QUery in SPRO PO?

hii
In SPRO, under PO, what is the purpose of below things ..
1.Define Reasons for Ordering
2.Define Reasons for Cancellation
3.Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts
4.Set up for subcontract order
Explain me short in detail with some real time exampless without links ....
Thanks

Define Reasons for Ordering
In this step, you define possible reasons for ordering. These describe why a purchase order was placed. You can enter the reason for ordering in the item data when creating or maintaining a purchase order. The "reason for ordering" can also be used to document the reason for returning goods if the item in question is a returns item.
Example
A typical reason for the creation of a purchase order may be "New business contact following attendance at a trade fair". Returns may be due to suppliers recalling parts or quality deficiencies you have discovered yourself.
Activities
1. Check which reasons for ordering are likely to occur in your enterprise.
2. If you wish to define new reasons, enter an alphanumeric key of max. three characters in length plus a short description.
======================================================================================================
Define Reasons for Cancellation
In this step, you can specify the circumstances under which a purchase order with a validity period (i.e., in the standard system, a PO of the document type 'FO') is terminated prematurely.
Activities
Define a key and enter a description of the relevant reasons for cancellation.
Example - if some one purposely cancels order, it can be tracked so that no one does it and only authorised officials can cancel orders in case of emergency.
======================================================================================================
Set Up Authorization Check for G/L Accounts
In this step, you set up the authorization check for G/L accounts in the case of purchase orders and scheduling agreements.
You can determine whether or not the authorization check is to be active for each company code.
If the check is active, each time a G/L account is entered in a PO or a scheduling agreement, the system checks whether the user has the posting authorization for the specified account.
Activities
Make the desired settings.
Mainly for Authorisation for GL.
====================================================================================================
Set Up Subcontract Order
For the supply of the input materials to be provided to the vendor (subcontractor) with respect to subcontract purchase orders, you have the option of creating an SD delivery from the list of stocks for a subcontractor.
In this step, you can specify a delivery type for the delivery of materials to be provided to the subcontractor.
If you make no settings here, in the standard system the delivery type "LB" is used. This means that you need make no further settings in order to use the functionality.
If you wish to set up new delivery types, you must extend all the relevant settings in SD Customizing for the delivery.
For more on this topic, please refer to Deliveries in Customizing for Shipping.

  • SuPM - Data from SAP BW Query(Automatic) and Manual not displayed in KPI

    Dear Forum,
I am also, currently working on a project implementing BO SuPM Version 1.0. Landscape is ECC -> BI -> SuPM dashboards.
I have created a KPI in SuPM dashboard.
Case 1 : Automatic data collection - This KPI is marked for Automatic data collection. So, maintained Scripts with Connectivity and SAP BW Query name. I save this KPI and include in a new report and Run it. There are no records displayed.
Case 2: Manual data collection - This KPI is marked for manual data collection. So, maintained values in SuPM portal itself. I save this KPI and include in a new report and Run it. There are no records displayed.
Could you please help me how KPI in SuPM be filled manually and automatically ( from BW Query)?
    Thanks,
    Best Regards
    PhaniRaj

    Dear Phani,
First of All, you should have a framework created and assign the Core KPI to that framework and specify the frequency of the framework (Say Monthly) and Activate it.
Upon Activation, if it is a Manual Data Collection, then you should perform Role Assignment ie specifyinfwho would be the Business Contributor & Approver for ur Manual KPI.
After this, you have to run this program [/SRCORE/DATAREQUEST] in SE38 in the backend system which wil create a data request,
Later you should login as Business Contributor and go to MY Data Requests and then provide the data for the Month specified. Then login as Approver and under Approvals option, you should Approve the data. Now, you should go to SuPM application and select that Month in the dimension and KPI and then RUN the Report.
For Automated Data Collection, you should have to initially creata a Query (SAP/ BW) and specify the name of the query in SPRO--> Sustainability Performance Management --> Automated Data Collection --> Maintain Queries (SAP/ BW) -->  Specify that Query name and the Connector ID (SM59).
Now go for KPI creation and specify the Query name in the KPI and then Assign the KPI to the framework and activate it.
Upon Activation, You should RUN the program /SRCORE/AUTO_DATA_COLLECT. Now, select this KPI in the report and RUN the report.
If you perform these actions, you will get the values in the report.
It can be checked in the backend application, either by checking the Process chain[RSPC] or by checking the Infocube if the data is loaded into the Infocube or not.
Let me know if you face any problems...

