Query for 1:N mapping

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where first I create a single file form IDoc and then this single file has to copied to 10 different folders on the same server. There is no change in data, I just have to copy the source file. I have issues with the second phase.
The requirement is:
1) The target directories are different with country code as part of path "/server1/appl1/<country code>"
2) the final target filename also contains the country code i.e. materialmaster_<country code>_<current year>.txt
The challenges are :
1) I don't have country code and year as part of my target structure, so can't use variable substitution
2) Since the source file doesnot have the country code I cannot use ASMA in sender and receiver channel.
3) My server is PI 7.1 so I tried to use Integrated configuration, but I cannot add multiple interfaces in reciever.
The simplest way out I know is to create 10 files with country code as part of filename in the 1st phase. In 2nd phase have 10 different sender channels and 10 reciever channels and use ASMA in both.
Is there any other way by which we can achieve this.Please suggest.
Thanks,
Pragati

Hi Pragati,
  Can be done using multi mapping or split mapping -
1) In message mapping change the occurence of target structure to recieve multiple messages.
2) Define a global array or a hashMap and populete the array with 10 country codes.
3) Write an UDF to get the values of the Array (In your case 10 times).
4) Call this UDF in top root node of your message mapping.
5) With above stpes you will create 10 messages at receiver end.
6) Now since you have the values of country code in each receiver message, try to do variable substituion (Not sure about this)

  • JDOQL querying for Map entry

    Hello,
    Here's some setup:
    /* This object contains a Map that ties a
    * Company (key) to a String ID (value).
    public class MyObject {
    private Map company2id = new HashMap();
    Example Data:
    MyObject1 map:
    Key[Company1], Value["ID1"]
    Key[Company2], Value["ID2"]
    MyObject2 map:
    Key[Company1], Value["ID2"]
    Key[Company2], Value["ID1"]
    Now I want to query for the MyObject instance that has an entry in that
    map
    with a key of Company1 and a value of "ID1". How do I do that?
    I can't query for a map that has a key of Company1 and a value of "ID1"
    because that would return both MyObject instances. Instead, I have to
    query
    for the entry that has those values as both key and value. I hope that
    sentence made sense.
    So this doesn't work: "company2id.containsKey(myCompany) &&
    company2id.containsValue(myId)"
    What I need is something like:
    "company2id.containsEntry(myCompany, myId)" or
    "company2id.containsKey(myCompany) && entry.value == myId"
    What would you recommend I do? Is there a custom extension I can use?
    Use
    SQL?
    It seems like this might be a common need.
    thanks,
    dave

    What would you recommend I do? Is there a custom extension I can use?
    Use
    SQL?
    It seems like this might be a common need.You can use a pure SQL query, SQL embedded in the JDOQL query (with our
    ext:sql extension in 3.2b2, or ext:sqlVal/ext:sqlExp for 3.1.x), or
    write your own JDOQL extension that emits the right SQL. Our reference
    guide has a section on query extensions you'll want to check out.
    I agree, though, that it's a fairly common need, and we'd like to
    include a standard Map.get() extension in the future (it may even become
    a standard supported method in JDO 2).

  • How to use the same POWL query for multiple users

    Hello,
    I have defined a POWL query which executes properly. But if I map the same POWL query to 2 portal users and the 2 portal users try to access the same page simultaneously then it gives an error message to one of the users that
    "Query 'ABC' is already open in another session."
    where 'ABC' is the query name.
    Can you please tell me how to use the same POWL query for multiple users ?
    A fast reply would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Batch processing usually involves using actions you have recorded.  In Action you can insert Path that can be used during processing documents.  Path have some size so you may want to only process document that have the same size.  Look in the Actions Palette fly-out menu for insert path.  It inserts|records the current document work path into the action being worked on and when the action is played it inserts the path into the document as the current work path..

  • Question/issue regarding querying for uncommited objects in Toplink...

