PSE 9 pano won't fill edges

when i create a pano in PSE9, it asks me if i want to fill the edges. I say yes, and then it tells me there's not enough RAM. Here's the ridiculous part: i'm running a Win7 64 bit Dell with 9gb (yes, NINE) GB of RAM. how much RAM does it need? I don't know many people running more than 9GB!

I have a system with 8gb of ram and had to set the ram usage to 80%
for photoshop elements 9. After that, i don't get the out of ram message any more.
The thing is, even though you have 9gb of ram, pse9 is a 32bit application and
can only use so much ram, around 2.5 gb on a 64 bit system.
You can change the amount of ram to let pse9 use in Edit>Preferences>Performance.

Apple TV 2 won't fill the TV screen

My ATV 2 won't fill the entire TV screen. It just plays in a small rectangle within the entire screen. I've tried adjusting the video settings. It is a 1080p HDTV. When I set the ATV to 480 it fills the screen. When I set it to 720 or auto it does not fill the screen. Ideas?

Have you tried changing the zoom setting on your TV? Our TV's remote has a button called "P. Size" (for "picture size") which toggles through various modes like "16:9", "screen fit", "4:3", "wide", etc. If that works, be sure to set the AppleTV's mode back to auto.

Got a new monitor and web sites won't fill it up without zooming in, there are blank collumns on both sides of the screen.

I got a new monitor recently and the websites won't fill up the screen. There are columns without any images or text on both sides of the screen with the webpage centered. It's not a problem with the computer because offline things look just fine. I can zoom in to where it fits, but really don't want to have to do that every time I go to a new site. Thanks

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

Image won't "Fill"

I have a batch of photos I need to get finished asap and my Photoshop won't "fill" on some of them. They all need to be the same background which I've sampled and set as my foreground color. But when I go to Edit-Fill-Set as Foreground, nothing happens. It actually won't fill with ANY color. HELP!!!!

Try resetting the tools then if that don't work reset your preferences. Also make sure you have the latest update installed of photoshop.

Connecting Macbook to Sony Bravia 32" - Won't fill screen and not clear

I just picked up a Mini-DVI > DVI and DVI > HDMI cord today from my local Apple Store and hooked up my Macbook to my new Sony Bravia 32" HDTV. Unfortunately, I having some problems setting it up. My issues are:
- I'm not sure how to make my TV the MAIN and ONLY display. I'd like to play games like WoW and watch movies from iTunes on it with the best possible quality and resolution.
- When connected, the image doesn't fill the whole TV perfectly. It either gets cut off or has black borders. Using the TV's zoom fuction just distorts the image further and possibly cuts off the edges.
- The quality is less than what I was hoping for. Text is hard to read and pixilated and images just don't look that great. I suspect this might be because it's not filling the whole screen but I am unsure.
I'd really appreciate detailed instructions on how to deal with the software side of this since my connection is fine.

As for the screen quality issue, does your TV's manual mention anything about making a computer connection? Does it say to use the VGA port or is HDMI supported for computer use? Also, do you know the TV's native resolution? If it is a 1366 x 768 native panel in the TV, then don't run it at 1920 x 1080 interlaced. That's too high. It will look best if run at it's natvie resolution.
As for the picture being either too big or too small, that is called overscan. Many newer Sony's have a setting called "Full" under the Wide Mode setting that gets rid of overscan.

Itunes won't fill in missing information automatically

Until now, my itunes always filled in missing information automatically, as i type in the first letters of the genre, the album or the artist... Now it suddenly stopped. It still works when i go on "go info", as when i select several songs i want to edit genre of, but when i do it directly on the playlist it won't work anymore.
Does anyone have the same problem? and does someone know what to do about it/how to change it back?
I didn't change any settings, and i already checked in preferences but nothing like autofill (un-)checking.
All i know is that it started a few days ago, i guess when i updated my itunes. well it updated kinda automatically i just clicked yes. But i mean i didn't do anything wrong, this thing is updating every two months!
This not-filling-in thing is really annoying because well, guess i don't need to explain why...
So when you know how to change it back please tell me!!

