Query regarding Standard table vs Z-table in SAP about deletion of data?

Dear Experts,
Can we delete the data form the standard table in SAP. If yes than will it ask for the request to make them effective itself, because when we delete the data from any ztable, it will not ask for the request to make them effective at the produstion server ?  If possible plz update me with yr elaborate and detailed concerneds.
Regards,
Akg

Sorry to intervene here Dhina but that is just halfways correct.
If delivery class NOT = C then it is NOT a customizing table and therefore you wont get any transport request updating or deleting data from it.
But if it is a customizing table then you got to look for the recording routine. You can see this by viewing your table in SE11, then using the menu like following:
utilities->table maintainance generator.
Then look at the info in the bottowm frame. if "standard recording routine" is tagged, then you get a transport request.
If the other option is tagged you wont get it. What again means you can customize this table directly in the system where you need those entries.
why is that?
well assume there is a customizing for e.G. materials, depending on materialnumber. If that table would have a standard recording routine you would need ALL your materials in your development system which would be quite unusual.

  • Query Regarding fetching selected records from table

    Hi All,
I have a table like below:
    NUM1     NUM2     TYPE
    1     2     A
    1     2     S
    2     3     S
    3     4     A
    3     4     S
    4     5     S
If for a record TYPE='A' then do not select the records for those num1 and num2.
Eg: for num1=1 and num2=2 there are two records with type='A' and 'S', only records with type 'A' should get selected.
    Output should be like this:
    NUM1     NUM2     TYPE
    1     2     A
    2     3     S
    3     4     A
    4     5     S
Please anyone could help me in this query.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

  • Query regarding passing of an internal table data to a form

    Hi All,
Please help me out regardingmy query.
I have a standard driver program and a Z form(SAPSCRIPT). Suppose i have an RFQ and it has number of line items in it, I need to fetch them all for a RFQ and then pass to the form and as this functionality is not available in the driver program, i want to  achieve via a subroutine pool. Passing of the data via the itcsy structure and all or by calling a write_form and passing the element to it.
Can u all let me know whether i can pass the data ie., multipe records of data to form from a program otehr than the driver program?
    Regards
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
Why you need separate subroutine, you will find all the required data in the driver program itself.
Just identify the Standard Subroutine in NACE tcode,
For all Standard Driver program is SAPFM06P
    For RFQ
    Application type is 'EA'
    Output types are
    1) New
    2) Reminder
    3) Quotation rejection
Further standard subroutines used for each output type are
    1)ENTRY_NEU  -  New
    2)ENTRY_MAHN - Reminder
    3)ENTRY_ABSA - Quotation rejection
and the above mentioned subroutines get the data required for the corresponding sapscript
    RFQ Docno :- ekpo-ebeln
    RFQ Item   :- ekpo-ebelp

  • Query Regarding Standard Infotype Enhancement

    Hi Experts!
I have enhanced IT0021 with a Custom field for Switzerland through PM01. But, my requirement is that this field should be only visible for the Subtype '2' ( Child ). For all other subtypes of IT0021, this field should not be seen at all. I know I can write some custom code in include ZP002100 and check for the subtype and make the field invisible. But, yet, is there another elegant way through any custom setting? I mean through SPRO.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Mahesh,
Even after configuring T588M table for the screen modifications, you will still need the logic be incorporated only through some programming changes for the mentioned include. You may also check the Userexit option for setting up this validation based on the subtype.

Do you have a message group component on the page to display runtime errors?
Did you check the server log (right-click Deployment Server and choose View Server Log) to see if any errors show up there?
Do you have any table colomn components bound to non-string fields? If so, did you drop the right type of converters on those components?

  • Inforation on Pool tables and cluster tables required.

I want to know about the pool tables and cluster tables like how to create them and how to look the tables associated with the given tables. Like for the table BSEG we have other tables linked BSID etc. I'm new to this concept please guide me.

