Query bill of materials - web service

Hello,
When I query the bill of material using the web server QueryProductionBillOfMaterialIn using the FindItemGroupItemChangeStateSimpleByElements operation to retrieve the input products, I get the full list of all input products regardless of the validity date.
Does anyone know if it is possible to query this web service so that you can filter the result based on the reference date as you do when editing a production BoM?
Many thanks,
Paul

    So I know its a permission issue because full control users have no problem.  I have found a suggestion here suggesting making sure the group has "Who can View Membership to the Group" but that didn't work for me - and
    my test user is only a member of one group -

    How can I get around this without provding users Full Control?

    So I fixed this with exactly what I mentioned above by adding "everyone" "Who can View Membership to the Group" permission.  My error initially was that I was looking at the incorrect security group.

  • Connect to Bex query after logging into Web service

    Hello experts,
    After logging into the web service, I see connections for all HANA and BW infoProviders.
    If I click HANA OLAP connection, I see the "next" button. If I click connections to BW InfoProviders, the "Next" button is grayed out, I only have "OK" to click which takes me to the infoProvider.
    I know if I choose "Local System", I can log into BW and find BEx queries.
    Is this by design? Can't we get list of Bex queries under the connection we highlight somehow?
    Thanks.

  • Recursive Query - Bills of Materials

    I have a table that list all Parts that have materials (PartMtl table).  Ex. part 1 has materials 2a, 2b, & 2c.  I tie this table to a PartCost table linked on the materials.  So I get costs for 2a, 2b, & 2c.  This works smooth.  Now when I want to go a level deeper, and get 2a's materials, 3a, & 3b.  things get a little more complicated.  Up until this point, I have simply created aliases for the PartMtl & PartCost tables.
    The problem with this method is I need to build the report with an alias for each table for each level for as many levels as I imagine our materials listings can grow.  This design is shaky at best and does not allow for additional levels.  Is there a way to dynamically create this recursion?
    Thank you,

    You can base the report on an SQL Command something like (MS SQL):
    declare @level int;
    declare @reccnt int;
    declare @reccnt2 int;
    set @level = 1;
    select @level as level,
      pm.parent,
      pm.component,
      pm.qty_required,
      pc.cost
    into #temp
    from PartMtl pm, PartCost pc
    where pm.parent = '{?item to explode}'
    and pm.component = pc.part_id;
    set @reccnt = 0;
    set @reccnt2 = ( select count(*) from #temp );
    /* loop until no more records inserted */
    while @reccnt <> @reccnt2
    begin
      set @level = @level + 1;
      insert into #temp
      select @level as level,
        pm.parent,
        pm.component,
        pm.qty_required,
        pc.cost
      from #temp t, PartMtl pm, PartCost pc
      where t.level = @level - 1
      and t.component = pm.parent
      and pm.component = pc.part_id
      set @reccnt = @reccnt2;
      set @reccnt2 = ( select count(*) from #temp );

    What version of Siebel are you using? There was a bug in some versions when session management was used but it worked okay in other scenarios, e.g., when the user id and password were passed in the URL. This bug (id 12-1KXYCJ7 and 12-1KXYCJ7) has been fixed (more than once by the look of it). I have not noticed the same in 8.1.1.1.

  • Is it possible to access a html based web service from a pdf form?

