Pupulating two database fields from one form field

Hopefully an easy query for someone with more experience than
me!!!
I have set up a form (PHP page) to add new users to a table
in a MySQL database. So far, so good.
The problem is that I want to use the value entered in one of
the form fields (Email) to populate two different fields in the
table (username and email). I realise that this is redundant, but
it is necessary for other reasons that I won't go into here...
I've tried using a hidden input field for username, but I'm
just not sure what I need to specify for 'value'...
The code for the input field is:
<input name="Email" type="text" class="RequiredInput"
value="" size="32">
and the code for the hidden input is:
<input type="hidden" name="username" value=Email>
As you can see, this puts the text 'Email' in the field,
rather than the value of the Email input...

When I try an post a reply with the code attached I get this
screen:

I often create forms in both English and French. Many are long and complicated and I have to create them all individually. Is there any way I could use the form field layout from one form, for another form? That would be fantastic.

Sure. To replace the underlying page contents and retain any fields, document-level code, links, etc., select: Document > Replace Pages
you will likely have some tweaking to do to some field positions.

Data not transfering from one form to another

I have designed two forms in which i want to transfer data from one form to another which contains lot of fields.Process starts wid filling the first form(form1) from the workspace and all the data from dat form will be transfered to next level user who is having form2.Both forms contains two pages each.I tried with the SETVALUE ACTIVITY after designing two forms but its showing error.

No am not using any xml schema .i have designed the two forms with the same fileds and field names.what cpould be the problem.After submitting the task from the start process it is going to the next user level but the form is getting added twice in the to do list of that user and data is not getting bound.If u want i can sned u my lca files or forms.

Passing a parameter from one form to another

I'm trying to pass a parameter from one form to another. I've read lots of postings about this, and I have succeeded in calling the second form using code behind one of the existing Portal buttons (insert). Here is the code:

How to pass a value/variable from one form to another called form in Oracle Dev 6i

1. One-way communication (calling form sends information to called form)
- using Forms :PARAMETER variables:
OPEN_FORM / CALL_FORM (form_name, ..., parameter_list);
2. Two-way communication
2.1. If Forms modules runs in different database sessions
(using "OPEN_FORMS (..., SESSION, ...);" called form runs in a new database session),
you can use:
- Forms global variables (:GLOBAL)
- global record groups, created using GLOBAL_SCOPE parameter:
rec_grp_id := CREATE_GROUP_FROM_QUERY (..., GLOBAL_SCOPE);
- database "global" Application Context (available from Oracle 9i)
2.2. If Forms modules runs in the same database session you can use methods in 2.1 plus:
- library package data; with SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA parameter,
Forms that have identical libraries attached can share library package data:
OPEN_FORM / CALL_FORM (form_name, ..., SHARE_LIBRARY_DATA, parameter_list);
- database package data (but, you must use get/set methods)
- database "private" Application Context (available from Oracle 8i)

How to concatenate values from one form to another form using calculated columns in sharepoint?

Im new to Sharepoint.
I need to know , how to fetch the x1 , x2 values from one form to another form x1, x2 fields, this wants to happen when 2 forms ID fields(Drop down field) are same.
ex:
first module I have 3 fields like, "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name".
second module I have the same related fields like "Marketing ID" , "Company name" , "Vendor name" and some more fields.
now i need to fetch the information from 1st module to 2nd module ( "Company name" , "Vendor name" ) when I select the Marketing Id(Drop down - field)
it should be want to show in Calculated columns.
Can someone make a suggestion on how I can do this.

Calculated Columns can only generate a value from fields of the current item. And only some types of fields (for example, it can't use a lookup column).
Consider using a workflow to accomplish your goal.

whole form and I only need one or two items.

I tried to do this by passing parameter in Event Procedure but i am getting error msg when i am opening the zoomed form.

If you choose the second alternative you should erase these global variables after the second form is opened
You can erase the global variable using:

How to change XML Structure from one form to another form using OO ABAP.

In my Scenario, i need to do ABAP Mapping in order to change Incoming structure from one form to another.
My Input to ABAP Mapping (OO ABAP Program)would be :

How to Import/Export database tables from one server to other in oracle8i

Please can any one tell me how to import/export groups of database tables from one server with oracle to another using VB.net. It would be nice if some one can provide some code of it.
I am a software developer and I am in middle of a large project development, in which I need to export a large oracle database from one server to another efficiently.
Its very urgent so please someone help me.

