PT_QTA00 is generating repetative records for the same quota type
PT_QTA00 is generating repetative records for the same quota type and one more thing i have already maintained 10 days of quota in 2006 and when i run for the same employee its creating one more record with 10 days again how can we restrict it in configuration
As said earlier, you want to setup Time Constraints for It2006 which is in table: V_T582A
You should set the Time Constraint to 2.
HR master data uses the following three time constraints:
Time Constraint 1
For the entire time that the employee works at the enterprise, exactly one valid infotype record must exist. The validity periods of the individual records must not overlap. If a new record is created, the system automatically uses the start date of the new record as the delimitation date of the old record. Gaps are only allowed between the employeeu2019s entry date and the start date of the first record.
Time constraint 1 must be used for all of the infotypes containing information that must be available at all times. This is particularly true of personal and organizational assignment data.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 1, the system displays an appropriate message.
Time Constraint 2
No more than one valid record can exist at any one time. Records with constraint 2 must not overlap. Their existence is not obligatory. If a new record is created, the system automatically delimits the previous record, if one exists.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint 2, the system displays an appropriate message.
Time Constraint 3
Any number of valid records can exist at any one time. The individual records do not conflict with each other.

How to maintain 2 condition record for the same message type
Hi,
My requirement is that I have got a PO output type NEU.Now when i release the PO 2 mesages should get outputed.
1) A print should go to the Printer ie:Option1 Print output
2) A PDF should go to the vendor ie:Option 5 External send
I have completed the config part but I am having a problem while maintaing the condition record for simultaneous output of message 1 & 5.
In MN04 i tried to maintain 1 & 5 but it doesn't allow me to do so?Why
How do I output 2 messages while releasing the PO
KNPlease check this answered link:

Merging two records in a single record for the same matnr,werks and bwart.
Hi I have a requirement to merge two records into one single record using the quantity field from MSEG table.
I am selecting two records from the table MSEG. Now for these two records i have to add the quantity values into one variable.
Then there should be only one record for the same matnr,werks,bwart.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Regards,
Amithi,
You can COLLECT statement only if all non key fields are numeric.
This statement Adds all such fields and give us a single record.

Is it possible to have Different Interval Ranges for the same Doc Type
Dear All,
Here is the issue.Is it possible to have different interval ranges for the same document type according to certain condition.Like my client , wants his interval ranges be divided according to region(which are many)
Regards,
Sameer JaleesHello,
As you know we can only assign one number range for External and one number range group for internal in the sales document type.
If you want different number ranges based on the regions, then as Jignesh suggested, you need to go for an enhancement.
Use the exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE in program MVA45AFZZ, include a Z table with region as a critera and number range group for different numbers based on the regions. Talk to the business and get more details, get the help of ABAP team for technical details.

How to use more than one indirect valuation module for the same wage type
Is it possible and how to use the u201CIndirect valuation based on master data: ICOMPu201D configuration to default the NUMBER and at the SAME TIME to use u201CDefine valuation of base wage types usingu201D to default the AMOUNT from one/two WTs ?
You can use the the same wage type for both number and amount but you can't assign 2 indirect valuation method for the same wage type at 1 time. I would rather suggest you to go for some customer specific indirect valuation instead of the standard one. You can use BAdI HR_INDVAL for the same.

CBO generating different plans for the same data in similar Environments
Hi All
I have been trying to compare an SQL from 2 different but similar environments build of the same hardware specs .The issue I am facing is environment A, the query executes in less than 2 minutes with plan mostly showing full table scans and hash join whereas in environment B(problematic), it times out after 2 hours with an error of unable to extend table space . The statistics are up to date in both environments for both tables and indexes . System parameters are exactly similar(default oracle for except for multiblock_read_count ).
Both Environment have same db parameter for db_file_multiblock_read_count(16), optimizer(refer below),hash_area_size (131072),pga_aggregate_target(1G),db_block_size(8192) etc . SREADTIM, MREADTIM, CPUSPEED, MBRC are all null in aux_stats in both environment because workload was never collected i believe.
Attached is details about the SQL with table stats, SQL and index stats my main concern is CBO generating different plans for the similar data and statistics and same hardware and software specs. Is there any thing else I should consider .I generally see environment B being very slow and always plans tend to nested loops and index scan whereas what we really need is a sensible FTS in many cases. One of the very surprising thing is METER_CONFIG_HEADER below which has just 80 blocks of data is being asked for index scan.

Duplicate records for the same computer
I have recently deployed SCCM 2007 SP1 with R2 for a customer. We are currently in the process of deploying imaging and are having an issue with duplicate computers showing up. The duplicates appear to be for the same computer. I have read everything I can on duplicate computers showing up, but none of it has helped. Basically, we have our base image, which is just a basic install of XP SP2 with all updates. We lay down the image on a clean computer using an OSD task sequence, and when the machine shows up in the all systems collection, there are two records for it. The current one is called SCCMTEST01.
The first record shows the following:

The first one appears to be the active one, since it includes more information and the client is listed as installed. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might be misconfigured?
thanks,
JustinI'm experiencing the same behaviour as described above. Not using any other OS distribution methods than scripted installation from RIS, will obviously make explanations based on OS Deployment behaviour not applicable in my case.
The thing is that an object being discovered by Heartbeat, MP_Registration, SMS_AD_SYSTEM and SMS_AD_SYSTEN_GROUP... until suddenly, SMS_AD_SYSTEM_GROUP discovery agent starts generating a new object and updates that object from the moment on. Heartbeat from the client still updates the original object. This is done for about five object a day (among 2600 alltogether), and it's not the same computers that do this (apart from some, troublesome clients...).
When finding this duplicate object, I have kept the one generated by SMS_AD_SYSTEM... and then reinitiated a Heartbeat Discovery on that object. Doing this will make Heartbeat to update the new object (now the original is gone), and everything seem to work for a while, although I have to manually approve that object again.
I cannot work out what makes SMS_AD_SYSTEM... generate a new object.
Does anyone have an idea?