    I was wondering if it is possible to send a query from livecycle to web service and parse the return data.
    An quick example of what I am thinking is querying a database like wolfram alpha using their html query.
    It is in the format http://api.wolframalpha.com/v2/query?input=pi&appid=XXXX. where "pi" is the query and XXXX is the specific user id
    The website then returns a xml file.
    Is there anyway to send out that html with any query from a text field and process the response?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Naseko is right in using the formcalc get function, and I use this for accessing information from google calendar, you can also call the formcalc get function from JavaScript as described here http://blogs.adobe.com/formfeed/2009/02/calling_formcalc_functions_fro.html.
    The main problem I have is with the yellow message bar message and popup saying do you want to allow access to api.wolframalpha.com (or whatever).  I think you can get around this by certifing the form, but I don't have access to the servre products to do that.
    Anyway, if it helps have a look at https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=vFcW-9OVSm*BdV6GyFfUIg you will need to modify the button click code to specify your own appid but the code is simple enough;
    var response = FormCalc.Function.Get("http://api.wolframalpha.com/v2/query?appid=<<appid>>&input=capital%20of%20australia");
    response = response.replace(/^<\?xml\s+version\s*=\s*(["'])[^\1]+\1[^?]*\?>/, "");
    var responseNode = xfa.datasets.createNode("dataGroup", "response");
    responseNode.loadXML(response, false, false);
    var answer = responseNode.resolveNode("queryresult.pod.(title.value=='Result')").subpod.plaintext.value;
    console.println(answer);
    So this code sends a query "capital of australia" and gets a response "Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia"
    Replace <<appid>> with your appid and look at the linked sample to see how FormCalc.Function.Get works.
    Also, expect Designer to crash a few times while getting it to work.
    Hope this helps,
    Bruce

  • Infopath 2013/REST Web Service - XML Data format

    I've created an Infopath 2013 form and connected it to an existing REST Web Service. The form connects successfully, but I can't get to the nodes that contain the actual data. The REST results look like this:
    <wddxPacket version='1.0'>
    <header/>
    <data>
    <struct>
    <var name='MIDDLENAME'><string>S</string></var>
    <var name='FIRSTNAME'><string>John</string></var>
    <var name='UID'><string>jdoe</string></var>
    <var name='EMAIL'><string>[email protected]</string></var>
    <var name='DEPARTMENT'><string>IT ADMINISTRATION</string></var>
    <var name='TITLE'><string>Director</string></var>
    <var name='LASTNAME'><string>Doe</string></var>
    </struct>
    </data>
    </wddxPacket>
    When I connect to the web service in InfoPath, here is what I see:
    Notice that when we expand the tree, it only shows the "struct" node. How do I get down to the actual data fields?
    Thanks in advance.
    cflbasser

    Hi cflbasser ,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to query data using rest web service in InfoPath 2013.
    For achieving your demand, please refer to the blog:

  • About web service for SAP BW

    SAP可以发布web service,并通过该WS访问R3中的一张表,是否有可能用web service发布一个SAP BW中的一个Cube或Query?谢谢

    就我所知,你可以用web service
    1. upload data 到 BW
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/71/421640033ae569e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    2. 通过HTTP services可以
    ·        Display of metadata for BW objects (see Calling the Metadata Repository as an HTTP-Service)
    ·        Exchanging metadata between various systems (see Exchange of Metadata in XMI Format)
    ·        Display of user-defined online documentation for metadata objects (see Structure linkDocument as Online Documentation)
    The following services are implemented as Web services:
    ·        Open Analysis Interfaces (see Structure linkXML for Analysis)
    ·        Structure linkWeb Service for Access to Query Data
    3. 通过Web Service可以access Query Data
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d8/3bfc3f8fc2c542e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    最后是不是可以通过Web Service发布一个SAP BW中的一个Cube,这个我没有遇到过,也没找到相关文档,估计直接得话多半是不可以。但间接的比如通过open hub Service,或是XI应该也是可以的。
    希望能有帮助。

  • Eclipelink plsql web services multiple operation

    Hi,
    In 11.1.2.2 jdev, I can generate a toplink/eclipse link plsql web services easily for one SQL (dbws).
    Can I change the web services to support multiple operations, each for different select sql?
    I've tried to changed the wsdl file to have multiple operations
    and amend eclipse link-dbws.XML to include multiple query tags.
    The web services can be run with multiple operation wsdl but the response of each operation
    (using Jdev http analyzer) return only the result of the first operaton.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi,
    I think you are asking for multiple select statements processed by a single TopLink DB Service Provider configuration. As far as I know its exactly one per project and service. However, as this feature is coming from EclipseLink you may want to verify it there

  • Need Single Billing Document for Materials and Services in Sales Order

    Hello Friends,
    I am selling FERT items and DIEN items in the Sales Order.
    Document flow as follows:
    Finished goods - Order-Delivery-Billing
    Services - Order-Billing
    In this process 2 seperate billing documents are created
    i.  Delivery Related Billing document for Finished goods.
    ii. Order related Billing document for services.
    I want to create a single billing document for both the items (FG & Services) in the sales order.
    Please suggest.
    Thnx.