    Hi, was hoping to get some insight into this problem we are encoutering…
    We have this scenario were we are creating a folder hierarchy (using Toplink)
    1. a parent folder is created
    2. child elements are created (in the same transaction as step 1),
    3. we need to lookup the parent folder and assign it as the parent
    of these child elements
    4. end the transaction and commit all data
    In our system we control access to objects by appending a filter to the selection criteria, so we end up with SQL like this example
    (The t2 stuff is the authorization lookup part of the query.) ;
    SELECT t0.ID, t0.CLASS_NAME, t0.DESCRIPTION, t0.EDITABLE,
    t0.DATE_MODIFIED, t0.DATE_CREATED,
    t0.MODIFIED_BY, t0.ACL_ID, t0.NAME, t0.CREATED_BY,
    t0.TYPE_ID, t0.WKSP_ID, t1.ID, t1.LINK_SRC_PATH,
    t1.ABSOLUTE_PATH, t1.MIME_TYPE, t1.FSIZE,
    t1.CONTENT_PATH, t1.PARENT_ID
    FROM XDOOBJECT t0, ALL_OBJECT_PRIVILEGES t2,
    ARCHIVEOBJECT t1
    WHERE ((((t1.ABSOLUTE_PATH = '/favorites/twatson2')
    AND ((t1.ID = t2.xdoobject_id)
    AND ((t2.user_id = 'twatson2')
    AND (bitand(t2.privilege, 2) = 2))))
    AND (t1.ID = t0.ID))
    AND (t0.CLASS_NAME = 'oracle.xdo.server.repository.model.Archivable'))
    When creating new objects we also create the authorization lookup record (which is inserted into a different table.) I can see all the objects are registered in the UOW identity map.
    Basically, the issue is that this scenario all occurs in a single transaction and when querying for the newly created parent folder, if the authorization filter is appended to the query, the parent is not found. If I remove the authorization filter then the parent is found correctly. Or if I break this up into separate transactions and commit after each insert, then the parent is found correctly.
    I use the conformResultsInUnitOfWork attribute on the queries.
    This is related to an earlier thread I have in this discussion forum;
    Nested UnitOfWork and reading newly created objects...
    Thanks for any help you can provide,
    -Tim

    Hi Doug, we add the authorization filter directly in the application code as the query is getting set up.
    Here are some code examples; 1) the first is the code to create new object in the system, followed by 2) the code to create a new authorization lookup record (which also uses the first code to do the actual Toplink insert), then 3) an example of a read query where the authorization filter is appended to the Expression and after that 4) several helper methods.
    I hope this is of some use as it's difficult to show the complete flow in a simple example.
    1)
    // create new object example
    public Object DataAccess.createObject(....
    Object result = null;
    boolean inTx = true;

    uow.assignSequenceNumbers();
    if (oclone instanceof BaseObject)
    BaseObject boclone = (BaseObject)oclone;
    Date now = new Date();
    boclone.setCreated(now);
    boclone.setModified(now);
    boclone.setModifiedBy(sc.getUserId());
    boclone.setCreatedBy(sc.getUserId());
    uow.printRegisteredObjects();
    uow.validateObjectSpace();
    if (inTx == false) uow.commit();
    //just temp, see above
    if (true == authorizer.requiresCheck(oclone))
    authorizer.grantPrivilege(oclone);
    result = oclone;
    2)
    // Authorizer.grantPrivilege method

  • Relational queries through JDBC with the help of Kodo's metadata for O/R mapping

