PUK Locked Error on iPhone3 used as an iPod

How do I get past the "PUK Locked" error for my old iPhone3 that my son was using as an iPod?  This PUK error happened when I connected the phone to iTunes and it prompted me to update the software (which I unfortunately did).  Please help!

Thanks, but this old iPhone isn't being used as an iPhone and not under any service.  It is only being used as an iPod so I can't get a code from the carrier to unlock the PUK error.

  • Group data locked error for MM01 using parallel processing

    Hello gurus,
                       I am using Call txn method (MM01) Parallel Processing method ( around 9 threads ). The Materials are getting locked around 10 percent sometimes.
    This is happening randomly ..one day i dont have any locking errors ..next day i have ...Any ideas why this could be..any prereq i need to check before executing the parallel processing..
    Thank you in advance..

    Hi Sasidhar
    I guess you are either extending the Sales Data or MRP Data. Just make sure that you are processing these transactions in a linear form for a single material. We can use parallel processing for different materials but for a single material if we go for parallel processing we can definetely expect the Lock Objects error.
    Kind Regards

  • Can a locked iPhone 4s be used as a iPod?

    Hi,
    My car has Lockpick which interfaces my iPhone 4 to the stereo. I like how it works.
    I want to upgrade to an iPhone 5s but the new interface won't work with my car. Since my iPhone 4 memory is filled with songs (32g) I was thinking of getting a used iPhone 4s 64g and using it in my car exclusively. There's no reason to make calls anymore since I'll be using it mostly as a disk device.
    Question... Can I buy a "locked" iPhone from eBay, which sell for less than working phones, and use it as a iPod touch? Plus bluetooth and wifi.
    To clarify, I'd like to buy a locked phone, connect it to my Mac, download songs, then play them in my car (which uses a wired connector via the 30 pin interface).
    I assume I might need to put my iPhone 4 32g (which is my current phone) sim into the locked iPhone 4s 64g I plan to buy used.
    And again, the lockpick (tm) interface in my car won't work with the new iPhone 5s, I don't want to use it even if I could. I'd rather install a no functioning phone/computer permanently in my car.
    Thank you for any advice you can offer.

    So if I unserstand you correctly there are two types of locks. One from the carrier (which can be circumvented with another valid sim) and a device lock from apple (Bricked?) which can never be undone.
    Actually there are other types of locks, but the only ones you'd need to worry about are the lock to the carrier and the Activation Lock.
    Is there a visual indicator of the perminent lock on the screen?
    No. There is no indicator of any type of the carrier lock. You won't know until you try to use another carrier's SIM. You'd find the Activation Lock if you tried to change the iCloud settings or erase or restore the iPhone. If Activation Lock is set, it would insist on the previous owner's Apple ID and password.

    I want TSPITR ,during this operation i faced this deadlock error.
    Before that we faced roll backsegment error for that we applied follwing workaround .
    If i applied follwing workaround before every backup and restore .i didn't get any error .all things went successful.
    spool /tmp/Createtest.log
    connect / as sysdba
    REM Perform startup in case we are still down
    ALTER SYSTEM SET PROCESSES=500 SCOPE=SPFILE;
    SHUT IMMEDIATE;
    STARTUP MOUNT EXCLUSIVE;
    ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG;
    ARCHIVE LOG START;
    ALTER DATABASE OPEN;
    connECT / as sysdba;
    alter system set undo_management = MANUAL scope=spfile;
    shutdown immediate;
    startup;
    Connect / as sysdba;
    DROP TABLE TEST123;
    create table test123 (t1 number, t2 varchar2(10));
    begin
    for i in 1.. 300000 loop
    insert into test values (i,'AAAAAAAAAA');
    end loop;
    end;
    delete test123;
    commit;
    alter system set undo_management = auto scope=spfile;
    shutdown immediate ;
    startup ;
    The above workaround we applied before creating tablespace and datafile ,after that we face some dead lock error while restore TSPITR .Did you need any more information

  • Error while doing multiple object updation from EP ! object lock error

    HI all,
    I am doing multiple  object updation using a standard RFC(BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN). The RFC i am calling from Enterprise portal. I am sending data to RFC one by one. But the error i am getting is object is locked by user so data can't be save.
    Though i am using Lock and unlock method before and after calling RFC the project lock error comes up.
    What might be the reason
    regards
    sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
    Is the RFC you use for locking in the same model as the bapi BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN? If it is not then you are using two connections for communication with the sap R/3 backend.
    You can do 2 things.
    1. You could add the RFCs for locking in the same model as the BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN
    2. Instead of adding the RFCs in one model synchronize the connections the models use as follows:
    IWDDynamicRFCModel model1 = (IWDDynamicRFCModel) WDModelFactory.getModelInstance(Model1.class);
    IWDDynamicRFCModel model2 = (IWDDynamicRFCModel) WDModelFactory.getModelInstance(Model2.class);
    model1.setConnectionProvider(model2);
    You can do this in the wdDoInit. This will make sure both models use the same connection but closing a connection will close both at the same time.
    The same problem applies to commit/rollback functionality.

  • System Lock Error while reset & reversing the cleared document - FBRA

    Hi Experts,
    Currently using t-code FBRA, when user trying to reset & reverse the cleared document , they are facing "System Lock Error". We have analyzed on this issue and found SAP note no. u201C487347 u2013FBRA: Overflow of the lock table in production systemu201D . After implementation of this note, SAP has created one new transaction code, FBRA_LOAC.
    However, when we tried to reset & reverse the cleared document using t-code FBRA_LOAC, we face the same error.
    Can you help me to resolve this issue ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Manish

    Hi:
          We once faced these issue and got it resolved by extending parameter after extending the profile-parameter "enque/table_size", as per note note 13907. Do not forget the restart the server after extension.

