Proxy access: Missing session string

Hello:
I am having some trouble trying to configure proxy access for all users. When I try to add a user this message appears:
"[EA10] Missing session string"
Notice that I updated the webaccess to sp1 but the poa still remains in the 2012 without sp1. Could be that the reason?
Version of webaccess: novell-groupwise-webaccess-12.0.1-103731
Version of agents: novell-groupwise-agents-12.0.0-98586
Best Regards,

Best Regards,
Yes, you need the POA to also be at SP1.
At least for us, that was the only resolution (regardless of whether "all user" proxy access was given or not. NOBODY could proxy anywhere with the released GW2012 code, once WebAccess was at SP1 level).

  • Missing session string error removeItemsRequest

    I'm logged into the POA and there is a session string but I'm getting this error when I try to use the removeItemsRequest in PHP. All of the getItemRequest and getItemAttachments work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Nevermind, there is a bug in the GroupwiseService.php file in the way it makes the soap call. I pretty much used the way the getItemRequest soap call is made (I think I had this same issue with getAttachment..) and it now works.

  • EA10 Missing session string - Proxying into another account

    Hi there.
    We are getting this error on Webacess 2012 SP2 when proxying into another account.
    Here are the versions of agents:
    novell-groupwise-webaccess-12.0.2-108211
    novell-groupwise-gwha-12.0.2-108211

    novell-groupwise-agents-12.0.2-108211
    Can't find any logic on this error because we have users using diferent browsers without error and users using same browser with error.
    This is reported as bug fixed in GW2012 SP2 as BUG 770879 but we are on latests version and getting the error.
    Any idea on this?

    It came to our attention that the error only occurred in Portuguese browsers (we use english and portuguese).
    In fact, nobody told me that Bug 770879 is resolved, i just saw it in a Bug Fix List https://www.novell.com/documentation...ugfixlist.html

    Maybe someone know what is wrong in wsdl file and how to correct this?

    Hi Marcus,
    Did you fix the problem?
    I'm asking because I'm dealing with the same problem! I tried to generate a Proxy object from a WSDL document and I can't... I always receive the error "Cannot generate proxy (object  missing in WSDL, see long text)". I have checked on the service.sap.com and I found a xls document with all unsupported WSDL elements and one of them is the "part name=" and I have it in my WSDL! I don't know how to workaround this issue, can you help me please?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ricardo.

    In a request response pipeline of the OSB Proxy, the header/body variable contents will remain intact, unless until they are explicitly altered. Hope this give you more insight to solve the issue you are facing.

  • Weblogic EJB 3 proxy & EJB 3 session bean interface

    Does the weblogic EJB 3 session bean proxies implement the bean interface ?
    I tried accessing the session bean from within a EJB 3 interceptor - InvocationContext.getTarget()
    But it looks like this returns a proxy (created by weblogic internally) that does not implement the bean interface.
    I'm unable to integrate Hibernate method validator as a result since the validator API expects the target to either be the actual bean implementation or at least a proxy
    that implements the bean interfaces. Can somebody please confirm ?
    I'm on weblogic 10.3
    thanks!

    You should be able to see the code we generate by running the weblogic.appc utility on your application, specifying the "-keepgenerated" option to keep the Java source files.

  • Can we access the session scoped variable by simply using its name

    The Java EE 6 Tutorial contains a "Duke's Bookstore Case Study Example”. I could not understand following statements of this case study:
    *bookdetails.xhtml*
    {code}
    <h:outputText value="#{selected.title}"/>
    {code}
    *BookstoreBean.java*
    {code}
    public String details() {
    context()
    .getExternalContext()
    .getSessionMap()
    .put(
    "selected",
    getFeatured());
    return ("bookdetails");
    {code}
    I want to know can we access the session scoped variable in bookdetails.xhtml by simply using its name as done above?

    It is basic Expression Language (EL) functionality, it isn't even specific to JSF. And it isn't specific to the session scope either, you can put beans in any scope (page, request, session, application, flash, conversation, whatever custom scope you create) and reference it using EL by only its name. The thing that you have to take care of is that the bean lives in SOME scope, which can be achieved using JSF specific annotations or configuration files, through CDI or by manually putting the bean in a specific scope through Java code. It's flexible, which is the nature of the Java platform.

  • Accessing Managed Session Bean in Servlet Filter

    I wrote a Servlet Filter to handle user authentication. Now I'm trying to access my Managed Session Bean in the filter in order to save the current user. Unfortunately the Session Bean is created after the Filter executes for the first time.
    I'm trying to access the Session Bean in this way:
    (SessionBean) FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap().get("sessionBean");
    In this case getExternalContext() is equals null.
    Is there any way to create the Session bean before the filter executes or any other ideas how to handle this?
    I already searched around the internet but couldnt figure out something.
    Thanks guys,
    Paul

    Ok, fixed it like this. Works perfect. JSF finds and uses the handmade Session Bean as well.
    if(request.getSession().getAttribute(BeanNames.SESSION_SCOPE_BEAN) == null) {
         SessionBean sessionBean = new SessionBean();
         request.getSession().setAttribute(BeanNames.SESSION_SCOPE_BEAN, sessionBean);
    }Thanks,

  • No read access to field string MKPF in SLIN

    Hi Friends,
    while checking my program through extended program check it is giving warning message as "No read access to field string MKPF" in the TABLES statement. How to correct this?