    Sorry for the delay friends.
    Somebody suggested me to make services 'relevant for delivery' to ensure single billing document.
    What I did were the following steps:
    1. Copy Item Category TAD to ZTAD and make is 'relevant foir delivery'
    2. Assign Item Category ZTAD to Sales Order type and Item Cat Group 'LEIS'
    3. Go to Deliveries Item Categories and through new Entries add ZTAD. Make ZTAD relevant for Picking.
    4. Go to copy control 'Order to Delivery' and insert ZTAD in Item Categories relevant for this combination.
    Now when I create sales order with materials and services, they pass over to the delivery document and in the Services item, storage location/plant is greyed out. Only the picking quantity is required to be filled.
    PROBLEM :
    I am not getting the price of Services item in the billing document.
    Billing document copies all line items (tangible and intangible) from Delivery Document
    It takes the services item details/quantities etc. to VF01 but the price comes '00.00'
    Any suggestions.
    Is this legally viable? Someone told me its not legally correct.
    Thanks.

  • SOAP web service: query parameter?

    Hi guys,
    I'm a newbie when it comes to web services and I've hit a problem that I didn't expect. I've exposed several SOAP services using the JAX-WS and WebLogic which are working fine. I've tried implementing an access key security mechanism such as Amazon does by adding a filter in front of the service's handling servlet to check for an access key sent as an HTTP query parameter. So basically, the service that was exposed at the following URL:
    http://localhost/company/service
    must now be accessed using the following URL:
    http://localhost/company/service?accessKey=123
    The filter checks the accessKey parameter and short-circuits the request if the wrong access key is sent.
    While this approach works well with JAX-RS web services, it doesn't seem to be working as well with JAX-WS web services: adding the parameter makes WebLogic return a 404 error instead of processing the request. I'm convinced I've seen web services being called with query parameters and that this can be done, but I don't see how. Any ideas anyone?
    Cheers!

    It seems that the servlet generated by Workshop doesn't handle extra parameters too well. I've managed to get it working by tweaking the filter so that it lets WSDL retrieval requests pass through but still filters the other requests. Everything is working fine.

  • How can I create a query with web service data control?

    I need to create a query with web service data control, in WSDL, it's query operation, there is a parameter message with the possible query criteria and a return message contains the results. I googled, but cannot find anything on the query with web service. I cannot find a "Named Criteria" in web service data control like normal data control. In Shay's blog, I saw the topics on update with web service data control. How can I create a query with web service data control? Thanks.

  • Excel Function to query BW using Web Services API

    Hello,
    I need to write an Excel function as an .XLA that will do the following:
    It will be invoked like any other Excel function. E.g. =GetCost(param p1, param p2)
    This function queries an InfoCube and must return a single numerical value for the Cell in Excel that the function is used in.
    I have never done anything like this before. I have done a decent amount of reading to discover the best way to attack this. It seems like the best way to create this functionality is to:
    1. create a web service in a BW function group with a function module that is RFC enabled.
    2. I'm thinking the function module will use native SQL to query the InfoCube and pull the value and then somehow pass this value to a web service.
    3. The value in the web service will be accessed through it's API in Excel/VBA.
    I am not sure if this is best way to do this, or if it is even possible to do it this way. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I am heading down the right path and possibly direct me to a tutorial or other information that would aid in accomplishing this. I have yet to find some type of proof of concept from beginning to end on how to do something like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    These are the documents I have found insightful so far:
