Question about Averaged DC-RMS for N Chans

hi,all
I am using Averaged DC-RMS.vi to filter random noise from waveforms. When
I input only one channel waveform, it works ok. like follow:
http://www.smth.edu.cn/bbscon.php?bid=336&id=10237&ap=496
But when I input two channel waveforms, no waveform output. It should be
work according to the manual of Averaged DC-RMS.vi. as follow:
http://www.smth.edu.cn/bbscon.php?bid=336&id=10237&ap=40452
Any suggestion would be appreciate!!

Hi
I`m having a problem. I`ve been triying to plot diferent signals in matlab which has and hasn´t averaged dc-rms in my program of acquisition data in LabView 7.1, but i can´t see them because they have diferent size in their data and i need to compare each other with and without  averaged  dc-rms running in the same task. I`ll apreciate your help.

    Question about lead in music for podcasting.
    I listen to many other podcasts and there are those which play lead in music with bit of music inside their podcast. The music are songs we all know and enjoy. I have notice that they only play short small clips of these songs and are not royalty free songs.
    My Question would be is there a limit of time which you can play any song with out paying for it and use it in a podcast legally.
    Thanks Mike

    Legally you cannot use copyright music without written permission or a licence from a recognized authority, no matter how short the clip. Many people do this and get away with it (and for full tracks too) and it's debatable how much notice anyone is likely to take, or whether they would be bothered about a short clip. But the legal position is, it's not legal.

  • Question about required workshop classes for OCP

    Im working on finishing up my OCP in a few months. Quick question about the workshop class. Is there a test at the end of the week?
    Also how do most people pay for these classes? They are pretty steep and my company doesnt pay for stuff like this for me. Im paying totally out of my own pocket. Also why is the online class the same amount as the instructor lead class? Its not like im in a room at some building that Oracle has to lease for use or something.

  • Question about source system copy for BW

    Dear all,
    I have a quick question about copying a source system for BW.
    We have two clients in the source ERP:
    100 Customizing
    200 Testing
    Our BW is only linked to client 200, so when we now delete client 200 and make a copy from 100 to 200, are we then still able to restore the source system connection so that our extraction will work, or will it fail, as in client 100 I have no BW related (except the cross-client-objects like datasource) information, that can be used for a possible restore of this connection.
    What is the procedure in this case?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Unfortunately, you will lose your source connection and need to create a new one in R/3.  You can use the same source system name in BW, but check the source system connection after the copy (SM59).  Also, I would "Restore" the source system (in BW, right-click on Source system in RSA1, and click "Restore") to insure the datasources get replicated from R/3 to BW.
    Depending on how much you want your BW and R/3 systems to be in synch, you will need to rebuild all your data providers (cubes/ODS's) from your R/3 system.  This means deleting all the data and running the initializations from scratch.  At the very least, you will need to rebuild the delta queues.
    Curious, if 100 is just for customizing, is there any data in it?  Are you just creating a new blank client 200?

  • Some question about Toshiab reocvery disk for Satellite P300-133

    Hello guys ,
    I got some questions about unpleasant recovery surprises :
    *1)* I just made recovery DVD using Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator and it initially asked for 2 DVDs - but when the first one was done it didn`t require a second blanc DVD . Is it possible all system files of Windows Vista to be written on 1 DVD ?
    *2)* Could I reinstall Windows Vista using the HDD Recovery option ( by pressing F8 ) without using recovery DVD ?
    *3)* Which HDD partitions`ll be formatted ( just system C: or both C: and E: ) using HDD recovery ?
    *4)* What is recovery DVD - Image of the hard drives or Vista installation files ?
    Its pretty bad idea not to include OS on DVD when I have paid for it.
    Thanks for all the problems to Toshiba :(

    1. I think the recovery disk creator means 2 CDs. I have a Portege M700 with Windows Vista and one DVD too. I recovered it and after this I have a clean Vista installation with all drivers and tools from Toshiba. Nothing is missing.
    2. Yes, you can reinstall Vista using the HDD Recovery option when you press F8 at startup. You dont need the recovery DVD but you should create one when your HDD get some errors or something else. If you need a new Recovery DVD, you have pay for one.
    3. The complete HDD and partitions will be formatted, so backup your data first on a DVD, external HDD, USB stick or something else.
    After the reinstallation you have the factory settings.
    4. The recovery DVD is an image of the HDD about the factory settings. If you make a recovery, there are all drivers and tools already installed. Of course on the disk are the installations files of Vista, but you can only use this DVD on your Satellite P300. The disk can not be used on an other Satellite or on a PC.
    When you have more questions, have a look in the user manual. There are a many in formations about the recovery. Its in chapter 3.