It sounds like you need to restore your ipod using the latest ipod software. Once you restore the ipod sync it back with itunes and it will allow you to set it up again. Use article 60983(click on support and enter that number in the search menu) when restoring the ipod, it will guide you through the process.

PSE V.8 won't open on yosemite because "license stopped working". How do I fix this?

PSE 8 won't open in yosemite. A dialogue box says that "license stopped working". I have tried to follow the steps on the Adobe support site but cannot find the FlexNet Publisher.

Acrobat, Preview and forms that won't fill properly

Firstly, I apologize if this is in the wrong place.... I can't find anywhere suitable.
I have been sent some PDF forms to fill in, and I did so in Preview. All looks OK, except two of the fields can't be typed in.
I filled them in and also 'printed' a PDF and sent them off to the user. They are on a PC and have said that the forms I saved have all the fields showing as blank, and the printed forms can't be edited, but my input can be seen.
I tried to use Adobe Reader, but it won't allow any changes.
I tried to buy Adobe Acrobat for the Mac, but Adobe say it's only available in CS4 which I can't afford!
Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I'm going to have to do quite a bit of this form filling, and have no way to do it so that a PC user can access them.

This is a known problem with Preview and Acrobat, and the problem is on the Preview end. There is a script that can be run from within Acrobat, which will make the fields reappear. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do within Preview.

PSE 7 Downloader won't store photos on network drive

I'm running PSE7 on a Windows XP Media Center SP2 machine. Both my PSE catalog and my actual image files are located on a drive mounted as drive letter P: from a NAS device. This configuration worked great in PSE5. PSE7 doesn't seem to have any trouble working with the catalog on this drive, nor does it have a problem opening existing photos from folders on this drive. However, when I try to specify my P: drive as the "Save Files In" destination on the PSE7 Camera or Card Reader Preferences dialog, it tells me "Cannot write to specified directory", and won't let me choose it. Write permission on the mapped drive is wide open, and if I open a file in the PSE7 editor and try to save it somewhere on the P: drive it works just fine. How do I convince the downloader that P: is an acceptable place for it to put the downloaded files?

I tried changing the download destination in the Photo Downloader window, with the same results: "Cannot write to specified directory".
I notice that even though I've configured the NAS device to allow wide open read/write access to the folder in question, and all Windows users are in fact able to read/write files in that folder, when I check the permissions for the network folder from the Properties | Security tab, none of those Windows users appear to have write permission. Perhaps this is just due to the way the permissions assigned by my non-Windows NAS device are represented in Windows, but I wonder whether PSE 7 is looking at those same settings and using them to decide the folder's not available for downloading. I suspect that if I were attempting to specify a folder shared from another Windows box, I wouldn't have this problem, although I don't have a good way to test this at the moment...

PSE 8 Just won't open but for crash report "....unexpectedley quit.

Organizer suddenly won't work today. Error message appears in place of program. Screen opens to Organizer then shows but one file then crashes and a error report is displayed. Tried to open from Editor, Same crash. Disbled preference file ( i.e., pse.old) but the program never gets up enough to write a new preference file.
One thought- can I reinstall PSE8 over the existing program without losing my data-files and tags for my several thousand photos?

I am also looking for a similiar problem with Elements 7. Happened about 5 days ago. I click on organizer/edit/etc and it blows off. I tried de-installing Elements 7 and reloading but it does the same thing. I still have 5 and 6 still on the system and they seem to work just fine. Will be watching for a possible solution. Personally I think Adobe is screwing with us to buy 9.

PSE 8 Suddenly won't open

I have PSE 8 running on my dell computer with windows 8. I have been using the program for about one month and two days ago I tried to add a dell printer (which I now hear is not a good idea) I have removed the printer from my computer and PSE still won't open. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and still no luck.
I try to open to edit opening via the program and it says that it is launching but it never opens. If I try to open PSE via a picture (right click, open with Photoshop) it gives me an error message "Photoshop Elements Editor has stopped working"
Can someone help?

