Proxy service disable problem in OSB

Hi All,
I have two proxy services in a OSB project (one with OWSM policy and other without OWSM policy applied to it). Apart from this the two proxy services are implemented in the exactly same way. When I disable the proxy service to which OWSM policy is attached, and when I click the WSDL of the disabled proxy in browser it is automatically being redirected to the wsdl of other proxy service which doesn't have OWSM policy attached to it. I don't understand how it's happening. The only reason that I could think of is namespace of wsdl's which is different for both proxies (one has http://company.com/service and other is http://company.com/service/). Can anybody explain this issue?
Adi

Vlad,
The URL is same, but the content from the wsdl of Proxy service which doesn't have OWSM policy attached to it. Ideally it should display 404 error when the proxy is disabled, but on the contrary it is displaying the content of other Proxy service which has endpoint similar to this.
The only difference in the endpoints between the two services is:
Proxy with OWSM: B2B/Gateway/Legacy
Proxy without OWSM: B2B/Gateway
I've cleared the cache memory in IE. Even asked other's to open it in their systems.
Thanks,
Adi

  • OSB Proxy Service does not want to display on the browser

Hi guys, can you please help with this one
I have created a business service that calls a webservice tha is housed inside my weblogic domain. The business service is then called by a proxy service. The business and the proxy service make use of the same wsdl that ensures that they both comform to the structure of the soap envelope.
When I debug both the business and the proxy service from inside the osb console, I get a positive result. Now the problem arises when I call the proxy service directly from the browser, I get a BEA-380001 error. http://localhost:8001/ProxServiceProj/RicaPS
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

    </soapenv:Envelope>
The proxy service has a route node that routes to the business service. I did not do anything that will affect the response, so there are no request actions or response actions. I have even tried adding a pipeline pair that has a stage on the response, this stage does nothing though as I do not know what to do with it.
Based on the information I have gathered from the net, it might be a transport header problem, that is related to the response-pipeline. So does anyone know what the potential problem could be? Is there anything that I was supposed to do?
    O..

    Hey guys,
any suggestions? This is the actual error that gets thrown when I check the logs:

  • Local transport proxy service vs http proxy service

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me why it is better to use Local transport proxy service in OSB than http for modularity?

    Hi Atheek,
    Thanks for you reply.
My doubt is where local transport proxy service is deployed?
Like if we invoke a http based proxy service which is deployed at certain Endpoint and jms based proxy service is deployed as MDB which kepps listening to a queue.
Similarly, when i invoke local transport proxy service where and how OSB runtime looks for it?

  • How to disable query-string evaluation in OSB proxy service?

OSB 10.3 proxy service evaluates the query String ?WSDL (are there more such parameters?). Usually the assigned WSDL will be returned this way.
I want to use OSB as simple HTTP-proxy. There is no WSDL assigned. The proxy service should simply pass all parameters to the request pipeline. This works fine for parameters in general but not for WSDL. This produces the exception below.
Does anyone have an idea how to disable this query string evaluation within OSB proxy service?
    Thanks

    Daniel,
http://hostServer/contextpath?WSDL is common way of retrieving WSDL for service whcih supports one. The case you are suggesting is if the service does not have any wsdl associated, then it is good practice that caller be notified appropriately which is being done by OSB. OSB is indicating that the service for which we have used ?wsdl has no wsdl associated.
I guess there is no way we can disable this feature for un-typed OSB services (services which doesn't have wsdl associated). Any reason why would we don't want exception when '?wsdl' is used?

  • OSB - Problem using the Service Callout control in a proxy service

    Greetings,
Using a Service Callout control in a proxy service requires to check one of the following two options: Configure SOAP Body or Configure Payload Document. Both require to write SOAP code and to assign it to variables that will be used in the Service Callout control. I found quite inconsistent to have to write SOAP code in order to use a tool which is supoposed to avoid writing Java code. In this case I largely prefer to write Java code and doing things manually. Is there any other way to use this control ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Nicolas

I'll try to explain again, however it seems very clear. I'm using a Service Callout control in order to call a JAX-WS web service. This web service is using a "document" style, of course. Consequently, all its operations (messages) are document-centric and they have only one parameter: the document. In order to use tha Service Callout control, one has to construct the <siap:body> element, to assign it to a variable and to provide the name of this variable in the Request Body test field of the Service Callout Properties dialog. Accortdingly, one needs to assign something like:
    <soap:Body xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <osb:myOperation xmlns:osb="http://www.simplex_software/fr/">
    <osb: .../>
    <osb:myOperation>
    </soap>
Now, for those who have understood what I'm talking about, here come the question ? Is that the only way to use the Service Callout control ? If yes, this control is useless. If no, what is the other way to use the control in the given context while avoiding providing a <sopa:body> written manually ?

    Hi ,
In proxy service master , carry out steps in different stages to have better audit trail
    1. Assign your input payload(request stack) to a variable($request)
    2. Use a Service Callout action to call open session business service and provide the request payload[username & password] for Business Service from the stored variable($request or $body ) using xpath expressions. U need to store the Business Service resoponse in a variable ($responseBS)
    3. Then i think u need to call another recharge Business Service, again use a Service callout action and do the same as for above callout using $ request and $responseBS variable to construct your payload.
    4. Use a route action at the end to call closesession business service, use $responseBS to have sessionOutput.

