Pulling dynamic images/JS issue

Hi All,
I have a problem I was hoping I could get some help with. I
am using Zoomify (www.zoomify.com) to zoom in on products. The
products are loaded up dynamically based on a sting that is passed
after the URL. Example:
http://www.grjd.com/zoom/dynamic.html?zoomifyImagePath=back/&zoomifyZoom=25&zoomifyMinZoom =25
Problem is I am unable to get rid of IE’s ‘click
to activate this control’ annoyance. Typically I use the
general JS’s out there to remedy the issue, however the
javascript that is currently available doesn’t jive with the
javascript in the HTML (see below) that declares the variables that
in turn pull in the dynamic images.
Does anyone have a remedy for this? Any help would VERY MUCH
be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg.
HTML Code:
<script language="javascript">
var urlString = document.location.href;
var paramIndex = urlString.indexOf("?")+1;
var paramString =
urlString.substring(paramIndex,urlString.length);
document.write("<OBJECT
CLASSID='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000'");
document.write("CODEBASE='
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0'");
document.write("WIDTH='503'");
document.write("HEIGHT='385'");
document.write("ID='theMovie'>");
document.write("<PARAM NAME='src'
VALUE='zoomifyDynamicViewer.swf'>");
document.write("<PARAM NAME='FlashVars' VALUE='" +
paramString + "' >");
document.write("<EMBED SRC='zoomifyDynamicViewer.swf'");
document.write("FlashVars='" + paramString + "'");
document.write("PLUGINSPAGE='
http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash'");
document.write("WIDTH='503'");
document.write("HEIGHT='385'");
document.write("NAME='theMovie'>");
document.write("</EMBED>");
document.write("</OBJECT>");
</script>

Have you tried SWFObject?

  • Dynamic Image Gallery Issue

    Hello All!
    I am creating a dynamic image gallery, but when my external

  • Adding a dynamic weblink that pulls an image into a report

    I am trying to create a report that pulls an image from a Sharepoint site (http) based a field value that is also in the report. It is an image of a product that shows based on the product number/unique ID.
    I have the dynamic link working within a weblink in the record detail, but now I'd like to pull the image to show within a report. I am not a technical person, so not really sure even where to start. Any assistance is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    It's an HTML code - you may want to check up with your web development team.
    If you need to put an image on an HTML page you put the HTML code <img src="angry.gif" alt="Angry face" />where angry.gif is the file name of the image on your web server and alt is the name you want to show in the background if someone is accessing this image from a place with poor network connection - as you know to download an image it takes more time than showing up text.

  • How can I use wget, cron and Automator to periodically pull a dynamic image from a URL to local storage, and then update a Keynote slide with that image, automatically?

    How can I use wget, cron and Automator to periodically pull an image from a URL (which is dynamically updated - like a weather map, say - to local storage, and then update a Keynote slide with that image, automatically?

    Any particular reason for those specific technologies?  wget does not exist on a mac, although you can nstall it I guess.  OS X has curl installed which should do pretty much anything you want to do with wget.  cron is being replaced by launchd, although cron still exists on mountain lion.
    As far as I can tell from automator all the standard 'actions' to access keynote  available to it require keynote to be open and running, but does not provide a function to actually open it.  So I think you will have to write some applescript, as a minimum to open and quit keynote. I notice that the keynote actions are mostly circa 2005 an wonder if they would even work.
    Under utilities in automator 'actions' there is a capability to add applescripts as part of the workflow.
    Also, note that cron is being dprecated by Apple and replaced by launchd.  that said cron is stil on my mountain lion instalation.
    This entry at stackoverflow shows use of cron with curl to get web urls.  http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1683620/getting-started-with-cronjobs-on-a-ma c
    If I have any time I may try and get this to work as it is quite interesting and new to me.  But otherwise, good luck.

  • Dynamic Image Issue url:{concat(../DIR_ID2,'/',Filename_ID357)} command

    Hello.
    I'am actually using dynamic images depending of a filename and directory. This is working fine.
    My problem is that my dummy image have a form (is in horizontal) and the dinamic images that i want to import to my template have multiple forms, i have images in vertical and images in horizontal and when i import an image that is in vertical , the image stays adjusted to my dummy image.
    In this specific case , the customer have more than 20 companies with different logos ,of different forms, and when i import the logo to my template i want that the logo maintains his original form and not the form of the dummy image.
    Anyone know if this is possible?
    Thanks in Advance

  • Dynamic Image Pulled From Web?

