Query chart shape vertical parabola!

Hi,
i have a query result which has for a particular date, deliveries on time ,early,late, too early and too late  in five different coumns!
for a single date entry in the selection screen i could show all these columns in a graphical form with deliveries on time right in the middle (with ealy and late deliveries on either side)
now the need of the hour is the date range in the selection screen and the result the same as i had mentioned!
when i give date range in the selection screen the result shape is lost because of the amount of data!
is there any work around for this?
Raj

Thanks, I have logged bug #7022690. In the short term, a workaround is if you create the chart as a Horizontal not Vertical, the values read clearly. (For the example given)

  • Org Chart Shapes are no longer recognized as org chart shapes by Visio 2013

    I created an org chart in Visio 2013 by importing data from Excel.  It generated the org chart properly.  I then began cleaning up (i.e. Best Fit to Page, changing layouts on pages, changing size & spacing) as need to be visually more
    appealing.  After cleaning up many pages, Visio no longer recognized the shapes on the page as org chart shapes.  This now causes the 'Best Fit to Page' feature to display a msg stating "Add organization chart shapes to your drawing, and
    try again."  It also causes the 'position' (employee) shapes under a 'manager' shape to no longer move with the manager shape when the manager is repositioned.  This is now true for all shapes on all pages in my org chart.  Can the
    shapes be fixed to go back to being recognized as org chart shapes?

    Hi,
    If you want to show the pictures in the Organization chart, we need to add the photo the display
    fields. Please try to do the following steps:
    Create a new Organization chart> Organization Chart Wizard choose information that's already stored in a file or database> Choose A microsft Exchange Server directory> Select Photo and add to display fields> Choose the information which you want
    to show> I want to specify how much of my Organization to display on each page > Choose the team

  • Query chart design: Help on design

    Hi,
    i have a query which has every information regarding sales and deliveries !
    Now i need to design a chart where in it can show the chart as columns for the sales documents delivered whether early, late or on time!
    I do have promised date as a char used in the selection in the query.
    i aslo need to differentiate the deliveries ( of how early or how late)
    range clusters  to deferentiate the results
    in other words, -5 to +2 is one range          ( on time range )
                           -8 to + 5 is one range
                           -11 to + 9 is one range like that
    Can any body help me of how can i build query chart ?
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hello VC,
        Thanks for your reply, and now the problem is in almost finished state, but im facing another problem.
          As you explained 100 Contract Account are selected based on the specific creteria.if i put the variable of defination (Count(1)) in column, instead of showing 100 in result it is showing more than that.
          And Here in my Cube Contract Account is a Dimension (you might be knowing, just mention for the sake of info).
          And my report looks like
    Contract Account(row) | Formula (Count(1)) (Col)| Contract Account selection creteria1 (Col) | Contract Account selection creteria2 (Col)|..............
    Hope this will give you clear picture. if no let me know.
    Thanks a lot,

  • Create Pie Chart and Vertical bar chart using report builder 3.0 with sharepoint custom list

    Hi All,
    I have a client requirement to create reports which should show the graphical representation of SharePoint Custom List data. The reports are Month wise and YTD. Also i have to create dashboard.
    For creating reports, i have heard about Report Builder and SSRS. I have SQL server 2008r2 and installed report builder 3.0 but i am not aware of creating reports(KPI, Pie Chart, Vertical bar, etc.,) with sharepoint customlist.
    Can some one please help me on this.

  • Help with Xcelsius Beginner - BW Query Chart

    Hi,
         I downloaded Xcelcius Trial and would like to connect a simple chart to a BW Query via Web Service.  I have a Web Service Connection for GetQueryViewData, but don't see how to connect to the Simple Chart.
    Also, don't know how to use it but I see that the SAP Menu is disabled.  Do I need this SAP Menu or can I just use the Web Service Call to a Query.
    Here's what I see
    http://i27.tinypic.com/ipqs5g.png
    I am on Xcelsius 5.3.0.0 Build 12,3,0,670
    BW 7.0 SP20

    I'm not sure about the trial license, but you should be able to add a BW connection with your Data Manager.  Once you add the query and map it to the component, you need to publish it to the SAP environment.  From the SAP environment you will be able to view your dashboard.  Note that any dashboard using the BW connector will not allow you to run Preview in the traditional sense; you can only see your data in SAP portal.

  • Line chart and vertical line repeats according period

    Hej,
    I have line chart and horizontal axis displays many months, thus is possible to vertical line from horizontal axis be displayed after years period and be color diferent?? My example, start displays January 2007,......finish December2007->DISPLAY VERTICAL LINE as LONG TICK, start January2008....and so on... is possible to set such repeater for line chart...thank for response.

