Pull-out tab and layers order question

hello
i'm building a pull out tab like in here
what i paste into the container is a group inluding
- one panorama image / and (over it) a little icon to say "hey, grab me and pull me"
the icon is over the panorama image
but when i preview, it goes UNDER (i can see a part of it only on the left side) and not over it
i really can't figure out why
otherwise i tworks fine, i can pull out the tab, roll down my panorama image etc.

gotta do both, one over one another
1 first a two state (identical) MSO for the icon,
2 and a transpartent button over it, linkin' t the MSO's next state,
3 then GROUP THEM,
3 and then group this group with the element you want to have under and it WORKS !!!
feeling quite happy

I'm afraid you can't! its a bad limitation at the moment.
Answer re-design the pullout.
But just to let you know, the enterprise guys have the ability to create a "fake invisible" hot spot area that sits above the pull out that does allow the user to then swipe to navigate away from the page. Don't actually very fair. If I have that wrong, could some one please correct me :-)

Pull out tab - two way to scroll

Hello!
I wanted to reproduce the 'two way scroll pull out tab' I saw on the DPS tips app (Advanced Overlays).
I was able to make the the pull out tab and to include another scrolling frame inside But I have problems with the buttons. They just don't work.
I'd like to do the same as in the example with a clicable list that change a multistate object.
Is there some tips to include buttons in scrolling frame?

When you paste the content frame into the container frame in the nested overlay, the buttons lose their actions. Use the Layers panel to select each button and specify the action. It helps if you give your buttons logical names like "Asparagus Button."

Pull out tab pan and zoom option grayed out

I've been trying to follow this great tutorial about pull out tabs, but have one issue. I've just updated InDesign 5.5 Folio Builder to v.22 and the producer tools to the most recent release on August 7. Here is what I've been doing.
Create an unassigned box for the tab. Create an unassigned box for background. Create a text box and add text.
Group all of them together.
Create an image box (container frame) that is larger than my grouped content and paste the grouped content into it.
When I select the image box (container frame) and select Pan and Zoom, all options are greyed out.
If I clear the content from the image box and put a photo in it, I can use the Pan and Zoom options.
Any ideas on what I'm doing incorrectly? Thanks!

Thanks, for the record, I updated my steps to show the correct process.
Create an unassigned box for the tab. Create an unassigned box for background. Create a text box and add text. Create an unassigned box at the top left to "hold" the tab position to the right side of your document.
Group all of them together.
Create an image box (container frame) that is larger than the grouped content and paste the grouped content into it.
Select the image box (container frame) and choose Scrollable Frame with the options - Horizontal, check Hide for Scroll Indicators, and select Upper Left for Initial Content Position.

Pull-out tab in InDesign CS6

Hi there,
I am struggling to create a pull-out tab in InDesign CS6. I tried the method outlined by Colin Flemming in his video, but this no longer seems to apply.
How must I go about creating a pull-out tab (horizontal) with the new DPS tools? Scrollable frame?

Pull Out Tab interfering with vertical text scroll

Hi, ive created a pull out tab which opens up on top of a text frame that scrolls vertically. However, if i try to scroll the text which is under the invisible area i.e. overlaps the 'empty' container area of the pull out tab, the tab opens up, instead of the text scrolling. How do i fix this?

One possibility is to add dummy buttons to the empty scroll area of the pull tab, but I don't think that would work in your case because you basically have dueling scrollable frames.

Sorry its been so long to reply i've been trying to figure out another app for ages now!
Anyway with the slide out tab question, i'm hoping this is something i can easily do inside of animate.
Basically when this tab is touched i want it to animate out on to the stage to reveal its content, when its done with the user simply taps it again and it animates back to its start position.
In my composition i have an symbol which contains all the content and sits to the left of the stage just showing its tab, the picture shows this better with the symbol being on the stage.
This seams like something pretty basic to me, simply a touch to make something animate on and animate off. But i cant find any videos or help anywhere for this hopefully simple interactivity.
I know the next release does have something to do with sliders so maybe that will help.
But if you can help out on this i would be eternally grateful!

