Putting a Running limit on a Concurrent Program

Hi All experts ,
Required you help on the same . On our site we want to put a run limit on a concurrent ( Like we put a user using Active Concurrent Requests ) . We want a concurrent named XYZ to run only 10 at a time . That means only 10 concurrent will be allowed to run simultaneously . If user sumbmitted the 11th concurrent that it should to go to pending Standby or any other state ...
Waiting curiously for some creative suggestion ..

Thanx for this . Even I'm thinking of this solution . But right now looking for some other options , if there is any . Otherwise I'll do the same . But it also has some drawbacks ..
1.) if 10 request are running already and user submit the 11 th then it will show it as a PENDING NORMAL ..
2.) If I have to do it for 15-20 requests , Then creating concurrent manager and then defining the program to them is not right ...

Error in running a order import concurrent program

Please tell me what type of error is this ,i am using user 'operations',and i have inserted data to the interface table successfully but while running the concurrent program ,i am getting this error.

Error while running the rdf using concurrent program

Hi All,
I am facing the following error when i try to run the concurrent program
REP-0736: There exist uncompiled program unit(s).
REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL.
I am using a package in the program units. when i ues it the database its working fine. but when i use in the rdf.
it is throwing the above error.
Also the rdf is scuccessfully compiled.
Please let me know what should be done now??

re-open
re-connect
open pgm unit procedure
compile each pgm unit individually
then ctrl+shift+k
ctrl+t
try now

How to run custom Oracle report6i concurrent program in web forms

I developed a custom report using oracle6i and registered into AOL and assigned to a request group. I can run this concurrent program from form based application works fine. How to run this concurrent request from web forms?
What are the steps to follow to create a concurrent program link on web forms?
I want run this request and pass parameters and output also in web forms...
I'm a first time user of web forms, So kindly reply with detailed steps to define concurrent request in web forms for a custom report.

Creating a PLSQL Procedure as Concurrent Program

Folks:
I am new both to PLSQL and Concurrent program creation. I am actually working on a process for deploying changes from one environment to another, so I want to create a simpel PLSQL procedure that I can then register as a concurrent program, and finally test the download/uplaod of this procedure and program from one instance to another.
I tried reading the Developer documentation on creating concurrent program, but couldn't find the information I was looking for. Here are some of my questions:
1) The PLSQL procedure that I want to run as concurrent program, can it be declared within a new custom package, or does it have to be created as a procedure.
2) In the concurrent program executable registration window, can i specify directly the name of this new procedure or do I need to create an additional wrapper PLSQL procedure that has Concurrent Program related attribute (Developer guide seemed to incline that way).
3) What should be put in the 'File' parameter on Concurrent Program Execution Window in the case of pl/sql concurrent program. There is no file, so what to put in there?
4) Any other place I can find step by step how to for making a 'PLSQL" package a concurrent program?

1) Create PL/SQL Package with "main" procedure that has arguments ERRBUF and RETCODE plus your other required arguments.
2) xxxx_pkg.main as per 1.
3) xxxx_pkg.main (the package and procedure name)
4) Best place to look is at an existing program! Plenty of basic examples on the net. Here's a link that has basic package and screens:

There are several notes on metalink for "RVTBM-007: Subroutine rvtbm_batch_mngr() returned error".
Take a look at those.
Also if you are using dual uoms, make sure that setup and conversion is setup correctly.

How can i control concurrent programs?

When ruinning GL & OPM concurrent programs, de-grades server peformance. How can i control it? I want to restrict the user not to submit or does not run during office-hours. How can it be achieved?

Please mention the application release, the database version and the OS.
Was the performance accepted before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Is the issue with standard or custom concurrent programs? Also, please mention the concurrent program names (if possible).
Do you run "Gather Schema Statistics" concurrent program on regular basis?
To find out why those concurrent program affects the performance, enable trace as per (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12) and generate the TKPROF file.
You could schedule the concurrent program to run at certain times -- See "Oracle Applications System Administrator's Guide Documentation Set" for details.

How to get an eText output after registering its concurrent program

I have registered a concurrent program based on eText template in Oracle Apps. 11.5.10. After that, I had registered its template in XML Publisher keeping its type as eText-Outbound. Now when I run the request, my concurrent program runs fine without publishing any output i.e. the template doesnt get attached to the program. So when I manually attach the template to the report explicitly and run it now, it faces a error which is in Java script. Please suggest the needful.

You can create SQLPlus concurrent request where you can call the request for ALECDC
Here is an example.

Same way as you define any other concurrent program.
Define Executable based on this JCP. Concurrent>Program>executable
Create report Definition based on this executable from Concurrent>Program>Define.
Include this report definition to respective report set.

Getting Error when running sql from concurrent program in R12

I created concurrent program and attached EXECUTABLE which executable method as SQL plus .
Using this program I am running one SQL file in R12 when I am running I am getting below error .

I am not sure if I understand the question correctly, but if you are asking what I think you are asking, then you can restrict the number of simultaneous concurrent jobs that a user is allowed to run with this profile option;
"Concurrent:Active Request Limit"
I recommend that you set this at the User level and not the Site level since this parameter has caused problems for me in the past (certain types of transactions submit a batch of concurrent jobs, and if all the jobs are not able to start at the same time then the concurrent jobs go into a pending state and never complete. I have not worked out why this happens, so I just stopped restricting the number of concurrent jobs that a user could run).