    Is there any way to get Keynote to pull an image from a website and put it in a looping presentation and update it every so often?
    I use Keynote for an always looping TV "infochannel" and I'm looking to pull a weather radar image off the web and display it in Keynote.
    I've tried everything I can think of, whatever I try just gets cached into Keynote and the only way to update it is to re-load the presentation, which isn't an option for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums, tgolebie.
    Keynote doesn't allow live updating of web content. As you've found, any inserted webview is essentially just a screen capture of the page, with an optional hyperlink to the page. The capture image can be automatically updated when the presentation is opened, but that's about it.
    You might display the weather image in a different application that runs full-screen, and use a timed AppleScript to flip between that app and Keynote by hiding each in turn. But that's kinda kludgy.
    It may be that something like Revolution (which I believe can do live updating of web content) would be more appropriate for this kind of project.

  • Dynamic Image issue using the SDK CrystalReportViewer in a Web Farm

    Hello,
    Well it's the classic dyanamic Red X image problem with a twist. We have the CrystalReportViewer control coded into an ASPX web page using the BOE XI R2 SDK.
    The problem is everything works fine (after all the usual Red X image fixes) when only one of the servers in the farm are running. It's when two are running, by using Process Monitor, I can tell NetScaler is splitting up the HTTP calls so one server may have the temp image created and of course the other one doesn't.
    Therefore, if you're lucky enough for one server to handle most of the load, image comes up fine. Otherwise, the report renders, but you get Red X for the image.
    I have seen an article about a registry key (CrystalImageDir) that allows you to enter a network share as the temp folder. The problem is, we are using Windows Integrated Authentication for the intranet site so you're faced the two hop authentication hurtle, leading to access denied on the UNC network path.
    Anyone using the SDK in a .NET application using multiple web front end servers?
    Thanks!
    Horus

    By the way, I'm hearing that NetScaler can handle sticky sessions. However, since a report with dynamic images is really a GET request for the report, then a bunch of sub-GETs to grab the images, what URL would you set the sticky session for?
    For example, if the web page containing the CrystalReportsViewer was:
    https://coolapplication.mycompany.com/Site100/ReportApp/ViewReport.aspx
    Then report the viewer would contain links to something like:
    https://coolapplication.mycompany.com/Site100/ReportApp/CrystalImageHandler.aspx?dynamicimage=cr_tmp_image_5671d67a-4f5d-4ab1-b3c8-0d2561ee64f3.png
    So which URL/page gets load balanced? Or is that not how LB works?
    Thanks!
    Horus

  • Dynamic Image Displays Blank When Using In Visual Studio Project

    I am trying to simply display a dynamic image in a report. I am using Crystal Reports XI Release 2.
    I have two different environments: Local via Progress where reports are called using Crystal Viewer ActiveX, and over the web where reports are called from Open Laszlo and Visual Studio project.
    The image is set to a blank image as default, and Graphic Location Forumla loads the image from the database (site.logo_location + site.logo_filename) which results in an image http:
    www.vetinfo3.com\a.jpg.
    When I run the reports locally using the ActiveX control, it works just fine and displays the image.
    When I run over the web using OpenLaszlo, it displays a blank.
    Troubleshooting
    We are using Visual Studio 2005, which is bundled with an older version of Crystal that doesn't support dynamic images.
    To address this, I loaded Crystal XI Release 2, which updated the version in Visual Studio and enabled the Graphic Location formula field on the dev machine.
    I verified the Graphic Location field was set correctly.
    This caused a Version error, so we loaded cr_net_2005_mm_mlb_x86.zip on server and specified the Version in web.Config.
    No errors now, but when I build and publish the code, the image still displays as blank.
                From Fiddler
                   GET http://www.vetinfo3.com/mdsol1/CrystalImageHandler.aspx?dynamicimage=cr_tmp_image_c5d6a923-293b-4f1e-8739-4e698f83b087.png
                   Creates C:\Documents and Settings\Curtis\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\PWRUX2XW\CrystalImageHandler[1].png
                   Blank Image
    According to issues within Visual Studio, they say the fix to this is to add the <httpHandler> in web.Config, but it is already there; added when we add the viewer to the project:
    In web.Config I have some questions about this line:
        <httpHandlers>
          <add verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=11.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>
        </httpHandlers>
    There are more service packs for Crystal XI Release 2:
    crXIr2sp2_net_server_install.zip
    crXIr2sp3_net_server_install.zip
    crXIr2sp4_net_server_install.zip
    I have not loaded these yet, but the readme files do not indicate they fix any dynamic image issues.
    I am out of ideas on this; does anyone have any ideas?

