Purging OSB Alerts using WLST scripts

I am using the below script to purge the OSB Alerts. I am connecting to the OSB managed server to purge the alerts.

The components that make up WLDF will be targeted to a single managed server in a clustered environment or to the Admin server in a single server environment. To establish what managed server this is, check to see where the WLI Aggregator application is targeted to. The WLDF data will be stored under this single managed server in the following location: //domain_name/servers/server_name/data/store/diagnostics/Check that on which server WLI Aggregator application is targeted and connect to that server from your script.

After reading your mail, I assume that you are using JMS reporting provider bundled with OSB. Please be advised that, the bundled version is not full-pledged reporting provider designed to suit all customer needs/use case. More of a bare bones version.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/operations/wwimages/reporting_framework.gif--- Will give you better clarity on the architecture. ReportingDataManager is not designed to hold statistics. So OSB will cannot expose any JMX API.
The data/statistics showed in sbconsole are directly picked from Database http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/operations/wwimages/jms_reporting_provider.gif .
So if you wan to purge the details programatically then only option avaialble are
1) JDBC program to delete records from TABLES WLI_QS_REPORT_ATTRIBUTE,WLI_QS_REPORT_DATA (not recommended as reporting provider internal working is not in pubic domain. Said that it would not take much time to understand how report data is stored in the above tables).
2) Write a custom reporting provider which will have capability you are looking. http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/javadoc/index.html (easiest way)

Why do we use WLST Scripting when things can be done manually??

why do we use WLST scripting for things like deleting Queue _ _ etc , which can be done manually (through console)Please help i am newbie in this technology

In addition to the practical reasons which Barosa supplied, it is also a best practice for addtional reasons:
<ul><li>removing human errors from typos, omissions, etc
</li>
<li>making certains tasks (domain creation, configuration, application deployments, etc) repeatable, especially ones with many steps
</li>
<li>tasks that are repeatable, once tested, have a high degree of confidence that they will be done exactly the same way next time with a script
</li>
</ul>
There are many more, but hopefully this gives you an idea of the benefits.

Appending FTP adapter using WLST Script

Hi Everybody,
Creating an FTP adapter using wlst script and the adapter is getting created sucessfully in FTP but when trying to creae one more FTP adapter it
overriding instead of appending the FTP adapter it with new one. Can any help on this please.
As this is an urgent delivarable which needs to be delivered.

I will take it other way as we need to process the Data File not Marker File ( its just for checking the Data File is completely written on FTP server).
Other way mean " Will Poll for Data.txt File and if found then Runtime OS Command will do connect to FTP and check if Marker File exists, if yes then delete the marker file and read the actual Data File for processing.
Please let me know, if Marker File does not exists on FTP folder, will it still read the Data File or will it exit the Adapter execution?

OSB - Creating SLA Alerts using WLST

Hi,
I'd like to create SLA Alerts on proxy services using WLST rather than via the service bus console.
The MBean described at:

only seem to allow enabling or disabling SLA alerts not creating them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Does and how osb 11g support WLST scripts

Does 11g support WLST scripts to import and export OSB configuration?
Here are the old ones (as I see, dated 03.03.2009). For old 10.3 they worked perfectly.

In new release names of few libraries changed (e.g. from com.bea.common.configfwk_1.2.1.0.jar to com.bea.common.configfwk_1.3.0.0.jar), so I simply changed the names in my scripts to use them for 11g. It didn't work. Old scripts (with old libs) don't work for 11g either.
So my question is does OSB still support this kind of deploying, and how can I do that?

Create Customization File in OSB 10g with WLST script

Is it possible to create a customization file the same as created from the OSB console with a WLST script?
Can someone show me the syntax to do this? I need to turn this request around quickly and don't have time for a lot of trial and error.

I have created calculation script as per provided guideline but here I am facing problem.

here instead of target & target1 i m not getting what should i write here.
& it gives me am error like:

I have created SetEmailProp.java files & also created other files from the provided site.
is their any need to do changes in this file according to requirement?

The Detailed Process is :
I have downloaded CDF_Email .zip here,I got CDF_Email.jar and , SendMail.java,SetEmailProp.Java,AlertFunctions.java classes.Then I have downloaded CDF_export.jar.
After that I have followed all the process that written in document guide (adistrategies.com) from "KB26_Email In Calculation Script".
I placed all these .java files and .jar files in ARBORPATH java folder . here I have created one "udf folder" and put all the files in this folder as per the guideline provided in this document.
About udf.policy I haven't did any changes in this file. could you tell me what is the neccessary changes are required in udf.policy file to achive this task.

Configuring Credential mapper using WLST script

Is it possible to use a wlst script to define a new credential mapper.i.e.to [perform the following steps:
Check Use cross-domain protocol.
And then fill in the the values of the attributes which follow like remote host remote user and remote password.
I tried using the wlst recording for the same.However got the following message.
A security change to a role, policy, user, group or credential mapping was made, but this change was not recorded.
I was wondering if we can access the security MBeans using WLST.
Please advise.

Creating SessionMBean error while deploying OSB through WLSt script

I tried debugging it and i am still getting the same error. I used the script provided byoracle and the script which is given here.

How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE

Hello,
I want to create automatically an "Oracle service bus project" and an "Oracle service bus configuration project" with scripts (ANT or Maven or ...) without using IDE, without using workshop or Eclipse. I want to create automatically (ANT or Maven) just a skeleton of an OSB project witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create 1 "Oracle service bus configuration project" with many "Oracle service bus project" automatically (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop. How to create a new Oracle OSB project automaticaly with script without IDE ? How can i do this ?
I'm using Oracle service bus 10.3.1

The goal is that I have more than 40 projects to create and just the name of the projects that changes (when I say the name of the project ie the name of the OSB project, the name of proxy services and the name of business services ).
So I want to give my script (ANT/Maven) the name of 40 OSB project and the script must generate the skeleton of the 40 projects at once time and after generation of skeleton of the 40 project, I will import them in the workshop to add manually mapping and routing and other things that differs from one project to another.
So i want to generate automatically a skeletons of 40 OSB projects using a script (ANT / Maven) and I give to the script juste the names of the 40 projects.
I want to create a "Oracle service bus configuration project" and "Oracle service bus project" automatically of 40 OSB projects (ANT or Maven or scripts) witch i can use after in workshop.
I want to create one 'template' of all 40 projects in the same time, with the same directory structure (Transforlation, Business services, proxy services, WSDL .....) and all 40 project have the same transport, just the names of projects and services witch changes and i can give to the script all names of projects and services and i can give also all WSDL.

Did you try going to the WLST documentation and searching for it? Go to [http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs92/pdf/config_scripting.pdf] and search for "Changing a Password". The example there seems to be what you need.