  • OSB Proxy Service routing

    Hi,
I have a simple Proxy Service which consumes messages from a remote endpoint queue (source queue). The Proxy Service simply routes consumed messages to a Business Service which puts messages into another remote endpoint queue (destination queue).
When I test passing a message to the Proxy Service using the OSB's Test Console, the Proxy Service routes the message to the Business Service okay where the message is then placed into the remote endpoint queue (destination queue) as expected. But, if I put a message into the remote source queue, I can see that the message gets consumed by the Proxy Service but the message remains as 'pending' and, either the Proxy Service does not route the message to the Business Service or, the Business Service does not put the message into the remote destination queue. What could the problem be?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    Hello,
Still looking for an answer to this.
    Scenario:
When enabled, OSB Proxy Service removes any messages placed in remote endpoint URI queue, but it seems the messages do not flow within the Proxy Service's message flow itself. When the Proxy Service is enabled, the messages in the remote queue get removed but are seen to stay in a 'pending' state. When the Proxy Service is disabled, the messages get put back in the queue. What are the possible reasons as to why messages would not get processed within the Proxy Service's message flow? All the message flow does is, route the messages to a Business service which then sends the messages to another remote endpoint URI queue.
PS: When a message is injected into the Proxy Service via the Test Console, the message flows/routes to Business Service okay without problems so I assume that the problem must lie in the inital remote queue/Proxy Service interface somewhere. Maybe permissions or transaction related issue? But I can't see any hints to anything wrong in configurations or server(s) logs...
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

  • Probem attaching OWSM Policy to OSB Proxy Service

    Hi all,
I am working with OSB 11g R1 and I am trying secure one proxy service by attaching one OWSM predefined policy. However, the "OWSM Policy Binding" is disabled in the Policy section of the proxy service.
I found this thread in the forum [1] wich seems to have the same problem and I have checked that all the extensions are installed in my domain.
Sure I missing something but I haven't found anything in the docs.
Any tip or hint is appreciated
    Thanks in advance
    My enviroment:
    - Weblogic Server (10.3.4.0)
    - Oracle Service Bus (11.1.1.4)
    - Oracle Service Bus OWSM Extension (11.1.1.0)
[1] OWSM Policy Binding Disabled for proxy/business server with SOAP 1.1

I presume you already did a fresh restart of the managed servers?Yeap, I've restarted the OSB server.
Looking at the logs I can find this message:
    +####<Jul 27, 2011 1:25:52 PM CEST> <Info> <Common> <mydomain.com> <osb_server1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<anonymous>> <> <0000J5fLsXLFw0WFLzNM8A1EBzMW000001> <1311765952760> <BEA-000628> <Created "1" resources for pool "mds-owsm", out of which "1" are available and "0" are unavailable.>+
So I understand that the pool is created correctly, isn't it?

  • OSB Proxy Service not Polling Email

    Hi Guys,
I am facing a strange problem in OSB.I have created a OSB Proxy which polls for new emails and based on some logic write attachments to shared file location.
Everything is working fine. But after sometime when there is no new mail in the mailbox, and after say 3 to 4 hrs new mail comes,my proxy service doesn't poll those mails.
But when I disable and then enable the proxy Service again ,it starts polling again. Its happening consistently now.Cant understand what the issue is why it stops polling mailbox after sometime and start polling again after disabling and enabling PS.
    Plesae help.

Maybe you run into an MS Exchange server bug (for MS Exchange 2007 and 2010). See http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/faq-135477.html :
Q: I'm having trouble logging into my Microsoft Exchange server, even though I'm sure I'm using the correct username and password, what could I be doing wrong?
A: When logging in to Exchange you need to use a username that's more than your simple login name. For example, if your email address is "[email protected]", your Windows NT login name is "juser", your NT domain name is "dom", and your Exchange mailbox name is "Joe User", then you would need to use a username of "dom\juser\J.User" when logging in using JavaMail.
Note also that there's a bug in Exchange 2007. The Exchange server advertises that it supports AUTH=PLAIN, even though this Exchange documentation claims that it's not supported. This causes JavaMail to choose PLAIN authentication, which will always fail. To work around this Exchange bug, set the session property "mail.imap.auth.plain.disable" to "true". (Change "imap" to "imaps" if you're using the "imaps" protocol.)
We have this problem. No idea how to set these properties in OSB. Maxbe to write our own transport provider...

