Question about Xmod.. Need answer

I'm really **bleep** Interested in the X-Fi technology and all that.
Firstly the Xmod compared to other X-Fi devices... will the output sound be same in all the cases?

Apart from that all other reviews are mostly : Don't like it... or LOVE it..
It says there isn't any X-Fi chip in the Xmod.
Over that .. the test results are different from the X-Fi sound cards!!
I just need answers from a professional person in this.
Creative... Help me with this.

don't compare xmod with the x-fi pci soundcard. theey are different. xmod is just a gimmick.

There is one way to wipe out all your data on the phone, but its not as easy as *#7370#.

A few questions I really need answered!

Hello, my name is Ryan. My Mom bought me an iPod Classic [80GB Black] and I get to open it before Christmas to put Music on it, Charge it, etc. After reading that many iPod Classic owners are having problems, I need these questions answered:
I have heard that the iPod Classic's hardrive can be heard when playing Music, and watching TV shows,etc. I want to know if mine will have this problem and if it does, can it be fixed so that I can have a great iPod?
I also would like to know how do I get the firmware updates and what do they do?
I know so far that it's in iTunes but don't know where.
When I do get the firmware updates, will it eliminate the hearing the hardrive problem?
The hearing the hardrive problem is my biggest worry. I think that I'm going to get a piece of crap iPod and going to have to return it and go through this whole process again.
My Mom bought the iPod on 12/13/07 and I was wondering if the problem has been fixed with the later batches of iPods?
Please answer these as I am opening the iPod next weekend to put Music on it, Charge it, Firmware Updates then have to open it AGAIN on Christmas.
Again, the hardrive thing is my biggest fear because I want to have an awesome iPod the first time!

Hard drive noise is practically non-existant.
Firmware updates almost happen automatically. I believe yours should have the current firmware on it (1.0.3), Mine did when I bought it on the 9th.
Lag on coverflow's just gonna happen sometimes. But it's not like it takes a whole minute, just a couple seconds if you're doing a fast scan. It's a very cool feature if you're like me and make sure to have covers for all your albums. About the only issue I seem to have with it is that it sorts by artist instead of album title thus resulting in multiple copies in the flow listing if you have different artist listings in one album. But when you click on it it shows the tracks for the whole album so it's no big deal. If you have a few albums with duplicate titles (Like "Greatest Hits") then I suggest just putting the artist name in parenthesis after the album title so you and your ipod don't get confused. Otherwise it'll show the tracks for all the "greatest hits" albums thinking it's all one album... but I think that just happens in album listing... might happen in coverflow once you select a specific album. No big deal there though, nothing to lose sleep over
I hope you enjoy your iPod and your early christmas . It was always tough for me to act surprised when I already knew what my presents were, but maybe you're better at that than me... who knows?

How you delete content from your iPod depends how you have it set to update:
If you are updating automatically then delete the files from the iTunes library and next time you connect they will automatically be deleted from your iPod.
If you are updating manually, connect your iPod and click on the icon when it shows in the iTunes source list. Find the files on your iPod that you want to remove, highlight them and delete directly.
To select multiple items such as all the songs in an album, click on the first track in the list hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight the selection. Then press the delete key.
To summarise, you start by highlighting the song/video/selection in either the iTunes library or on the iPod song list as displayed in iTunes then press the delete key on your keyboard: Deleting songs or playlists from your iPod
There are also a couple of ways that do not involved deleting from iTunes. The default iPod setting is automatically update with iTunes when connected. You can keep the automatically update setting and select "automatically update selected playlists only" then all you need to do is remove the song from the chosen playlist(s) and update, it remains in your library should you want to add it in future.
Another way but more difficult to manage is to choose the "Only update checked songs" option in the iPod Preferences. By un-checking a song in iTunes, it will not be updated to the iPod and if already on the iPod, unchecking the song in iTunes will remove it from the iPod during the next update with iTunes.

No, you should wait till the end of the Welcome video, when the message says it will restart to finish installation it means installation is still in progress, conclude the procedures.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

You don't. Email comes in either by push or when you invoke the email app. Ther is no password except when you first set up the account. If your iPad is not being used as your personal device and you need to shield emails from other users, then don't use the email app. Instead, use web mail if available from your provider.

Thank you Klaus1.The large font, I copied and pasted from my mail box.I'm visually impaired...not to a huge degree but it helps to use the large font.I believe you are right about the copyright on the imac stuff but if facebook decide otherwise, you have to reply electronically to their challenge.If you can't provide a reference directly from the copyright owner then they remove the video.I believe this is a programmed response and no human is involved which now makes it impossible for me to get my video uploading restored.They detect added soundtrack automatically and then challenge.There are many others in the same boat and facebook will not communicate.They have various discussion sites on which I have left messages including Mark Zuckerbergs own facebook but I don't think anyone from facebook ever reads them.I intend to start a second facebook which I can use purely to get my videos uploaded as a lot of my friends enjoy them BUT don't want fall foul of their programming again.If only iMac would put something on the net to this effect.I think it is so unfair that with modern technology it is impossible to contact these large conglomerates personally and receive an email response.I tried emailing [email protected] but I got a failure notice.If you have any ideas on how to get verification from apple direct, I would be very grateful.Thank You.

I want to know - Will I still have my bookmarks, history, addons, plugins, etc.? I do not know what plugins and such that I had. What about my pinned tabs and my tabs that where open.
More information - When I try to start Firefox I keep getting the message that I need to restart my computer in order to complete a previous update attempt. I had Sweetpacks on my PC and I do not know where it came from, it took over my home page in Internet Explorer and Ithink caused the issue with Firefox.
Should I do the clean install or try starting Firefox now.

You won't lose bookmarks and other data in the Firefox profile folder as long as you do not remove personal data in case you uninstall Firefox.

Since 2000, we has used 9iAS Core (R1.2.2) to publish our website. The platform is Suns Solaris (SPARC). The database is Oracle 8i. But there are so many questions:
1. The Web Cache cant be installed well
2. The web pages use JSP to query database with SQL show errors when we refresh the page a few times. The error will disappear after restarting the 9iAS or refreshing the page again. On the other hand, the same pages dont show error on resin. The error is java.sql.SQLException : Closed Connection: next. I supposed that the connection of database has some hidden troubles, but I can find it, could you give me some advice.
Now I have installed 9iAS R2, But when I visited the manage page, I found that a password is needed to visit the web cache manage page. I dont think I have set the password, and then I cant control the web cache. I want to know is a default password occurred? If not, what is the password.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.