I did find the answer to my own question... The Video Is OUTDATED and should be removed to avoid future confusion.
The new feature is "Scrollable Frame", located on the bottom of the Folio Overlay panel which allows for an effective slide out tray.

Document NOT visible. Doc tab and layers ARE visible. HELP!

Installed Photoshop CS5 months ago. Have completed dozens of projects with only the occasional crash.
Yesterday it crashed "Photoshop needs to close".
When I reopened the file, the document is not visible.
The document tab is correct and the layers are intact and visible.
Tried opening other psd's, same results.
Will not create a new document, New document panel does not appear.
Moved same psd to laptop, opens like a charm.
Vista, 32 bit.
The file that crashed was a larger file, but I've definitely worked on much larger files consistently.
Could not find other posts regarding same issue.
Do I need to reinstall Photoshop?

Your graphics card driver needs updating/ reinstalling and you may need to disable OpenGL in the preferences. Anyway, you'd get much better and quicker answers, if you posted your questions in the right forums, so keep that in mind next time and use the PS specific forum.

These tutorials, while extremely useful, should be dated. As of June 2012, there's a "Scrollable Frame" overlay that makes this workaround unnecessary, and you can't even achieve the effect the way its shown here.

I am trying out Keynote and have some questions.

I loaded Keynote this afternoon on the 30day trial. I am a retired commercial artist and have been using a Mac since the Mac II came out with a color screen. A 20 MB hard drive and I think it ran at a blazing 8 MHz or something like that. I have worked with teenagers in churches for over 45 years. I took the job as youth leader in a small mission church about 3 months ago. On a good day will have 7 kids. However, we are growing and hope to have many more.

I have had the system in the classroom for about two weeks, the kids are responding to it very well. My goal is to teach, not dazzle them with technology. My first question is the default size is 800 x 600, but I want to use 1280 x 720. When I change the size nothing seems to happen. Also the themes all seem to be for 800 x 600. Can I make the bigger?

But here is another question: I have a movie that is 230 seconds. It will be on the first slide of the presentation. This is what I want to happen:
• The movie starts when I click and plays for 230 seconds.
• Line of copy #1 appears at 220 seconds.
• Line of copy #2 appears at 230 seconds.
• The movie and both lines of copy dissolve at next click.
• Line #3 of copy appears when these dissolve.
• A click takes my to the second slide.

Tab and/or Table Question?

Is there a way to make the output print under headings like columns on
a simple Java app?
My code is fine, it complies and works and even has an illusion of

Switching out HD and have some questions

I Have two different issues here.
I am installing a 500Gb Seagate in my G5 which currently has a 160 Gb and a 200Gb in the two bays.
The system is running on the 160Gb HD with a clone on the 200Gb.
I have an external LaCie D2 500 Gb HD which I intend on using as my backup for the G5.
I have a G4 TiBook running 10.3.9 with a 120 Gb HD.
I intend on cloning its HD to the remaining HD in my G5.
My logistical issue is in cloning, which I have done numerous times, but not with this setup.
As I bought this tower with Leopard installed, I have no system disc.
This is my theory and I ask to know where the holes are as well as any tips to accomplish this.
Can I connect my TiBook running 10.3.9 through FW and boot my 10.5 G5 in Target Mode then use Superduper on G4 to clone from G5 system HD disc to the new drive?
Another issue is cloning the TiBook HD to the 2nd bay drive.
Should the Tibook fail, (I do have system disc for this one) would I just to Target mode on it and copy the clone?

Transfering Upgrade and pre-order question.

My upgrade isn't up yet, but my dad's is and he said I could use his since he couldn't care less what phone he uses.
I'm just wondering what the pre-order process is like, we will be able to transfer upgrades over to another phone to pre-order, correct?

This is what a verizon employee said on the upgrade section of this forum
"At launch, the system will not support alternate or buddy upgrade (using the upgrade for an eligible line and activating the device for another). The opportunity to do a buddy upgrade will come at a later date. "
Wow, really? Looks like I'll have to wait until later, what a total bummer
This is the complete opposite of what I was told the other night when I was chatting online with one of the Verizon Reps. He stated that u would be able to do this. I will post the conversation when I get home.
