Pushing Active X Browser to background

Hi,
What I would like to do in Labview 6.1 is to have an internet browser
window in the background (done using an active X container but any
other way would be fine too) and to superimpose a picture over the
front of it so that I can highlight certain parts of the webpage using
a flashing circle.
Is this possible? I have the container but I can't get it to go to the background.

No. Any window, if set as child window (so it's on your front panel), always in the front of any LabVIEW objects.
Work around:
1. Put picture control on another window/panel, and set that window as child window too.
2. Capture browser window, and display it in another picture control.
3. Hide browser window.
4. Put picture control on another vi, and set the vi to topmost.

Acrobat Pro 9 - URL link to open in browser in background (behind PDF)?

Hi! I've been searching for days now... does anyone know if it's possible using Acrobat Pro 9 to force a URL link to open in the background, behind a PDF in order to keep the reader at the PDF instead of instantly switching to their web browser?
This is used for a capabilities presentation, where we would like the view to continue reading the PDF but if they click links, the links will load in their browser where they can review them after finishing the PDF - instead of instantly being taken to the browser.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Go the the Applications -> Utilities folder. In there you will find the Disk Utility app. When you run that application, you can select your hard drive. Then click on the Fix Permssions button.

Acrobat 9 trial PDF Active X browser control seems to be missing

Hi, I've downloaded Acrobat 9 SDK and the trial version of Acrobat 9.
I can see the AcroPDF and all the interfaces / classes the doc is refering to but not the reader 9 viewer compliant Active X. It's neither in the toolbox of Visual Studio nor in the component list and I've serached for .ocx in the whole adobe directory unsuccessfully.
Is it just not part of the trial version ?
Alternatively, I diplay the viewer this way but I'd like to evaluate the Acrobat Reader option.

By the way, how can I assign my form to hold (be the parent of) this AcroAppClass ?

I mean the ActiveX, obviously I don't know its file name since I can't find it...
Here is what the sample comment says (in the code):
This is a simple C# sample demonstrating how to use PDF ActiveX control
in a C# application. To do that, you need first add it to your project's
references by selecting "Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browswer Control Type Library 1.0"
from "Project - Add References... - COM". In order to be able to drag-drop
the ActiveX control to a window in your application, you need add the Acrobat
ActiveX control to the "Toolbox" by selecting "Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browser
Control" from "Tools - Add/Remove Toolbox Items... - COM".
Pb: Adobe Acrobat Browser Control is not part of the list.
Also, samples didn't show how to create the viewer control into a parent window, it opens in a separate free window

Resizing browser to background image size

I am trying to redo my website and I want to have a large landscape image on the opening page and for the browser to automatically resize to the proportions of the images and for the image to change in size when the browser window is changed in size.
To make it easier to understand I want it to work like this:-

Error accessing Web Services afer a Push Activation

I am facing a strange problem when I try to access a web service after my Midlet is activated via Push Registry: when the stub is trying to invoke the web service, the device (the Wtk 2.2 emulator) asks the permission to use the airtime Internet and, after I press Yes, it does nothing.
When I try to invoke the web service via an user activated Midlet, this problem does not exist and the connection to the web service is established.
I'm using Sun Wtk 2.2, sun Web Services API and the Push Registry. The target devices will work on CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0.

Weblogic does not have any such tool to call the web service hosted on remote machine.
However in order to drill down the issue, you can create a standalone class and try to access the remote web service from the same machine where the WLS is installed and the application is deployed.
If the standalone class can access the web service then this is the issue with the WLS configuration for sure.

Java won't be activated in Browser

Hi, there!
After ugrading to Mavericks, I can't activate Java in Java's Control Panel and Safari no longer has the option to activate java in it's Preferences.
Any idea? Did Apple banned Java for good? Do I need to use another browser? (Chrome doesn't work for what I need).
I still need to use Java. I hope I won't need to use Windows for that.

Lightbox Error - Browser resizing background by a few pixels when closing, causing browser scrollbar

I've noticed that when using a lightbox there's an error that commonly occurs. When you close the lightbox, it shifts the browser window size around 5 pixels and creates scrollbars and then shifts back. It's a small error, but looking at the code it looks like it's resizing the background when closing for some reason, and adding the scrollbars and then shifting the browser window size.

Is anyone with adobe gonna comment on issuse. Why would pay for Muse if there is no help from the support team when help or feedback is wanted.???

I'm now getting a similar error, My website is a single page, anchor scrolled site, and so has a scrollbar at the side.
When lightbox is opened, the sidebar goes, making the site jump sideways, then back again when the lightbox is closed and the scrollbar reappears.
It's very untidy looking and I really dislike it.

New Browser Window - Background Colour

I have a QT movie I want to link to from a webpage. I want it
to open in a new window of a particular size. Using the Behaviors
panel I can do this, though how do I specify a black (not white)
background?
I'm sure the code is very straightforward someone?

Keep application in active state infinitely in background

Hi all
Now I am performing location services in iOs. Application has to saving user 's location even if it is working in background !
I tried to use applicationDidEnterBackground but the application can keep active state (when it can save user 's location ) only in 10 minutes.
Please advice me to solve this problem.

Browser Fill background not filling page. And website scrolling right to reveal whitespace.

The background used with browser fill is not reaching the footer when it is plenty big enough. (1400 px height). I have tried fiddling with "set to" options to no avail.
Also, the site is scroilling to the right showing white space whcih is obviously not OK.
I am very experienced with HTML, CSS, JS, etc, but decided to try out Muse this time. Unofortunately, due to Muse assigning completely arbitrary CSS tags, I can not decipher where the problem may be in the code. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated!