  • Thunderbolt / USB3 questions about external backup drives for my new MacBook Pro

    I have a new MacBook Pro retina 13". It has two USB3 and two Thunderbolt2 ports.
    Until now on my iMac I've kept two backups on two WD USB2 drives. I have never had any problems with any of my WD Passport drives. One for Time Machine and one for CCC (a complete bootable clone incrementally created at 3:30 am every day).
    I'd like to get new portable drives for my MBP for these backups going forward and have a few very basic questions, since this is the first time to have a device with a USB3 port, and the first time I even heard about Thunderbolt.
    If I get a USB3 drive and need to use it to restore things on my older iMac, which just has USB2, will it generally connect and run with USB2 at a slower speed? Or would I have to get a drive with both USB2 and USB3 ports?
    Is Thunderbolt just an Apple thing? Or is it a new standard widely used by peripherals now? I just never heard of it before. Is it faster than USB3?
    Is it common for drives to have both Thunderbolt and USB2 connections?
    Are there "hubs" for Thunderbolt like there are for USB? Considering the limited number of ports, I'm wondering the best way to connect 2 external drives. My iMac has 4 USB2 ports on the back, and I connect one drive separate to each of those ports, rather than going through a hub.
    Is USB3 like USB2 in that if you have even 1 USB2 device (e.g. my Logitech headset) connected to a USB3 hub it will slow down everything on that hub to USB2?
    Any recommendations for good, portable backup drives?
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hi Doug,
    Lets see if we can address some of these:
    If I get a USB3 drive and need to use it to restore things on my older iMac, which just has USB2, will it generally connect and run with USB2 at a slower speed? Or would I have to get a drive with both USB2 and USB3 ports?
    USB3 is "backwards compatible" with USB2 so plugging a USB3 drive into a USB2 port should work, but at USB2 speeds.
    Is it common for drives to have both Thunderbolt and USB2 connections?
    Drives sold as Thunderbolt often (not always) have USB as well, drives sold as USB never (in my experience) have Thunderbolt connections.
    Are there "hubs" for Thunderbolt like there are for USB? Considering the limited number of ports, I'm wondering the best way to connect 2 external drives. My iMac has 4 USB2 ports on the back, and I connect one drive separate to each of those ports, rather than going through a hub.
    Yes there are (but don't expect them to be comparable in price to a USB hub) e.g. see here: http://www.belkin.com/uk/p/P-F4U055/
    Is Thunderbolt just an Apple thing? Or is it a new standard widely used by peripherals now? I just never heard of it before. Is it faster than USB3?
    I'ts an Apple technology (like firewire) and is far from widely used on peripherals.  There ARE Thunderbolt drives etc by companies such as LaCie, WD etc but they are still very expensive (3 or 4x the price of an equivalent sized USB drive).  For some this was a worthwhile expense since Thunderbolt is many times faster than USB2.  But the arrival of USB3 has, in my opinion, changed the landscape.  Yes, Thunderbolt is theoretically faster than USB3 (up to twice as fast) but benchmark tests have shown that in real world situations, the speed difference varies from no difference to Thunderbolt being 25 or 30% faster.  When you take into account that USB3 drives are more common than Thunderbolt and are only a little more expensive than USB2 drives at present, then it's a "no brainer" as far as I am concerned.
    Hope this helps.

  • Question about using 1 SETID for Vendor Master

    Hello everyone,
    I work for a large healthcare system and we are currently in the PeopleSoft training classes and are about to move into the design phase. We are a multi hospital system and are moving everyone to PeopleSoft for our ERP system. My questions is for Supply Chain purposes and hope that someone can help clarify. It is our goal to use 1 vendor master SETID for our entire hospital system. Please see my question below.
    The customer account # for a vendor is currently at the set id. The customer account # is specific to an entity as it identifies where the vendor should ship. How can we have one vendor master (setid) and still allow the correct customer account # to default on the PO (the buyer needs this when calling in an order)?