    Hi 1234alex,
    According to your description, you want to create a non-vertical target line in top of bar chart to show different target.
    In Reporting Services, it’s impossible to create a non-vertical target line in top of bar chart. Because StripLines can only return a vertical target line even we put expression to make it dynamically . In this scenario, we can show the target line as values
    and use switch() function to specify different values based on different category. Then we just need to change the chart type for that series only. However, it only support horizontal line chart type in Reporting Services, so we suggest you use column chart
    instead of bar chart. Please refer to detail steps below:
    1. On Chart Data region, set an expression looks like:
         =switch(Fields!month.value=”A”,”4”,
         Fields!month.value=”B”,”8”,
         Fields!month.value=”C”,”2”,
         Fields!month.value=”D”,”5”)
    2. Right click expression in Chart Data region, choose Change Chart type, select a line chart.
    3. Click Preview, the results look like:
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • How to Align Query output in vertical grids in Classic Reports

    HI all,
    I have a requirement to display query output in a vertical grid.

    1. SQL 2. PL/SQL 3. Forms
    4. Reports 5. XMLP 6. APEX

    We want a break after three columns.Create a custom named column template and base the tabular form report on this: {message:id=10399762}
    Please read the FAQ and forum sticky threads (if you haven't done so already), and update your forum profile with a real handle instead of "866010".
    When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.

  • Help with a Gantt chart view (Project Tasks) - Tasks and chart misaligned vertically

    I have created a Gantt chart for a task list and on some computers (all on I.E. 9), the chart is misaligned with the table on the left.  The "row height" of the bars on the chart is less than the height of the rows in the table, so about 10-15
    tasks down the lists things become very misaligned, and by the bottom of the page, the table goes 2-3 complete rows past the bottom of the chart.  How can I correct this?
    On a similar note, is there a way to color code the bars or anything to make it easier to associate them with a task/assigned to/etc?

    This is a rendering error on IE, try changing your zoom level on the browser.

  • Chart with vertical Y-axis title having horizontal letters?

    I've edited the XML on the Chart Attributes page but I don't find atrtributes to rotate the y-axis title (<text>TITLE</text>) nor the letters themselves in the title. What I'd like is something very close to
    T
    I
    T
    L
    E
    But what I get is a horizontal title rotated -90 degrees. I've looked at lots of Anychart documentation but don't find anything that seems to fit with the XML already given on the Chart Attributes page. I've seen the "rotate" attribute but I don't know where it would go and even then, I'm sure it only rotates the title as a unit and not the individual letters.

    That makes sense. So I thought maybe this following script

    if (_x < -1550) _x=0;

  • Vertical text in charts appears upside-down in Acrobat pdf

    When I copy a chart with vertical text from Tableau into Word and then Save as Adobe PDF, the vertical text appears upside-down.
    When I copy a chart with vertical text from Tableau into Word and then Save as PDF using Word's built in PDF creator, the vertical text appears correctly.
    This bug occurs in both Adobe Acrobat 11 and Acrobat Pro DC. Can Adobe fix this bug?

    Never mind. I solved the problem myself. It turns out I needed to embed the font I used in the text boxes. Once I did that, everything shows up fine.

  • Need to chart attribute value of just one child node of XML document

    I have a XML document with (for example) 7 parent nodes, each
    parent node has 5 child nodes. The parent nodes have an attribute
    @EarlierDTS (DateTime type) that is the x-axis category of a chart.
    Each child node has an attribute @eventid which specifies the id of
    the event, and another atttribute @NumOccurs which specifies how
    many times that event occured in that period.
    How do I tell Flex I want a simple line chart of the eventID
    = 215? What if I want two lines, for both eventID=215 and
    eventid=307?
    I have studied the posts and blogs for over a week now, and
    have seen this question or similar come up quite a few places, with
    no answer.
    1) Should I focus on learning how to create a filterfunction
    for the XMLList that underlies my XMLListCollection so that the
    filtered data view is just one child node per parent node ( or two
    child nodes for the second case)? And set the filtered data view as
    the dataprovider of my chart's vertical series?
    2) Should I focus on learning how to create a XML Filter
    query that selects just one or two child nodes for each parent
    node, and set the charts' series' dataprovider to this filter
    expression? (I don't think this is allowed - but I'm checking with
    the forum members...)
    3) Should I focus on learning how to convert the
    XMLListCollection into a HierarchicalData object, and then learning
    how to filter this object so there is only one (or two) childs per
    parent? This seems like a lot of coding - I almost have to create a
    pair of classes - one for the parent and one for the child - so I
    can create nested ArrayObjects.
    4) Should I create a brand new XMLList by walking the
    original XML list, and inserting Parent nodes and just the child
    nodes that match the eventID(s) I want to chart, into the new
    XMLList?
    I believe that the easiest way would be to create a
    Filterfunction for the XMLList, and bind the chart series to the
    (filtered) XML List. But the problem with this approach is that I
    have seen more than 2 posts asking how to accomplish filtering that
    removes specific children from the view, with no solutions posted.
    Help! What is the best way to get just one child for each
    parent, from an XMLList?