  • Error message when using FM 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE'.

    I'm continually getting an error message when using FM 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE'. The message being 'Table BAPIADTEL entry to be changed not found in target system'.
    I have looked up this message but all links seem to refer to FM 'BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE', which I'm not using, and has different parameter settings.
    I'm simply trying to update the telephone number and I'm updating strcuture BAPIADTEL and BAPIADTELX but still the message appears. I know that there is a really simple reason for this, but I have been double-checking everything and experimenting with lots of different areas, but with no effect.
    Has anyone encountered this problem using the specific FM ''BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_CHANGE' ?.
    Jason

    Hi Jason,
    In case your database tables had already value for field telephone number, then only the flag should be "U".
    If the telephone number field was empty, and we will try to change it by using the flag as U, it wont work. In this case, we should be using "I".
    I even wrote that before in this post, but somehow I guess the post was locked, and a lot of comments from you and me were not visible apart from the first two. So, I couldnt get any update from you.
    Anyway, its good that its working for you. Thank you for the update.
    Regards,
    Susanta

  • ITunes error: library file locked after trying to reset 3rd G ipod

    So I haven't used my 3rd generation ipod in a about two weeks, but last time i used it it was fine. Today when i turned it on, it displayed a folder and had "www.applecom/support/ipod" written underneath then automatically shut itself down.
    When i tried to connect it to my macbook, itunes popped up, and it said: "your ipod needs to be restored, please click here to restore it." and i did. However, after downloading the software, it gave an error and said it could not be restored. So, i tried again, same error. I then disconnected the ipod and reconnected it. This time, when the macbook said it could not read the disk, it directed me to disk utilities.
    In disk utilities, I tried to erase the ipod, but that didnt work. Then it tried to open itunes, but then it gave me that deathly error:
    The iTunes library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to write the file.
    the error given when i tried to restore my ipod was: 1418
    now my question(s) is:
    1. how do i get itunes to start working again? EDIT: i figured it out
    2. is there still any chance to save my ipod? How?

    EDIT: found the answer on the ipod topic:

  • DEAD LOCK ERROR

    When we are using our oracle application, our session hang every time the user update records. the DBA said that we have a dead lock error... the only thing he did is to reset sa database every time we in counter this problem. but we have this error every day, and i don't have an ideal regarding what is dead lock.

    you don't have a deadlock problem, because a deadlock will be "solved" as oracle simply kills the blocking session and rollbacks the changes.He is right. you might have blocking problem not dead lock problem. Find out the blocker and waiter and kill the blocker session.
    Following query would give you an idea about who is blocking and who is waiting for :
    select /*+ ordered */
    a.sid blocker_sid,
    -- c.sql_text,
    a.username blocker_username,
    a.serial#,
    -- a.logon_time,
    b.type,
    b.lmode mode_held,
    b.ctime time_held,
    c.sid waiter_sid,
    c.request request_mode,
    c.ctime time_waited
    from v$lock b, v$enqueue_lock c, v$session a, v$sqltext c
    where c.address=a.prev_sql_addr and
    a.sid = b.sid
    and b.id1 = c.id1(+)
    and b.id2 = c.id2(+)
    and c.type(+) = 'TX'
    and b.type = 'TX'
    and b.block = 1
    order by time_held, time_waited
    Look for blocker_id and waiter_id. If possible, kill blocker using following command.
    select sid,serial# from v$session where sid = blocker_sid;
    alter system kill session 'sid,serial#'';

    Linux Error: 11: Resource temporarily unavailable
    I am getting this error for last 2-3 days. I need to start up the database manually.
    Daily there is crontab schedule which will take the cold backup and startup the database. When I am checking daily morning. DBt is going into MOUNT stage instead of OPEN stage. I have check the script every thing is fine.
    Note: This is happening intermetendly. Also is error is happening with different datafiles each time.

    This is the cold_backup Script ...
    1) First, it will shutdown the db.
    2) Copy all the crb files to the backup location.CRB files? Do you mean data files, control files and spfile/pfile?
    3) Startup the db.
    4) ZIp the files.
    5) Deletes the old uncompress files.Any special reason why you use this approach? It may in fact be slower than zipping and compressing on the fly.
    For example, 10GB of data files need to be be backed up. You can follow the above approach and make a 10GB copy. Then read that copied 10GB (20GB in total read at this stage) and then compress it (CPU resources needed) and then write 5GB of compressed data (assuming a 50% compression ratio was achieved).
    Now compare this with reading 10GB, compressing it (CPU resources needed) and then writing 5GB. Not only is this significantly less I/O to do, but less physical space is needed too.
    As for your problem - you can add some debugging code into the cold backup script to show whether any processes are using any of the Oracle datafiles prior to starting the Oracle instance. If so, then doing a process listing of the "guilty" process to determine who it is.
    Also keep in mind that you also need clean starts and exits from shell scripts... in other words, what happens if a 2nd copy of the cold backup is started? Or when a previous run failed and is stuck as a background process?
    In my experience, this is often the cause of the problem you're seeing - the database is started up, but the cold backup has a rogue process (remnant of some script failure) that still locks Oracle datafiles.

    Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

    Solution below.
    Error 9
    This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
