Query : Accessing the java.lang subdirectory

Hi All,
Is there any way we can access the java.lang subdirectory or download it into our computer?
This is so I can write a program and get a list of all the packages where a given classname resides.
Please let me know if you need further details.
Thank you,
Meena.

Is there any way we can access the java.lang
subdirectory or download it into our computer? If you have the JRE installed, then you have it., look for RT.jar, open in <Zip application>, veiw. If you want to source, and have the JDK installed, look at src.zip
This is so I can write a program and get a list of
all the packages where a given classname resides. Why?
If you want to do it by hand, look up the API[1], use search.

Lot of thanks for your help.

Check the weblogic.policy file to make sure that it is giving permissions to the right directories. If you have
installed a Service Pack, make sure that both service pack jar files are at the front of their corresponding
    classpaths...

    Hello,
I am very near to complete my this task but every time i think this i find myself stuck in a new exception. Plz get me out of it.My problem is:
I created a client/server chat applet for providing online support to our company site visitors. Both server and client are applet.I am using serversocket at server side and socket(getCodeBase()) at client side to establish the connection.
The code compiled and run fine, without any exception or error when i run it on a standalone PC (althought PC is in LAN but i used that PC name to connect to itself).
But when i uploaded the applet on my personal site (i don't know any other way to test it:- dont know how to use tomcat even yet.) it is throwing an exception:-

Well this is bound to happen my friend..In general are designed to be more secure & don't have adequate access to System(Fils,Audio,SSL,Native Code,Database.. & etc) resources.
Well need sign the applet inorder to do that.
you may go through the link given below to which provides details about siging an applet.

(An advice)It is not a gud practise of using vunerablities where there is a security restrcition... we might quite often mishandle resources in this case.

I suspected multiple definitions of the SerializationContext.class in my jar files but was wrong: there is only one definition in the axis.jar file. For some reasons this jar file contained SerializationContext.class and SerializationContext.java modules, but I resolved this problem earlier: loadjava does not allow loading the both.
What can be cause of the java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError problem?
What I have to do to make my class work from Oracle JVM?
    Thanks,
    Roman

    Avi,
You right, at the beginning I had problems with jar files compiled using Java 1.5. But I discovered this problem earlier, when tried to test standalone client application. Since then a whole web services tool kit, provided by my company, was recompiled with Java 1.4 and now I have no problem with standalone classes, running under Oracle JDK 1.4 environment. It means that I’m pretty sure that all Java classes that I’m loading to Oracle are compiled with JDK 1.4.
You also right with your second guess: not all Java objects in the user_objects table of the SAMPLE user are VALID. I started from a scratch (again): dropped all Java objects from user schema and followed Kuassi Mensah instructions from the “Virtualize Your Oracle Database with Web Services” (http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/mensah_dws.html): I downloaded and then loaded to my schema the Web Service Call-out Utility jar files using the following command: loadjava -u sample/sample@usr10se -r -v -f -genmissing C:\oracle\ora10_DB\sqlj\lib\dbwsclientws.jar C:\oracle\ora10_DB\sqlj\lib\dbwsclientdb102.jar.
This command loaded about 5000 java objects, but 400+ of them were INVALID and I saw a lot of “ORA-29534: referenced object … could not be resolved” errors.
The tool kit provided by the group in my company only increased number of invalid objects.
What is a strategy in this situation?
Do all the objects have to be VALID?
I can try to resolve the “ORA-29521: referenced name ... could not be found” errors by finding corresponding classes in some jar files and loading these jar files, but it does not guarantee that all ORA-29534 errors will go away. What else can I do to cleanup my java objects?
    Thank you very mach,
    Roman

  • What caused the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (no stack trace available)"?

We just met another problem: after I modified the BDM file on TUXEDO and bdmconfig.xml
file on WEBLOGIC (with no ACL or authentication setup on both side), when I booted
up the WebLogic 6.1 server, the ULOG file of Tuxedo says that the connection has
been set up, however, I got the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (no stack trace available)"
on the WebLogic side. I tried to enlarge the Java heap size even to 1024m, but it
has no use. If I delete the WTC setting then WebLogic works fine.
Could somebody helps me on this? Because we have a very tight schedule on development,
I do appreciate your quick response.

    removed the outofmemory error.
what is bdmconfig.xml file and you specified port#?

    Bob,
Another expert in our company told me that we should use a different
    PORT# (kind
of DUMMY port) in the bdmconfig.xml file on WebLogic side, instead of
    the real WebLogic
instance PORT#. We tried and the OutOfMemoryError disappeared, and the
    WTC connection
works OK. We don't know why should we do this, maybe it is a bug or some
    hardware
    requirement.
Anyway, thank you very much for your help and quick respondse!