    <b>Pooled Table:</b>
A pooled table in R/3 has a many-to-one relationship with a table in the database (see Figures 3.1 and 3.2). For one table in the database, there are many tables in the R/3 Data Dictionary. The table in the database has a different name than the tables in the DDIC, it has a different number of fields, and the fields have different names as well. Pooled tables are an SAP proprietary construct.
When you look at a pooled table in R/3, you see a description of a table. However, in the database, it is stored along with other pooled tables in a single table called a table pool. A table pool is a database table with a special structure that enables the data of many R/3 tables to be stored within it. It can only hold pooled tables.
R/3 uses table pools to hold a large number (tens to thousands) of very small tables (about 10 to 100 rows each). Table pools reduce the amount of database resources needed when many small tables have to be open at the same time. SAP uses them for system data. You might create a table pool if you need to create hundreds of small tables that each hold only a few rows of data. To implement these small tables as pooled tables, you first create the definition of a table pool in R/3 to hold them all. When activated, an associated single table (the table pool) will be created in the database. You can then define pooled tables within R/3 and assign them all to your table pool.
Pooled tables are primarily used by SAP to hold customizing data.
    <b>Cluster Table:</b>
A cluster table is similar to a pooled table. It has a many-to-one relationship with a table in the database. Many cluster tables are stored in a single table in the database called a table cluster.
A table cluster is similar to a table pool. It holds many tables within it. The tables it holds are all cluster tables.
Like pooled tables, cluster tables are another proprietary SAP construct. They are used to hold data from a few (approximately 2 to 10) very large tables. They would be used when these tables have a part of their primary keys in common, and if the data in these tables are all accessed simultaneously.
Table clusters contain fewer tables than table pools and, unlike table pools, the primary key of each table within the table cluster begins with the same field or fields. Rows from the cluster tables are combined into a single row in the table cluster. The rows are combined based on the part of the primary key they have in common. Thus, when a row is read from any one of the tables in the cluster, all related rows in all cluster tables are also retrieved, but only a single I/O is needed.
A cluster is advantageous in the case where data is accessed from multiple tables simultaneously and those tables have at least one of their primary key fields in common. Cluster tables reduce the number of database reads and thereby improve performance.
Restrictions on Pooled and Cluster Tables
    1. Pooled and cluster tables are usually used only by SAP and not used by customers, probably because of the proprietary format of these tables within the database and because of technical restrictions placed upon their use within ABAP/4 programs. On a pooled or cluster table:
    2. Secondary indexes cannot be created.
    3. You cannot use the ABAP/4 constructs select distinct or group by.
    4.You cannot use native SQL.
5.You cannot specify field names after the order by clause. order by primary key is the only permitted variation.

  • Query regarding creation of tables using AET

    Hi Experts,
First of all is it advisable to create a assignment block (table view/ form view) using AET?
We are going to implement an upgrade project from  CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0. In CRM 5.0 there was a two custom tables which needs to implemented in CRM 7.0 as an assignment block. One view will be form view and the other table view. The custom tables has data. What is the best way to go about it?
If we create assignment block using AET by using the option 'CREATE TABLE' a new database table is created which has three fields 'RECORD_ID' 'OBJECT_ID' and 'PARENT_ID'. Object ID stores the External ID of the campaign as GUID (RAW 16). Parent ID stores the Campaign GUID value. How is the Record ID generated?
Now the challenge is to move the data from the custom table to the table created using AET. Is there a standard function module to take care of it or we have to write a one time report?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sayan,
I had to do the same story with the aet and the data we need to transfer into the Z table.
I have been looking for a function that takes care of it, but unfortunately i didnt found one.
If you didnt found one until now, i higherly recommand you to right a report that handles the transfer between the two tables in a generic way, and mabye even to share it
The Recoed id is simply a guid that is generetad behind the scenes, in order to keep a PK for each and each row of the Z table.
I hope that the answer helped you !

  • Query regarding the data type for fetcing records from multiple ODS tables

    hey guys;
i have a query regarding the data type for fetcing records from multiple ODS tables.
if i have 2 table with a same column name then in the datatype under parent row node i cant add 2 nodes with the same name.
can any one help with some suggestion.

    Hi Mudit,
One option would be to go as mentioned by Padamja , prefxing the table name to the column name or another would be to use the AS keyoword in your SQL statement.
AS is used to rename the column name when data is being selected from your DB.
So, the query  Select ename as empname from emptable will return the data with column name as empname.

  • OIM - query regarding child tables

    Hi All
I have a query regarding child tables. For example, when a user is removed from an AD group, his corresponding entry from the AD groups child table will be deleted. I want to know whether it is deleted of marked as deleted. Can I get the information later on that the user was removed from which AD group?
    Please help.
    Thanks

You will have to enable the audit level = Resource Form and perform the additional tasks to track the process form data changes. This will track all modifications to the forms.