After doing a little more research I seemed to find the solution. I moved the Twain_32 Plug in from the folder to my desktop and voila! Opened!!!

PSE 11 Editor Won't Open Due to my "tampering"

Photo Elements 11 Editor won’t open. (I also have PSE 6 and Editor now won’t open in it). I have Windows XP. Editor was working fine until I was trying to get my Viveza 2 plug-in into PSE 11 (I had it in PSE6 and all was fine). I looked all over internet and could not find answer. Went into PSE 11 Editor screen and from one of the tabs I saw a place for plug-ins—you could browse for folder/file of plug-in (or so I thought). I went to Viveza folder inside my NIK folder and clicked it. After that --- Editor no longer loads in PSE 11 or 6. I have tried resetting Preferences—no help. I don’t even know what tab I used in Editor since I cannot open it. Any thoughts? I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling but think nothing will change since PSE6 was affected too. Need to change whatever I did to the file.

Close Elements. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file. Click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution2:
In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution3:
In case that does not work too, you may try this.
Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.

Group in contacts won't fill in on iPad

I have this group of people I write to all the time. I have them together in my contacts so when I enter the code word all of their names get entered into the mail address on my iMac. I show that group in contacts on my iPad but the names don't get filled in on my iPad when I enter the code word. What do I have to do? I have IOS 7.

I have the solution for this, so please full attention here to get it correctly. I found the steps from the iOS 6 manual.
Link a contact: Edit a contact, tap Edit, then tap and choose the contact entry to link to.
Linked contacts aren’t merged. If you change or add information in a unified contact, the
changes are copied to each source account where that information already exists.
If you link contacts with different first or last names, the names on the individual cards won’t
change, but only one name appears on the unified card. To choose which name appears when
you view the unified card, tap the linked card with the name you prefer, then tap Use This Name
For Unified Card.
View contact information from a source account: Tap one of the source accounts.
Unlink a contact: Tap Edit, tap , then tap Unlink
First Step: Edit contacts
Second Step: Scroll down & Click + symbol
Third Step: Click linked contacts (choose your contact that you want to be linked if the contact you are in)
Fourth Step: Click done
Fifth Step: Go to LINKED CONTACTS
Sixth Step: Choose your prefer name ex. Facebook: Taylor Rocker
                                                                    iCould: Taylor Swift
Seven Step: EXAMPLE: I choose iCould to be my prefer name.
                     Click on iCould: Taylor Swift
                    There will be a new button appear which is "Use This Name For Unified Card"

Form fill won't fill only certain email address

I am using Yahoo mail. We had to delete on email address from the passwords list due to a password change. Since deleting it, Firefox's form fill will work with all of my email addresses except for the one whose original password was deleted.

If the problem is with saving a new name and password for Yahoo the check this:
The Yahoo website uses autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving form data like name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox store form data like names and passwords.

Note that Firefox won't auto-fill saved form data automatically when autocomplete=off is used, so you need to double-click the empty name field to get a drop-down list.
Alternatively you can right-click the name input field and open the built-in Inspector via Inspect Element.<br />
You can see if there is an autocomplete=off attribute and click the "off" text to edit this value and change it "off" to "on", so you get autocomplete="on".<br />
Repeat this for the password input field, so both fields have an autocomplete="on" attribute.

Align palette: equal spacing possible between stroke edges not just fill edges.

right now with align palette, you can choose an equal spacing between edges of fills, as the bottom row shows, the top row shows alignment and spacing is only possible between the paths of strokes, not their outside edge. So I`m hoping we can also apply equal spacing between the outside edges of strokes, without having to convert them to fills for CS6

I understand. You're right, but now it is not difficult to switch on the SmartGuides unnecessarily interfere and instead of helping.
Maybe the idea would be smart guides to be involved only for the selected objects — kind "smart aligns"?
In Illustrator, I miss these smart fix intervening only in specific situations. Introduced in Illustrator a lot of very good features but their use is still in the spirit of the 90s usebility. I know that it is easy to criticize but I just work on many different programs and when I toggle to Illustartors immediately feel a different world.