    Hi
    The system is just only giving warning as if said to you:
    - Hey Abaper! You have declared to use the headerline of MKPF, but perhaps you aren't using it. Check your code and if you don't use you delete that declaretion.
    So if you don't use MKPF in your program, you can delete the declaretion, if you use it you can do nothing or you put the string "#EC NEEDED at the end of declaretion. If you do it, while checking program through extend program check, the system skips that message and doesn't show you.
    We often use header line of dictionary table only to do an existence query, in this case the system can give that warning message.
    For example:
    TABLES: BKPF.
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM BKPF WHERE BUKRS = P_BUKRS
                                AND BELNR = P_BELNR
                                AND GJAHR = P_GJAHR.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
      WRITE: 'Hello'.
    ENDIF.
    So I made a query on bkpf, but after I haven't read or used its headerline, so the system give me that message.
    If I write:
    SELECT SINGLE BUKRS FROM BKPF INTO P_BUKRS
                              WHERE BUKRS = P_BUKRS
                                AND BELNR = P_BELNR
                                AND GJAHR = P_GJAHR.
    IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
      WRITE: 'Hello'.
    ENDIF.
    I've done the same thing but now I haven't declared to use the headerline BKPF and so the system won't give me that warning message.

  • Accessing the Query String parameter from a portlet

    Hi!
    I have developed a PDK portlet in Jdev 10.1.3.3 for Web Center (Just for testing, later it'll go on Oracle Portal 10.1.4). I am trying to access the query string parameter coming in the URL but not successfull at all. Following are the options that I have tried in vain :
    In MyPDkPortletShowPage.jsp with *<passAllUrlParams>true</passAllUrlParams>*
    1.) PortletRenderRequest pReq = (PortletRenderRequest) request.getAttribute(HttpCommonConstants.PORTLET_RENDER_REQUEST);
    pReq.getParameter("data");
    2.) request.getParameter("data");
    3.) request.getAttribute("data")
    This makes me ask that is there any other way to access the parameter or is it simply not possible?
    Please suggest!
    Regards,
    Neeraj.

    Hi Neeraj:
    I didn't deal with web center before i am working on Oracle Portal 10.1.4 so if you done that on oracle portal and got the same problem check for this?
    - add the parameter in the page parameter then you will get the value from either preq.getParameter or from request.getParameter,just go to page properties and add a page
    parameter called data
    - did you publish your page containing your portlet as portlet and included it in other page or it is just a page containing this portlet?

    ok, I went back and made a new database but changed the character set / collation... aside from that change, everything is the same, but I get an error saying that the datasource could not be found when I can see all the tables in intermedia's phpmyadmin page... would changing the character set / collation cause this error?

  • Forms6i Accessing HTTP Session Object in APache JServ

    I want to create an HTTP session object via a servlet in Apache JServ. This session object contains user profile data as well as session context information. The servlet will redirect the user to the forms6i listener servlet. Can the Forms servlet access the session object and retrieve/modify its values? Does Forms6i provide APIs to do this natively?

    Maybe the Java Importer is what you are looking for.
    You can use it to call the servlet from within forms and get the information you need.(But only after forms is running).
    look at the Java integration section on Forms section of otn.

  • What is the best way or best practise to access the session scoped component in servelt pipeline?

    Hi Experts,
    What is the best way or best practise to access the session scoped component in servelt pipeline?
    Please share your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    ankV

    To resolve components in the session scope you should be using DynamoHttpServletRequest.resolveName(). And of course the DynamoHttpServletRequest can also be used to resolve global and request scoped components so it is pretty handy to use. You can get the DynamoHttpServletRequest request associated with the current thread from ServletUtil.getCurrentRequest().
    You can also reference a session scoped component from another session (or request) scoped component's property file. E.g. to access profile component (which is session scoped) from your custom session scoped component you would typically do this:

  • Setup proxy access

    Is there a way to setup email proxy access on somebody elses account,
    without logging into that groupwise account? That is, I need to assign some
    people proxy access on somebody elses account.

    Alright, let's try a different angle.
    In Console One (current version), if I click on a user account, then select
    the Groupwise tab, then select the [View Client Options] button which is
    next to the [Change GroupWise Password] button, and on the window that comes
    up I select the PASSWORD tab, about half way down is a box to use eDirectory
    authentication instead of password. I understand what that does, but to the
    right of that is a box with the picture of a unlocked padlock, followed by
    the picture of a domain (globe), but SOME accounts it shows the unlocked
    padlock, followed by the User symbol (little red person). What is the
    difference and how is it changed?
