Query regarding Insurance of the objects in plant

Dear Sir,
            In my Implemenatation project i have the query regarding the insurance of the fleet object(Transporting Vechle) and Life insurance.
     As th eprocedure is when the object's insurance is finished the Note is sent by the respective department head to MD and finance department.Later it is aproved by MD and request is forwarded to finance dept and later the finance dept issue the cheque to the insurance Company.
                  even During Breakdown(Accident) of the Vechile the Note is sent and same procedure is followed as above please let me know the standard SAP Procedure that i have to use in SAP so that Transaction would be Easy for me and my client.

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement where client wants to know the relevance of u201CBasic data textu201D and u201Cinspection textu201D tabs in material master (these appear when we click on additional data tab in material master) and also if we maintain text in these fields for a material where it will be reflected? for e.g where/in what transactions can we see these text appearing.
Please let me know the relevance of these two fields and where these can be reflected. It would be nice if you can also tell me the tables and fields for these two.

This text are maintained in tables STXH and STXL.
For fetch this texts use FM READ_TEXT with parameters:
ID = 'GRUN' - for Basic data text
ID = 'PRUE' - for inspection text
and for both texts
LANGUAGE = sy-langu
NAME = material number (with leading zeros)
OBJECT = 'MATERIAL'

Query Crawl Log using the object model

I'd like to query from code the items that have been deleted from the Crawl Log. I see the following method in MSDN but it does not seem to exist in the API:

Note that it's overload

Query regarding Order of the column in a table

We have a table called EMP in several of our schemas. JOB is the third column in order. But in some schemas, JOB is not the third column. How can i find the schemas with EMP table where JOB column is not the third column?

How to cache the objects MANUALLY?

hello
some o-r mapping tools can cache the objects that have been queried,then next time these objects are required,it don't need to access the database again,it can also monitor the database updating.
i wonder how i can implement such "cache" function MANUALLY? because i DON'T want to use ANY o-r mapping tools. i only use the jdbc to query database,then generate the object.
who can give me some clue?? or articles? or sample codes??

mechanism of the cache,and how to implement it myself
without using the o-r mapping tools.
the dao pattern can encapsulate the database
access,but it can NOT cache the object .First you need to define how the caching occurs.
- Can the data in the database change without going through your code?
- Are there multiple copies of your app running at the same time. If yes then what happens if one is updated?
- How many of these can there be and what impact will this have on memory?
- etc.
You also need to identify the 'identity' of an object.
A simple strategy....
- Some layer requests an object using the 'identity'.
- The database layer code looks in a hash for the 'identity'. If it finds it it returns it.
- If it doesn't find it it uses a DAO to load it, then puts it in the hash, then returns it.

How to get fill in the description of the objects in the universe on BW

I would like to know if there is a way to inherit the description field from every characteristics and attributes to the desciption field in the universe ?

when you are within a universe in the designer module you have for example the object
L01 Plant . that comes from the characterisitc Plant . ( in the universe it is a dimension object)
if you go in the universe to the properties of the object, you will find out that you have 3 fields:
1 - description field: limited i believe to 255 characters and where you would put a business description
2 - Select Clause: where you put for example [0PLANT].[LEVEL01]
3 - Where Clause: which we do not use in our case
I am interested in getting the business description from BEX or any other BW tool .
it that something we could do
as a side notes, when going against an RDBMS database we do have a way , i believe by changing the external strategy in the universe to retrieve the comment field of a table and to put it in the description field.
I was wondering if there is a similar feature when going against BW

Toplink does not return the object sometimes - VeryHigh Volume application

Hi All,
Toplink version: 10.1.3.4, OAS 10.1.3.4, Oracle 10g, RedHat linux 4.0
We have a high volume application where toplink issues one of our queries like 25K times/hour.Query is a simple one querying the table based on the primary key(Id) that should return 1 object.
This query is not returning the object sometimes I should say like 200 times/hour. What bothers me is that the same query on the same Id(primary-key) returns the object another time.
I did enable the toplink logging level to FINE where I could see the SQL query getting issued to the DB, I was unsuccessful in changing the logging level to ALL to check if the object is getting returned by the toplink layer and being registered in the cache kind of details.
This is not easily re-producable as this only occurs in our Pre-Prod environment where we can simulate high volume. This completely baffles me and I am running out of ideas.

If you are configured for an isolated cache then there should be no concurrency issues. Each thread will query the database directly and load the object into the UnitOfWork. Is there an Exception handler configured on TopLink? Are you getting a timeout exception or some other exception that is being ignored?