  • Extracting MIME attachment from email using OSB proxy service - email transport

    Hi,
I'm reading email messages(multipart/mixed) with attachments(pdf, zip, xml and csv) from MS Exchange Server 2010 using OSB proxy service email transport.I need to save the attachments to a local folder and process one of the attachments, an XML file. Below is the proxy service config.
    Proxy Service Configuration (Test1/Proxy Services/GetEmail)
    Actions:
    General Configuration
    Service Type   Messaging Service
    Message Type Configuration
    Request Message Type
    Text
    Response Message Type
    None
    Transport Configuration
    Protocol   email
    Endpoint URI   mailfrom:mailserver.net:143
    Get All Headers   No
    Headers
    EMAIL Transport Configuration
    Email Protocol   imap
    Service Account   Test1/Proxy Services/email_acc
    Managed Server   WLS_OSB1
    Polling Interval   30
    Read Limit   2

    Pass Attachments By Reference   false
    Post Read Action   move
    IMAP Move Folder   processed

    Request Encoding   iso-8859-1
    Message Handling Configuration
    Transaction Required   Disabled
    Same Transaction For Response   Disabled
    Content Streaming   Disabled
The polling is working fine. I've encoded the attachment variable to Base64 using a java callout.$attachments/ctx:attachment/ctx:body/ctx:binary-content has been passed as the byte[] input to the java method and the response is captured in $encodedAttachment. I've created a SaveFile BS(file type) with Request Message Type = Binary and Response Message Type = None. I've tried replacing the node ./ctx:binary-content in body variable with encodedAttachment in the request action of the Publish action to call the BS. One file is getting created with contents of the entire email, MIME headers and boundary parts along with the base64 encoded attachments.
    <Contents from the created file>

If I put a delete action in the request to Publish action for SaveFile BS to delete the $attachments, the created file contains only the email body part and the attachment boundary part is missing.
I've uploaded the OSB log with full trace enabled.
How can I pass the  encodedAttachment to the BS for saving the files?
Would iterating through the $aatachment/ctx:attachment give me the individual attachments for saving and processing, as there are separate binary-content refs in them?
Any help to achieve my requirement is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Manoj,
Thanks for the quick reply to my query.
The thing is, the link you have provided talks more from changing the business Service configurations i.e. the type of the service etc, but the concern is, that the Business Service is already Implemented and hence the change would not be an appropriate option for me.
Please let me know, if any more information is required.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Is it possible to make an OSB Proxy service offline/online based on BS

    JMS QUEUE
    |
    |_____ Proxy Service <-------->Business Service <---------> External System URL
I have a configuration as shown above.
There is a way to make the Business Service offline/online based on the External system URL being offline/online by setting the
Business service-> Operational Settings->Offline Endpoint URIs with a timesatmp.
Is it possible to make the state of the proxy service to enabled/disabled based on this state of BS based on external enpoint URI?
This is a requirement such that the messages in the JMS queue doesnot get lost or consumed when the external system is offline.
    Thanks in Advance!

I have thought about this. There are some problems here....
I cannot use the same proxy to invoke the java callout and then based on the code or handler disable it, since
    1) i would have no way to enable back the proxy again.
    2) Also there is some amount of message loss.
So i will have to use another proxy to do the same, but in this case
    1) what would be the trigger to this proxy?
    2) And how often do i invoke the java callout to see if the URI is up or not? (wouldnt that affect the performance?)
I am just wondering why did they give an offline URI option in the business service and no similar option in the proxy service, Any Idea?
    Thanks

  • File Proxy Service Problem on errors

    In continuation of this thread...
File Proxy Service Problem on errors
We are now facing two problems.
1.The proxy service is executed twice
2.File is getting moved to error directory with prefixed file names which we are not able to retrieve and use in the notification email.
Not sure how to fix :(

1.The proxy service is executed twice Check if this is due to transaction timeout issue as discussed here. Re: OSB File polling working twice with the same file
2.File is getting moved to error directory with prefixed file names which we are not able to retrieve and use in the notification email.I am not sure wehther you have any option here. You can check with support. Alternatively can raise notification mail with the timestamp and some file/business identifier from the file. The support person can then open the file from error directory to verify the file/business id in the file or educate the support user that the files will have a prefix

  • OSB 11g proxy service test console fail with Broken pipe

    Hi everyone.
I have a strange problem with OSB test console (and sometime with java client). The proxy I built cannot response after several request. In other word, I tried to test console for dozens time, sometime I cannot have response from OSB. I wait for the response for 5 minutes and get some strange exception, that is broken pipe, but error code is not unique.
I cannot understand why my proxy service stuck in that exception. Can you help me to solve it ?
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
P/S: that is log record on server:

    Hi, everyone.
This is my proxy service that was tested above. Can you show me some instructions for tuning it? On these day, I get many bad performance responses from that service.

  • OSB Proxy Service remote Endpoint URI

    Hi,
I have configured a new Proxy Service in OSB where the endpoint URI points to a JMS Queue on a remote Weblogic Server. But when I look at the OSB server's log, it is showing the following WARNING message: *'Please ensure the destination is available at the JNDI name QUEUE_JNDI_NAME.'*. Is there any other information that the OSB Server requires in order to consume messages from a remote server's queue other that its endpoint URI?
Thanks in advance for any advise on this.

The problem was that the endpoint URI had two ip:port endpoints (i.e. jms://192.168.1.1:7001,192.168.1.1:7003/...) and the 2nd ip:port endpoint didn't have any information about the queue. So for now, I've removed the 2nd ip:port from the URI and will include it again once the admin for that server sets up the queue within it correctly.
    Cheers.
