Purchase Requisition Document Upload Though Web Service

Hi!
I really hope someone can help me with this one. My client creates purchase requisitions from an external system that interfaces into SAP. In SAP there is functionality to attach documents to a purchase req by choosing "Services for object". However, the client now has a new requirement that they want to upload and attach certain documents to the purchase req from their external system through a web service.
Is this possible? If not, is there another way they can upload the document to SAP? I stumbled upon the following web service: ECC_DOCUMENTCRTRC1. I have not been able to find any documentation on this web service. Can I use this web service for my requirement? If not, what does this web service do and does anyone maybe have some example code where this service is used?
Thank you!
Iwan Ferreira

Hi Iwan,
Where you able to perform this? Dis you find the WS? I'm facing the same situation...
Thanks a lot and best regards!

    Hi,
I am creating a webservice to upload a document, how can I upload the content without using Options.CONTENTSTREAM as it is mentioned that it cant be used for webservices.
I tried to upload using HttpConnection but I could not pass the entire session information to maintain the same session for the next operations.
Can anyone let me know how this can be done.

  • Purchase requisition document attachment

    Hi,
We are attaching document to Purchase requisition with the help
of "Services for object" icon on top left of PR screen.
User wants to know how to identify that a PR has document attached to
    it.
    Please advise.
    Regards,

    Hi Pratap,
A workaround solution is update the PR header note with "note attached" or some other appropriate text.
Easier for user to check the header than the services for object.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers !

  • Purchase requisition document type change after Enhancement pack 4

    HI,
we have recently upgraded to enhancement pack 4, after which i am not able to change purchase requisition document type.
In change mode ME52N, the system is allowing to make change but when i goback and display the same PR again the change is not visible in change history also.
I am able to make other changes. facing the problem with change in document type only.

    Hi,
One thing please note that once you select the document type and draft the PR and save the PR, you will  get the doc number.
Once you get the document number you cannot change the PR document type .
The reason is document type is linked with number range so it cannot be changed because different seriers of document number is assined to differentdocument type.
And moreover document type is linked with the screen settings also. So I would request you to check the settings for each doc. type

  • MRP and purchase requisition document type.

    Hi
where can I set the purchase requisition document type for
    MRP?
MRP generates purchase requisitions using document type NB instead of
    a custom document  type.
<b>How can I set the system so that generates purchase requisitions with
    a custom document type?</b>
    Best regards

    hi,
in Tranasction : OPPQ, you can assingn the user defined document type.
here standard is NB. There you can change the doucment type to ZNB like.
    hope this may help you,

  • Send a map of documents via Invoke Web Service

    Hi,
I have one process with map of documents and 2nd process on other server, where input variable is map od documents too. How can I send this map between these processes via "Invoke Web Service" component? Simple datatypes I can.
    Petr

Take a look at Quick Start: Assembling a PDF document using the web service API
It shows how to create an input map for multiple documents.
But it sounds like you're asking how to create a WSDL that allows you to use an input map as an argument in a Web Service invocation. If so, take a look at the Assembler services WSDL. For 8.2, access
    http://myServer:myPort/soap/services/AssemblerService?wsdl

  • Refreshing a document with Restful Web Services

    Hello,
I want to refresh a document with Restful Web Services. The document is based on a BEx query with a date variable, which is set as a prompt.
In order to refresh I send a PUT request like:
    PUT <webiURL>/documents/{documentId}/parameters
and add the parameter, which is the prompt variable, to the body:
    {"parameters":{"parameter":[{"id":0,"answer":{"@type":"Date","values":{"value":"2014-07-01T00:00:00.000+00:00"}}}]}}
Then I get a result like:
    {"success":{"message":"The resource of type 'Document' with identifier '1234' has been successfully updated.","id":1234}}
Now I assume that the document is refreshed. However if I now read the properties with:
    GET <webiURL>/documents/{documentId}/properties
    the lastrefreshtime is not changed.
Has anybody an idea what happens during a refresh and what is updated?
    Kind regards,
    Michael

    Hi,
I have analyzed that the refresh seems to be only valid for the current session. This means, if I logon, refresh the document and determine the properties, I get the new refresh time.
However, if I logoff, I still get the old refresh time. So the refresh is lost or only valid for a session.
    Is this the default behaviour?

  • How to change an Existing  Purchase Requisition Document in MM.

    Hi Folks,
I want to write a program to change a existing  Purchase Requisition in MM.
I found two BAPI's BAPI_PR_CHANGE and BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE , which could be used to change PR document in  ECC.
    I have following question:
    1) why we have two seprate BAPI's for changing PR.
    2) Do we need to use both BAPI's to change PR, depending on what value we are trying to change.
    3) Is it optional to use any of these two BAPI's
Or do we have any other way to implement this PR change process.( Bcoz of when i tried to debug standard PR change process, none of these two BAPI's has been called)
Which FM or method is called when, we try to change and save PR document manually.
I would appriciate, if some one has any sample code to implement this PR change process.
    Regards

BAPI_REQUISITION_CHANGE is the older BAPI, the one based on the older ERP transaction (ME5x family), while BAPI_PR_CHANGE is the newest one, referring to the "recent" Enjoy transaction (ME5xN family).
They both satisfy you task probably, but if you can chose, I'd go for BAPI_PR_CHANGE.