  • In OBIEE charts, how do you make drill downs work on custom formulas?

    I posted this over on Linked In and didn't get an anser, so I'm hoping someone here has an answer.
    I'm writing a summary query / chart for a dashboard in OBIEE 10.1 with a drill down (technically it's a "navigation") for more information. This chart breaks down the data by fiscal quarter and by geography (both are columns in the subject area) and I can get this drill down to work just fine. But I also have this chart broken down by some custom calculated fields (CASE WHEN statements) that classify revenue into Forecast / At Risk / Upside etc. (which are not columns or values of columns within the subject area).
    When I add a drill down or navigate function onto those calculated columns, I'm getting a full data set ... not a filtered data set for that particular calculated field. (Yes, I have all of the IS PROMPTED filters set up correctly, and yes the formulas in the source and destination queries are identical).
    Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the drill down or navigation work on custom formulas?
    Thanks
    Ted

  • Display 'No data found message' instead of blank chart

    Apex 4.1
    I have a highchart for which data is rendered dynamically based on pl/sql process.
    I load data into an item and then into chart like data[&item.]
    When no data is found with dynamic query chart shown is blank.
    Can i display a message like no data found or anything else can be done?

    hi
    you can create two region with conditions:
    1. Chart region (display if your qurey return values)
    2. Html region with static "Nothing to display" (display if your query no data found)

  • Horizontal Cluster bar chart

    I am tasked by my PHB to produce a horizontally-stacked bar chart, the horizontal axis is for simple numbers of events, the bars are types of events. It should also have a negative 'reflection' (see drawing below) There is no Z axis. I have successfully generated this as a vertical stacked bar chart (very simple) and I think a simple rotate 90 degrees right would do it, but I can't find one.
    It should look like this, ignoring the dashes:
    ######## ######## Event 1, Value 8
    ----###### ###### Event 2, Value 6, etc
    Any ideas or workarounds welcome!

    EDIT Post to refer to a horizontal cluster bar chart which is what I really want
    Edited by: mansfields on Dec 3, 2008 2:44 PM

    The horizontal equivalent of the vertical stacked bar would be a horizontal stacked bar, which is there on the menu for me to see. As said in my previous post 'what I am after is the horizontal equivalent of the vertical cluster bar'
    To repeat what my requirement is, I have a group of sales people who have five measures each against them, and I can already graph them thus:
    6 5 4 3 3
    but I want to graph them this way, like 90 degrees rotated to the right:
    6 ######
    5 #####
    4 ####
    3 ###
    3 ###
    I think this would be called a horizontal cluster chart, and there is no option on the list that is called that.
    Hope this makes it clearer, and thank you very much for your time and effort so far.

    EDIT
    From the online books section - "you can only display clustered bar charts in vertical format". That sorts that out then.

  • Generate XML based on MySQL Query

    Hello guys,
    I need to create a XML file like this one(same structure) but based on MySQL query:
    <chart>
       <chart_type>pie</chart_type>
       <chart_data>
          <row>
             <null/>
             <string>2007</string>
             <string>2008</string>
             <string>2009</string>
          </row>
          <row>
             <string>Region A</string>
             <number>10</number>
             <number>30</number>
             <number>63</number>
          </row>
       </chart_data>
    </chart>
    I found a couple of good articles but I do not know how to get the same structure, I tried this:
    <?php
    header("Content-type: text/xml");
    $host = "localhost";
    $user = "test";
    $pass = "test";
    $database = "test";
    $enlace = mysql_connect($host, $user, $pass) or die("Error MySQL.");
    mysql_select_db($database, $enlace) or die("Error base de datos.");
    $query = "SELECT AGENTE, count(*) FROM clientes group by agente";
    $resultado = mysql_query($query, $enlace) or die("Sin resultados.");
    $salida_xml = "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "<chart>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "<chart_type>" . 'pie' . "</chart_type>\n";
        $salida_xml .= "<chart_data>\n";
        for($x = 0 ; $x < mysql_num_rows($resultado) ; $x++){
            $fila = mysql_fetch_assoc($resultado);
            $salida_xml .= "\t<row>\n";
            $salida_xml .= "\t\t<agente>" . $fila['AGENTE'] . "</agente>\n";
            $salida_xml .= "\t\t<cantidad>" . $fila['count(*)'] . "</cantidad>\n";
                // Corregiendo caracteres incorrectos
                $fila['texto'] = str_replace("&", "&amp;", $fila['texto']);
                $fila['texto'] = str_replace("<", "&lt;", $fila['texto']);
                $fila['texto'] = str_replace(">", "&gt;", $fila['texto']);
               // $salida_xml .= "\t\t<texto>" . $fila['texto'] . "</texto>\n";
            $salida_xml .= "\t</row>\n";
        }//segundo for
        $salida_xml .= "</chart_data>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "</chart>";
    echo $salida_xml;
    but I'm not getting the same structure, I am getting this:
    <chart>
    <chart_type>pie</chart_type>