Landscape:We have both BW 3.5 and EP 6.0, SP 16 on the same instance in
same physical machine. EP 6.0 works on J2EE engine as an add-in installtion.
Steps we followed for the integration of EP with BW:
1)Create RFC Destination in J2EE Engine:
    Parameters:
    Program ID: xyz
    Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    Gateway service: sapgw00
    Application server host:abc.ad.company.com
    System number: 00
    Client: BID
    Language: EN
    User: sapjsf
    Password: ********
2)Maintain RFC Destination for SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
Connection type: T for TCP/IP connection
    Description: SAP EP RFC Destination
    Technical Settings:
    - Type of activation: Registered server program
    - Program ID: xyz
    - Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    - Gateway service: sapgw00
    Logon/Security:
    - Send SAP Logon Ticket: Activated
    Special Options:
    Unicode
3)Maintain Portal Server Settings for SAP EP 6.0 in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL
    in BW 3.5
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
    System name: BIDEV
    Default: Checked
    Portal URL prefix: http://abc.ad.company.com:50000
RM prefix for BW metadata: <empty>
    KM service URL: <empty>
P.S.:We have maintained one more dummy entry as per the SAP Note 815044
    in the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL.
4)Maintain Single Sign-On in SAP BW
In transaction RZ10, We have maintained following settings:
    login/create_sso2_ticket=2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket=1
5)Export BW Certificate to SAP BW and
6)Import BW Certificate to SAP EP 6.0
We have followed the above mentioned two steps.
7)Create BW System in SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    Log on methods: SAPLOGONTICKET
We have created the BW system and the Connection test in WAS Connection
    is working fine.
8)Configure User Management in SAP EP 6.0
This step is not maintained as our scenario does not demand it.
9)Export Portal Certificate to SAP EP 6.0 and
10)Import Portal Certificate to SAP BW
This step is also maintained as per Performance Assistant guidelines in
    SPRO.
The user that we are trying to log into BeX Web Query Analyzer is
Amarnath_rr who has 'SAP ALL' rights and the same user in EP is assigned'Super Admin' as well as 'Content Admin' role.
Can anyone throw any light on wat the error might be??

    Ricky,
    a couple of clarifications :
    1. Does the report execute independently on the web - when you execute in Query view over IE or through a web template
    2. Check if SSO is properly configured - you can check if SSO is enabled by using TCode STRUST in BW. - the status of PSE should be Green.

  • Problem with unit in Query

    Hallo Experts,
We encounter a problem with unit in our Query.
    Szenario:
We use the Unit like PC, SET in Query.
In Table T006 those Units have value 0 in the field ANDEC, so they will be rounded up and rounded down in Query.
Our Problem is some Queries need the rounding up and down but others don't need this function.
Where and how should we change to solve the problem.
    thanks & Best regards

    hi,
if you want to control the rounding off while unit conversion you can do it from SPRO
In the BW system, goto SPRO -> SAP NetWeaver -> General Settings -> Check Units of Measurement -> Units of Measurement -> Choose the unit corresponding to 'KM' -> Click on 'Details' button in the toolbar.
Look the field 'Decimal Pl rounding'. Change this to 3 or whatever value you choose and see if it works.
in above link i have taken example of KM, you need need to select the required unit.
let us know if this is solves your problem. I am not sure if this can be done for individual queries but this is controlled by UOM wise as mentioned above.
    Regards,
    Rk.