Multiple info records for the same material record in the catalog
Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
Systems:
SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
ECC 6.0
SRM-MDM 2.0
PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?
Your help would be appreciated!

After We Fill And Submit SIT's An Error Occurs - ORA-01086: savepoint 'WF_SAVEPOINT' (Doc ID 735231.1)
Errors ORA-20001 And ORA-06512 Using HR_SIT_API (Doc ID 111263.1)
(this one shows you can get savepoint errors if there are problems with the DFF setup) -
Why two records for the same key???
Hi,
I'm finding that our database contains "duplicate" records even though it is set to disallow duplicated. In particular, from DbDump, here are two keys from our database:
737201037870770c0001000000a6005a001471c678
737201037870770c0001000000a6005a0014711678
You can probably really think of them as
737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 1c678
737201037870770c 0001000000a6005a00147 11678
where only the middle part is "our key data". Use use Externalizable and have methods for the key:
public void readExternal(ObjectInput in) throws IOException, ClassNotFoundException {
short oldVersion = in.readShort();
this.primaryKey = in.readInt();
this.orderPurpose = in.readChar();
this.foreignKey = in.readInt();
public void writeExternal(ObjectOutput out) throws IOException {
out.writeShort(externalizationVersion);
out.writeInt(this.primaryKey);
out.writeChar(this.orderPurpose);
out.writeInt(this.foreignKey);
public int compare(Object o1, Object o2) {
byte[] b1 = (byte[]) o1;
byte[] b2 = (byte[]) o2;
final int compareLen = b1.length;
for (int i=0; i<compareLen; i++) {
if (b1[i] != b2) {
return (b1[i] < b2[i] ? -1 : 1);
return 0;
My question is basically this: what are the trailing bytes for in the key and why do they differ in my case? BTW, we're using an old version, 2.0.90, and we recently switched to Java 6 from Java 5... (just in the interest of full disclosure!)
Thanks very much in advance,
DanYes, you're right. That hint really helped me find
my problem !!Glad to hear that.
I still don't know what the leading and trailing
bytes are used for but at this point, it doesn't
really matter anymore.They're output by Java serialization when JE calls ObjectOutputStream.writeObject, so they should be defined here:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/serialization/spec/protocol.html
Thanks for your help,You're welcome,

Urgent: Posting to different Symbolic Accounts for the same Wage Type
Hi Everyone,
Assuming that I have a Wage Type and 2 sets of Symbolic Accounts tied to their respective Chart of Accounts (belong to 2 different companies).
When I go to the configuration node "Define posting characteristics of wage types" in SPRO, under Payroll, I have assigned Symbolic Account 1234 (which belongs to Chart of Accounts A) and Symbolic Account 6789 (which belongs to Chart of Account B) to Wage Type 1000.
When I execute the Transaction for Posting to Accounting (PC00_M99_CIPE), I get an error (Message: Posting Balance is not cleared). After exploring the log, i notice that both Symbolic Accounts appeared.
How do i ensure that only the specific Symbolic Account is being posted?
Take for example that the employee belongs to Company A.Hi,
U can post to different accounts for same wage type but NOT symbolic accounts!
Do as follows:
1)-Define employee grouping account determination(PPOMD feature)
2)-Define symbolic accounts
3)-Assigning Accounts
When doing 3rd step, click "RULE" button and select "Employee group".
By doing so you can posting same WT to different Accounts according to different employee grouping , like below:
SymAcc Grp Account
Z001 GU 5502019900
Z001 SZ 5502019901
Z001 YY 5502019902 -

Creating multiple library records for the same song
Is it possible to create multiple entries in the itunes library for a single file, each with different metadata? I have a number of songs which appear on several albums each. I would like to be able to see complete track lists for these albums, but I don't want to uselessly fill up disk space with duplicate files.
I do not think so. The way the music lib XML is setup there is one single reference to a file, and multiple play lists can point to that reference. How may of these files do you have?

Sales Deal with two different validation dates for the same material
Hi SAPers,
I am trying to create a u201CSales Dealu201D VB31, for the same material/condition, but with two different validation dates. After the creation of the first record, I select u201CNew conditionu201D button, but the system give me the message VK104, u201Cthe condition is being processed in the current session.u201D.
How can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
PedroWe can't have multiple records for the same condition and key values valid on the same date. The condition end date is part of the primary key in the database table. The date ranges between the records cannot overlap. When you create a new record, usually the end date is set to 12/31/9999 by default. If you need to have this deal to end on a different date and a new deal to start afterwards, then first you need to change 12/31/9999 to a different date.
Also usually I try to exit the screen between the transactions.