A query regarding synchronised functions, using shared object

I have this little query, regarding the functions that are synchronised, based on accessing the lock to the object, which is being used for synchronizing.
Ok, I will clear myself with the following example :
class First

synchronized((Integer) a)

} // End of func_three, WHICH IS ACTUALLY NOT ALLOWED,

synchronized((Integer) b)
{ / function logic
} // End of func_four
First obj1 = new First();
First obj2 = new First();
Note that the four functions are different on the following criteria :
a) Whether the function is static or non-static.
b) Whether the object on which synchronization is based is a static, or a non-static member of the class.
Now, first my-thoughts; kindly correct me if I am wrong :
a) In case 1, we have a non-static function, synchronized on a non-static object. Thus, effectively, there is no-synchronisation, since in case obj1 and obj2 happen to call the func_one at the same time, obj1 will obtain lock for obj1.a; and obj2 will obtain lock to obj2.a; and both can go inside the supposed-to-be-synchronized-function-but-actually-is-not merrily.
Kindly correct me I am wrong anywhere in the above.
b) In case 2, we have a non-static function, synchronized on a static object. Here, again if obj1, and obj2 happen to call the function at the same time, obj1 will try to obtain lock for obj1.a; while obj2 will try to obtain lock for obj2.a. However, since obj1.a and obj2.a are the same, thus we will indeed obtain sychronisation.
Kindly correct me I am wrong anywhere in the above.
c) In case 3, we have a static function , synchronized on a non-static object. However, Java does not allow functions of this type, so we may safely move forward.
d) In case 4, we have a static function, synchronized on a static object.
Here, again if obj1, and obj2 happen to call the function at the same time, obj1 will try to obtain lock for obj1.a; while obj2 will try to obtain lock for obj2.a. However, since obj1.a and obj2.a are the same, thus we will indeed obtain sychronisation. But we are only partly done for this case.

Now, I have a query : what happens if the call is made in a classically static manner, i.e. using the statement "First.func_four;".
Another query : so far we have been assuming that the only objects contending for the synchronized function are obj1, and obj2, in a single thread. Now, consider this, suppose we have the same reference obj1, in two threads, and the call "obj1.func_four;" happens to occur at the same time from each of these threads. Thus, we have obj1 rying to obtain lock for obj1.a; and again obj1 trying to obtain lock for obj1.a, which are the same locks. So, if obj1.a of the first thread obtains the lock, then it will enter the function no-doubt, but the call from the second thread will also succeed. Thus, effectively, our synchronisation is broken.
Or am I being dumb ?

Apart from the coding bug noted below, there would be synchronization between different threads using the same instance of First.

Thus, effectively, our synchronisation is broken.No it isn't. The second thread will wait on the same First.b object that the first thread has locked.
However in any case you have a much bigger problem here. You're autoboxing your local 'int' variable to a possibly brand-new Integer object every call, so there may be no synchronization at all.
You need:
Object a = new Object();
static Object b = new Object();

RSRQ_QUERYDEFINITION is a program to give all details about query if you executed it in SE38.
And similarly tcode RSRT1 and RSRT used to execute the queries.
Tcode RSRREPDIR to know the Query execution time and details.

Query regarding the conversion of DME file in MT940 format.

Hello Experts,
I have a query regarding the generation of MT940 file after generating the payment file from other DME tree.
After completion of payment run, my payment file is generated in the DME format which is according to the DME tree.
I want to convert the DME file (which is generated via F110) from existing format to the standard MT940 format.
Is there any standard program which converts the DME file to MT940. If so, please inform me as early.
I have tried to upload the DME file in FF.5 transaction, but it is not allowing me to convert the file in MT940 structure.
Or please inform the steps how i can convert the file .

if i have 2 table with a same column name then in the datatype under parent row node i cant add 2 nodes with the same name.

One option would be to go as mentioned by Padamja , prefxing the table name to the column name or another would be to use the AS keyoword in your SQL statement.
AS is used to rename the column name when data is being selected from your DB.
So, the query Select ename as empname from emptable will return the data with column name as empname.

This is an interesting requirement - I've never seen a process to cover insurance using the PM module.
You could follow the warranty process to claim insurance.
Alternatively, talk to you Finance team to see what they recommend.

I have one query regarding the fields details in particular form for all the users in company.
Let take an exapmle if i had created Purchase Order having fields in content tab as 1.Item No. 2.Quantity 3.Unit Proce 4.Total 5. Location.
While Login in User manager i set these fields only for Purchase order , but when i login from other user and open the similar purchase order the defaults fields are also seen including above 4 fieds .
Now my question is how to set the User choice fiels for the particular form that are common to all users.
Means whenever i login in any user and opens the same document the same fields should be seen....Thanksssss.........

You have to login with each and every user and do the Form Settings of every forms, so that all the forms look same for all the users.
This is a manual job and you have do do it with every user login.

SQL Query to return all the dependent objects

I have a question.
Suppose I am creating a table with a join on 10 other tables, views etc..
And there are nested sub-queries in the CREATE statement.
How can I get the list of all the dependent objects for that table without counting them manually.
I know, we can right click the table/view name and check the dependent objects in Toad or SQL Developer.
But, I want to know the SQL query for getting that information.

well there is no way oracle would know what query was used when the table was created.
But here is one intuitive trick:
Step 1: Create a procedure that will have a cursor declared on the query you want to know what tables/views are used.
Step 2: Check USER_DEPENDENCIES to see what objects this procedure depends on
Let say you want to create TEST_A table using the following statement:

1) In the nodemanager.properties I have added the ListenAddress:myMachineName and ListenPort: 5556
My setup : One physical Linux machine(myMachineName) has : WLS admin server, managed server(OAM 11G) and nodemanager.No clustered environment.
2) nodemanager.log has the following exception when I start the oam_server1 using EM(Enterprise Manager11g):

By using netstat -anp|grep 5556 you can check which process on your machine is using the 5556 port.