You can use the first or the second one, it's indifferent. The newest one will also trigger user exits from ME5xN family. Which transactions are used by the users on the ERP? Choose with regards to the transactions used during the normal activity.

Normal PR change operativity doesn't use BAPI. BAPIs are used to create/modify docs from "external" systems (it's not properly true, but let assume it), they provide a simple interface to populate with PR data and the process of creation/modification will trigger every check/userexit already defined for the standard transactions on the ERP.
In example, suppose that in ME51N you defined a custom check in a specific userexit which don't allow an user to create a material item which have odd quantity (odd example, I know ). Then using BAPI_PR_CREATE you will not be able to create a PR with items with odd quantity, because the same check will be executed.

  • NULL ARRAY PROBLEM... in DOCUMENT/LITERAL type web service

let method signature is like this,
    public int ABC(String[] a);
i am sending an null array from client side, like
    ABC(null);
but on web service layer i am getting an array with length 1
and element of this array is null.
for example, {null} where i should get simple null, not an array with null element.

My guess is that it is because .NET defaults to generating a document style interface whereas JDeveloper defaults to generating an RPC style interface. The end result is that JDeveloper wraps the document interface in something that looks document like - thus your client. To see how to handle this right now, check out this sample - you have to parse the XML:
    http://otn.oracle.com/tech/webservices/htdocs/series/net/content.html
In the preview of JDeveloper 9.0.3 which is due quite soon - next few weeks roughly (crossing my fingers) - JDeveloper will wrap .NET document based Web services in a much more elegant wrapper - giving you exactly what you are looking for - a method called Validate rather than a vector of Elements.
What I don't understand in your sample, however, is that you have WSDL generated from JDeveloper versus WSDL generated from .NET. Did you also do an implementation of the validate method in Java too?
    Mike.

  • Creating Purchase Requisition/Order from a CRM Service Order

    Hello,
My client is using CRM 4.0 with Service Industry add-on.
I am trying to kick out a purchase requisition from a service order, but does not go through.
The Service Order is released in CRM and an internal order does get created in R/3. The material that I am using is a service product (defined in R/3 and used in CRM) and I trying to procure External services.
All the requisite configuration in CRM and R/3 have been done.
I get an error message E06 436 (In case of account assignment, please enter account assignment data for Item).
Would appreciate any feedback in this regard.

    Hi,
I am working on the some scenario. Based on the limited documentation, it appears that you have to create a service master in R/3 that is than replicated to CRM (object SERVICE_MASTER). I did this, and this works. However, I am facing the issue that there is no sales data assigned to the service product in CRM, while you do need this (service order is not complete).
I hope that I will have an answer for this, and then I think that it should work.
The PO that is created in R/3 will contain an item with item category D and account assignment F (in our case, as we work with internal orders as account assignment object).
The receipt of the service provided will then be posted by means of a service entry sheet in R/3.

  • JAX-rpx document literal type web services

I was trying to create a Document centric Web service. I followed all the steps in the document "Patterns and Designs for Building Document based Web Services" available at java.sun.com. I created the XSD's and WSDL files (top down approach). i used the following command of wscompile tool to generate the java source code.
    wscompile -import -d build/classes -keep -s build/src -model build/model.xml.gz
to publich the web service on a server.
When the tool generates the code, the parameters for the method are the elements of the schema, instead of being an object, specified in the WSDL.

    Dear,
I do not want to let users use "Document Overview"
    on Purchase Requisition screen.
So, I set "Document Overview On" buttun invisible by screen variant(SHD0 - menu function).
But after using "Document Overview" on Purchase Order screen, it appear automatically on purchase requisition screen.
Can anyone tell me the solution?

    Hi,
In standard SAP this functionality is not available but with the help of ABAPer you can develop your requirement or through User Exit.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Creating a Document type Asynchronous Web Services

    Hi,
I am trying to create a Document typ Asynchronous webservice, following the request/reply pattern. Can anyone point me to some tutorial which explains this, or explain the way the service implementation has to be.
I want to know how to do the call back or polling faclity in the service implementation.

    Hello,
The OracleAS Core Web Service stack currently (10.1.3 and earlier) does not have any API/DevModel, to create an Asynch service.
However you can still use JAX-RPC/SAAJ APIs to manipulate the WS-Addressing information to faciliate the call back. For the implementation itself you will have to choose what fits you the best, for example using JMS under the cover to process the event that will do the call back.
It is also true that today, we have lot of customers that use Oracle BPEL to create asynchronous services since it is 100% declarative.