    BW Back end
    Some Tips -
1)Identify long-running extraction processes on the source system. Extraction processes are performed by several extraction jobs running on the source system. The run-time of these jobs affects the performance. Use transaction code SM37 — Background Processing Job Management — to analyze the run-times of these jobs. If the run-time of data collection jobs lasts for several hours, schedule these jobs to run more frequently. This way, less data is written into update tables for each run and extraction performance increases.
2)Identify high run-times for ABAP code, especially for user exits. The quality of any custom ABAP programs used in data extraction affects the extraction performance. Use transaction code SE30 — ABAP/4 Run-time Analysis — and then run the analysis for the transaction code RSA3 — Extractor Checker. The system then records the activities of the extraction program so you can review them to identify time-consuming activities. Eliminate those long-running activities or substitute them with alternative program logic.
3)Identify expensive SQL statements. If database run-time is high for extraction jobs, use transaction code ST05 — Performance Trace. On this screen, select ALEREMOTE user and then select SQL trace to record the SQL statements. Identify the time-consuming sections from the results. If the data-selection times are high on a particular SQL statement, index the DataSource tables to increase the performance of selection (see no. 6 below). While using ST05, make sure that no other extraction job is running with ALEREMOTE user.
4)Balance loads by distributing processes onto different servers if possible. If your site uses more than one BW application server, distribute the extraction processes to different servers using transaction code SM59 — Maintain RFC Destination. Load balancing is possible only if the extraction program allows the option
5)Set optimum parameters for data-packet size. Packet size affects the number of data requests to the database. Set the data-packet size to optimum values for an efficient data-extraction mechanism. To find the optimum value, start with a packet size in the range of 50,000 to 100,000 and gradually increase it. At some point, you will reach the threshold at which increasing packet size further does not provide any performance increase. To set the packet size, use transaction code SBIW — BW IMG Menu — on the source system. To set the data load parameters for flat-file uploads, use transaction code RSCUSTV6 in BW.
6)Build indexes on DataSource tables based on selection criteria. Indexing DataSource tables improves the extraction performance, because it reduces the read times of those tables.
7)Execute collection jobs in parallel. Like the Business Content extractors, generic extractors have a number of collection jobs to retrieve relevant data from DataSource tables. Scheduling these collection jobs to run in parallel reduces the total extraction time, and they can be scheduled via transaction code SM37 in the source system.
8). Break up your data selections for InfoPackages and schedule the portions to run in parallel. This parallel upload mechanism sends different portions of the data to BW at the same time, and as a result the total upload time is reduced. You can schedule InfoPackages in the Administrator Workbench.
You can upload data from a data target (InfoCube and ODS) to another data target within the BW system. While uploading, you can schedule more than one InfoPackage with different selection options in each one. For example, fiscal year or fiscal year period can be used as selection options. Avoid using parallel uploads for high volumes of data if hardware resources are constrained. Each InfoPacket uses one background process (if scheduled to run in the background) or dialog process (if scheduled to run online) of the application server, and too many processes could overwhelm a slow server.
9). Building secondary indexes on the tables for the selection fields optimizes these tables for reading, reducing extraction time. If your selection fields are not key fields on the table, primary indexes are not much of a help when accessing data. In this case it is better to create secondary indexes with selection fields on the associated table using ABAP Dictionary to improve better selection performance.
10)Analyze upload times to the PSA and identify long-running uploads. When you extract the data using PSA method, data is written into PSA tables in the BW system. If your data is on the order of tens of millions, consider partitioning these PSA tables for better performance, but pay attention to the partition sizes. Partitioning PSA tables improves data-load performance because it's faster to insert data into smaller database tables. Partitioning also provides increased performance for maintenance of PSA tables — for example, you can delete a portion of data faster. You can set the size of each partition in the PSA parameters screen, in transaction code SPRO or RSCUSTV6, so that BW creates a new partition automatically when a threshold value is reached.
11)Debug any routines in the transfer and update rules and eliminate single selects from the routines. Using single selects in custom ABAP routines for selecting data from database tables reduces performance considerably. It is better to use buffers and array operations. When you use buffers or array operations, the system reads data from the database tables and stores it in the memory for manipulation, improving performance. If you do not use buffers or array operations, the whole reading process is performed on the database with many table accesses, and performance deteriorates. Also, extensive use of library transformations in the ABAP code reduces performance; since these transformations are not compiled in advance, they are carried out during run-time.
12)Before uploading a high volume of transaction data into InfoCubes, activate the number-range buffer for dimension IDs. The number-range buffer is a parameter that identifies the number of sequential dimension IDs stored in the memory. If you increase the number range before high-volume data upload, you reduce the number of reads from the dimension tables and hence increase the upload performance. Do not forget to set the number-range values back to their original values after the upload. Use transaction code SNRO to maintain the number range buffer values for InfoCubes.
13)Drop the indexes before uploading high-volume data into InfoCubes. Regenerate them after the upload. Indexes on InfoCubes are optimized for reading data from the InfoCubes. If the indexes exist during the upload, BW reads the indexes and tries to insert the records according to the indexes, resulting in poor upload performance. You can automate the dropping and regeneration of the indexes through InfoPackage scheduling. You can drop indexes in the Manage InfoCube screen in the Administrator Workbench.
14)IDoc (intermediate document) archiving improves the extraction and loading performance and can be applied on both BW and R/3 systems. In addition to IDoc archiving, data archiving is available for InfoCubes and ODS objects.
    Hope it Helps

  • How to Use separate web template to a query, when default one is configured

    Hi,
A default template is configured in SPRO. and all the queries display data using this template. Now I want to display a particular query result in a separed template that is customised to suit the need.
how can I achieve it? When I customise template and attach query to it, it displays the result in this template, when executed from WAD. If I execute from Bex, The result is automatically displayed in the default template mensioned in SPRO.
    Please advise.

If you want this template to be attached to this query alone - then you will have to have the same as a separate iView on portal.. when you execute from BEx the default template will get executed and by changing the default template all the queries will start using the default template... it is not possible for you to specify the template to be used when executing queries from BEx Query designer..

  • Link to Web Analyzer from rsrt or query designer does not work.