The white space on the right (and the horizontal scroll bar) is most commonly caused by an empty text frame or other no fill no stroke object drawn off to the right of the page in Design view. Try using Object:Unlock All on Page (if you normally make use of the Lock feature) and then do a Select All and look for handles that appear for one or more objects positioned off the right of the page in Design view (repeat the process in Design view for the master page that's applied).
For the browser fill, is the Browser Fill "Scale to Fill" option selected?

It looks like you have more than one problems so it might be good to separate them out.
Issue 1 - Logging on to BusinessObjects
You say that when you try log on to the BO Platform you get the error message there is no central management server running on port 6400. I'm assuming you are trying to do this from the Dashboard designer.
Does it work when you try to log on from the web browser?
Make sure that you enter the correct system name in the system field when trying to log on from Designer. If you are unsure, either check what system name is used when you log on from your browser or check with your BO administrator.
Issue 2 - Passing values to a child dashboard
If you try to preview the dashboard in the designer, remember that the swf loader doesn't work in preview mode, so whatever you are trying to display won't be visible.
First of all you need to have 2 separate flash files that works independently of each other. The one that you are planning to use as a child flash, make sure that you create the flash variables so you can pass variables to it and use them to filter your data if that is your requirement. But hold off on that for now.
When you have 2 working flash files, save them both to the BI Launch Pad (or InfoView if you are on 3.1) and make sure they both work there. Then get the opendocument url for the child dashboard and try to open it in your browser directly using this url. If that works, use the same url in the swf viewer in the parent dashboard, save the parent dashboard back to BI Launch Pad and open it. It should now work.
Let me know if you have any problems with these steps.

Fixed Background (resizing browser so background does not move)

Im a noob at dreamweaver so please bear with me while I try to explain this to you guys.
Im designing a website, and I need to keep the background image in a fixed position, so that when u resize the browser it doesnt move and stays in the place that you want it to according to the main page. For example the adobe forums that we are in, when you resize the window, the background doesnt move, but instead extends, leaving the checkerd design where it is next to the page, except I need that on both sides. (For example, gametrailers.com, resizing it leaves the designs next to the page.
I cant really explain it much more than that, I just need the background image to stay fixed behind the page, and I have no clue how to do it, not to mention what the method or style is called so I cant search for tutorials. Sorry if I used wrong termanoligy or anything, really new to this.

If you're not familiar with CSS, now's a good time to start learning to decipher the above.
You may want to use "fixed" instead of "scroll"

Torch 9800 - Mobile Data and BIS not activated - Mail & Browse fail, Opera Mini is slow and MSN and Yahoo go in timeout

I have a BB Torch 9800 with OS 6.0 Bundle 2534
I had a contract with the Mobile Operator including the Data Package and everything was working fine, I have access to the mail through BIS, MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger was working Ok, as far as Whatsup. Also the Browser was working Ok.
When I was on roaming I have settled “Roaming Off” in “Mobile Network Options” to just use Internet over Wi-Fi when I was under the Wi-Fi coverage.
Then I’ve decided to migrate the contract to “Recharchable” and also decided to dismiss the Data Packet because of cost limitations. Now I have BIS in “not connected” state.
Problem now is that I cannot get the apps working when connected to any Wi-Fi AP.
Mail is not working. MSN & Yahoo returns the message “Unable to find the requested server” when attempting to login. The Browse is also not working and only Opera Mini seems to work but it takes several minutes to build a page.
I’ve also tried to ping the AP and it rarely succeed, sometimes all attempts are failing, sometimes one attempt succeed.
It seems to my eyes that there is a terribly big delay and some applications (except mail and browse that shows not to work) go in timeout with the message previously described.
I’m not sure whether BIS access or no access is influencing the BB behavior with a Wi-Fi connection and making dramatically slower.
The BB connects at Layer 1 with the AP because I can see the BB MAC address at the AP’s menu. I’ve tried also with DHCP Client and Manual IP configuration, no way.
I’ve found at http://forums.crackberry.com/general-blackberry-discussion-f2/unable-find-requested-server-bb-9330-a... that it could be a bug in the 6.0.
I’ve searched tons of forum postings and it seems no one has the clue of this problem. Unfortunately the Torch 9800 cannot be upgraded to the 7.x. this is really bad as it seems I have purchased a “dead” mobile phone.
Of course I’ve tried with lots a different Aps. I’m a technician and I think I’ve done a proper troubleshooting before to come to this conclusion.
Anyone has an update about this problem or, I have no other chance than throwing away this phone and purchase a nice Samsung Note II hopping not be blocked with another unexpected showstopper.

The only two options available to you are adding BIS to your plan or continue using Opera which works outside of BIS (the BlackBerry browser does not).

Capture With Converter Locks If Any Other App Window Is Brought To Front!

This occurs when capturing via my DAC-100 A/D Converter using either FCE 4 or FCP 6.
Whilst capturing, if I click on an already opened app which brings its window uppermost, and later hide the window, I no longer have any control over FCE/FCP.
I can't even abort the capture.
My only option is to Force Quit FCE/FCP.
The cure is simple . . . . . don't open any other window whilst capturing!
However, I am curious to know whether this is normal and others have experienced it.

For what its worth Ian, I've never had any problems at all pushing active captures to the background though its a long long time since I had cause or want to do so ... back then I was using FCP 4.5 and FCP 5 capturing from Digibeta machines through Blackmagic Decklink cards to DVCPRO50. Whatever the issue you are seeing is, its either specific to your set up or perhaps is an issue that is particular to newer hardware / software combos in general. Capture of regular DV over firewire is far far far from processor intensive.

TOC tab pushing down master slide background

Why is this happening? It only occurs on three new slides and it pushes down the master slide (background only, not content)

I am using Captivate 7. Here are two screen shots; one that is displayed correctly and one that pushes the master slide down, but leaves the content in place.