    What about if you take OpenLaszlo out of the picture? E.g.; use one of our samples from here;
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsfor.NETSDK+Samples
    I'd recommend vbnet_web_simplepreviewreport

  • Showing dynamic images in BI Publisher PDF report

    I defined a RTF report layout in BI Publisher. Almost done, but one requirement missing...
    I should be able to include a dynamic image (so every "object" on the report has it's own image).
    At first I embedded the base64 converted image in the XML output, but then I am running into the 32K limit. (Small pictures render fine).
    Although Marc Sewtz sort of promised in June 2008 (!) : "One issue, which we'll address in the next version of Application Express, is the 32k limit on report columns." on his blogpost http://marcsewtz.blogspot.com/2008/06/one-question-about-pdf-printing-feature.html , it still not addressed.
    So I tried to embed the image in the report using a trick described on the forum (and BIP documentation), by embedding a dummy picture and set the "Alt-text" of the picture to
    (as an example) : url:{'http://www.oracleimg.com/us/assets/oralogo-small.gif'}.
    The strange thing is, that works fine for HTML Output and Excel output, but not for Word and PDF (why it does work for Excel and not for Word is very mysterious....). And of course I need a PDF output.
    I also tried to embed a FO snippet:
    <fo:block>
    <fo:external-graphic src="url:{'http://www.oracleimg.com/us/assets/oralogo-small.gif'}" />
    </fo:block>
    But that doesn't (seem to) work on any output...
    But
    <fo:block>
    <fo:external-graphic src="D:\Users\rhartman\Documents\PrintScreen Files\Screenshot004.jpg" />
    </fo:block>
    does produce the image on the PDF output.
    So who has an idea how to solve this issue?? You'll be rewarded with a lot of pionts ;-)
    TIA
    Roel

    Hi Carsten
    That was exactly* I was looking for. Maybe I should Google more in German ;-)
    The main problem was that I defined my image outside the first repeating group (that doesn't repeat, it's always just one object) - the first group is followed by 7 more.
    Just like the "Name" (that's positioned outside the group in the document header), I positioned the image above the table representing the group.
    Doing that, the "Name" is filled correctly, the Image only when the Output Format is Excel or HTML - not Word or PDF ... makes no sense but that's tje way it is.
    After moving the image inside the group....it works great!
    (One more thing...the image size is fixed to the image you use as "dummy". Is there any way to make that more flexible, because now some scaling happens...)???
    @Trent: That was the way we initially did it, but when the size of the row exceeds 32K...you know what happens.. And even with a small image the 32K limit is hit easily
    The way I use it now (very similar to Carsten's description) there is no limit....
    Thank you all!
    Roel

  • Dynamic Images in PDF and Escaping Special Characters

    I used the following to create my own PDFs with dymnamic images:
    http://marcsewtz.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html (Dynamic Images in PDF - What 32k Limit? )
    I have installed this application on Oracle's free workspace to test.
    The issue I am having is that when there is a special character in the description, such as <>'"& then the the PDF will not open. I have tried using the dmbs_xmlgen.convert to convert the description but haven't had any luck.
    I'm a complete novice with xml. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Glen

    I have been able to find a solution, but it's not completely perfect. I have changed the "description" field as follows:
    XMLCdata(replace(description,''&'',''and'')) description,
    The characters greater than (>), less than (<), single qoute('), and double quote (") can now all be in the description and will not cause errors. For some reason, I couldn't get the & not to give an error no matter what I tried, so I just replaced the & with the word "and". This solution will work for my needs, but it would be nice to be able to get the & to display.
    Does anyone know of a way to get the & to display correctly?
    Thanks again,
    Glen
    The complete code I am using is below:
    declare
    l_print_layout clob;
    l_xml_data clob;
    begin
    -- load print layout from database
    for c1 in (
    select layout from eba_pdfimg_layouts where id = :P1_LAYOUT

    l_print_layout := wwv_flow_utilities.blob_to_clob(c1.layout );