    Due to JDOQL's limitations (inability to express joins, when relationships
    are not modeled as object references), I find myself needing to drop down to
    expressing some queries in SQL through JDBC. However, I still want my Java
    code to remain independent of the O/R mapping. I would like to be able to
    formulate the SQL without hardcoding any knowledge of the relational table
    and column names, by using Kodo's metadata. After poking around the Kodo
    Javadocs, it appears as though the relevant calls are as follows:
    ClassMetaData cmd = ClassMetaData.getInstance(MyPCObject.class, pm);
    FieldMetaData fmd = cmd.getDeclaredField( "myField" );
    PersistenceManagerFactory pmf = pm.getPersistenceManagerFactory();
    JDBCConfiguration conf = (JDBCConfiguration)
    ((EEPersistenceManagerFactory)pmf).getConfiguration();
    ClassResolver resolver = pm.getClassResolver(MyPCObject.class);
    Connector connector = new PersistenceManagerConnector(
    (PersistenceManagerImpl) pm );
    DBDictionary dict = conf.getDictionary( connector );
    FieldMapping fm = ClassMapping.getFieldMapping(fmd, conf, resolver, dict);
    Column[] cols = fm.getDataColumns();
    Does that look about right?
    Here's what I'm trying to do:
    class Foo
    String name; // application identity
    String bar; // foreign key to Bar
    class Bar
    String name; // application identity
    int weight;
    Let's say I want to query for all Foo instances for which its bar.weight >
    100. Clearly this is trivial to do in JDOQL, if Foo.bar is an object
    reference to Bar. But there are frequently good reasons for modeling
    relationships as above, for example when Foo and Bar are DTOs exposed by the
    remote interface of an EJB. (Yeah, yeah, I'm lazy, using my
    PersistenceCapable classes as both the DAOs and the DTOs.) But I still want
    to do queries that navigate the relationship; it would be nice to do it in
    JDOQL directly. I will also want to do other weird-ass queries that would
    definitely only be expressible in SQL. Hence, I'll need Kodo's O/R mapping
    metadata.
    Is there anything terribly flawed with this logic?
    Ben

    I have a one point before I get to this:
    There is nothing wrong with using PC instances as both DAO and DTO
    objects. In fact, I strongly recommend this for most J2EE/JDO design.
    However, there should be no need to expose the foreign key values... use
    application identity to quickly reconstitute an object id (which can in
    turn find the persistent version), or like the j2ee tutorial, store the
    object id in some form (Object or String) and use that to re-find the
    matching persistent instance at the EJB tier.
    Otherwise, there is a much easier way of finding ClassMapping instances
    and in turn FieldMapping instances (see ClassMapping.getInstance () in
    the JavaDocs).

  • Query Many to Many Mapping

    Thanks for looking at my question.
    How do I write a query to find values in a many to many relationship?
    My tables are normalized similarly to this:

    How can i write a query for 'Jane Smith' that would return all of the projects ('Java Developer', 'Magazine') he is working on? Or, vise versa a query for a project that would return all of the employees mapped to it by the relationship table?

    Thanks for the reply. I think it is a little beyond me. I am four weeks into a beginning Data modeling class. I will definitely come back and look at it again later.

  • Return Code - Query for Multiple Rows as XML

    Hi,
    I'm executing an MSSQL stored procedure through the "Query for Multiple Rows as XML" activity in LiveCycle ES. I do this through a call statement such as this:
    { call MyStoredProc(?) }
    This works great, the stored procedure always returns a record set (with or without records). I use this activity rather than "Call Stored Procedure" because I can transform the record set into XML right away within this activity. Unfortunately any exception arising from invoking this stored procedure cannot be handled within the workflow as this activity does not have an exception handler (lightning bolt). In an attempt to handle at least some exceptions we have decided to use try/catches within the stored procedures and return different error codes. Now the problem I am faced with is that there is no way to retrieve the returned code within any of the SQL activities. We don't want to have to write an execute script for each of these SQL calls. Is there any way to do this? Seems like I'm 95% there.
    Thanks
    Nic

    Thanks for the offer, unfortunately we would need something certified by Adobe.

  • Query for Sales Order Analysis

    Dear Experts
    I have written a Query for Sales Order Analysis and would like to have help on this.
    The query is used for generating daily report for Sales Order on number of documents (Sales Order), total amount of sales orders and total GP of Sales Order. The query is written as below:
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0] GROUP BY T0.[DocNum] ORDER BY T0.[DocNum]
    where U_Total_GP is a UDF for storing the GP of each order.
    After executing the query, a selection criteria of date appears and after a date is selected, the report shown information required. However, the query does not calculate column total for total amount and total GP. Although I know the total for each column can be displayed by pressing "Ctrl" + Click on the column title, it would have to be done from time to time.
    Therefore, I would like to modify my query in order to calculate the column totals when executed. Are there any suggestions for this?
    Thank you
    Regards
    Elton

    Hi Elton,
    Try this:
    SELECT T0.[DocNum], SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0] GROUP BY T0.[DocNum]
    Union ALL
    SELECT '', SUM(T0.DocTotal) AS 'Total', SUM(T0.U_Total_GP) AS 'Total GP'
    FROM ORDR T0 WHERE T0.[DocDate] =[%0]
    ORDER BY T0.[DocNum]
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Problem with query for Oracle