    On each of these 'dumb terminals' I assume you are looking to access the complete Mac desktop from the central Mac?
    Unfortunately, this can't be done.
    In the past, the setup you describe first was used on mainframes where each end node was a dumb terminal. But it was just text.
    Next came X11 which does mostly what you are asking about, but each end node is basically a full computer in itself. You can remotely log into a central server and get a complete desktop session. This would take using a central computer that is running full X-Windows and then you'd need a PC running Linux, or running Windows and a X-Terminal package like Exceed or a Mac with X11 installed (not sure if you can make the Mac X11 do a full-blown desktop X session.) Note that as the central server, you'd need a computer running an OS with full-blown X-Windows (Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, etc.) -- OS X is UNIX but it doesn't run full X-Windows as its window manager.
    Finally, there is what are called 'thin clients' ... a good example is Sun Microsystems' SunRay... it's enough hardware on the client side to provide display, keyboard and mouse. They boot off a central Sun Solaris server and work just like X-Windows clients. The difference here is that the SunRay unit can't work on its own; it has no disk, and has to boot from the SunRay server.
    And of course there's Windows Terminal Services, which lets you do the same thing with Windows. I think that takes Windows Server edition software on the central computer, and then a regular PC as a client.
    Sounds like your only option is to use Mac minis as you suggest. But then there's no need for a central computer to share, obviously.

  • Question about three-tier architecture for MI

    Hi,
    my question is just for the right understanding. If we speak about three-tier architecture of MI is it right, that the following is meant:
    Client = Presentation Tier
    Middleware = Application Tier/Logic Tier/Business Logic Tier
    Backend = Data Tier
    Thank you and regards,
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
    ICF (Internet Communication Framework) is actually a framework provided by any WebAS. MI makes use of this to receive/send the data from/to the client. It is referred to as ABAP Sync Service in MI terminology. Data comes in the form of HTTP stream. A service is created to provide this functionality. It performs the same job as of the J2EE engine in the earlier versions. The advantage being that an intermediate component between the client & middleware is not necessary anymore, because ICF is part of the WebAS itself.
    You can have a look at this in the sicf transaction, provide the service name as MJC, under this u can see that there are 3 services which MI uses - mi_host, mi_service & mi_mds.
    You can set these parameters in the mobileengine.config file to make the client connect to ABAP Sync Service.
    MobileEngine.Sync.Gateway.Service=/sap/bc/MJC/mi_host
    MI.Sync.ProtocolVersion=251500
    I am in the process of writing a blog, please wait for it.

  • Question about using "dumb terminals" for multiple access points

    For both home and a small busniess setting I have been trying to find info about the possibility of using some form of dumb terminal to provide multimple acces points to a single computer rather than a network of multiple computers.
    I would like to use my LCD TVs, (which have AV and PC inputs) as monitors. I am going to purchase a new mac soon, and it seems it would make sense to spend more on 1 mac with more capability rather than 5 mac-minis (yes, I am trying to have 5 access points, with one one mac).
    I have CAT5 running to all the locations I want to use, I also have airport.
    For the most part I'm expecting only one user at a time, but occasional two. OS X is multi user, but can it support simultaneous users?
    I have searched the discussions/forums and some google searching. Maybe I'm asking the wrong questions. But, I can't imagine that I am the only person who has thought of this.
    If you have any thoughts or suggesting for further searching I would appreciate it. Thanks

  • Question about purchasing apple products for government and militairy personel

    Hi everybody,
    Forgive me if this isn't the right place to start this thread and for my not perfect English language skills :$
    My name is Nick and I live in The Netherlands near Amsterdam.
    In February i'm traveling to NYC for a 7-day citytrip.
    On the internet i read some things about many discounts for militairy personel, including stories from my fellow Dutch soldiers who also got this discount because The Netherlands are allies with the US within the NATO missions in Afghanistan, Iraq and so on.
    I am an active soldier in the Dutch Army.
    In The Netherlands all Apple products are more expensive then the US products ( because of the Dutch taxes ).
    So you understand why i want to buy the Iphone 4S and Ipad 2 in the US.
    Now my question is, can I also get the militairy discount from Apple because I am a NATO allied soldier?
    Or does this rule only apply on US soldiers?
    I hope some one can help me with this issue, because I don't get enough salary to buy Apple products in The Netherlands.
    Thanks in advance,
    with kind regards,
    Nick

    Also realize that the prices in many countries appear higher than US prices because they include taxes. Because sales taxes are different in each state & town/city in the US, the price listed on the website for an iPad is less than what you'd actually be paying - and New York City taxes are not cheap (combined state and city is 8.875%) - so a $499 iPad actually costs $543.29. You might have to pay an import duty when you bring the iPad back, and if you don't you could be charged for it when bringing the iPad into an Apple Store for warranty service - I've been told this is true in the UK, for one.