    Bill,
Check the logs to see if the out of memory is the only execption orif
it is the last exception. It could be that there is something happening
earlier on that you are missing.
There are also other JVM problems that can arise besides the heap
size. The Hotspot VM had an issue where you needed to set a maximum
permanent generation size( helps garbage collection tuning I think).
(-XX:MaxPermSize=32m for jdk130,64m for jdk131). It comes into
play when you are loading many classes.

the default is to turn ENCODING/DECODING on. Do you see any other

    Bob Finan <[email protected]> wrote:
    Bill,
One possible reason is if MTYPE is set, in the DMCONFIG on the
Tuxedo side, as part of your remote domain definitions of the WTC
domain. This should not be set or set it to NULL. This problem occurs
because encoding/decoding is always needed between java and non-java
    domains.

been set up, however, I got the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError (no
    stack
    trace available)"
on the WebLogic side. I tried to enlarge the Java heap size even
    to
    1024m,
    but it
has no use. If I delete the WTC setting then WebLogic works fine.
Could somebody helps me on this? Because we have a very tight scheduleon development,
I do appreciate your quick response.
    Thanks!
    Bill

  • How is the java.lang.StringBuffer class different from the java.lang.String

How is the java.lang.StringBuffer class different from the java.lang.String class?....

    Read the API.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/lang/String.html
"Strings are constant; their values cannot be changed after they are created. String buffers support mutable strings."
Although when possible you should use StringBuilder instead of StringBuffer.
Always read the API at the very least before asking questions in the forums. Ideally you should do some google searching and poke around for an answer too. Otherwise you will get people barking at you.

  • How to access the *.java file corresponding to a TypeElement T?

    Here is a problem:
How to access the *.java file corresponding to a TypeElement T from a AnnotationProcessor environment?
Let us say the hook method
public boolean process(Set<? extends TypeElement> annos, RoundEnvironment roundEnv)
    is invoked with a TypeElement T such that T.getQualifiedname() = "a.b.c.X"
And the problem is how to locate the file that has the *.java source code for a.b.c.X?
That is the file that has the source code for a.b.c.X say "some/path/a/b/c/X.java"?
For simplicity, let us assume that TypeElement T corresponds to a top-level Java class.

    Pinaki wrote:
That is not something you as the annotation processor author should be asking about. That is something you the person configuring the javac environment should set up via the -d option or its equivalent.
I strongly recommend using a separate output directory hierarchy. That is the way the current implementation is. The annotation processor takes a -Aout= <some directory path> to write generated output relative to a user-specified location (which defaults to the class output location). That is contrary to the design of the annotation processing facility. The intended use is for that information to be configured via options like "javac -d".
Additionally, IMO it is a serious configuration error to put generated files and input files, presumably tracked under version control, in the same directory. Interesting you said that. We are just running some "field trial" with these things and some users want them to be in the same directory of the original *.java files (especially when their source files are spread across many roots) .
Who knows what the user wants? The user does and the user is free to (mis)configure their environment however they like ;-) However, that is the user's option and the user has control of this via the javac command line. The annotation processor is not the proper place to configure this setting; see slide 7 of http://blogs.sun.com/darcy/resource/J1_2006-BOF-0606.pdf for some thoughts on different roles in annotation processing.
presumably tracked under version control, in the same directory.version control is another 'usability issues' that we are trying to get our heads around with this stuff. "To check-in or not?" - that seems to be the question. When presented these facilities without any cue, "the users" were divided -- some wanted them to be checked-in, some did not. The context where these generated files being used -- there exists some rationale to check them in a version control system. The right answer depends on the circumstances, but IMO generally generated files should not be checked in under version control, especially if they are derived from other source files. Checking in generated files of this nature just creates the opportunity for them to get out of date with the originating files.

Thank you, Klaus. Sorry for the delayed response.
Since I could not install scheduler schema from the Administrator page under "Scheduler Configuration" I manually applied. Actually, one of the posts in the forum provided those tables. I created the following tables:
    RTZ_BLOB_TRIGGERS
    QRTZ_LOCKS
    QRTZ_JOB_DETAILS
    QRTZ_PAUSED_TRIGGER_GRPS
    QRTZ_FIRED_TRIGGERS
    SEQUENCE
    QRTZ_JOB_LISTENERS
    XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT
    QRTZ_SCHEDULER_STATE
    XMLP_SCHED_SUBSCRIPTION
    QRTZ_SIMPLE_TRIGGERS
    XMLP_SCHED_JOB
I installed BI Published on my laptop (XP, SP3) and connecting to Oracle 10g, version 10.1.0.2.
    Thanks indavance...