    <chart_data>
    <row>
        </row>

    <row>
    <agente>Danilo</agente>
    <cantidad>8</cantidad>
    </row>
    <row>
        </row>

    <row>
    <agente>Evelyn</agente>
    <cantidad>5</cantidad>
    </row>
    <row>
        </row>

    <row>
    <agente>Maribel</agente>
    <cantidad>2</cantidad>
    </row>
    <row>
        </row>

    <row>
    <agente>Nestor</agente>
    <cantidad>11</cantidad>
    </row>
    <row>
        </row>

    <row>
    <agente>Noemy</agente>
    <cantidad>2</cantidad>
    </row>
    </chart_data>
    </chart>
    Can someone give me a hand plase?
    Thanks in advance

    Doing some extra research I almost get to the result that I need, I guess I am jus
    t having an small problem.
    Basically I need this
    [PHP]
    <chart>
       <chart_type>pie</chart_type>
       <chart_data>
          <row>
             <null/>
             <string>2007</string>
             <string>2008</string>
             <string>2009</string>
          </row>
          <row>
             <string>Region A</string>
             <number>10</number>
             <number>30</number>
             <number>63</number>
          </row>
       </chart_data>
    </chart>
    [/PHP]
    Currently I have this:
    [PHP]
    <chart>
        <chart_type>pie</chart_type>
        <chart_data>
            <row>
                <null></null>
                <agente>Danilo</agente>
                <agente>Evelyn</agente>
                <agente>Maribel</agente>
                <agente>Nestor</agente>
                <agente>Noemy</agente>
            </row>
            <row>
                <rutas>rutas</rutas>
                <cantidad></cantidad>
                <cantidad></cantidad>
                <cantidad></cantidad>
                <cantidad></cantidad>
                <cantidad></cantidad>
            </row>
        </chart_data>
    </chart>
    [/PHP]
    And I am using this code
    [PHP]<?php
    header("Content-type: text/xml");
    $host = "xxx";
    $user = "xxxx";
    $pass = "xxxx";
    $database = "xxxx";
    $enlace = mysql_connect($host, $user, $pass) or die("Error MySQL.");
    mysql_select_db($database, $enlace) or die("Error base de datos.");
    $query = "SELECT AGENTE, count(*) FROM clientes WHERE PREVENTA LIKE 'Viernes' group by agente";
    $resultado = mysql_query($query, $enlace) or die("Sin resultados.");
    $salida_xml = "<?xml version=\"1.0\"?>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "<chart>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "\t<chart_type>" . 'pie' . "</chart_type>\n\n";
    $salida_xml .= "\t<chart_data>\n";
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t<row>\n";
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t\t<null>" . $fila5['NULL']. "</null>\n";
                for($y = 0 ; $y < mysql_num_rows($resultado) ; $y++){
                    $fila2 = mysql_fetch_assoc($resultado);
                    $salida_xml .= "\t\t\t<agente>" . $fila2['AGENTE'] . "</agente>\n";
                    }//cierro for Y
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t</row>\n";
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t<row>\n";
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t\t<rutas>" . 'rutas'. "</rutas>\n";
                for($z = 0 ; $z < mysql_num_rows($resultado) ; $z++){
                    $valor = mysql_fetch_assoc($resultado);
                    $salida_xml .= "\t\t\t<cantidad>" . $valor['count(*)'] . "</cantidad>\n";
                }//cierro for z
                $salida_xml .= "\t\t</row>\n";
        $salida_xml .= "\t</chart_data>\n";
    $salida_xml .= "</chart>";
    echo $salida_xml;
    ?>[/PHP]
    The issue I am having is that it is not showing the quantity, in this case "cantidad", does someone know why?
