD resource object. This was working fine till yesterday and suddenly started behaving otherwise.
This error occurs while provisioning to the user i.e., as we de-selected auto save option on the process definition, it does not show up the process form while manually provisioning the resource instead show DOBJ.UPDATE_FAILED error on the web console.
I tried provisioning the resource by removing all the pre-populate adapters from the process form with no luck
This is on OIM 9.1.0.2 BP12
Has anyone faced similar issue before or any pointers to resolve this ??

  • List of Provisioned Resources for a user

    hi
is there a way of Getting list of all the resources that have been provisioned to a particular user through API provided with OIM.
i can to do it through a SQL query but wanted to know if its possible through the OIM API , basically i will pass in the userkey and it should give me list of all the resources that have been provisioned to the user and are enabled.
    thanks

tcUserOperationsIntf.getObjects seems to do exactly just that .

  • How can OIM provision users with same Display Name in AD?

I can create users with same First Name, Middle Name and Last Name (same Display Name) in OIM if they have different UserId.
But I can not provision two users with same Display Name to one Organization Unit in AD, the resource provisioning shows
    Status: Rejected
    Response: AD user already exists
Can AD be configured to create users with same Display Name (different UserId) in one OU, or would I have to create logic in OIM to modify the display name so it gets accepted by AD?
    Thanks!

Thanks Nitesh. Also, I can create the user with same DN in different OU's, not in same OU.
I agree once we determine that same cn exists in one OU , I can modify the display name by appending a number at the end or something. I understand the logic but I need more details on how to specify this logic in the pre-pop adapter, can you please share more details.
    Thanks a lot!

  • How to provision an app for all users with all dependencies?

I have created an app package with VS that I want to provision for all users of a target system using
    DISM /Online /Add-ProvisionedAppxPackage /FolderPath:".\%package%" /SkipLicense
The path contains the content of the *Test folders VS creates when creating store packages. However DISM expects a ".main" file in this folder to work (0xc1570102).
What's the correct way to provision an app with all its dependency packages? (Using the PackagePath option?)

After some further testing in Profile Manager I found that adding the applescript to items that open at logon seems to work. No need for the plist, unless of course I decide not to use Profile Manager at all.

  • OIM 11g create user with API - double resources

    Hello.
We have a custom web client for creating a user in OIM. When we create a user with the OOTB web app (formerly xlWebApp), it creates the user and the Access Policies work correctly to give the user one of each resource.
When we create the user with the API from our custom web app, it tries to assign 2 of each resource to the new user. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Thank you.

    Bump Thanks.

  • How to inner join attribuet from user with system resource on sccm 2012 query

Hi , I am using SCCM 2012. Trying to create a WQL query to get list of computers with department name and netbios names, etc. these are in USER  and SYSTEM RESOURCE  object type seperately. The query wizard doesn't allow me to choose sytem
resource and USER attribute at same time. In JOIN, the inner join also doesn't have SYSTEM RESOURCE attribute class for me to join it with USER attribute class. Any way to resolve this issue so that I can get a query as mentioned?
I tried the wql below and pasted to my test query, it gave an error. I guess it's because that wql is on sccm2007.
    Please advise,thanks!

    Hi,
Try the suggestion by Garth Jones or post a new thread at

I am not familiar with WQL, maybe you could get better help at the forum above.

  • Creating user with extension mobility on prime provisioning 10.5

    Hi All,
Does anyone know any document or have any expirenece on creating user with extension mobility on prime provisioning 10.5?
I'm facing challenges on it, appreciate if you have any document or experience to share with me.
    Thanks,
    Cherry

What sort of issues are you facing?
I'm also having problems, but I think it is system related.
    CUCM is LDAP synced.
When PCP tries to provision Extension Mobility Access, it actually seems to be trying to update the user on CUCM (via AXL) (this fails as it is an LDAP user and the values come from LDAP and cannot be updated)
I've got a tac case open.
Bug details are currently hidden - CSCuo11522 - but this one is extension mobility provisioning issue
There was also mention of another bug related to failures to provision users with directory URI's in their LDAP record. I didn't catch a bug ID for this one though.
    Cheers,
    Tim

  • OIM11gR2 - How can I list users with an SAP User Application Instance?

    Hello,
This is a feature I was used to in OIM9.
Except that in OIM9 the model was a bit different, we had no application instance. We referred to it as a Resource.
Anyway, as an Identity Manager administrator, I wanted to quickly find a user with an specific Resource, e.g. SAP User.
I went to Resources, choose the resource I'm interested in finding the users, then from there I could filter them by Resource Status, either Provisioned, Provisioning, Revoked, Disabled, etc.
Now in OIM11gR2 I can't find an equivalent for this.
From /sysadmin I cant list users from the Application Instances
From /identity I cant search users with a given Application Instance.
Did I miss something? or this cannot be done in OIM11R2.
(Alternatively, I opening SQL Developer and listing the UD_SAP table, but this is obviously not acceptable)
    Thanks for an insight.
    Adr

this is a problem of realm definition.check the config.xml, you've got an invalid realm declared.

  • Failed to modify provisioned resource

Good morning, I created a template request type Self Modify Provisioned Resource and is working ok, I created a template request provisioned resource type and modify the listing when I do nothing of the resources is presented in the application. I have configured for the supervisor / manager can make requests. For example the provision resource type, its provisioning manager manages resources.
    respects

Suppose Resource A is the name of Resource Object
User A is the user who is provisioned into Resource A
Verify your steps which you have executed or create a new template by following below steps:
Resource A is provisioned to User A
Create a template with below info
    Name as Modify
    Type as Modify Provisioned Resource
Allowed Resources : Select your "*Resource A*"
Set Template User Roles: Select ALL USERS, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS roles
After creation of template, go and verify the Resource Information and User Roles information on created template.
Login with XELSYSADM > Request for Others > Select Resource A > Select User A* > Next*

  • Provision Resource through OIM APIS

I am using the OIMClient and the new APIs to provision a resource
I am using the Provisioning Service provision() method. For the Account details how should the AccountData be initialized. It says int he APIs that the AccountData constructor is only for already provisioned accounts.
Please suggest if there is any other way this can be done.

    Try this:
//Account profile data - need not be set if all data is coming from prepop adapters
      HashMap parentData = new HashMap();
      parentData.put("UD_ADUSER_UID","Larry.Jones");
      parentData.put("UD_ADUSER_FNAME","Larry");
      parentData.put("UD_ADUSER_LNAME","Jones");
//Construct account data VO with process form key sdk_key=15
      AccountData objAccountData = new AccountData("15", null, parentData);
//Construct account VO with app instance and account data VO
      Account objAccount = new Account(appInstance, objAccountData);
//Provision the account to user with usr_key=6
      long oiuKey = provisioningService.provision("6", objAccount);

  • Request Provision Resource Customization

    Current Scenario:
A user logs into OIM (11.1.1.3.0) and creates a request for another user. He selects the 'Provision Resource' request template. He selects the user, and then selects the Oracle DB User resource. He then continues to the end of the workflow and submits the request.
    Situation:
I have multiple Oracle databases, at different locations. During this request step, I need to be able to select the appropriate IT resource after having selected the Oracle DB User resource.
    Desired Scenario:
A user logs into OIM (11.1.1.3.0) and creates a request for another user. He selects the 'Provision Resource' request template. He selects the user, and then selects the Oracle DB User resource. Then, depending on whether he needs to be provisioned to DB-A or DB-B, he selects ITResource-A or ITResource-B from a drop-down-list, or some sort of box. He then continues to the end of the workflow and submits the request.
Thank you kindly for any assistance.

There are some Oracle By Examples (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=9830:37:3789900036911568::NO:RIR:IR_PRODUCT,IR_PRODUCT_SUITE,IR_PRODUCT_COMPONENT,IR_RELEASE,IR_TYPE,IRC_ROWFILTER,IR_FUNCTIONAL_CATEGORY:,,OIM,OIM_11g,,,). However, with OIM it's always been learn while learning. It's a very large product, an even more with 11g. Most everyone will tell you the way to learn it is from usage and the headaches it causes. I would suggest you start with a simple connector and working to implement the request data set associated with it. Then try and tweak the dataset to be something different, and get a feel for modifications to the approval side of it, and build on it from there.
Others who have used 11g might be able to provide some insight, you'll just have to wait for their responses.

  • How do you update software when there are multiple users with different (unknown) apple ID's?

We are a college with different users borrowing 'loaner' Macbooks.
several users with different ID's have installed software that is now tied to that Machines serial number, and cannot be updated or removed apparently. We are trying to update iPhoto for use with iBook author, but it was installed by an unknown user and cannot be removed.

The only practical solution is to wipe and re-provision the units when they're returned.