  • Question about bootable USB installer for Yosemite

    After having wi-fi issues last month, I reinstalled Yosemite (clean install).  I only mention that so that it is understood that I have a pretty good understanding of how this process works.
    But I am old school and I like physical media for various reasons......not least of which would be in the event I ever have future problems getting online to obtain the download from the app store.  So this evening, I decided to create a USB bootable installer for Yosemite.  I used the following web site, which is quite thorough in explaining the process:
    http://osxdaily.com/2014/10/16/make-os-x-yosemite-boot-install-drive/
    I followed the instructions and successfully created my bootable media using a USB drive.  But because I wanted to put this newly created bootable media to the test (without actually reinstalling anything), I just restarted the computer (command R) to ensure I could boot to the USB installer.  I then clicked on disk utilities and noticed the following folders (and subfolders):
    Macintosh HD
    ---Macintosh HD
    31.95 GB PNY USB
    --Install OS X Yosemite
    disk 3
    --OS X Install ESD
    disk 4
    --OS X Base System
    Now for my question, does anyone know why I have these multiple folders on the USB drive?  I can understand the first set (Macintosh HD and its subfolder) being my current OS X setup.  And the second setup of folders (31.95 GB PNY USB --Install OS X Yosemite) being the actual USB installer.  But what's up with those last two sets of folders called disk 3--OS X install ESD and disk 4--OX X Base System?  Does anyone know?  Perhaps one of those folder sets under disk 3 or disk 4 would be a hidden partition?  But why both disk 3 and disk 4 folders?
    I just want to make sure everything is correct here; and that I am good to go with the USB bootable media!  I carefully followed the instructions using the above link to create this USB drive.

    FYI
    my process just completed:  here is what I see when it is done... (the first you saw in my earlier post.  It took about 15-20 minutes.
    To continue we need to erase the disk at /Volumes/Recovery.
    If you wish to continue type (Y) then press return: y
    Erasing Disk: 0%... 10%... 20%... 30%...100%...
    Copying installer files to disk...
    Copy complete.
    Making disk bootable...
    Copying boot files...
    Copy complete.
    Done.

  • Question about the Intel driver for the IDE controller

    Greetings to all:
    Lenovo has recently published another driver for the IDE controller and I wonder how many of you that have a T60, T60p, T61 and T61p have been able to actually install it.
    My controller device is:
    Intel(R) 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller - 27C4,
    both in XP-SP3 as in Vista SP1, 32bits versions ( see bellow details of my T60p, which has 2 hard drives)
    Interestingly enough the driver on each is v:7.0.0.1020 (2005/05/23) for XP and v:6.0.6001.1800 (2006/06/21) for Vista-B. They are working well as far as I see, but now and several times before, I have tried to update them but they do not install. The message is that I have already the  best driver. I noticed that the label of the controller is not quite exactly spell out in the instruction text file or the .inf, and the one that comes close, is that of the so call ICH7-M family.
    Why is this? There are at least 7 versions discussed in the history.  It it perhaps because the one for the ICH7-M family is always the same? System update does not install them either.
    Forgive my curiosity but why bother publishing if they can not be installed? Or perhaps somebody has. This is not logical.
    Cheers.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    For those who think I can not follow directions.
    First, the driver for the Intel IDE device in a T60p is obviously from Intel. But there are two ways to get it fulfilled.
    Lenovo publish the Intel drivers with perhaps there own twists, refinements and in the absence of clear contrary information, that they are perhaps more fine tuned to the machine. It uses the following inf files to have them install: iaahci.inf and iastor.inf. They are revised whenever Lenovo fell is necessary and eventually published.
    I must assume they are in use if you have a Vista system originally installed by Lenovo and that is why those inf are the ones you find in the updates.
    Mi T60p was purchased 2 years ago with XP-Pro, just before the release of Vista, with the understanding of a free upgrade to Vista-B shall be send when finally released. An Indeed they keep their word and send me a Lenovo branded full version of MS Vista-Business, some 4 months latter (not an image). Rather than upgrade XP-Pro and to avoid the time in limbo and work interruption of the Vista less desirable over XP, I did a successful clean install into a new hard drive, followed by a Lenovo system update, which changed many drivers and installed programs, etc. But as you might imagine, the Intel IDE-SATA driver installed is the one provided by MS (v:6.0.6001.1800 of 2006/06/21), (which uses a different installation file mshdc.inf) and, until proven otherwise, I must assume more generic, since it is for any and all machines, following the standard of the hard drive SATA type.
    Talking to Lenovo support for nearly 1 1/2 hours last week, was at least not good for my blood pressure, while attempting to explain the issue and refuting a collections of nonsense from the support tech. Eventually a supervisor assure me that the driver was the same and that it has not change for a long time, as it is the same even for XP. Well, why bother with updates if that is the case? But I see that there are others IDE drivers species for animals such as Dell, or HP, etc. Thus you must accept that there is a strong case for a Lenovo modified Intel driver and thus the updates. Tech support could not answer such question, nor they were able to install version 8.6.0.1007 (date 2008/12/04) of the driver.
    I fell the machine is working well, but have nothing to compare with (MS Experience Index 4.3). And as usually happened, sometimes you do not appreciate how sick you are, until you get cure. The question remains about the driver been generic and sufficient or specific and optimal.
    Cheers and happy holidays.

