Putting a JTable in order

Does a JTable have a command that sort it.??? like Sorte(column1), and then its sorts the table???
Ice

If you dont find such method try this:
1.Make your objects(those that you show in the Table) implement the Comparable interface.
It is easy - there is only one method: int compareTo(Object o).
2.Put your objects in a collection(if they arent held by one already).
3.Invoke the static Collections.sort(Collection c), on your collection(ArrayList, HashSet, etc.).
If i wrote something wrong, please correct it.

  • I have just put an audio book into my iTunes music library.  When I tried to transfer it to my iPod shuffle it rearranged the tracks so that they are in the wrong order.  How can I put them in the order they appear in the book?

I have just put an audio book into my iTunes music library.  When I tried to transfer it to my iPod Shuffle it put the chapters in the wrong order i.e. Chap 1, Chap 10, Chap 11 etc. rather than Chap 1, Chap 2, Chap 3 ...  How can I get it to put them in the order they appear in the book?

First, we need to know if the audiobook chapters are being treated by iTunes as music files or as audiobooks. If they are not audiobooks purchased from the iTunes store, they might be getting "shuffled". You will need to look at "File" - "Properties" (I think - I don't use iTunes under Windows - or right-click on the file and choose "properties") and look at the media type. If it is "Music", change it to "Audiobook". If this is not the problem, or does not fix anything, please post back.
Actually, looking at your post again, a second thought occurs to me - assuming there are less than 100 chapters in the book, just renaming them with a leading zero on the first nine chapters might do it. A computer will alphabetically sort filenames in the order you quote (1, 10, 11, 12, 13, ... 2, 21, etc.) but a leading zero will fix that (01, 02, 03 ... 10, 11, 12)

  • How do you put websites in alphabetical order on pages for iPad?

Trying to find a way to put websites into alphabetical order on pages for iPad. Any ideas?

You will find some instructions for using Pages here: http://www.apple.com/support/ios/pages/
But essentiall, you will need to create a table, place each URL in its own row, Tap the header to select the column, and select Sort (ascending).

  • Putting a JTable on a Graphics-Object

    Hello,
I want to print out a JTable. To do so I created a Pront-Job object and received with the 'getGraphics()'-method its Graphics object. My problem now is how I can put my JTable on it, because I found no matching method. Can anybody help me ?
    Thanx,
    Findus

I don't think that there is a graphics object that can draw tables (maybe I am wrong, but I can't remember one).
To help you out you could take all table entries, put it into a 2 dimensional array and let the print routine set all text by hand.

  • Putting songs in chronological order

I've downloaded a cd directly into my iPad mini..
The question is how can I put it in chronological order..
    1234,etc.. thank u

Since tracks on an album are generally released at the same time, there is no "chronological order", so I will assume you mean track order. Nor can you directly add a CD's contents to an iPad (it must be ripped to itunes on a computer first).  If the track order is properly assigned in itunes it show up in correct order in the Music app on the iPad, so that would be the first thing to check (each track should be as 1 of 10, 2 of 10, 3 of 10, for example). If not tagged properly, you will need to delete them from the iPad and then resync once the tagging is corrected.

  • Putting iPhone pics in order

I have a number of folders on my iPhone which contain names/titles that I would like to have in alphabetical order.  Every time I add a photo with a new name, it joins the end of the folder rather than jumping in its correct alphabetical place.  The phone is clearly ordering my photos by the date taken, how do I tell it to put them in name order??
    Thanks.....

You can't. The iPhone Photos app orders photos by date. Apple would have to change this, you can suggest such here:

I have the latest Creative Cloud versions of Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile on my Ipad. On my desktop I have created a collection which I have put in a custom order. On my Ipad I go into that collection and set the order to custom order, which I presume means the order I have on my desktop. However, the photos on the Ipad seem to be just random photos from the collection THEN the rest of the collection is in the correct order after that.

Do you have virtual copies in your collection?
Could you please send send me a LR Desktop +Mobile diagnostig log  - best as a private message with a downloadable dropbox link
You can trigger the Lr Desktop diagnostig log via LR Desktop preferences -> Lightroom Mobile and when you hold down the alt key you will notice a generate diagnostic log button.
The Lr Mobile app log can be triggered when you open up the settings and long press the to LR Icon a diagnostic log will be generated and attached to your local mail client. While opening the settings could you double check if you are signed-in?
    Thanks

  • Putting names in alphabetical order what program is used

I was wondering which program do I use to put names in alphabetical order.

    Mon,
Download Devon WordService. Put it in Macintosh HD, Library, Services. Then go to System Preferences, Hardware, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts, and activate the Sort items.
To sort your names, select them and then go to File > Services > Sort Lines.
If your names are in a table, use the table inspector to do the sort, and you don't need WordService.

I've just installed mountain lion and my files are all out of their previous folders. Can I set them back or do I need to manually put them back in order??

    Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the response.  So, after the computer did it's restart thing after installing I went into finder where I usually have everything come up including my Macintosh HD folder and all it's folders and files.. Anyway it was this that hadn't come up and all the files were listed under All My Files and out of all their folders.  I totally switched the computer off after posted the problem and now having switched it back on I see that it's all there and in it's proper files.

  • Iweb issues - photos are put in a RANDOM ORDER when added to photo grid

My website created with i-WEB contains a lot of photos.
When I add them to a photo grid (on a page using the "Photos" template, by dragging and dropping from Finder) the order of the photos is randomized by i-web.
They are kind of in reverse order (highest file number first) but with a large number of files just randomly arranged in no particular order. The files have simple numerical names like "img_100, img_101, img_102" etc which are in numerical / date order in Finder, but when loaded into i-web are not in any order.
I can't see a feature / option anywhere in I-web to re-arrange images according to name. I can of course manually rearrange them which is fine for a dozen images, but not when I have 500.
I have tried adding a small number of images to see if it's a problem with overloading the software with too many, but the problem happens with 5 images as well as 500.
    (this is i-web '08)
    Matt

The photo app puts files in date/time order and ignores their names.
You can look for another app that may honor file names (sorry, I don't know any to recommend) or you can find a program that alters your file properties. If all the files have properties that read the same date and time, then it defaults to alphabetical order

  • Putting artists in alphabetical order????

I need help with this one, my Library was in order by artists and then one dy it was all jumblede and I cannot figure out how to fix it back. Can someone please help me.
    Thank You

Clicking on the header of the artist column should put your songs in alphabetical order by artist. Clicking on the header a second time will reverse the order.

  • Putting Albums in chronological order?

I was wondering if there was a way to get iTunes to put the albums of the artists in chronological order, rather than alphabitical order. The way I like to have my CDs arranged in my CD case is alphabetically by artists, and if the artisits has more than one album, I want those in the order that they were released, and I just can't seem to find a way to do with with my music on iTunes. Suggestions?

Like you and PT, I also have my (physical) CDs sorted by artist and the albums in chronological order.
iTunes can only set to sort on one column, but sometimes sorting is done on multiple criteria, so iTunes is capable of sorting on multiple columns.
If you sort on artist or album and have tagged the tracks with track and disc numbers, iTunes will also sort on these criteria.
Unfortunately sorting on multiple columns by the user, is not implemented.
