Proxying the Oracle Maven Repository with Artifactory/Nexus/Archiva

Hi Folks,
We are aware that some of you would want to proxy the Oracle Maven Repository with repository managers like Artifactory and Nexus.  We have tested the three common ones, and found that they all need small patches to understand the authentication we are using.   We are working with them to patch these issues.  We will let you know the JIRA ID's for these issues when they are available.  If you want to help, you can upvote the issues, or if you are using commercial versions, you could contact your representative to let them know you want these patches.
Best regards,
Mark Nelson

Hi Mark,
I found this article late, but better then newer. Also Steve Button informed about Oracle Maven and situation at:
https://blogs.oracle.com/WebLogicServer/entry/weblogic_server_and_the_oracle
Once Sonatype released Nexus version with fixed follwing issue:
https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/NEXUS-7915
I directly compiled and the result is available at:
https://github.com/archenroot/nexus-oss/releases/tag/nexus-2.11.2-01
In the moment there is already binary bundle provided directly by Sonatype with version 2.11.2-04, so you can proxy it, that is working fine, still one bug is there. When trying to open remote storage there appear follwoing issue:
to URI: /nexus/service/local

not a problem with BEA , just means your database has been configured to close your session after a period of inactivity(which is normal).
Check you connection pool testing settings and tune accordingly.

  • Using Maven repository with ADF

    Hi all,
I have been doing a bit of puttering around with Maven in the past few weeks. As we all know, the Oracle ADF libraries are not available on any of the public Maven repositories. Now, this is not a problem, as we can create an individual/corporate Maven repository for those libraries.
My question: is there any effort underway, either inside of Oracle or out, to standardize the "coordinates" for these libraries in the Maven repository hierarchy? I'm thinking of creating a personal/corporate repostitory with these libraries, and if there is a standard for how they should be named, that would save me time in the future event that Oracle decides to host a Maven repository for their libraries (for instance).
    Best regards,
    John

  • Need help in configuring the Oracle app server with OC DB Server

    Hello people
I attempted to insta;; Oracle Clinical 4.5 and I have a problem that you mayhave resolved a long time back and I need some help. This is what I have done on the installation.
I need your help in centralizing my tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora files. I am an Oracle Clinical guy and not an Oracle Expert, hence the request.
    Part_1
    1. Installed Oracle 9i 9.2 database on Win2K server - W2kOCSVR
    2. Installed Oracle Clinical 4.5 and created DB on W2KOCSVR.
    3. Started up database and all is fine - tnsnames and sqlnet.ora
    4. Each of these is on a separate partition including the OS.
    Part-II
    1. Installed Oracle Appl Server 9iAs 1.0.2.2.2a on another machine OCMIDTIER. This installed Oracle iSuites home and stuff.
    2. Then I installed Oracle 9i developer suite - Oracle forms and reports.
    3. Installed Jinitiator 1.1.8.24 on the middle tier machine.
    4. Basically this is the middle tier that is a Webserver that will be linked to the Database Server in Part-I
and lastly, I will have web clients with Jinitiator and a web browser.
    Requirement:
I need to centralize the TNSNAMES.ora file and the SQLNET.ora file on all the machines. How do I do this?.
I have the TNSNAMES.ora and the SQLNET.ora on DB server and it is working fine. However, I have noticed many tsnnames.ora files on the middle tier - OCMIDTIER. (I've left out the example files)
    a) E:\ORACLE\806\net80\admin\tnsnames.ora
    b) E:\ORACLE\806\net80\tnsapi\tnsnames.ora
    c) E:\ORACLE\iSuites\hs\admin\tnsnames.ora
    d) E:\ORACLE\iSuites\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
All I need to know is which if these files do I need to integrate with the Tnsnames.ora file on the DB server - W2kOCSVR and how do I go about doing this?.
Your help is appreciated. If I were to see a copy of your tnsnames.ora on the webserver (middle tier) and the sqlnet.ora, I will be able to get an idea of how this is done. Right now, I am using tnsnames.ora but once I learn how this ties up, I can move to names sever.
    Thanks for your help.
    Cecil

    Hi Cecil,
I got into the same issue. I copied the content from the good tnsnames.ora to tnsnames.ora on webserver and it worked fine. I copied the details of the connect string that was working fine on dbserver. i was working on W2k server. Hope this helps

  • Does current Oracle Maven Repo supports 11.1.1.7 ADF JDeveloper ?

    Hi All
Does current Oracle Maven Repo (OMP) supports 11.1.1.7 ADF JDeveloper ?
What's the minimum JDeveloper version that OMP currently support ?
    Thanks

Right now, the Oracle Maven Repository only contains artifacts to support ADF 12.1.3.  We will be adding newer versions as they become available but there are currently no plans to add support for 11g-based releases.

  • Certified Operating Systems for use with Oracle Designer Repository

    Hi all,
We have Oracle Designer Repository version 10g(9.0.4.3.14) installed on Microsoft Windows 2000. As our OS and Network team is going to migrate the OS from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003, I want to know if Windows 2003 is certified for our Designer version or not.
    Thanks in advance.
    Iman

I think you misunderstood Mark's statement. Oracle Designer has two distinct but tightly related parts. One is the Oracle Designer Client, which is a client/server application that only runs on Microsoft Windows. The latest versions are certified for Windows XP R3, but you'll have to check the current certification matrix to see on what OSs your version of the Designer client are certified.
The other part is the Oracle Designer Repository. This is a set of tables, views and stored procedures that are installed in an Oracle database. The Oracle database can be on any OS or hardware for which that version of the database is certified. There is a certification matrix to show the certified versions of OS and database, and a separate matrix to show certified combinations of database and repository.
The Oracle Designer Repository and the Oracle Designer client must be matched, but basically, if you run the Repository Administration Utility against a lower version of the repository, it will give you an option to upgrade the repository to the version that is compatible with your client. If you run against a higher version of the repository, it just won't work, and you'll have to upgrade your client.
Unfortunately, the certification matrices seem to have disappeared from OTN, so they are only available through My Oracle Support.

  • Where is the maven repository for Grizzly servlet webserver?

    Folks,
I need to download Maven dependency grizzly-servlet-webserver. I have browsed a number of websites to see how people are defining the dependency in their pom.xml file. It is confusing to see people using different group-ids and different versions. My questions are:
    1. Where is the final Maven repository for grizzly-servlet-webserver?
    2. What is the group id for grizzly-servlet-webserver?
    3. What is the latest version of grizzly-servlet-webserver?
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards,
    Peter

Is it really that difficult? I type in "grizzly webserver" in google and get the java.net page for it.
    http://grizzly.java.net/
Now in ONE CLICK I got the Maven documentation. I repeat: ONE CLICK.
If you want to have certainty go to the source, not a programming forum!

This seems to be caused primarily because the oracleReleases maven repository is down, but unfortunately it also produces a HTML error message that completely confuses maven.
As this now affects almost all our builds, is there anything we can do to prevent that?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

Is this perhaps something that you should be discussing in the Java forums?
I'd suggest you look at http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=19

  • JEE application - Maven repository server

I'm developing JEE application with Maven based build system. Planning to use some maven repository server(artifactory from jFrog or Archiva). My basic question is, none of them store the jars(artfacts we upload to repository server) in file system. They use Derby or providing other DB option. What is the value add going for DB to store the artifacts instead of file system? Is there any maven repository server based on file system? I hope file system pretty much sufficient to store & retrieve the artifacts. Any ideas/pointers? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Any answers? Thanks.
