Putting photos on your ipod

can someone explain to me how to do this in a very easy way please. im new to the ipod world and im lost.
thank you

Well, if that's the case, make sure you have enough space left on the iPod for it to hold all of these pictures.
It could also be that the photos are not in an iPod compatible format. This article goes into that in detail:

If you need to, I'm sure you can find software that will resize the photos or change the format for you, either with software that you already have on your computer or by searching for something else. I use IrfanView (it's really straightforward, search for it on download.com).

  • Regarding putting photos on your iPod Nano.

Hi, I was just wondering how you do it.. I've tried all the steps they give you on the instruction manual and the website, but the photos still aren't showing up on my iPod.. anyone know what's going on here.?

    You've seen this?

It's hard to know what's gone wrong for you since we don't know what you may have done, or not done.
If you see what I mean. : )

  • How  do you put songs on your ipod with the new itunes?

How  do you put songs on your ipod with the new itunes?

Do you mean remove them from the iPod or transfer them back to your computer? You can't transfer photo's back to the computer with iTunes. To retrieve photos from an iPod try:
    iPodPhotoCopy Windows only
    CopyPodPhoto Windows only
iPod Photo Liberator Mac & Windows
To remove individual photos from an iPod you delete or remove the photo from the folder that you linked to when you set the preference "synch photos from" and update the iPod. For example, if the iPod is getting the pictures from the folder "My Pictures," delete or remove them from My Pictures.

  • How do you put pictures on your ipod nano?? i go to edit i click preferences and after that im so confused, how do you put pictures on your ipod nano?? i go to edit i click preferences and after that im so confused

How do you put pictures on your ipod nano?? i was told to go to edit then click prefereces but after that i am completly lost.

Put all the pictures you want to put on your ipod in one folder on your computer. Then, once you're in itunes, click on your ipod (under the devices section). Once you've done this, click on photos at the top and click on the box beside Sync Photos (so there's a tick in the box). It'll say 'sync photos from .......' and then a drop down bar. In the drop down bar it will probably say my pictures or something, click on that. Then click selected folders (unless you want to put all of your pics on) and then tick the folder you want to put on your ipod. Finally, click sync (bottom right hand corner) - it'll load and then your done.

  • How do i unlock my libary and put photos o my ipod the easy way?

first of all, i cant do anything to MY libary its has this little lock and its all faded!!!! i cant do anything!!!
and how do i put photos on my ipod? in a easy, small, explanation? PLEASE HELP!

To answer your other question, grey text and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen would indicate that your iPod is set to "automatically update songs and playlists". If you wanted to access your iPod directly, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you would simply change the update method to "Manually manage songs and Playlists" in the iPod preferences. One other thing to remember about manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. "Safely disconnect iPod" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61135
    For info:
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

  • How do you get your album's songs to stay together when you put them on your ipod/iphone, when some songs have a ft. artist?

How do you get your album's songs to stay together when you put them on your ipod/iphone, when some songs have a ft. artist?
Even when I try to change the featured artist in my I tunes, it won't stay with my other songs, and I want to be able to listen to my album in the order of the songs that the album has it.

The iTunes/iPod software isn't set up to let you sync songs from more than one libray, but if you manually manage the iPod you can add tracks from multiple computers without removing the existing content. Personnaly I think syncing with a library is a much better way to manage your iPod, so I'd suggest you just copy the stuff you bought at work onto a memory stick, then take it home and import it into your iTunes library there.

  • Can you browse photos on your iPod in iTunes?

I've got a 5th Gen 60GB Video iPod, and down in the right-hand corner of the iTunes window it says "6 photos." But that's it. Is there any way that I can browse these photos in iTunes, perhaps if I wanted to manually update the photos?

as far as i know, you cannot check your photos in iTunes, but i do have another solution...
iTunes uses a folder located somewhere in your hard-drive (you designate it)...
if you wish to be able to browse your Photos, try this (it will be using a basic "folder" in your comptuer)
    1: Plug in your iPod
2: when the iPod and iTunes sync, open up the iPod options menu...
3: click ont he tab labeled "Photos"
4: check mark the box that says "Synchronize Photos From:", and then in the drop down menu click "Choose Folder"
5: a window will appear allowing you to choose a folder in your computer for photos (any pictures you have in this folder will automaticly be added to your iPod when you sync with iTunes)
6: if you wish to add/delete any photos from your iPod just add/delete them from the folder

  • Is there a a way to get photos from your iPod back onto your computer?

My sister's computer crashed, and she lost all her photos. Her pictures are on her iPod, but I can't find a way to get them onto another computer. I searched posts looking for programs that could help, but they all cost money. Does anyone know of free programs that can help me????

There aren't any free ones that I know of, but if you copied photos to your iPod using the full resolution option, enable disk use, open your iPod in "my computer" in Windows or Finder on a Mac, open the photos folder then open the "full resolution" folder and drag the photos out of that folder to your desktop. For enabling disk use look here.
    Disk Use.
If you only copied the photos as thumbnails, you can't do this so you'll need a program such as this one.
    iPod Photo Copy. (Windows only)
iPod Photo Liberator. (both Mac and Windows versions available)
Photos as thumbnails won't be of the original quality when copied back to your computer.

Ok...when I am saying your fourth tab I am referring to the tabs that show when you click on your iPod name is the left panel in iTunes...you will see the summary page in the larger screen to the right. IT is the 4th tab within that summary screen. The list for the kind of iPod you have can be found by going to Ipod Family.

  • How to put photos on my ipod nano

How can i put my photos on my new ipod nano? I have the folder on my ipod, but im not sure how to put them onto my ipod.
    Cheers
    Ipod Nano (1gb)   Windows XP

Have a look at the tutorial: Transferring Pictures to Your iPod
Once you've had a look at that here's a tip for managing the photos that go on to your iPod. Create a folder on your hard drive called called "iPod Photos" or something similar and drag the photos you want on your iPod to it.. Under the photo preferences for the iPod, point iTunes to "synchronize photos from" and choose to update from your new folder. If you keep a dedicated folder like this, you won't need to edit your normal pictures folder just for the iPod and you can add and remove picture from it whenever you need to.