  • Questions about using Styles Window for formatting a book in Apple Works.

    Help says "You can create your own styles in any document type." Not clear on how to do that.
    I wish to have one Style or group of Styles associated with one document of say 500 pages for a book. Each chapter Heading. as a single column layout, is separated by Section Breaks from previous and following text in 2 column layout.
    Question 1. How do I make Styles window settings (Edit/Done) specific for this entire document? Can I edit settings in Styles window and have them remain specific and locked to this particular document? Or are the Styles window settings constant across all documents?
    Question 2. (If Styles window settings are not specific and locked to this document) Do I need to make a NEW Style for each purpose within the document, as in Book Heading, Book Subheading, Book Body, Book special paragraph style, and etc.
    Question 3. When importing multiple sections of the work (by copy and paste) from other AW documents how can I have the imported text follow the book’s Style settings (and vice versa how to keep tab settings that are specific in some areas). Sometimes the imported work refuses to conform to the Book document’s style say line spacing for instance.
    Thank you
    Hilary Fish
    iBook G4 Mac OS X (10.4.8) AppleWorks 6.2.9

    Hi Hilary,
    I haven't used styles enough to give definitive answers to your questions, but I'm sure others will join in and correct any errors in what follows.
    A "Style" is essentially a set of paragraph level format settings that can be collectively applied to a paragraph or contiguous set of paragraphs as a set, rather than having to apply each attribute individually. Once a style is applied to various parts of a document, changes made to the style specification will apply to every part of the document to which that style has been applied.
    AppleWorks also includes two other types of Styles—Outline styles (Diamond, Harvard and Legal), used to identify hierarchical levels of paragraphs, and Table styles, used to format tables.
    Question 1: From the Help article "Using Styles":
    You can copy the collection of all the styles available in a document and make them available in another document. This is called exporting and importing a stylesheet.
    I read this as saying that styles you create are specific to the document in which they are created, but may be exported to other documents. "Other documents" would includes documents saved as templates, which could be used to create the various sections of a book.
    Question 2:
    As the set of styles is specific to the document it is created in (or into which it is imported), you can probably leave "Book " off the names of the styles (but may decide that leaving it on makes it easier to know what the styles are for). You will need to use an existing style or create a new one for each purpose within the document.
    Question 3:
    Copy copies the text AND formatting of the selected material.
    Paste pastes the text AND formatting of the selected material.
    Paste also inserts the pasted material into the target document at the insertion point. All of the pasted material goes into the same Section. If the pasted material includes a section break, then a new section will be created in the target document.
    If you export the set of styles from the master document and apply them to the parts of the source document before transferring the material to the master document, I suspect the formatting will be carried over.
    Another possibility is to leave the source document with no formatting at all beyond paragraph breaks, and to apply the formatting (styles) after transferring the text.