    Hello Experts,
    I'm tryng to develop my first application for EP (v7 SP12) with NWDS (without NWDI).
    This application has to read and write data in the EP DB (oracle v10).
    I'm using:
    <u>a Dictionary Project</u> (define the DB Tables)
    <u>a Java Project</u> (define class as DAO, DBManager etc)
    <u>a Library Project</u>
    <u>an EJB Project</u>
    <u>an EAR Project</u>
    With these projects I can deploy a <u>webService</u> in my EP server.
    BUT I have some problem with a query that I'm tryng to sent to my DB through a DAO Class called by my WebService.
    The query is simple and correct but it does not work...
    This is the error message returned (the query id in bold)
    (column names: GIORNO, NOMEDITTA, NOMEAREA, NOMESETTORE)
    <i>HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
    Connection: close
    Server: SAP J2EE Engine/7.00

    The variable '?' is the today date, the difference <b>"(?-GIORNO)"</b> is an int..
    Moreover in my DAO class the query is <b>"SELECT NOMESETTORE, MIN(? - GIORNO) AS GIORNI FROM SRS_DATEINFORTUNI WHERE NOMEDITTA = ? AND NOMEAREA= ? GROUP BY NOMESETTORE ORDER BY NOMESETTORE</b>", instead in the error message is reported <b>MIN(? - "GIORNO")</b>...
    We have tryed also with alternative query, for example we used <b>"MIN(SYSDATA - GIORNO)"</b> but <b>SYSDATA</b> was interpreted as column name and  not found....
    Any help???
    Best Regards

    Hi, I found something about the Host Variable (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/ed/dbf8b7823b084f80a6eb7ad43bdbb9/content.htm), there explain that if you want to use an host variable you have to put ':' as prefix..
    My problem is that <u>I need to extract the minimum of the subtraction between two dates:</u>
    Query <b>MIN(? - GIORNO)</b> --> <i>Error: the arithmetic expression >>? - "GIORNO"<< contains a host variable (parameter marker)</i>
    So I tried to use the ':' as indicated in the manual..
    <b>MIN:(? - GIORNO)</b> --> - <i>SQL syntax error: the token ":" was not expected here
                   - expecting LPAREN, found ':'</i>
    <b>MIN(:(? - GIORNO))</b> --> <i>- 1:25 - Open SQL syntax error: :PARAMETER not allowed
                   - 1:26 - SQL syntax error: the token "(" was not expected here
                   - 1:26 - expecting ID, found '('</i>
    Then I tried to avoid the MIN() function and I tried to do just the subtraction:
    <b>? - GIORNO</b> --><i> - 1:21 - the arithmetic expression >>? - "GIORNO"<< contains a host variable (parameter marker)</i>
    <b>:(? - GIORNO)</b> --> <i>- 1:21 - Open SQL syntax error: :PARAMETER not allowed
                - 1:22 - SQL syntax error: the token "(" was not expected here
                - 1:22 - expecting ID, found '('</i>
    <b>'2007-09-24' - GIORNO</b> --> <i>- 1:34 - SQL syntax error: first argument of operator "-" must be a number, date/time or interval
                     - 1:43 - SQL syntax error: arguments of operator "-" do not have correct types
                     - 1:43 - SQL syntax error: derived columns in SELECT list with AS must be values</i>
    <b>GIORNO - GIORNO</b> --> <i>- 1:21 - the group by list and the select list are inconsistent: the column >>"GIORNO"<< is neither grouped nor aggregated
                  - 1:30 - the group by list and the select list are inconsistent: the column >>"GIORNO"<< is neither grouped nor aggregated</i>
    Why these parts of query are not accepted???
    I don't understand why... I hope you can help me.
    Best Regards
    Alessandro

    I have made a query for List of TDS Report with Vendor informations as required by my client. In which the value of TDS on Vendor Advance Payment appears as positive value instaead of negative value. Please suggest how to rectify.

    Dear,
    If you have cleared the advance in F-54, then this will reverse the tax amount. That could be the reason for tax amount in debit.