If I start with the transaction RSRT a query in the Java Web would get the following error message:
    Java Runtime Error
But if I had started earlier browser, the portal there is no problem. Is this a SSO problem?
The same problem I have when I would run in the Bex Query Designer the query.
    Greetings
    Kerim

    Hi,
Do you have all the parameters correct in SPRO? Take a look at this, under the BW Customizing -> REporting relevant settings or BW Customizing -> SAP Web Application Server.
I dont remember the right place where you have to configure this, but it should be there.
The error is just "Java Runtime Error"? Try to talk with your Basis team, maybe there is a log to help you.

    Hi,
The web template 0ADHOC is usually the standard web template for 3.x queries. The Report Designer executes the reports in java web, thus tries to find the template 0ADHOC in the 7.0 templates and does not find it. Check whether you have maintained the standard web template 0ADHOC for 7.0 reports also:
Transaktion SPRO -> SAP Reference Image -> SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence -> Settings for Reporting and Analysis -> Bex Web -> Set Standard Web Templates

Dear Purushotham, You can maintain the Fiscal year Variant in OB29. 2 possibilities, #1 : Data for the FYV/Year could be wrong. #2 : Updates for Fiscal Year might not have been done. You can maintaine FY varients up to FY 2XXX in your BW system. This should fix the error. The table T009 must be the same as we get when we do OB29 TCode in BW, so via SPRO do rebuild of table again.

  • Error while saving workbook or query

Hi guys. After upgrade to 7.0 we are experiencing error while saving workbook or query.
    We are using BEx 3.5.
    Here is the error:
"Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXEPTION.
An exeption with the type CX_SY_PROGRAM_NOT_FOUND occured, but was neighter handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause.
    Program CP9QUC052Y8TXQ0C2TM5KB0T92K does not exist"
What can be the cause of this error?

    Hi Jose!
    It was easy.
The problem can be solved by reactivating the personalization
    for the BEx.
To reactivate the personilization go to transaction SPRO and navigate:
SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> SAP
NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence -> Settings for Reporting and
Analysis -> General Settings for Reportiung and Analysis
    or
    open the transaction RS_PERS_ACTIVATE
    Check all boxes and execute.
    Hope it helps.
    Vad.

  • Strange problem in a query

    Hello all,
I'm facing a non-sense problem in a query, I hope you could help me.
I have defined a structure in the rows of my query. Inside the structure, I have defined several selections and formulas. Selections are basically account intervals and formulas are additions of some selections.
Some formulas are correct, adding amounts properly but others aren't. Instead of the addition, a * appears.
Even if I copy and paste now one correct formula and show both in the execution, the first one appears correctly and the second one shows a *. How is it possible?
I need some suggestions about what to do. Thank you in advance. I will assign points.

    Thank you for your answers!
I have followed Mustafa advice in SPRO and now I don't see any *.
But there is a thing I can't understand now. As said before, I created a formula based on selections and it shows correctly the amount and the unit.
Then I have copied the formula and pasted after the first one. Both of them show the same value but only the first one is showing the amount.
What do you think? How is it possible if both have been defined identically?

  • Blank space in Query Designer formula

    Hello
I am using a formula in query designer to make some calculation but, once executed, this formula shows a blank space.
What does a blank space means?? The formula is not giving me an error.
    Thank you,
    Skull

    Hi,
I think the blank appears in the report because it is encountering a Divide by Zero error.
First check what calculations your doing in the formula. If your doing a division and if there are chances that the Denominator is 0 and numerator has some value, then based on the setting in the spro, you might get a blank.
Try and put the function in BEx that handles divide by zero errors. The function is NDIV0
If that is not the case then please paste the formula that you have written.

  • How to set default Web Template for BEx Query iViews in Portal?

    Hi,
    1) In SPRO you can set the Standard Web Template used, e.g. ZANALYSIS_PATTERN1.
    2) I published a query to Portal and when it runs within Portal, I want it to use a different web template, say ZANALYSIS_PATTERN2.
I don't want to change the BEx Web Application Query String property for each iView to hardcode the template e.g. to "QUERY=TestQuery1&TEMPLATE=ZANALYSIS_PATTERN2"
I only want the query name in the iView
Can I set this somewhere in Portal?  I tried changing the standard "BEx Web Analyzer" iView as mentioned in
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/33/39fa40ee14f26fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm (BEx Web Application or Query as iView in the Portal)
but it still seems to take the template from SPRO even after restarting J2EE

    Hi,
I don't think anyone is holding back knowledge, I think it's sometimes difficult to filter out "good" questions as opposed to "bad" questions...
In any case, I don't think it's possible to have different default templates, eg one for the portal and one for the "rest". I'm afraid you'll have to either change each one on the portal or use one for all.
    Cheers,
    Dion