  • A question about error with jasperserver for pdf and Apex

    I have created a pdf report on jasperserver and I can call it from apex via a url and it displays fine. The url is this format {http://server:port/jasperserver/flow.html?_flowId=viewReportFlow&reportUnit=/reports/Apex/deptemp&output=pdf&deptNo=#DEPTNO#&j_username=un&j_password=pw}
    However, I am trying to follow a stored procedure executed from Apex so it would not expose the username/pwd in the url like above.
    If I am reading the apache error log correctly it is erroring in this piece of the code below where it executes {Dbms_Lob.writeAppend}
    loop
    begin
    -- read the next chunk of binary data
    Utl_Http.read_raw(vResponse, vData);
    -- append it to our blob for the pdf file
    Dbms_Lob.writeAppend
    ( lob_loc => vBlobRef
    , amount => Utl_Raw.length(vData)
    , buffer => vData
    exception when utl_http.end_of_body then
    exit; -- exit loop
    end;
    end loop;
    Utl_Http.end_response(vResponse);}
    The error log says this; HTTP-500 ORA-14453: attempt to use a LOB of a temporary table, whose data has alreadybeen purged\n
    What is this error telling me and how can I correct it?
    The stored procedure I am following is below but replaced the vReportURL with my url like above that works.
    Thank you,
    Mark
    {CREATE OR REPLACE procedure runJasperReport(i_deptno   in varchar2)
    is
    vReportURL       varchar2(255);
    vBlobRef         blob;
    vRequest         Utl_Http.req;
    vResponse        Utl_Http.resp;
    vData            raw(32767);
    begin
    -- build URL to call the report
    vReportURL := 'http://host:port/jasperserver/flow.html?_flowId=viewReportFlow'||
         '&reportUnit=/reports/Apex/deptemp'||
         '&output=pdf'||
         '&j_username=un&j_password=pw'||
         '&deptNo='||i_deptno;
    -- get the blob reference
    insert into demo_pdf (pdf_report)
    values( empty_blob() )
    returning pdf_report into vBlobRef;
    -- Get the pdf file from JasperServer by simulating a report call from the browser
    vRequest := Utl_Http.begin_request(vReportUrl);
    Utl_Http.set_header(vRequest, 'User-Agent', 'Mozilla/4.0');
    vResponse := Utl_Http.get_response(vRequest);
    loop
    begin
    -- read the next chunk of binary data
    Utl_Http.read_raw(vResponse, vData);
    -- append it to our blob for the pdf file
    Dbms_Lob.writeAppend
    ( lob_loc => vBlobRef
    , amount  => Utl_Raw.length(vData)
    , buffer  => vData
    exception when utl_http.end_of_body then
    exit; -- exit loop
    end;
    end loop;
    Utl_Http.end_response(vResponse);
    owa_util.mime_header('application/pdf',false);
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || dbms_lob.getlength(vBlobRef));
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(vBlobRef);
    end runJasperReport;
    /}

    I am new to working with working with jasperserver to apex interfacing, and also using utl_http with binary data.
    But I guess typing my question down helped me figure out a way to make it work for me.
    I combined info from http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/misc/RetrievingHTMLandBinariesIntoTablesOverHTTP.php
    and from http://sqlcur.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
    to come up with this procedure.
    {create or replace PROCEDURE download_file (p_url  IN  VARCHAR2) AS
      l_http_request   UTL_HTTP.req;
      l_http_response  UTL_HTTP.resp;
      l_blob           BLOB;
      l_raw            RAW(32767);
    BEGIN
      -- Initialize the BLOB.
      DBMS_LOB.createtemporary(l_blob, FALSE);
      -- Make a HTTP request, like a browser had called it, and get the response
      l_http_request  := UTL_HTTP.begin_request(p_url);
      Utl_Http.set_header(l_http_request, 'User-Agent', 'Mozilla/4.0');
      l_http_response := UTL_HTTP.get_response(l_http_request);
      -- Copy the response into the BLOB.
      BEGIN
        LOOP
          UTL_HTTP.read_raw(l_http_response, l_raw, 32767);
          DBMS_LOB.writeappend (l_blob, UTL_RAW.length(l_raw), l_raw);
        END LOOP;
      EXCEPTION
        WHEN UTL_HTTP.end_of_body THEN
          UTL_HTTP.end_response(l_http_response);
      END;
    -- make it display in apex
    owa_util.mime_header('application/pdf',false);
    htp.p('Content-length: ' || dbms_lob.getlength(l_blob));
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(l_blob);
      -- Release the resources associated with the temporary LOB.
    DBMS_LOB.freetemporary(l_blob);
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN
        UTL_HTTP.end_response(l_http_response);
        DBMS_LOB.freetemporary(l_blob);
        RAISE;
    END download_file; }
    Don;t know what I did wrong, but I could not create an 'on-demand' process to call my procedure. I did not understand what it means when it says 'To create an on-demand page process, at least one application level process must be created with the type 'ON-DEMAND'.
    so I had to use a blank page with a call to my procedure in the onload - before header process and that seems to work ok.
    Thank you,
    Mark