    ) loop
    l_xml_data := c2.xml_data;
    end loop;

  • Dynamic Images in adobe

    Hello All,
    I have a requirement for dynamic images on Adobe form.
    I have some images stored on portal server in a afolder called images which gets upadeted every hour . I have developed a java webservice which can get this images from the portal server.
    The reponse of the webservice is like " http://<Hostname>:<portnumner>/images/abc.png". I have impoted this webservice as Adaptive webservice model in WD.
    I have executed this webservice in WD and binded the response to IFRAME UI element and I am able to images(http://<Hostname>:<portnumner>/images/abc.png).
    Now I want these images to be on the PDF.
    I have installed and configurred  ADS and binded the Webservice response as Datasource to the intercative form. I am able to see the datasourcse in the data view of the interactive form.
    Now when I bind the response to the Image Field UI element I am unable to see the image.
    Please let me know if anyone has any idea on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Naresh,
    It's an issue with ADS. Exactly not an issue but a requirement. The server on which images are available, has to be exposed to ADS.
    Your Admin might help you on that.
    Regards,
    SV.

  • Dynamic image report not working

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a report which has a dynamic image.
    - the report has
    a parameter: {?image_path}
    - user specifies the image location (ie. c:\image1.png)
    - the report take the image location as a parameter and change "graphic location" of the picture object.
    The following works fine in Crystal Report 11 R2, but not in .net application.
    I checked the passsed parameter value by displaying it, and the parameter value was correct.
    does anyone know why the picture object is not updated based on the value of parameter?
    Thanks,

    If you are using IIS on your local machine then that does not necessarily mean that the application has access to the root of the C drive (or your image folder).  Depending on the version of IIS you are using (IIS5 on XP and Win2k) or IIS6/7 on win2k3/2k8 there are different possibilites.
    I'll assume Windows 2003 server.  Here permissions of the application are determined by the application pool that the application is running under.  Typically this will be the 'Network Service' account which would not likely have permissions to all of the files and folders on your machine.  An easy test (to find out if its permissions) is to change the Identity used by your application pool from 'Network Service' account to the 'Local System' account, which should have access to most folders on your machine.  If this works, then its a permissions issue.
    If you are running the application directly from the Visual Studio IDE and you created your website as a 'File System' web site, then it will not use IIS but rather a personal web server called WebDev.WebServer.exe.  If this is the case, you'll see that executable in Task Manager.  This process will run under your currently logged on credentials and should have full access to the file system as would Crystal Reports designer or any Windows application you run.  If images still do not show up in this case (or the case of IIS running under the Local System account, then the next possibility is that you do not have CrystalImageHandler set up correctly in your application's web.config file. To make sure this is set up correctly then you will need to set this up as described in the [Crystal Reports Developer guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/cr2008V1/en/crsdk_net_dg_12_en.zip]
    If you download this help file, search for "web.config" and look at the CrystalImageHandler section.
    If you are on Win2k8 using IIS7, then you will need to run your application pool in 'Classic' mode rather than 'Managed Pipeline' mode in order for dynamic images to show properly.

    Run time Image Display in the Webi (Business Objects_)
    Step 1
    For example field name [Item No] :110000001 then Image file name should be 110000001.jpg
    Copy the image files into the following path in the BO server.
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\images
    *Make sure folder have enough permission to access it from client pcu2019s
    Step 2
    Open new report and create a new variable called ItemPicture with the following formula
    ="boimg://"+[Item No] +".jpg"
    Step 3
    Drag the variable to report
    Set the Display property of the variable
    Read Cell Content As : ImageURL
    Refresh the report

  • Dynamic image gallery

    Hi all, I am new to the forum and I have a specific question
    about a dynamic image gallery i am making.
    Everything goes well, until I want to click from a thuimbnail
    to see an enlarged image that is another file.
    here is the specific code for that:
    1) one problem is that -when I wlick one of the 5 jpegs
    attached- I always see the last one enlarged...
    2) another problem is to go back to the thumbs after clicking
    the enlarged image...
    PLease help me

    One issue it might be, is that in your for loop you have var
    i:Number=1; Set to 1 not 0. Then you referrence that number when
    declaring your small and large images by i.
    Remember actionscript always starts at zero not 1 when
    creating objects dynamically.