  • PC UI Advanced Search - Enhancement by standard fields of transaction table

    Hello,
we are using CRM 5.0 SP13.
We are familiar to enhance PC UI applications (BP+transactions) by EEW customer fields and how to use/hide them in the search functionalities etc.
But now we need to enhance the advanced search for leads by the POSTING_DATE date of table CRMD_ORDERADM_H. Unfortunytely in PC UI advanced search structure for leads CRMT_BSP_LEA_SEARCH_ME the POSTING_DATE is not included like it is in the opportunity advanced search structure CRMT_BSP_OPP_SEARCH, where we were able to enhance the search easily by CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C customizing.
The idea is to solve the problem to create EEW fields POSTING_DATE_FROM and POSTING_DATE_TO like they are existing in CRMT_BSP_OPP_SEARCH and use them in advanced search. So far no problem in creating and displaying the EEW fileds by CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C.
But the part we are missing is to link the new EEW fields to the standard database-field POSTING_DATE and implement the search functionality "Searching by select option POSTING_DATE_FROM and POSTING_DATE_TO".
Anybody any experience to link EEW-fields to standard fields of database tables for advanced search functionality in PC UI.
Thank you for your help in advance.
    Best regards
    Marco

    Hi Marco,
The best option here is to create redefination of the query method of the leads search class. Here you can first ensure that the call to the query method of super class takes place and the next would be do mapping between custom fields to local structure and then call the relevant API's to fetch the data.

  • SQL Query in mapping to load warehouse table

    Hi experts,
I hope you can help me to solve my problem. I already searched here in forum how we can add a query in a mapping but still not found an answer.
In my warehouse I have a time dimension table which has a unique dimension key and all date information. In my source database I have a table for sales information. In that sales table I have a field called date. This date will be in format dd.mm.yyyy.
I also have a sales table in my warehouse what is nearly a copy of the source sales table. I have only one more field in this warehouse sales table called "time_dim_key". That field should get the dimension key of the warehouse time dimension table depending to the date out of the sales table from source.
To do that I'm thinking about a mapping what includes:
    - the source sales table
    - the warehouse dimension time table
    - the warehouse sales table
The normal fields I can directly map from source sales table to warehouse sales table.
But the "time_dim_key" field of warehouse sales table should get filled like:
    select dimension_key from warehouse_time_dim_table where day_date = source_sales_table.date
Unfortunately I don't know how I include a query to get the correct date out of that source sales table in the mapping to fill the warehouse sales table.
I hope somebody can help me to solve that issue.
    Thanks a lot!
    Regards,
    David

    take joiner from the pallete
    and create two groups
    1.warehouse_time_dim_table
    2.source_sales_table
    then in join condition write
    warehouse_time_dim_table.day_date = source_sales_table.date
    That will solve the purpose.
    Cheers

  • Spatial Query across schemas. one version enabled table another not -Hanged

    Hi,
I am executing a PL/sql procedure where a Spatial query run across two schemas. One table(in x schema) is version enabled and second table(in y schema) is Unversioned. Add to that complexity I am running the procedure from third user logon. I think I have enough previleges, as I won't get any error message.
But, Procedure worked fine when there is no table is version enabled. It started giving problem when one table got version enabled.
I have tried by setting " DBMS_WM.Gotoworkspace('LIVE');" before running spatial query. But still no luck, process just hangs on the spatial query.
I tried by using physical name of the Table (table1_LT) which is making it to work. But, as per Workspace manager guide, applications, programs should NOT use, this physical tables(because it is not the correct way on versioned table).
    1. How can I hint to my query, to use a table from only live version?
    2. Why Query is hanging forever (even tried by leaving it over night....)
Normally it used to take one or two minutes(before versioning..)
I have posted it Workspace manager forum, But No Luck (people seems to be shy away after seeing "Spatial query" )
    Any help is highly appriciated

    Hi,
I will need to know more details about the specific query you are performing. So, please do the following:
    1. list the actual query that you are using
    2. generate an explain plan of the query both before and after the table was version enabled. use @?/rdbms/admin/utlxpls or anything that generates the predicate information.
    3. also, give any pertinent details about the table(size of the table, number of rows expected to be returned, column types in the table, etc).
Based on that, I will see if I can suggest a possible hint that may be able to improve the performance of your query.

    Hi hoek,
I am not able to use Oracle's audit functionality becuase I need to trap some changes in particular tables and then rebuild query if required.
    Thanks for your suggestion though.

As this table contain two filelds Time To Repair and Time Between Repair , i want to knew how the standard program for the table have calculate them.
i shall be thankfull to you for this.
    Regards
    Pavneet Rana

    Hi,
Program for table is generated dynamically for each user ID, when ever you change the selection screen in SE16 or when you are executing the table entries for first time. Usually it starts with /1BCDWB/DB followed by table name. In your case it would be /1BCDWB/DBS070.
Go to Se16, enter your table name and click enter. Once you are in selection screen, goto Menu=>system=>Status. Here you can see the program name.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.