At command prompt (source db)
set ORACLE_SID=db_name
exp system/password@db_name full=y buffer=104857600 file=(c:\file1.dmp, c:\file2.dmp....) log=c:\exp.log filesize=2000M
Then ftp the export dump files (in binary) to the other server or copy to target server over the network.
At command prompt (target db)
set ORACLE_SID=db_name
imp system/password@db_name full=y ignore=y buffer=104857600 file=(c:\file1.dmp, c:\file2.dmp....) log=c:\imp.log filesize=2000M
If the path names of the datafiles are going to be different in the target server (as compared to the source), then precreate the tablespaces before import. Set buffer value accordingly.

OK, to prove the example here is what I did:
I have a form referencing the DEPT table.
I created a item called 'Search' and of type button.
I created a 'custom' PL/SQL block and added the following code:

Note: you need to reference the column with an 'A_' prefixing the columm name.
I left the name 'DEFAULT' as it is.
OK so I set this to a variable and now want to call a Report called EXAMPLE_SQL_REPORT which was created with the following code:
select * from scott.emp where deptno = :deptno;
The bind variable being the custom parameter for the report.
I called the new report with the PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.set_target procedure and put in the full URL path (in this example) of the server and report.

Move database files from one ASM diskgroup to another

We are working on 11.2.0.3 RAC environment. We have an activity in which we have to move ASM database files from one diskgroup to another. We have the sufficient downtime for the activity. On checking MOS it says copying datafiles from "rman copy" command is the preferred method.But with 11g R2 we can use cp command in ASMCMD.
So which is the preferred method to copy asm database files and why:
RMAN Copy command or ASMCMD cp command

I normally prefer to go with RMAN than the ASMCMD cp command. Suppose the datafiles are OMF and you use RMAN to copy:
1. offline the datafile
2. RMAN>copy datafile <offline-datafile-on-old-DG> to +NEW-DG;
3. At database level, rename the old datafile to the new name reported from the above command
4. Switch the new datafile to copy
5. Recover the new datafileHere, RMAN assigns automatically a unique name for the new datafile (OMF) and you only have to specify the new diskgroup name while using the COPY command which makes things easier. But say if you are using ASMCMD, then you cannot just specify the new diskgroup name for the CP command, which means that a unique name cannot be obtained automatically.
The below command does not work out.
asmcmd>cp OLD_DG/datafile/abc.123 NEW_DGYou need to specify the destination name as well something like below:
asmcmd>cp OLD_DG/datafile/abc.123 NEW_DG/abc.dbfHere you are getting a normal file and not OMF, though ASM internally creates a link for the file "+NEW_DG/abc.dbf" pointing to an OMF. ASMCMD makes you a bit more confusive.

I created two Aperture libraries from one large library. Some of the photos I want to keep in library #2 are in the trash of library #1. If I empty the trash of library #1, will it affect the same photos that were moved to library #2? I moved over 2,000 photos to create library #2. Their names are showing in the trash of library #1.

Are your images referenced or managed? If your partial libraries are referencing the same original files as the library you exported them from, be careful. Deleting the orignal on one library #1can delete it from the library #2. But if your originals are managed by Aperture inside the Aperture library, you can delete them.
I moved over 2,000 photos to create library #2. Their names are showing in the trash of library #1.
If you are not sure about referenced or managed, select one of the images you want to keep in the library where they are not in the Trash, then use the command "File > Show in Finder". If you can reveal them in the Finder, they are referenced and probably are shared between your libraries.
Or turn on "badge referenced files" in the Preferences > Appearance settings. Then your referenced images will show arrow badges.

Focus lost moving from one form to another in web deployed forms6i

I have developed an application using forms6i rel 2
The forms server is installed on windows 2000 and all necessary set up is done on the forms server. Patch 18 is also applied.
On the client side I am using IE 6 and JRE Java 2 Ver 1.5.0_9-b03
Everything works fine. But when I navigate from one form to another, the cursor focus is lost. This also happens when I navigate from one block to another block within the same form.
In such situation when I press Windows button on the key board twice, the cursor reappears. It seems the problem is because the applet window where the forms is running is not refreshed while navigating to different forms.
Can anybody guide me to solve this problem.

Hi,
I also have same problem ´but with forms 10g.
If i set SeprateFrame=True then it works fine. but if applet is inside ie window and i move from this IE window to any other window and come back then focus is set to first menu item.
whenever user comes back to forms apps, has to click somewhere in applet to activate it, this is so irritating.
Seems that even oracle does not have any workaround for this, same thing happens on forms demo which is provided by oracle.

Actually I wanted to know whether there is any command to change the owner ship of the table.
For ex table1 belongs to user1. can the owner of table1 to be changed to owner2.
directly using an oracle command. I knew that it can be done using import and export, since the table was 200 million thought the rename command would be faster instead of import and export.
Thanks Billy for letting me know that it is not possible using oracle query.
